Safety Instructions

Before you use this device for the first time, please read the following notes in this manual and heed all warnings, even if you are familiar with handling electronic devices. Keep this manual safe for future reference. If you sell the device or pass it on, it is essential you hand over this manual also.

Never use any optical devices such as a lens to look directly into the light beam.

Electrical devices do not belong in the hands of children. Do not allow children to use electrical devices when not under supervision. Children may not comprehend the presence of potential risks. Keep the packaging away from children too as there is danger of suffocation.

If you notice any smoke, unusual noise or strange smells, switch off the device immediately and pull the plug from the wall outlet. Do not breath in any smoke originating from a device fire. In these cases the device should not be used further and should be inspected by authorized service personnel.

The lamp housing and the power cord must not be damaged in any way. Stop using the lamp immediately if you find any cables damaged.

Never open the device housing.

Cables

Unplug the cable by holding the plug and never pull on the cable itself. Never place the device, pieces of furniture or other heavy objects on the cable and take care that this does not become trapped. Never make knots in the cable and do not tie it together with other cables. All cables should be positioned so that nobody can trip over them or be obstructed by them. Never use adapter plugs or extension cables that do not comply with the current safety regulations in your country, and do not modify any of the cables yourself.

Intended Use

The Daylight Lamp LTL 27 A1 can be used as a desk lamp with a natural light spectrum. The flexible gooseneck allows you to adjust the light to suit your needs. Always make sure the lamp is always on a stable surface.

This lamp is not destined for commercial use. The device fulfils all that relates to CE Conformity, relevant norms and standards. Any modifications to the device other than recommended changes by the manufacturer may result in these directives no longer being met.

Getting Started

Unpacking

 Unpack the device and remove the transport protection from the

lampshade (2).

Powering the Device On/Off

 Plug the power plug into a suitable power socket. No extension cables or

multiple outlet strips should be used that do not meet safety requirements.

 Press the On/Off switch (1) to position "I" to power the light on.  Press the On/Off switch to position "0" to power the light off.

Notice on Mains Separation.

The device is only fully separated from the mains when the mains plug is pulled out of the wall outlet. Switching off the device with the incorporated switch does not disconnect the appliance from the mains.

Flexible Gooseneck

 The flexible gooseneck (3)allows you to easily adjust the direction of the

lamp to suit your needs. When doing this always make sure the lamp is on a stable surface.

 Do not turn the gooseneck more than 45º to the left or right.  Do not bend the gooseneck towards the back, but instead turn the whole

light housing round if you want the light to shine backwards.

Appendix

Replacing the Bulb

 Remove the U-bolt in the lampshade (2) whilst gently pushing the bolt end

backwards.

 Carefully pull the bulb directly out of the socket.  Insert a new bulb of the same type.  Make sure that the U-bolt is correctly aligned over the pipes of the new

bulb.

Cleaning

To clean the light use a dry cloth. Never use any solvents or cleaners that may damage the plastic housing. Make sure that no liquid gets into the housing. When very dirty, use a slightly dampened cloth.

Disposal of Old Devices

If the product is labelled with a struck-out waste bin, it is subject to the European Guideline 2002/96/EC. All electric and electronic devices must be disposed of separately from household waste at established bodies. For environmental protection reasons, bulbs must be properly disposed of.

Do not dispose of this device in with domestic trash. You can find out more information on collection points or collection dates from your municipal administration or local waste disposal company.

Recycle the packaging material properly also. Cardboard packaging can be taken to paper recycling containers or public collection points for recycling. Any films or plastic contained in the packaging should be taken to your public collection points.

Instrukcja bezpieczeństwa

Przed pierwszym włączeniem urządzenia należy przeczytać odpowiednie instrukcje zawarte w niniejszym podręczniku i zastosować się do ostrzeżeń. Dotyczy to również osób, które mają duże doświadczenie w korzystaniu z urządzeń elektronicznych. Niniejszą instrukcję należy zachować do przyszłego wykorzystania. W razie sprzedaży lub odstąpienia urządzenia należy również przekazać niniejszą instrukcję.

Nie wolno używać żadnych elementów optycznych, takich jak soczewki, w celu bezpośredniego patrzenia w wiązkę światła.

Aby odłączyć przewód zasilania, należy chwycić za wtyczkę i w żadnym wypadku nie ciągnąć za sam przewód.
