1.Introduction

Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

2.Safety Instructions
Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
Never leave the magnifying lens unattended where direct sunlight may pass through it: this creates a fire hazard. Please close the lens cover after each use.
Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and dripping liquids.
Do not use the luminaire with a cracked or broken protective shield. Disconnect immediately from the mains. The protective shield is not replaceable.
Always disconnect mains power when the device is not in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
3.General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Keep this device away from dust and extreme heat.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

5.Replacing the lamp
Unplug the device and let the circular fluorescent lamp cool down before replacing it. The lamp is located behind a plastic diffuser.
1.Gently bend the stem so that the diffuser points upwards.
2.Remove the 5 screws holding the plastic diffuser in place. Remove the diffuser carefully and make sure not to drop the lamp.

3.Hold the lamp at the plastic ring and disconnect the lamp from the connector. Pull on the connector, not the cables. Take out the defective lamp.
4.Install a new lamp (order code LAMP5W) and insert the connector.
5.Put the diffuser back and fasten the screws.
6.Maintenance
Unplug the device from the mains and let the lamp cool down before maintenance.
Wipe the device with a moist soft cloth. Do not use abrasive solutions or solvents.

GEBRUIKERSHANDLEIDING
1.Inleiding
Aan alle ingezetenen van de Europese Unie Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffende de verwijdering.
Dank u voor uw aankoop! Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Werd het toestel beschadigd tijdens het transport, installeer het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer.
2.Veiligheidsinstructies

Laat de vergrootlens niet onbeheerd achter waar er direct zonlicht aan kan: dit creëert brandgevaar. Sluit de klep na elk gebruik.
Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende vloeistoffen.
Gebruik de lamp niet indien de beschermplaat gebarsten of gebroken is. Ontkoppel het toestel onmiddellijk. De beschermplaat is niet vervangbaar.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact (trek niet aan de kabel!) voordat u het toestel reinigt en als u het niet gebruikt.
Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in dit toestel. Voor onderhoud of reserveonderdelen, contacteer uw dealer.
3.Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® serviceen kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
Bescherm tegen stof en extreme hitte.
Bescherm tegen schokken en vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie. De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

5.De lamp vervangen
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat de lamp afkoelen voor u ze gaat vervangen. De lamp zit achter een plastic diffuser.
1.Buig de steel voorzichtig naar achteren zodat de diffuser bovenaan komt te staan.
2.Draai de 5 schroeven van de plastic diffuser los. Verwijder voorzichtig de diffuser en let er op dat de lamp niet uit de kamphouder valt.

3.Houd de lamp aan de plastic ring vast en trek de stekker los. Trek enkel aan de stekker, nooit aan de kabels. Verwijder de lamp.
4.Installeer een nieuwe lamp (ordercode LAMP5W) en steek de stekker in de lamp.
5.Plaats de diffuser terug en draai de schroeven vast.
6.Onderhoud
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat de lamp afkoelen.
Maak de lamp regelmatig schoon met een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen schuurmiddelen of solventen.

2.Consignes de sécurité
Garder hors de la portée des enfants et des personnes non autorisées.
Ne jamais abandonner la loupe où elle peut être exposée directement au soleil : ceci crée un risque d'incendie. Refermer le volet après chaque usage.
Utiliser cet appareil uniquement à l'intérieur. Protéger de la pluie, de l’humidité et des projections d’eau.
Ne pas utiliser la lampe si la plaque de protection est fissurée ou cassée. Déconnecter immédiatement l'appareil du réseau électrique. La plaque de protection n'est pas remplaçable.
Débrancher l’appareil s’il n’est pas utilisé ou pour le nettoyer. Tirer la fiche pour débrancher l'appareil ; non pas le câble.
Il n’y a aucune pièce maintenable par l’utilisateur. Commander des pièces de rechange
éventuelles chez votre revendeur.
3.Directives générales
Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de notice.
Protéger contre la poussière. Protéger contre la chaleur extrême.
Protéger contre les chocs et le traiter avec circonspection pendant l’opération.

5.Remplacement de la lampe
Débrancher l'appareil et laisser refroidir la lampe avant de la remplacer.
La lampe se trouve derrière un diffuseur en plastique.
