Installing Printer Drivers and Utilities
Windows XP/2000/Me/98
Note: If the Found New Hardware wizard displays while youÓre connecting the printer to your PC, close it. Do not use this wizard or the Windows Add Printer wizard to install the printer driver. You must use the CD-ROM Installer in order to install all necessary printer drivers and utilities.
1Insert the magicolor 2300W Utilities & Documentation CD-ROM in your PCÓs CD-ROM drive.
The CD-ROM automatically starts. If it doesnÓt, use Windows Explorer to browse to the CD-ROM and double-click setup.exe to open the CD-ROM Installer.
2Follow the instructions on the screen to install the magicolor 2300W printer driver and utilities.
3 Remove the CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive and store it in a safe place.
Windows 95
1Insert the magicolor 2300W Utilities & Documentation CD-ROM in your PCÓs CD-ROM drive.
The CD-ROM automatically starts.
2 Close the CD-ROM Installer.
3Use Windows Explorer to browse to the \drivers\language\Win9x directory on the CD-ROM (where language is the language of the printer driver you want to install).
For example, to install the English printer driver, browse to the \drivers\english_us\Win9x directory on the CD-ROM.
4 Double-click setup.exe to open the printer driver installation program.
5Follow the instructions on the screen to install the magicolor 2300W printer driver.
6 Remove the CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive and store it in a safe place.
