1.Introduction

2.Safety Instructions

Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.

Risk of electroshock when opening the cover. Touching live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks. Have the

device repaired by qualified personnel.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.

3.General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

•Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.

•Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.

•Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping liquids.

•Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.

•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.

•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

•Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual

is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

4.Installation

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

The installation must be carried out by a qualified person.

1.Choose a proper location for the sensor. Avoid places where temperature changes frequently, e.g. near air conditioners or heating devices. Also avoid moving obstructions or objects in the detection field of the sensor to prevent unnecessary activation.

2.The PIR sensor must be installed inside a hole which is max. 12 mm in diameter. The controller can be installed on the other

side of the wall, inside a dropped ceiling or, behind a false wall. Leave sufficient space (at least 2 cm) around the controller for

ventilation.

Notes:

•The lead wires of the sensor are ± 20 cm long. When mounting

the controller on the other side of a wall, drill a hole of at least 12 mm for the connector and wires to go through.

•Make sure the controller is accessible at all times when installing inside a dropped ceiling or behind a false wall. However, it should

be sufficiently protected to avoid accidental touching!

3.A 12 Vdc/2.6 A power supply (not incl.) must be provided.

4.Connect the sensor to the controller [2]. The connector fits only one way, do not force.

5.Set the DIP switches [3]:

6.Connect the wiring [1] to the terminals according to the diagram on page 2. Wire colours:

red (+)

black (-)

brown

Warning: do not short-circuit any terminals.

7.Connect the power supply.

8.To test the PIR sensor, set the light sensitivity to OFF and the movement sensitivity and 5” to ON. The load should switch on immediately and – when no movement is detected – switch off

after 5 s.

Note: DO NOT change the DIP switch settings when power is connected!

1.Inleiding

Aan alle ingezetenen van de Europese Unie Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel

schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en

eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf

terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of

naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten

betreffende de verwijdering.

2.Veiligheidsinstructies

Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.

Elektrocutiegevaar bij het openen van het toestel. Raak geen kabels aan die onder stroom staan om dodelijke

elektroschokken te vermijden. Laat het onderhoud van het toestel over aan een geschoolde vakman.

De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen. Voor onderhoud en/of reserveonderdelen, contacteer uw dealer.

3.Algemene richtlijnen

Raadpleeg de Velleman® serviceen kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.

•Bescherm tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.

•Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende vloeistoffen.

•Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.

•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan het toestel. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.

•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie.

•De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

4.Installatie

Raadpleeg de afbeeldingen op pagina 2 van deze handleiding.

Laat de detector installeren door een technicus.

1.Kies een geschikte montageplaats. Vermijd ruimtes met grote

temperatuurschommelingen (bv. naast een koelof warmtebron) of waar zich bewegende voorwerpen bevinden.

2.Voorzie een uitsparing met een diameter van 12 mm. U kunt de

controller installeren achteraan een wand of vals plafond. Voorzie een ruimte van minstens 2 cm rond de controller voor voldoende

ventilatie.

Opmerkingen:

•De sensorkabels zijn ± 20 cm lang. Bij montage van de controller

achter een wand, boor een gat van minstens 12 mm voor de stekker en de kabels.

•Zorg dat de controller bij montage achter een wand of vals

plafond altijd bereikbaar is maar voldoende beschermd is zodat niemand hem kan aanraken!

3.Voorzie een 12 Vdc/2,6 A voeding (niet meegelev.).

4.Sluit de sensor voorzichtig aan op de controller [2].

5.Stel de DIP-schakelaars [3] in:

Opmerking: enkel de langst geselecteerde activeringsduur is van toepassing.

6.Bekabel de terminals [1] zoals aangegeven in het diagram op pagina 2. Kabelkleur:

Waarschuwing: u mag de terminals nooit kortsluiten.

7.Sluit de voeding aan.

8.Test de sensor door de lichtgevoeligheid op OFF en de bewegingsgevoeligheid en 5” op ON te plaatsen. De sensor zou

onmiddellijk moeten inschakelen en uitschakelen na 5 seconden indien er geen beweging waargenomen wordt.

Opmerking: Wijzig de DIP-schakelaars nooit na inschakeling van de stroom!

mortels. Confier la réparation de l'appareil à du personnel qualifié.

L'appareil ne contient aucune pièce réparable par l'utilisateur.

Commander des pièces de rechange éventuelles chez votre revendeur.

3.Directives générales

Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de notice.

•Protéger contre la poussière et les températures extrêmes.

•Protéger l’appareil des chocs. Traiter l'appareil avec circonspection pendant l’opération.

•Utiliser cet appareil uniquement à l'intérieur. Protéger de la pluie, de l’humidité et des projections d’eau.

Confier l’installation du détecteur à un technicien.

1.Choisir un emplacement de montage en évitant les endroits sujets à des fluctuations de température (p.ex. à proximité d’un

climatiseur) et la présence d’objets mobiles dans le champ de détection.
