Machen Sie sich bitte unbedingt vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme mit den Funktionen des Gerätes vertraut und informieren Sie sich über den richtigen Umgang mit Elektrowerkzeugen. Lesen Sie bitte hierzu sorgfältig die nachfolgende Bedienungsanleitung sowie die beiliegenden Sicherheitshinweise . Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche.



BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSER GEBRAUCH

Der Exzenterschleifer ist zum trockenen Schleifen und Polieren von Holz, Metall und Lacken geeignet. Beachten Sie bitte, dass Sie zur Bearbeitung der verschiedenen Materialien entsprechende Schleifblätter mit unterschiedlicher Körnung einsetzen und die Drehzahl ebenfalls dem Material anpassen. Jede andere Verwendung oder Veränderung der Maschine gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und birgt erhebliche Unfallgefahren. Für aus bestimmungswidriger Verwendung entstandene Schäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.

DUO-START

SCHLEIFBLATT MONTIEREN ODER WECHSELN

Ziehen Sie vor allen Arbeiten am Gerät den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Der Exzenterschleifer verfügt über eine Klett-Haftung, die ein schnelles und einfaches montieren oder wechseln der Schleifblätter ermöglicht. Hinweis: Entfernen Sie vor dem Befestigen eines neuen Schleifblattes Staub und Schmutz vom Schleifteller Achten Sie darauf, dass die Löcher des Schleifblattes mit den Bohrungen des Schleiftellers

 übereinstimmen.

Sie gewährleisten so eine maximale Staubabsaugung.

Verschiedene Materialien benötigen unterschiedliche Körnungen, welche Körnung für welche Arbeiten geeignet ist, lesen Sie in unseren unverbindlichen Empfehlungen unter »Arbeitshinweise, Tipps und Tricks«.

Beachten Sie die Netzspannung! Die Spannung muß mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Gerätes übereinstimmen (Geräte, die mit 230 V bezeichnet sind, können auch an 220 V angeschlossen werden).

2-FACHE LEISTUNGSREGULIERUNG:

Die DUO-START-Technik schafft hohen Schleifabtrag und bietet Ihnen zwei unterschiedliche Arbeitsweisen. Je nach Einsatz ermöglichen Ihnen beide Griffe eine optimale Verteilung der Kraft sowie eine sichere Handhabung. Arbeiten Sie entweder mit dem Frontgriff

 oder mit dem Handgriff . Den Frontgriff  können Sie mittels der

Flügelschraube auf der rechten Seite in seiner Position verstellen.

REDUZIERTE LEERLAUFDREHZAHL:

Das Gerät verfügt über eine Leerlaufreduzierung der Drehzahl. Erst beim Aufdrücken des Gerätes bzw. beim Bearbeiten der Werkstoffoberfläche aktiviert sich die volle Leistung der vorgewählten Drehzahl. Dies ermöglicht ein gefahrloses Aufsetzen auf das zu bearbeitende Material sowie ein sanftes Anlaufen des Exzenterschleifers.

ARBEITSHINWEISE

Schalten Sie den Exzenterschleifer immer vor Materialkontakt ein und führen Sie das Gerät erst dann auf das Werkstück.

GERINGER SCHLEIFDRUCK GENÜGT

Arbeiten Sie mit möglichst geringem Schleifdruck. Das Eigengewicht des Schleifers reicht für gute Schleifleistungen absolut aus. Zusätzlich schonen Sie durch diese Arbeitsweise den Verschleiß des Schleifblattes, die Oberfläche des Werkstückes wird glatter und der Energieverbrauch verringert.

ABTRAG UND OBERFLÄCHE

Die Abtragsleistung und die Oberflächengüte werden von der Drehgeschwindigkeit und der Kornstärke des Schleifblattes bestimmt (siehe auch Tabelle unter »Arbeitshinweise, Tipps und Tricks«). Grundsätzlich gilt: je höher die Drehzahl, desto höher ist der Abtrag und desto feiner ist die Schleifoberfläche.

STAUB ABSAUGEN

• STAUBABSAUGUNG MIT STAUBFANGBOX

Schieben Sie die Staubfangbox

 auf die Adapteröffnung an der Geräterückseite.

Hinweis: Um eine optimale Absaugleistung zu gewährleisten, die Staubfangbox häufig und rechtzeitig leeren und ausklopfen.

• STAUBABSAUGUNG MIT STAUBSAUGER

Zur Staubabsaugung mittels Staubsauger benutzen Sie den entsprechenden Absaugadapter. Verbinden Sie das Adapterstück mit dem Schlauchendstück Ihres Staubsaugers und setzen Sie es auf den Stutzen am Gerät ein.

WARTUNG UND REINIGUNG

1. Reinigen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig, am besten immer direkt nach Abschluß der Arbeit.

2. Es dürfen keine Flüssigkeiten in das innere des Gerätes gelangen. Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Gehäuses ein weiches Tuch. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall Benzin, Lösungsmittel oder Reiniger, die Kunststoff angreifen.

3. Lüftungsöffnungen müssen immer frei und gesäubert sein.

ARBEITSHINWEISE, TIPPS UND TRICKS

• Bewegen Sie den Schleifer parallel, flächig kreisend oder wechselnd längs und quer.

• Den Schleifer nicht aufdrücken. Die Schleifblätter setzen sich zu und verschlechtern somit den Abtrag.

• Reinigen Sie hin und wieder das Schleifblatt mit dem Staubsauger.

• Mit der richtigen Wahl der Drehzahl und der Körnung des Schleifblattes bestimmen Sie die Abtragsleistung und somit auch das Ergebnis Ihrer Arbeit.

• Schleifen Sie nie mit dem gleichen Schleifblatt unterschiedliche Materialien (z.B. Holz und anschließend Metall).

• Nur mit einwandfreien Schleifblättern erreichen Sie gute Schleifleistungen und schonen die Maschine.

Please make sure you familiarise yourself fully with the way the equipment works before you use it for the first time and that you understand how to handle electrical power tools correctly. Please read the operating instructions below and the accompanying safety advice carefully. Use the tool only as described and for the indicated purposes. By doing this you will be able to work with a high level of safety and produce better results. We hope you enjoy using your random orbital sander.



PROPER USE

The random orbital sander is intended for dry-sanding and polishing wood, metal and paint. Always use a sanding disc and grade of grit suitable for the particular surface you are sanding. The speed selected should also be appropriate. Any other use or modification to the random orbital sander shall be considered as improper use and could give rise to considerable dangers. The manufacturer will not accept liability for loss or damage arising from improper use.

• The sander is not designed for wet sanding and therefore must be used for dry sanding only.

• It must not be used on any materials containing asbestos.

• Wear ear protectors. Look after your health – please wear safety glasses and a breathing/dust mask.

• Please take note that working with stone, wood and materials containing lead may give rise to dusts that are hazardous to health.

• Always keep the mains cable away from the working area of the sander and lead away the cable from the rear.

• If the mains lead becomes damaged it must be replaced by a special lead, which can be obtained from the manufacturer or his service department.

ATTACHING AND REPLACING SANDING DISCS

Before starting any work on your sander, pull the plug out of the mains socket. The random orbital sander is fitted with a Velcro fastening, which allows for quick and easy replacement of sanding discs. Note: Remove dust and dirt from the backing pad sure that the holes in the sanding disc align with the holes in the backing pad

Different materials require different grades of grit. You can read about the various grit grades and the work for which they are suitable in our informal recommendations under “Advice on use, Tips and Tricks”.

OPERATION

Take note of the mains voltage.The voltage must agree with that shown on the equipment rating plate (equipment shown as 230 V can also be connected to 220 V).

PRESELECT ROTATION SPEED:

The desired rotation speed can be preselected as required using the rotation speed selector wheel materials require you to work with different rotation speeds. To help in selecting the most appropriate rotation speed, please refer to our recommendations under “Tips and Tricks”.

REDUCED NO-LOAD ROTATION SPEED:

The sander has a reduced no-load rotational speed facility. It is only when you press down on the sander or actually sand the workpiece that the full power of the preselected rotation speed is triggered. This means that you can safely bring the sanding disc into contact with the workpiece material and then gently start your orbital sanding process.

ADVICE ON USE

Always switch on the random orbital sander before bringing it into contact with the workpiece material.

USE LIGHT SANDING PRESSURE ONLY

Always work applying the lightest possible sanding pressure. The weight of the sander alone is perfectly adequate to produce good sanding results. By adopting this approach you will also prolong the life of your sanding discs, obtain a smoother workpiece surface and reduce the amount of energy consumed.

SANDING AND SURFACES

The sanding output and the quality of the surface finish are determined by the rotation speed and the grade of grit on the sanding disc (see table under “Advice on use, Tips and Tricks”). The following basic rule applies: the higher the rotational speed, the higher the sanding output and the finer the sanded surface finish.

VACUUM DUST EXTRACTION

• VACUUM DUST EXTRACTION USING THE DUST COLLECTION BOX

Push the dust collection box

 on to the adapter opening on the side of the sander.

Note: Empty the dust collection box regularly and at the appropriate intervals, striking the box to dislodge any adhering dirt. This will ensure optimum suction for dust removal.

• VACUUM DUST EXTRACTION USING A VACUUM CLEANER

To use a vacuum cleaner for dust extraction you will require the appropriate adapter. Connect the adapter to the hose end piece of your vacuum cleaner and attach it on to the nozzle of the sander.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Clean the sander frequently. For best results, do this immediately after you have finished using it.

2. Do not allow any liquids to enter the sander. Use a soft cloth to clean the housing. Never use petrol, solvents or cleaning agents as these may attack the plastic.

3. Always keep the ventilation openings clean and unobstructed.

ADVICE ON USE, TIPS AND TRICKS

• Move the sander in parallel runs, large circles or alternate longitudinal and transverse runs.

• Do not press on the sander. Otherwise the sanding discs may be displaced and detrimentally affect the sanding performance.

• Clean the sanding disc from time to time with a vacuum cleaner.

• By selecting the correct rotational speed and the grade of grit on the sanding disc you can determine the sanding output and the results you obtain.

• Do not work on different types of material using the same disc (e.g. wood and then metal).

• Only by using sanding discs in perfect condition will you enjoy good results and protect your sander.

UTILISATION CONFORME A L'USAGE PREVU

• Si le cordon de raccordement est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un cordon spécial, disponible chez le fabricant ou auprès de son SAV.

MONTAGE OU REMPLACEMENT DE L'ABRASIF

Avant tous travaux au niveau de l'appareil, débranchez la prise. La ponceuse orbitale dispose d'une fixation auto-agrippante permettant un montage ou un remplacement simple et rapide des abrasifs. Avis: avant de mettre un nouvel abrasif en place, nettoyez le plateau  afin d'éliminer les poussières et salissures. Veillez à ce que les orifices de l'abrasif correspondent à ceux du plateau

. Vous assurerez ainsi

une aspiration maximale des poussières.

Des matériaux différents nécessitent des grains différents; pour savoir quels grains sont adaptés pour les différents travaux, lisez nos recommandations sans engagement au chapitre »Informations relatives au travail, trucs et astuces«.

SERVICE

Tenez compte de la tension du secteur ! La tension doit correspondre aux données de la plaque signalétique de l'appareil (les appareils pour un courant de 230 V peuvent également être branchés sur 220 V).

PRESELECTION DE LA VITESSE DE ROTATION:

Vous pouvez régler la vitesse de rotation voulue selon les besoins à l'aide de la roulette de réglage sur des matériaux différents impliquant des vitesses de rotation différentes, consultez au chapitre »Trucs et astuces« les réglages recommandés pour les exemples d'utilisation.

REGLAGE DE PUISSANCE DOUBLE:

La technique DUO-START permet un enlèvement important et vous offre deux modes de travail. Selon l'utilisation, les deux poignées vous permettent une répartition optimale de la force, ainsi qu'une manipulation sûre. Travaillez soit avec la poignée avant

 soit avec la poignée . Vous pouvez modifier la position de la poignée avant 

à l'aide de la vis à molette située sur le côté droit.

VITESSE DE ROTATION REDUITE EN COURSE A VIDE:

L'appareil dispose d'un dispositif de réduction de la vitesse de rotation en course à vide. La pleine puissance de la vitesse de rotation présélectionnée n'est activée que lorsque l'on appuie l'appareil sur la surface à traiter ou lors du travail sur le matériau. Ceci permet de poser l'appareil sans danger sur le matériau et assure un démarrage en douceur de la ponceuse orbitale.

INFORMATIONS RELATIVES AU TRAVAIL

Mettez toujours la ponceuse orbitale en marche avant de la mettre en contact avec le matériau, puis posez l'appareil sur la pièce à traiter.

UNE FAIBLE PRESSION SUFFIT

Travaillez toujours avec une pression la plus faible possible. Le poids propre de la ponceuse suffit parfaitement

pour obtenir de bons résultats. De plus, cette façon de travailler réduit l'usure de l'abrasif, la surface de la pièce devient plus lisse et la consommation d'énergie est plus faible.

ENLEVEMENT ET SURFACE

Le rendement d'enlèvement et la qualité de la surface sont fonction de la vitesse de rotation et du grain de l'abrasif (voir également le tableau au chapitre »Informations relatives au travail, trucs et astuces«). De manière générale: plus la vitesse de rotation est élevée, plus l'enlèvement est important et plus la surface poncée est fine.

ASPIRATION DES POUSSIERES

Faites glisser la boîte de récupération des poussières

 sur l'orifice à adaptateur au dos de l'appareil. Avis: pour

assurer une puissance d'aspiration optimale, vider souvent et à temps la boîte de récupération des poussières et tapez dessus pour bien la vider.

• ASPIRATION DES POUSSIERES AVEC UN ASPIRATEUR

Pour aspirer les poussières avec un aspirateur, utilisez l'adaptateur correspondant. Raccordez l'adaptateur à l'extrémité du tuyau flexible de votre aspirateur et placez-le sur le manchon au niveau de l'appareil.

MAINTENANCE ET NETTOYAGE

1. Nettoyez régulièrement l'appareil, de préférence toujours immédiatement après le travail.

2. Veillez à ce qu'aucuns liquides ne pénètrent à l'intérieur de l'appareil. Pour le nettoyage du boîtier, utilisez un chiffon doux. N'utilisez en aucun cas de l'essence, des solvants ou des produits nettoyants attaquant le plastique.

3. Veillez à ce que les fentes d'aération soient toujours libres et propres.

INFORMATIONS RELATIVES AU TRAVAIL, TRUCS ET ASTUCES

• Faites évoluer la ponceuse par mouvements parallèles, circulaires ou alternativement longitudinaux et transversaux.

• Ne pas presser sur la ponceuse. Les abrasifs s'encrassent et l'enlèvement se dégrade.

• Nettoyez de temps à autres l'abrasif avec l'aspirateur .

• La sélection de la vitesse de rotation et du grain d'abrasif corrects vous permet de déterminer le rendement d'enlèvement et donc le résultat de votre travail.

• Ne poncez jamais des matériaux différents avec le même abrasif (par exemple du bois puis du métal).

• Vous n'obtiendrez de bons résultats et ne prendrez soin de votre machine qu'avec des abrasifs en parfait état.

UTILIZZO CORRETTO

La smerigliatrice eccentrica è adatta alla smerigliatura secca e la lucidatura di legno, metallo e vernici. Tenete conto che per la lavorazione dei diversi materiali servono diversi fogli smerigliatrici con diversa granatura; altresì si deve adattare il numero d giri al tipo di materiale. Ogni utilizzo oppure modifica dell’apparecchio non è corrispondente al uso corretto e comporta gravi pericoli di incidenti. Il produttore non risponde per danni causati dall’uso improprio dell’apparecchio.

MONTAGGIO O SOSTITUZIONE DEL FOGLI SMERIGLIATRICE

Togliere la spina dalla presa prima di qualsiasi lavoro sull’apparecchio. La smerigliatrice eccentrica dispone di un fissaggio a velcro, che permette il montaggio o la sostituzione semplice e rapida dei fogli smerigliatrice. Nota: Prima di fissare un nuovo foglio togliere polvere e sporco dal piatto corrispondono ai fori sul piatto

 In questo modo si garantisce la massima aspirazione di polvere.

Diversi materiali necessitano di granature diverse. Vedi le indicazioni al capitolo „Note per il lavoro, Consigli e trucchi”

USO

Osservare la tensione di rete! La tensione deve corrispondere alla tensione indicata sulla targhetta del apparecchio (Apparecchi contrassegnati con 230V possono essere collegati ad una presa con 220V).

SELEZIONE DEL NUMERO DI GIRI:

Il numero di giri desiderato può essere selezionato con il regolatore materiali servono diversi numeri di giri. Vedi al capitolo “Consigli e trucchi” le impostazioni consigliate con esempi d’uso.

REGOLAZIONE DUPLICE DELLA POTENZA:

La tecnica DUO-START crea un’alta asportazione smerigliante ed offre due diversi tipi di lavoro.A seconda dell’impiego entrambe le maniglie offrono la distribuzione ottimale della forza ed un vaneggiamento sicuro. Lavorate o con la maniglia frontale

 oppure con la maniglia . La maniglia frontale  può essere spostata di

posizione mediante la vite ad alette sul lato destro.

NUMERO DI GIRI A VUOTO RIDOTTO:

L’apparecchio dispone di una riduzione del numero di giri a vuoto. Solo appoggiando l’apparecchio e/o lavorando la superficie del pezzo da lavorare, si attiva la piena potenza del numero di giri selezionato. Questo permette l’appoggio senza pericolo sul pezzo da lavorare e l’avviamento dolce della smerigliatrice eccentrica.

INDICAZIONI PER IL LAVORO

Accendere la smerigliatrice eccentrica sempre prima di toccare il materiale e portare poi l’apparecchio sul pezzo da lavorare.

BASTA UNA PRESSIONE MINIMA

Lavorare sempre con una pressione minima. Il peso proprio della smerigliatrice basta per una buona potenza abrasiva. In questo modo minimizzate l’usura del foglio abrasivo, la superficie del pezzo da lavorare diventa più liscia ed il consumo viene minimizzato.
