Thank you for buying the PS920 / PS925! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
Your device has following applications: Connection and use of low-tension devices with an operating voltage between 3 and 15VDC connected to the connection terminals. The current consumption of your installation should not exceed 20A (PS920) or 25A (PS925) (30A during less than 5 minutes). Exceeding this value will cause the power supply to overload.
2. Safety Instructions
Be very careful during operation: you are handling an electric current!
Keep this device away from rain and moisture.
Unplug the mains lead before opening the housing.
∙Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
∙A qualified technician should install and service this device.
∙Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.
∙This device falls under protection class I. It is therefore essential that the device be earthed. Have a qualified person carry out the electric connection.
∙Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
∙Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an authorised dealer replace it if necessary.
∙Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
∙Do not wear conductive jewels such as rings, necklaces etc. when operating the device.
∙Do not leave a switched-on device unattended.
∙Use appropriate tools when working with high voltage.
∙Do not use a malfunctioning, damaged or mistreated device.
∙Remember that the condensers inside the device are still live, even when the device is disconnected from all power sources.
∙Do not handle free metal conducts or contacts but cover them up with an appropriate and inflammable insulation.
∙Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
∙Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.

4.Connection
Insert the power plug into the mains and switch on the device. During normal operation, i.e. without overload or shortcircuit, only the power control LED (5) will light. The overload control LED (6) will not burn. During operation without load, the voltmeter will indicate a voltage value, depending on the output voltage setting (7).
The screw terminals (+ en -) are destined to be used with high output currents up to max. 20A (PS920) or 25A (PS925) (30A for less than 5 minutes). The connection terminals must be used with a current less than 3A. Make sure the connection wire gauge can handle the current.
ATTENTION: A long-term operation with a nominal load (12V / 20A (PS920) or 12V / 25A (PS925)) or short-circuit and overload (max. 30A) can cause the device to heat up. Make sure to use your PS920 / PS925 in a well-ventilated room. Never cover the air intake and the vent holes on top of the device.
When making the connection, make sure the device is switched off. A switched-on device can, when connecting the terminals, cause sparks. These sparks can harm the connection terminals, screw terminals and wires.
5. Gebruik
With your PS920 / PS925 the output voltage between 3VDC and 15VDC can be adjusted continuously with a maximum current of 20A (PS920) or 25A (PS925). This device can be ideally used professionally, recreationally and in school. A built-in thermally controlled fan will protect the device against thermal overloads. An electronic circuit protects the power supply against overloads and short-circuits.

The set tension value can be read from an analogue meter. The tension can be adjusted continuously by means of the upper right control knob. The power supply will stabilize the tension with a current limiter.
When switching on a connected device, it will receive an excessive switch-on current (cold resistance of a light bulb or starting current of an electric motor) while the output tension decreases. This way, the connected device and your PS920 / PS925 will be protected against surcharges. In addition, the capacity of the device depends of the output tension. In other words, a nominal current of 20A (PS920) or 25A (PS925) will only be available from a 10VDC tension. Refer to the power load curve below.

6. Fuse
∙ Only fit or replace a fuse when the device is unplugged from the mains.
∙ Replace a blown fuse with a fuse of the same type and rating (see “Technical Specifications”): 1. Remove the fuse-holder at the back of the device with an appropriate screwdriver.
2. Remove the old fuse and install a new one. 3. Replace the fuse holder.

Dank u voor uw aankoop! Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Werd het toestel beschadigd tijdens het transport, installeer het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer.
De netvoeding heeft volgende toepassingsmogelijkheden: Aansluiting en werking van laagspanningsinstallaties met een werkspanning tussen 3 en 15VDC aan de daarvoor bestemde en gekenmerkte aansluitbussen en –klemmen. Het stroomverbruik van de installatie mag 20A (PS920) of 25A (PS925) (30A gedurende minder dan 5 minuten) niet overschrijden. Een overschrijding van deze stroom leidt tot overbelasting van de netvoeding.
2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Wees voorzichtig bij het gebruik: u werkt met een elektrische stroom!
Bescherm dit toestel tegen regen en vochtigheid.
Verzeker u ervan dat het toestel niet aangesloten is op een stroombron alvorens het te openen.
∙De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
∙Laat dit toestel installeren en onderhouden door een geschoolde technicus.
∙Om beschadiging te vermijden, zet u het toestel best niet aan onmiddellijk nadat het werd blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Wacht tot het toestel op kamertemperatuur gekomen is.
∙Dit toestel valt onder beschermingsklasse I, wat wil zeggen dat het toestel geaard moet zijn.
∙De beschikbare netspanning mag niet hoger zijn dan de spanning in de specificaties achteraan de handleiding.
∙De voedingskabel mag niet omgeplooid of beschadigd zijn. Laat uw dealer zo nodig een nieuwe kabel plaatsen.
∙Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact (trek nooit aan de kabel!) voordat u het toestel reinigt en als u het niet gebruikt.
∙Draag tijdens het bedienen van voedingen nooit geleidende sierraden zoals ringen, kettingen enz.
∙Laat een ingeschakelde voeding nooit onbeheerd achter.
∙Voor werkzaamheden onder spanning mag alleen daarvoor uitdrukkelijk toegelaten gereedschap gebruikt worden.
∙Gebruik geen defect, beschadigd of mishandeld toestel.
∙Onthoud dat condensatoren in het apparaat nog geladen kunnen zijn, zelfs wanneer het toestel van alle spanningsbronnen gescheiden is.
∙Verplaats geen losliggende metalen leidingen en contacten maar dek ze af met geschikte, moeilijk ontvlambare isolering ter beveiliging.
∙Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel vallen niet onder de garantie.
∙Houd dit toestel uit de buurt van kinderen en onbevoegden.
