Information regarding these operating instructions

These operating instructions are a component of the SLS 1000 A1 charging station (henceforth designated as the device) and they provide you with important information regarding the intended use, safety and connection as well as operation of the device .

The operating instructions must be kept available in the vicinity of the device at all times. They are to be read and applied by anyone assigned to operate, and repair faults in the device.

Retain these operating instructions and pass them on with the device to any future owners.

Proper usage

This device is intended exclusively for power supply to devices that have an operating voltage of 5 V (mobile telephones, MP3 players, etc.). Any other use or usage beyond those mentioned is considered improper use and can result in damages and injuries. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted.

“Made for iPod” and “Made for iPhone” mean that an electronic accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPod, iPhone, respectively, and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Apple is not responsible for the operation of this device or its compliance with safety and

Safety instructions

For safe handling of the device observe the following safety instructions:

■Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not put into operation a device that is damaged or has been dropped.

■Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by authorised qualified persons or by the customer service department.

■This device is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instructions on how the device is to be used.

■Only allow children to use the device under supervision.

■Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration. Never submerge the device in water, do not place the device in the vicinity of water and do not stand any object filled with liquid (i.e. vases) on the device.

■The device is intended for indoor use only .

■Do not place the device in the vicinity of flammable or explosive devices.

■Do not operate the device in the vicinity of open flames (i.e. candles).

■Do not place the device in locations that are subject to direct sunlight. as this could lead to overheating and cause irreparable damage.

■Use only the provided power supply unit. When using other power supply units the charging station and/or connected devices could be damaged.

■Never connect a voltage source/mains power supply to the output socket (connection socket for the adapter cable) of the charging station.

■Disconnect the device before cleaning and when not in use from the mains power supply and from connected devices to avoid the risk of an electric shock.

■The mains power supply unit consumes power in the standby mode therefore disconnect it completely from the mains power supply when not in use.

■Always pull on the power supply unit when disconnecting from the wall socket, never pull on the connection cord.

■In the event of malfunctions or thunderstorms, remove the plug from the mains power socket.

■The mains power socket must at all times be easily accessible, so that the power adapter can be easily and quickly removed in an emergency.

►Packaging material should not be used, by children, as a play thing. There is a risk of su ocation!

►To avoid risks to persons and property, observe the requirements for the set-up location and the electrical connections.

NOTICE

►Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for visible damage.

►If the contents are not complete or are damaged as a result of defective packaging or through transportation contact the service hotline

(see chapter Service).

Unpacking

♦Remove all device parts and these operating instructions from the carton.

♦Remove all packaging materials from the device.

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces generated waste. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.

Electrical connection

IMPORTANT

►Before connection of the device compare the specifications for the required input voltage on the rating plate with the intended voltage source for operation. This data must be compatible to avoid possible damage to the device.

►Make sure that the mains power supply unit's 8 cable is not damaged and does not run across hot surfaces and/or sharp edges, otherwise it will become damaged.

►Make sure that the mains power supply unit's 8 cable is not stretched or knoted.

♦Plug the mains power supply unit 8 into a mains wall socket. The operation LED 9 lights up.

♦Connect the mains power supply unit 8 to the charging station by inserting

the plug into the connection socket 2 on the rear panel of the device. The operation LED lights up.

Preparation

1.Check the maximum input voltage of the device that you want to charge. This information can be found in the device's operating instructions.

2.Make sure that the maximum current consumption does not exceed 1000 mA (only when using the USB ports 7 ) and/or 2000 mA. This information can be found in the device's operating instructions.

3.Check which adapter cable is required for the device (see the compatibility table p. 12 + 13).

Charging of 5 V devices

1.Remove the cover from the charging station and insert the plug of the applicable adapter cable in one of the connection sockets 3 - 6 and/or the iPod/iPhone cable 21 into the USB port 7 .

2.Place the cover back on the charging station thereby feeding the adapter cable through the cut-out on the front panel of the cover.

3.Plug the other end of the adapter cable into the device's power supply socket. The device now receives its power supply from the charging station. If the device has a charge control indicator, this will show that the device is charging.

NOTICE

►The charging station is so e cient that all 4 connection sockets 3 - 6 and the USB port 7 can be used at the same time.

►Do not use any aggressive cleaning or scouring agents as these could damage the housing surfaces.

Storage

♦ Store the device in a dry environment.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the device in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the device through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, consult your local disposal facility.

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

NOTICE

►The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.

This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorised service branch.

FI	Tämä käyttöohje on latausaseman SLS 1000 A1 (seuraavassa laite) osa ja se
	sisältää määräysten mukaista käyttöä, turvallisuutta, liitäntää sekä laitteen käyttöä
	koskevia tärkeitä ohjeita.
	Käyttöohjeen on aina oltava laitteen lähellä helposti saatavilla. Jokaisen laitteen

Määräystenmukainen käyttö

Tämä laite on tarkoitettu ainoastaan virransyöttöön laitteilla, joiden käyttöjännite on 5 V (matkapuhelimet, MP3-soittimet jne.). Muu tai tämän ylittävä käyttö katsotaan määräystenvastaiseksi ja voi johtaa vaurioihin ja vammoihin. Emme vastaa minkäänlaisista määräystenvastaisesta käytöstä johtuvista vahingoista.

”Made for iPod” ja ”Made for iPhone” tarkoittaa, että elektroninen lisävarusteosa on suunniteltu erityisesti iPodiin tai iPhoneen liitettäväksi ja kehittäjä takaa, että laite vastaa Applen toimintastandardeja. Turvaohjeita

Laitteen turvallisessa käsittelyssä on noudatettava seuraavia turvaohjeita:

	FI		■ Tarkasta laite ennen käyttöä ulkoisten vaurioiden osalta. Älä ota viallista tai
				pudonnutta laitetta käyttöön.
			■ Mikäli kaapeli tai liitännät ovat vaurioituneet, ne on annettava valtuutetun
				ammattilaisen tai huoltopalvelun korjattavaksi.
			■ Tätä laitetta ei ole tarkoitettu sellaisten henkilöiden (mukaan lukien lapset)
				käyttöön, joiden rajoitetut, fyysiset, aistilliset tai henkiset kyvyt tai kokemuksen
				ja/tai tiedon puute estävät käytön, lukuun ottamatta tilanteita, joissa heitä
				valvoo turvallisuudesta vastaava henkilö tai joissa he ovat saaneet tältä
				ohjeita laitteen käytöstä.
			■ Lapset saavat käyttää laitetta vain valvonnan alaisena.
			■ Suojaa laite kosteudelta ja sisään tunkeutuvilta nesteiltä. Älä koskaan upota
				laitetta veteen, aseta sitä veden läheisyyteen tai aseta nestettä sisältäviä
				esineitä (esim. maljakoita) sen päälle.
			■	Laite on tarkoitettu ainoastaan sisätiloissa				käytettäväksi.
			■ Älä aseta laitetta syttyvien tai räjähdysvaarallisten laitteiden lähelle.
			■ Älä käytä laitetta avotulen (esim. kynttilöiden) lähellä.
			■ Älä sijoita laitetta paikkaan, jossa se altistuu suoralle auringonvalolle. Laite
				saattaa tällöin ylikuumentua ja vahingoittua niin, että sitä ei enää voi korjata.
			■ Käytä ainoastaan mukana toimitettua pistokeverkkolaitetta. Muita verkkolait-
				teita käytettäessä latausasema ja / tai liitetyt laitteet saattavat vahingoittua.
			■ Älä koskaan liitä virtalähdettä / pistokeverkkolaitetta latausaseman lähtölii-
				täntään (adapterijohdon liitäntäholkkiin).
			■ Irrota laite pistokeverkkolaitteesta ennen puhdistusta ja pistokeverkkolaitteen
				ja siihen liitettyjen laitteiden ollessa käyttämättä sähköiskun vaaran välttämiseksi.
			■ Pistokeverkkolaite käyttää valmiustilassa virtaa, irrota se siksi sähköverkosta,
				kun sitä ei käytetä.

■ Vedä tulojohto pistorasiasta aina pistokeverkkolaitteesta, ei liitäntäjohdosta. ■ Irrota pistokeverkkolaite pistorasiasta, jos esiintyy häiriöitä tai ukkosta.

■ Pistorasian on sijaittava helppopääsyisessä paikassa, jotta pistokeverkkolaite voidaan hätätapauksessa irrottaa helposti.

Purkaminen pakkauksesta

♦Ota kaikki laitteen osat ja tämä ohje pakkauksesta.

♦Poista kaikki pakkausmateriaalit laitteesta.

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit on valittu ympäristöystävälliset ja hävittämistä koskevat seikat huomioonottaen ja ne voi siksi kierrättää.

Pakkauksen palauttaminen materiaalikiertoon säästää raaka-aineita ja vähentää jätteiden määrää. Hävitä pakkausmateriaalit käytön jälkeen paikallisten voimassa olevien määräysten mukaisesti.

HUOMIO

►Vertaa ennen laitteen liittämistä tyyppikilvessä ilmoitettuja tarvittavan tulojännitteen tietoja käyttöön tarkoitetun jännitelähteen tietoihin. Tietojen on vastattava toisiaan laitteen vaurioitumisen estämiseksi.

►Varmistu, että pistokeverkkolaitteen 8 johto ei ole vaurioitunut eikä sitä vedetä kuumien pintojen ja/tai terävien reunojen yli, muuten se vaurioituu.

►Varmista, ettei pistokeverkkolaitteen 8 johtoa vedetä kireälle tai taiteta.

♦ Liitä pistokeverkkolaite 8 pistorasiaan. Käytön merkkivalo 9 palaa.

♦Liitä pistokeverkkolaite 8 latausasemaan liittämällä pistokkeen laitteen taustapuolella sijaitsevaan liitäntäholkkiin 2 . Käytön merkkivalo palaa.
