Thank you for buying the SOL5N! This solar cell trickle charger helps to avoid battery drain for 12V batteries (e.g. car batteries). When batteries go flat, they may be seriously damaged and may never regain their full power. Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

IMPORTANT: in some vehicles, the cigarette lighter may not be connected when the ignition is turned off. In such cases, connect the SOL5N directly to the car battery by means of the battery clips. Connect the black lead to the negative (-) pole and the red lead to the positive (+) pole.

3. Operation
•Attach the suction caps to the charger and attach the charger to the inside or outside of the car windshield.
•Alternatively, you can mount the charger to a wall using the keyhole slots at the rear of the charger.
•Connect the cable to either the cigarette lighter or directly to the battery.
•As long as there is sufficient sunlight, the charger will produce a small electrical current to trickle charge your battery. The red LED (#4 in above figure) will flash when the panel is trickle charging the battery.
•The charger will not overcharge or damage the battery. Similarly, a blocking diode ensures that the charger cannot flatten your battery.
•Please note that the SOL5N is designed to trickle charge batteries to compensate for the natural drainage. It is not intended to recharge a completely discharged battery.
•Disconnect the charger before starting the car or driving it. The electrical surges from the car engine may damage the charger.
•Some vehicles have tinted windows that seriously affect the performance of the solar charger if it is positioned behind them. For optimum results, place the SOL5N outside the vehicle in direct sunlight.

Dank u voor uw aankoop! Deze SOL5N druppellader op zonne-energie helpt het ontladen van 12V-batterijen (zoals autobatterijen) te voorkomen. Als batterijen volledig ontladen, kunnen ze ernstig beschadigd worden en kunt u nooit meer hun volledige capaciteit benutten. Lees deze handleiding grondig voor u het toestel in gebruik neemt. Als het toestel werd beschadigd tijdens het transport, gebruik het dan niet en raadpleeg uw dealer.

BELANGRIJK: in sommige wagens is de sigarenaansteker niet aangesloten wanneer het contact van de wagen uit staat. Sluit in zulke gevallen de SOL5N direct aan op de batterij door middel van de batterijklemmen. Sluit de zwarte kabel aan op de negatieve (-) pool en de rode kabel op de positieve (+) pool.

3. Bediening
•Bevestig de zuignappen aan de lader en bevestig deze aan de binnenof de buitenkant van de voorruit.
•Desgewenst kunt u de lader ook aan een muur bevestigen door middel van de gaten achteraan de lader
•Sluit de lader aan op de sigarenaansteker of onmiddellijk op de batterij.
•Zolang er voldoende zonlicht is, zal de lader een kleine elektrische stroom ontwikkelen om de batterij te druppelladen. De rode LED (#4 in de figuur hierboven) zal knipperen terwijl de lader de batterij bijlaadt.
•De lader zal de batterij niet overladen of beschadigen. Tevens zorgt een blokkeerdiode ervoor dat de lader uw batterij niet leeg kan trekken.
•Merk op dat de SOL5N enkel is ontworpen om batterijen te druppelladen om op die manier het natuurlijke energieverlies tegen te gaan. Hij is niet gemaakt om een volledig ontladen batterij te herladen.
•Koppel de lader los voor u de wagen gaat gebruiken. De stroomstoten van de motor kunnen de lader beschadigen.
•Sommige wagens hebben getinte ruiten die de prestaties van de lader beperken wanneer deze zich achter de getinte ruiten bevindt. In die gevallen plaatst u de SOL5N best aan de buitenzijde, in direct zonlicht.

IMPORTANT: dans certains véhicules, il est possible que l'allume-cigare n'est pas connecté quand le contact est éteint. Dans ce cas, connectez le SOL5N directement à l'accu de voiture au moyen des pinces accu. Connectez le fil noir au pôle négatif (-) et le fil rouge au pôle positif (+).
