SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the unit, read these instructions carefully. Keep these instructions for further reference. Use the unit for intended purposes only, as specified in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

•• Before using the unit, examine the power cord and the power cord connector located on the unit body closely and make sure that they are not damaged. Do not use the unit if the power cord or the power cord connector is damaged.

•• Before switching the unit on, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the unit operating voltage.

•• The power cord is equipped with a «europlug»; plug it into the socket with a reliable grounding contact.

•• Do not use adapters for plugging the unit in.

•• Make sure that the power cord is properly inserted into the corresponding connector on the unit body and into the mains the socket.

•• Use only the supplied power cord; do not use power cords of other units.

•• Use the supplied removable parts only.

•• Place the unit on a flat heat-resistant surface away from moisture, heat sources and open flame.

•• Place the unit with free access to the mains socket.

•• Use the unit in places with proper ventilation.

•• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.

•• Do not place the unit too close to the room wall and to furniture walls.

•• Provide that the power cord does not contact with hot surfaces and sharp furniture edges. Avoid damaging the power cord isolation.

•• Do not touch the power cord or power plug with wet hands.

•• Do not immerse the unit, the power cord and the power plug into water or any other liquids.

•• If the unit is dropped into water, unplug it immediately by taking the power plug out of the mains socket. Do not put your hands into water!

•• Apply to the authorized service center for checking the unit.

•• Do not insert foreign objects into the openings of the unit or between its parts.

•• Do not let foreign objects or edges of clothes get between the lid and unit body.

•• Do not leave the unit unattended, if you are not using the unit, switch it off and unplug it.

•• To avoid burns, do not bend over the steam release opening. Be very careful when opening the multicooker lid during and immediately after the cooking. Danger of burns by hot steam!

•• When the unit is operating in the «Roasting» mode, do not bend over the multicooker bowl to avoid burns by splashing hot oil.

•• Do not leave the lid of the unit open during operation, with the exception of the «Roasting» program.

•• Do not touch the surface of the lid during multicooker operation, open the lid only by pressing the lid opening button.

•• To avoid burns by hot steam, be very careful when opening the multicooker lid.

•• Keep the steam release openings clean, and clean them when they get dirty.

•• Never use the unit without the installed bowl, do not switch the multicooker on without products and sufficient amount of liquid in the cooking bowl.

•• Do not use the multicooker if the silicone gasket on the inner side of the lid is damaged.

•• Follow the recommendations as to amount of dry products and liquids.

•• Do not remove the bowl during the unit operation.

•• Do not cover the multicooker during operation.

Attention! When steaming food, watch the level of liquid in the bowl, add water into the bowl as needed. Do not leave the unit unattended!

•• Do not carry the unit during operation. Use the carrying handle, having unplugged the unit, removed the bowl with food and let the multicooker cool down preliminarily.

•• The lid, cooking bowl and body parts heat up strongly during operation, do not touch them, if you need to take out the hot bowl, use potholders.

•• Clean the unit regularly.

•• For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags used as a packaging unattended.

•• Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

•• Do not allow children under 8 years of age to touch the unit body, the power cord or the power plug during operation of the unit.

•• Do not leave children unattended to prevent using the unit as a toy.

•• Close supervision is necessary when children under 8 years of age or disabled persons are near the operating unit.

•• This unit is not intended for usage by children under 8 years of age.

•• This unit is not intended for usage by people (including children over 8) with physical, neural and mental disorders or with insufficient experience or knowledge. Such persons may use this unit only if they are under supervision of a

person who is responsible for their safety and if they are given all the necessary and understandable instructions concerning the safe usage of the unit and information about danger that can be caused by its improper usage.

•• To avoid damages, transport the unit in the original package only.

•• Never use the unit if the power cord or the power plug is damaged, if the unit works improperly or after it was dropped.

•• Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not disassemble the unit by yourself, if any malfunction is detected or after it was dropped, unplug the unit and apply to any authorized service center from the contact address list given in the warranty certificate and on the website www.vitek.ru.

•• Keep the unit in a dry cool place out of reach of children and disabled persons.

THIS UNIT IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USAGE ONLY

RULES OF USING OF THE COOKING BOWL (21)

•• Use the unit and its parts for the intended purposes only. Do not use the cooking bowl (21) by placing it on heating units or cooking surfaces.

•• Do not replace the bowl (21) with another container.

•• Always make sure that the heating element surface and the bottom of the bowl (21) are clean and dry.

•• Do not use the bowl (21) as a container for mixing products. Never chop products in the bowl (21) to avoid the damage of the nonstick coating.

•• Do not use the bowl (21) if it is deformed or if the non-stick coating is damaged.

•• Never leave and keep any foreign objects in the bowl (21).

•• When cooking food in the bowl (21) stir it only with the plastic soup ladle (23) or spatula (24).

•• Do not use metal objects that can damage the non-stick coating of the bowl (21).

•• After installing the bowl (21) into the multicooker body make sure it is installed properly by turning it in any direction. Before selecting the cooking mode make sure that the bowl is installed properly; otherwise do not start cooking.

•• After cooking dishes with spices and seasonings it is recommended to wash the bowl (21) immediately.

•• To avoid damage of the non-stick coating do not put the bowl (21) into cold water immediately after cooking; let it cool down preliminarily.

•• The bowl (21) is not intended for washing in the dishwashing machine.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature keep it for at least three hours at room temperature before switching on.

–Unpack the unit, remove any stickers and package materials that can prevent multicooker operation.

–Place the multicooker on a flat heat-resistant surface away from all kitchen heat sources (such as a gas cooker, electric cooker or cooking unit).

–Place the unit keeping at least a 20 cm gap between the multicooker body and the wall and 30-40 cm of space above the unit.

–Do not place the multicooker close to objects that can be damaged by the released steam of high temperature.

Attention! Do not use the unit near bath tubs, kitchen sinks or other containers filled with water.

–Open the lid (4) by pressing the button (5) and pulling the handle (6).

–Wash all the removable parts – the bowl (21), steam cooking basket (22), soup ladle (23), spatula (24) and measuring cup (25) – with a soft sponge with neutral detergent, then rinse under running water and dry.

–Clean the unit body with a damp cloth, then wipe it dry.

USING THE MULTICOOKER

ATTENTION!

•• Never leave the operating unit unattended.

•• During the first operation of the multicooker, some foreign smell from the heating element can appear. It is normal.

•• Before you start cooking make sure that the multicooker lid is closed tightly to avoid bad cooking caused by disrupted heat-insulation.

•• To avoid burns be very careful when opening the lid (4), do not bend over the steam release openings (7) during unit operation and do not place open parts of your body above the bowl (21)!

•• Do not touch the upper lid (4), especially its transparen part during the multicooker operation.

•• Watch the food during cooking and, if necessary, stir the products with the plastic soup ladle (23) or spatula (24). Do not use metal objects that can scratch the nonstick coating of the bowl (21).

•• Do not leave the plastic soup ladle (23) or spatula (24) in the bowl.

•• You may use the holder (loop) on the unit body to store the soup ladle (23) or spatula (24).

Note:

The keyboard on the front panel of the multicooker is touch-sensitive, so you only need to touch slightly the marked point for each button to activate it. Every pressing of the buttons is accompanied by a short sound signal.

1. Unit connection (standby mode)

After connecting the multicooker to the mains you’ll hear a short sound signal, and then the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3) and the display (9) will show the bowl bottom temperature. The unit is switched to the standby mode and ready for use.

2. Selecting and starting the cooking program

Press the «MENU» button (18) consequently, the indicators of cooking programs (15) and the «START» button (14) will be flashing alternately on the control panel, and the cooking (default) time will be shown on the display (3). You can also use the buttons «–» (17) and «+» (19) to switch to the previous cooking program or select the next one. After selecting the desired cooking progam press the «START» button (14), and the cooking process will start; the indicator of the corresponding cooking program will light up and the other cooking program indicators will not. The countdown of the remaining time of the selected cooking program will be shown on the display (3).

Note:

•• To select the Cooking program quicker press and hold the «–» (17) and «+» (19) buttons.

•• If no button is pressed after selecting the required program, after some time (~100 seconds) you will hear 15 short sound signals and the unit will switch back to the standby mode and will be ready for selecting a new cooking program.

3.Cancelling the selected function/ cooking program

To cancel the selected function, press the «MAINTAIN t°/CANCEL» button (13).

To cancel the selected cooking program, press and hold the button (13) for more than 2 seconds, the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display

(3) and the bowl bottom temperature will appear on the display (9). The unit will switch back to the standby mode.

4.End of cooking program

After cooking is finished you will hear 5 sound signals, the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3), and the display (9) will show the bowl bottom temperature. Depending on the selected

cooking program, the unit will be switched to the keep warm mode automatically or will switch back to the standby mode and be ready for selecting a new cooking program.

To stop the selected cooking program, press and hold the button (13) for more than 2 seconds, the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3) and the bowl bottom temperature will appear on the display (9). After that the unit will be switched to the standby mode.

5. Keep warm mode

Upon finishing of certain cooking programs the unit will be switched to the keep warm mode automatically. See the table to find the cooking programs in which the keep warm mode switches

on automatically. In this case the keep warm mode indicator (13) will be flashing after such programs are started.

After such cooking program is finished, the multicooker will be switched to the keep warm mode automatically. The keep warm indicator (13) will stop flashing and will light constantly, the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3) and the count of the keep warm time will start. The bowl temperature will be maintained for 24 hours and the display

(9) will show the bowl bottom temperature.

Note:

•• In the keep warm mode the bowl bottom temperature is maintained at 70-75°C.

•• Despite the unit keeps the ready dish warm for 24 hours, it is not recommended to leave the food in this mode for too long, because this may spoil the food.

To switch the keep warm mode off press and hold the «MAINTAIN t°/CANCEL» button (13) for more than 2 seconds. The keep warm mode indicator (13) will go out, the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3) and the bowl bottom temperature will appear on the display (9). After that the unit will be switched to the standby mode.

To switch the keep warm mode on, press the «MAINTAIN t°/CANCEL» button (13), the symbols «00:00» will appear on the display (3) and the count of the keep warm time will start, the cooking program indicators will not light up.

6. Changing the cooking time.

After the desired cooking program is selected (see paragraph 2), the default cooking time for this program will be shown on the display (3). To change the cooking time, press the «t°С/ TIME» button (16), the time symbols on the display (3) will start flashing. Use the «–» (17) and «+» (19) buttons to decrease or increase the cooking time according to the table above. After setting the cooking time, press the «START» button (14). The countdown of the set cooking time will be shown on the display (3).

Note: Press and hold down the «–» (17) and «+» (19) buttons to set the time quicker.

7. Delayed Start

After selecting the desired cooking program (see paragraph 2) press the «Delayed start» button (20), the button indicator will light up and the time indications on the display (3) will start flashing. Use the «–» (17) and «+» (19) buttons to set the delayed start time. After you finish set-

ting the time press the «START» button (14), the countdown of remaining time will start on the display (3) and the multicooker will switch to the standby (delayed start) mode.

•• Maximal delayed start time you can set is 24 hours, the minimal time is 5 minutes.

•• In the standby (delayed start) mode the «Delayed start» button (20) indicator will be glowing constantly and the time until the cooking start will be shown on the display (3).

•• When the set time expires, the button (20) indicator will go out and the multicooker will start cooking.

•• In the delayed start mode you can control the keep warm mode.

•• To cancel the delayed start press and hold down the «MAINTAIN t°/CANCEL» button (13) for more than 2 seconds. The multicooker will switch back to the standby mode and will be ready for selecting a new cooking program.

8. Changing the cooking temperature

Changing the cooking temperature is available only in the Multicook mode.

After selecting the «MULTICOOK» program the default cooking temperature for this program will be shown on the display (9). To change the cooking temperature press the «t°С/TIME» button (16) twice, the temperature indications on the display

(9) will be flashing. Use the «–» (17) and «+» (19) buttons to decrease or increase the cooking temperature. After setting the cooking temperature press the «START» button (14), and the multicooker will start the cooking process.

«MULTICOOK» PROGRAM

The «Multicook» program allows you to change the cooking temperature within the range from 30°C to 150°C and the cooking time from 5 minutes to 10 hours in accordance with your needs and preferences.

After the «MULTICOOK» program is selected (see paragraph 2), the default cooking temperature for this program will be shown on the display (9) and the default cooking time for this program will be shown on the display (3).

To change the cooking time press the «t°С/TIME» button (16) once (see paragraph 6) and to change the cooking temperature press it twice (see paragraph 8).

After setting the cooking temperature and time press the «START» button (14), and the multicooker will start the cooking process.

COOKING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RICE AND CEREALS

GENERAL EXAMPLE OF RICE LOADING Measure rice with the measuring cup (25) (one measuring cup is equal to approximately 160 grams of rice), wash it and place in the bowl. The water level required for a certain amount of measuring cups of rice is given on the right side of the «CUP» scale inside the bowl (21). The levels of the «CUP» scale correspond to a certain amount of water and measuring cups of rice. Pour water up to the corresponding mark.

Example: After putting four measuring cups of cereal, pour water up to the mark

«4 CUP» (4 cups). For liquid porridges it is recommended to mix rice and water in the proportion 1:3.

Note: If you put more than 8 cups of rice into the bowl (21), the cooked rice will be softer, because the bowl bottom and walls will be heated longer.

CLEANING AND CARE

•• Unplug the unit and let it cool down.

•• As the drip container (8) is filled up, remove the container (8) and pour the accumulated fluid out of it.

•• Clean the unit body (1) and lid (4) with a slightly damp cloth, and then wipe them dry.

•• Wash all removable parts with a soft sponge and neutral detergent, then rinse under running water.

•• Do not put the bowl (21) in the dishwashing machine.

•• Wipe the surface of the heating element (only when it is cold), do not allow water to get inside the unit body.

•• Do not immerse the unit body, power cord and power plug into water or any other liquids.

•• Do not use abrasive and aggressive detergents for washing the unit and accessories.

SICHERHEITSMAßNAHMEN

Vor der ersten Nutzung des Geräts lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie diese für weitere Referenz auf. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur bestimmungsmäßig und laut dieser Bedienungsanleitung. Nicht ordnungsgemäße Gerätenutzung kann zu seiner Störung führen, einen gesundheitlichen oder materiellen Schaden beim Nutzer hervorrufen.

•• Vor der Nutzung des Geräts prüfen Sie das Netzkabel und die Anschlußstelle des

Netzkabels, die sich am Gerätegehäuse befindet, aufmerksam und vergewissern Sie sich, dass sie nicht beschädigt sind. Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät zu benutzen, wenn das Netzkabel oder die Anschlussstelle des Netzkabels beschädigt sind.

•• Vor dem Einschalten des Geräts vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Netzspannung und die Gerätebetriebsspannung übereinstimmen.

•• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Kleiderkanten oder fremde Gegenstände zwischen den Deckel und das Gerätegehäuse nicht gelangen.

•• Lassen Sie das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt. Schalten Sie das Gerät immer aus und trennen Sie es vom Stromnetz ab, falls Sie es nicht benutzen.

•• Um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden, beugen Sie sich über dem Dampfablassloch nicht. Seien Sie sehr vorsichtig, wenn Sie den Deckel des Multikochers während und unmittelbar nach der Nahrungsmittelzubereitung öffnen. Dampfverbrühungsgefahr!

•• Beim Betrieb des Geräts im «Rösten»- Programm beugen Sie sich über dem Behälter des Multikochers nicht, um Verbrennung mit heißen Ölspritzern zu vermeiden.

•• Lassen Sie den Deckel des Geräts während des Betriebs nicht offen, ausgenommen des Betriebs im “Rösten”-Programm.

•• Berühren Sie die Deckeloberfläche während des Betriebs des Multikochers nicht, öffnen Sie den Deckel nur durch das Drücken der Taste der Deckelöffnung.

•• Um Verbrühung durch heißen Dampf zu vermeiden, seien Sie beim Öffnen des Deckels des Multikochers sehr vorsichtig.

•• Halten Sie die Dampfablasslöcher sauber, reinigen Sie sie im Falle einer Verschmutzung.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät ohne aufgestellten Behälter zu benutzen, sowie den Multikocher ohne Nahrungsmittel oder ohne reichende Flüssigkeitsmenge im Behälter für Nahrungsmittelzubereitung einzuschalten.

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, den Multikocher bei der beschädigten Silikondichtung an der inneren Seite des Deckels zu benutzen.

•• Befolgen Sie die Empfehlungen bezüglich der Menge der trockenen Nahrungsmittel und der Flüssigkeiten.

•• Nehmen Sie den Behälter während des Gerätebetriebs nicht heraus.

•• Decken Sie den Multikocher während des Betriebs nicht ab.

Achtung! Während des Dampfkochens beachten Sie den Stand der Flüssigkeit im Behälter, gießen Sie Wasser in den Behälter nach Bedarf zu. Lassen Sie das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt!

•• Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät während des Betriebs zu tragen. Benutzen Sie den Tragegriff, indem Sie das Gerät vorher vom Stromnetz abgetrennt, den Behälter mit

Nahrungsmitteln herausgenommen und den Multikocher abkühlen lassen haben.

•• Während des Betriebs des Multikochers erhitzen sich der Deckel, der Behälter für Nahrungsmittelzubereitung und die Gehäuseteile sehr stark, berühren Sie diese nicht. Falls Sie den heißen Behälter herausnehmen müssen, benutzen Sie Topfhandschuhe.

•• Reinigen Sie das Gerät regelmäßig.

•• Aus Kindersicherheitsgründen lassen Sie Plastiktüten, die als Verpackung verwendet werden, nie ohne Aufsicht.

BENUTZUNG DES BEHÄLTERS (21)

•• Benutzen Sie das Gerät und seine Teile nur bestimmungsmäßig. Es ist nicht gestattet, den Behälter für Nahrungsmittelzubereitung (21) auf Heizgeräte oder Heizoberflächen aufzustellen.

•• Ersetzen Sie den Behälter (21) mit keinem anderen Gefäß.

•• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Oberfläche des Heizelements und des Bodens des Behälters (21) sauber und trocken sind.

•• Benutzen Sie den Behälter (21) für Mischung von Nahrungsmitteln nicht. Um Beschädigungen der Antihaftbeschichtung zu vermeiden, zerkleinern Sie nie die Nahrungsmittel direkt im Behälter (21).

•• Benutzen Sie den Behälter (21) nicht, falls er deformiert ist, oder im Falle der Beschädigung der Antihaftbeschichtung.

•• Lassen und bewahren Sie keine fremden Gegenstände im Behälter (21).

•• Rühren Sie die Nahrungsmittel im Behälter (21) nur mit der Plastik-Schöpfkelle (23) oder mit der Schaufel (24).

•• Benutzen Sie keine Metallgegenstände, die die Antihaftbeschichtung des Behälters (21) beschädigen können.

•• Nachdem Sie den Behälter (21) ins Gehäuse des Multikochers aufgestellt haben, prüfen Sie die Richtigkeit der Aufstellung, indem Sie ihn in beliebige Seite drehen. Bevor Sie den Kochbetrieb gewählt haben, vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Behälter richtig aufgestellt ist, anderenfalls beginnen Sie die Zubereitung nicht.

•• Bei der Zubereitung der Gerichte mit Kräutern und Gewürzen, ist es empfohlen, den Behälter (21) sofort nach der Zubereitung abzuwaschen.

•• Nach der Beendigung der Nahrungsmittelzubereitung stellen Sie den Behälter (21) unter das

Kaltwasser sofort nicht, da es zur Beschädigung der Antihaftbeschichtung führen kann, lassen Sie ihn zuerst abkühlen.

•• Der Behälter (21) ist fürs Waschen in der

Geschirrspülmaschine nicht geeignet.

VOR DER ERSTEN NUTZUNG

Falls das Gerät bei niedrigen Temperaturen transportiert oder aufbewahrt wurde, lassen Sie es bei der Raumlufttemperatur nicht weniger als drei Stunden bleiben.

– Nehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Verpackung heraus und entfernen Sie alle Verpackungsmaterialien und jegliche Aufkleber, die den normalen Betrieb des Multikochers stören.

–Stellen Sie den Multikocher auf einer ebenen wärmebeständigen Oberfläche fern von allen Küchenwärmequellen (wie Gas-, Elektroherd oder Kochfläche) auf.

–Bei der Aufstellung des Multikochers lassen Sie einen Abstand von nicht weniger als 20 cm von der Wand bis zum Gerätegehäuse und einen Freiraum von nicht weniger als 30-40 cm darüber.

–Stellen Sie den Multikocher in direkter Nähe von Gegenständen, die durch hohe Temperatur des austretenden Dampfs beschädigt werden können, nicht auf.

Achtung! Es ist nicht gestattet, das Gerät in der Nähe von Badewannen, Waschbecken und anderen mit Wasser gefüllten Behältern aufzustellen.

–Öffnen Sie den Deckel (4), indem Sie die Taste (5) drücken und den Griff (6) ziehen.

–Waschen Sie alle abnehmbaren Teile - den Behälter (21), die Schale fürs Dampfkochen (22), die Schöpfkelle (23), die Schaufel (24) und den Messbecher (25) mit weichem Schwamm und einem neutralen Waschmittel ab, spülen Sie diese mit Leitungswasser und trocknen Sie diese ab.

–Wischen Sie das Gerätegehäuse mit einem feuchten Tuch, danach trocknen Sie es aus.

VERWENDUNG DES MULTIKOCHERS

ACHTUNG!

•• Lassen Sie das funktionierende Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt.

•• Bei erster Nutzung des Multikochers kann ein Fremdgeruch vom Heizelement entstehen, es ist normal.
