Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

►If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance ideally for its return.

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

►Arrange for damaged power cables and/or plugs to be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified specialist or by Customer Services.

►Use the appliance only in dry indoor areas, not outdoors.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! If you do, then you could receive a potentially fatal electric shock.

►NEVER insert cutlery items or other metallic objects into the toaster slots.

►Ensure that the appliance can never come into contact with water. NEVER use the appliance adjacent to water or close to vessels containing liquids.

►Ensure that the power cable never gets wet or moist when the appliance is in use. Lay the cable such that it cannot be clamped or otherwise damaged.

►After use, always remove the plug from the mains power socket, this prevents the unintentional switching on of the appliance.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

►The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

►Children should not play with the appliance.

►Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised. Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away from the appliance and the power cable.

►The appliance can become hot when it is in use. Therefore, only touch the operating elements.

►Use the appliance only on a stable, non-slippery and level surface.

►Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.

►Unwind the power cable completely from the cable winder before using the appliance.

WARNING!

►Risk of burning if you do not use standard toast bread! Because of the smaller size or shape, there is a risk of touching hot parts when removing the toasted bread.

CAUTION - RISK OF FIRE!

►Bakery products can burn! You should therefore NEVER locate the appliance close to or underneath inflammable objects, especially not under curtains or suspended cupboards.

►This appliance may not be used in close vicinity to flammable material.

►NEVER cover the toaster when it is in use.

Tips for use

■Avoid using slices that are too big or too thick, as these can easily become jammed in the appliance. Should slices of bread become jammed, first disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. Release jammed slices of bread with a blunt wooden object (e.g. a wooden spatula or spoon). Thereby, do NOT touch the heater elements.

■Di erences in bread sorts, moisture content and the thickness of individual slices influence the browning of the toast. Therefore the bread for toasting should be kept in sealed packaging until required. Always initially try out a lower level of browning.

■Use a lower level of browning if you are toasting dry bread, as dry bread browns faster than fresh bread.

■Select a higher level of browning for dark bread than for light bread, for example, wheat bread.

■The numbers on the toasting dial 1 are not time indications. They serve only as a guide for the browning.

■To avoid an overheating of the toaster and to obtain an even browning of bread, wait for about 15 seconds between two toasting processes.

■You should only use the highest level on the toasting dial 1 for large slices of dark bread. With this browning level light bread will scorch and become

inedible. In addition, it may cause the generation of smoke. If this occurs, press the button “Stop” 3 immediately and disconnect the power cable from the mains power socket.

Setting up

CAUTION – RISK OF FIRE

►You should therefore NEVER locate the appliance close to or underneath inflammable objects, especially not under curtains or suspended cupboards.

■Unwind the cable completely from around the cable winder 8 and lead it through the cable clamp 2.

■Place the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.

■Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

NOTICE

►When the toaster is not in use, always remove the plug from the mains power socket. This is the only way to ensure that the appliance is current-free.

Before taking into use

■Operate the toaster without bread for 3 times at the maximum browning level “7“.

■Afterwards, clean the toaster as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

NOTICE

►The operating slide 7 only engages when the cable is connected to a mains power socket.

►With the first usage a slight smell can arise (minimal smoke development is also possible). This is normal and dissipates after a short time. Provide for su cient ventilation. For example, open a window.

Operation

Adjusting the browning level

The desired level of browning, from “light” (1) to “dark” (7), can be adjusted infinitely with the toasting dial 1.

CAUTION - RISK OF FIRE!

►When the appliance is in operation, do NOT cover the toasting slots 6. There will be a risk of fire! The appliance could be irreparably damaged!

NOTICE

►If you only want to put one piece of toast into the toaster, turn the toasting dial 1 down by approx. 1 level to achieve the same level of browning as with 2 pieces of toast.

1)After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster slots 6.

2)Press the operating slide 7 downwards. The automatic bread centring device centres the inserted bread in the toaster slots 6. During the toasting process the control lamp integrated in the “Stop” button 3 glows.

3)When the desired level of browning has been reached the toaster switches itself o automatically, the slices are ejected to the top and the control lamp goes out.

Interrupting the toasting process

If you wish to interrupt the toasting procedure, press the button “Stop” 3. The toaster switches itself o and the bread slices are ejected upwards.

Warming function

The warming function enables you to warm bread without browning it. As an example, for toast that has gone cold. The bread is only briefly warmed.

1)Insert the bread and press the operating slide 7 downwards.

2)Press the “Warm up” button 4. The integrated control lamp lights up.

3)When the bread has been reheated, the appliance switches itself o automatically and the slices are ejected upwards.

Defrost function

By pressing the button “Defrosting” 5, also frozen bread can be thawed and toasted. With this, the toaster slowly warms the bread. Activating the defrost function will allow the frozen bread to achieve the same browning level as when you toast fresh bread.

1)After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster slots 6.

2)Press the operating slide 7 downwards.

3)Press the button “Defrosting” 5. The integrated control lamp glows.

4)When the defrosting and toasting process is finished, the toaster switches itself o automatically, the control lamp integrated in the button “Defrosting” 5 goes out and the bread slices are ejected to the top.

Crumb tray

When toasting, crumbs that fall from the bread are collected in the crumb tray 9.

1)To empty crumbs from the crumb tray 9, simply pull it out.

2)Tip out the crumbs.

3)Slide the crumb tray 9 back into the toaster so that it palpably engages.

Cleaning

►Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before cleaning the appliance.

► Allow the toaster to cool before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!

CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

►Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These can damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.

■Clean the appliance housing only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.

■To avoid the risk of fire, empty the crumb tray 9 at regular intervals.

■Clean the toaster as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Turvallisuusohjeet

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

►Anna valtuutetun ammattihenkilöstön vaihtaa vaurioitunut verkkojohto tai verkkopistoke välittömästi uuteen vaarojen välttämiseksi.

►Käytä laitetta vain kuivissa tiloissa, ei ulkona.

Älä koskaan upota laitetta veteen tai muihin nesteisiin! Muutoin on olemassa sähköiskun aiheuttama hengenvaara.

►Älä koskaan työnnä ruokailuvälineitä tai muita metallisia esineitä paahtoaukkoihin.

►Varmista, ettei laite pääse koskaan kosketuksiin veden kanssa. Älä koskaan käytä laitetta veden lähettyvillä tai nestettä sisältävien astioiden vieressä.

►Pidä huolta siitä, ettei virtajohto kastu tai altistu kosteudelle käytössä. Vedä virtajohto siten, ettei se jää kiinni, puristu tai vaurioidu muulla tavalla.

►Vedä verkkopistoke käytön jälkeen aina pistorasiasta tahattoman päälle käynnistymisen estämiseksi.

VAROITUS! LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

►Tätä laitetta saavat käyttää yli 8-vuotiaat lapset sekä henkilöt, joiden fyysiset, aistilliset tai henkiset kyvyt ovat rajalliset tai joiden

kokemus ja/tai tiedot ovat puutteelliset, jos heitä valvotaan tai	FI
heitä on opastettu laitteen turvalliseen käyttöön, ja he ovat
ymmärtäneet siitä aiheutuvat vaarat.

►Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella.

►Lapset eivät saa suorittaa puhdistusta eivätkä käyttäjähuoltoa, paitsi jos he ovat täyttäneet 8 vuotta, ja heitä valvotaan.

Alle 8-vuotiaat lapset on pidettävä poissa laitteen ja liitäntäjohdon lähettyviltä.

►Laitteen osat voivat kuumentua käytössä. Koske siksi ainoastaan käyttöelementteihin.

►Sijoita laite tukevalle, liukumattomalle ja tasaiselle alustalle.

►Älä käytä laitteen kanssa ulkoista ajastinta tai erillistä kauko-ohja- usjärjestelmää.

►Vapauta virtajohto kokonaan johtokelalta, ennen kuin käytät laitetta.

VAROITUS!

►Palovammavaara! Ole varovainen paahtaessasi muuta kuin tavallista paahtoleipää. Jos paahdat kooltaan tavallista paahtoleipää pienempiä tai muodoltaan erilaisia leipäviipaleita, varo koskemasta paahtimen kuumia osia ottaessasi leipää ulos paahtimesta.

HUOMIO - PALOVAARA!

►Paahdettava leipä voi syttyä! Älä siksi koskaan aseta laitetta palavien esineiden lähelle tai alle, erityisesti verhojen tai yläkaappien alapuolelle.

►Laitetta ei saa käyttää palavien materiaalien lähellä.

►Älä koskaan peitä leivänpaahdinta, kun se on käytössä.

Käyttövinkkejä

■Älä paahda liian suuria tai paksuja viipaleita, sillä ne jäävät helposti jumiin. Jos leipäviipaleet jäävät kiinni paahtimen sisään, irrota ensin verkkopistoke pistorasiasta. Irrota kiinni jäänyt leipäviipale tylpällä puutikulla (esim. pullasudin

FI	varrella). Vältä koskettamasta leivänpaahtimen vastuksia.

■Leivän laatu ja kosteus sekä yksittäisten viipaleiden paksuus vaikuttavat paahtoleivän ruskistumiseen. Siksi paahtoleipä tulisi aina säilyttää suljetussa pakkauksessa mahdollisuuksien mukaan. Kokeile paahtamista aina ensin pienemmillä ruskistusasteilla.

■Käytä pienempää ruskistusastetta, kun paahdat kuivaa leipää, sillä kuiva leipä paahtuu nopeammin kuin tuore leipä.

■Valitse tumman leivän paahtamiseen suurempi ruskistusaste kuin vaalean leivän, esimerkiksi ranskanleivän, paahtamiseen.

■Ruskistussäätimen 1 numerot eivät anna viitteitä paahtoajasta. Ne kertovat vain ruskistusasteesta.

■Jotta leivänpaahdin ei kuumenisi liikaa, ja leipä ruskistuisi tasaisesti, odota paahtokertojen välillä n. 15 sekuntia.

■Ruskistussäätimen 1 maksimaalista asetusta tulisi käyttää vain suurten tummien leipäviipaleiden paahtamiseen. Vaalea leipä palaa tällä ruskistusasteella

syömäkelvottomaksi. Tällöin voi myös syntyä käryä. Paina tällöin välittömästi Stop-painiketta 3 ja vedä pistoke pistorasiasta.

Sijoittaminen

HUOMIO - PALOVAARA!

►Älä koskaan sijoita laitetta palavien esineiden läheisyyteen, kuten verhojen lähelle tai yläkaappien alle.

■Vapauta virtajohto kokonaan johtokelalta 8 ja vie se johtopidikkeen 2 läpi.

■Aseta laite tasaiselle ja kuumuutta kestävälle alustalle.

■Työnnä verkkopistoke verkkopistorasiaan.

OHJE

►Kun poistat leivänpaahtimen käytöstä, vedä verkkopistoke pistorasiasta. Vain tällöin laitteessa ei ole virtaa.

Ennen ensimmäistä käyttöönottoa

■Kytke leivänpaahdin päälle viisi 3 kertaa ilman paahtoleipää ja säädä maksimaalinen ruskistusasetus ”7”.

■ Puhdista leivänpaahdin kappaleessa ”Puhdistus” kuvatulla tavalla.	FI

►Käyttöpainike 7 lukittuu päälle vain, kun virtajohto on liitetty virtalähteeseen.

►Ensimmäisellä käyttökerralla saattaa syntyä hieman hajua (lisäksi voi kehittyä hieman savua). Tämä on normaalia ja häviää lyhyen ajan päästä. Pidä huoli riittävästä tuuletuksesta. Avaa esimerkiksi ikkuna.

Käyttö

Ruskistusasteen säätäminen

Ruskistusastetta voidaan säätää portaattomasti ”vaaleasta” (1) ”tummaan” (7) ruskistussäätimellä 1.

Paahtaminen

HUOMIO - PALOVAARA!

►Älä peitä paahtimen paahtoaukkoja 6 käytön aikana. On olemassa tulipalon vaara! Laite voi vaurioitua lopullisesti!

OHJE

►Jos paahdat leivänpaahtimessa vain yhden leipäviipaleen, käännä ruskistussäädintä 1 n. 1 taso pienemmälle, jotta leipä ruskistuisi saman verran kuin paahtaessasi kahta leipäviipaletta samanaikaisesti.

1)Kun olet valinnut haluamasi ruskistusasteen, laita leipä ruskistusaukkoon 6.

2)Paina käyttöpainike 7 alas. Automaattinen leivänkeskitys keskittää ruskistusaukkoon 6 laitetun leipäviipaleen. Ruskistuksen aikana stop-painikkees- sa 3 oleva merkkivalo palaa.

3)Kun haluttu ruskistusaste on saavutettu, leivänpaahdin kytkeytyy automaattisesti päältä, leipäviipaleet ponnahtavat ylös ja merkkivalo sammuu.

Paahtamisen keskeyttäminen

Jos haluat keskeyttää paahtamisen, paina stop-painiketta 3. Leivänpaahdin kytkeytyy pois päältä ja leipäviipaleet ponnahtavat ylös.

Lämmittäminen

			Lämmitystoiminnolla on mahdollista lämmittää leipä sitä ruskistamatta. Esimerkiksi
			jos paahdettu leipä halutaan lämmittää uudelleen. Leipää lämmitetään vain lyhyesti.
	FI		Aktivoimalla sulatustoiminto voidaan pakastettu paahtoleipä paahtaa yhtä ruskeaksi
			kuin tuore paahtoleipä.
			1)	Laita leipä leivänpaahtimeen ja paina käyttöpainike 7 alas.
			2)	Paina lämmityspainiketta	4. Integroitu merkkivalo palaa.
			3)	Kun leipä on lämmennyt, laite sammuu automaattisesti, ja leipäviipaleet
				ponnahtavat ylös.

Sulattaminen

Sulatuspainikkeella 5 voidaan sulattaa ja paahtaa pakastettu paahtoleipä. Leivänpaahdin lämmittää tällöin leipää hitaasti. Sulatuspainikkeen aktivoinnilla pakastettu paahtoleipä voidaan paahtaa yhtä ruskeaksi kuin tuore paahtoleipä.

1)Kun olet valinnut haluamasi ruskistusasteen, laita leipä ruskistusaukkoon 6.

2)Paina käyttöpainike 7 alas.

3)Paina sulatuspainiketta 5. Integroitu merkkivalo palaa.

4)Kun leipä on sulatettu ja paahdettu, leivänpaahdin kytkeytyy automaattisesti päältä, sulatuspainikkeen 5 integroitu merkkivalo sammuu, ja leipäviipaleet ponnahtavat ylös.

Murulaatikko

Paahdettaessa putoavat muruset kerätään murulaatikkoon 9.

1)Poista leivänmurut vetämällä murulaatikko 9 ulos.

2)Poista leivänmurut.

3)Työnnä murulaatikko 9 leivänpaahtimeen niin, että se lukittuu paikoilleen.

Puhdistaminen

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

► Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta, ennen kuin puhdistat laitteen.

Älä koskaan upota laitetta veteen tai muihin nesteisiin! Muutoin on olemassa sähköiskun aiheuttama hengenvaara.

VAROITUS! LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

► Anna leivänpaahtimen viilentyä ennen puhdistamista. Palovamman vaara!

HUOMIO - AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

►Älä käytä voimakkaita tai hankaavia puhdistusaineita. Se vaurioittaa laitteen pintaa.

■Puhdista leivänpaahtimen pinta kuivalla pyyhkeellä tai kevyesti kostutetulla liinalla.

■Tyhjennä murulaatikko 9 säännöllisin väliajoin tulipalon välttämiseksi.

Säilytys

■Puhdista leivänpaahdin kappaleessa ”Puhdistus” kuvatulla tavalla.

■Kierrä virtajohto leivänpaahtimen alla olevan johtokelan 8 ympäri.

■ Säilytä leivänpaahdin kuivassa tilassa. FI

Hävittäminen

Älä missään tapauksessa hävitä laitetta tavallisen kotitalousjätteen mukana.

Anna laite valtuutetun jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnallisen jätehuoltolaitoksen hävitettäväksi. Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Ota epäselvissä tapauksissa yhteyttä paikalliseen jätehuoltolaitokseen.

Takuu ja huolto

		Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Laite on valmistettu huolella ja tarkastettu
		perusteellisesti ennen toimitusta.
	FI	Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi ostosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä
		lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voidaan taata tuotteesi maksuton lähettä-
		minen huoltoon.

►Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaalija valmistusvirheitä, ei kuitenkaan kuljetusvaurioita, kuluvia osia tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai akkujen vaurioita.

Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiseen käyttöön, sitä ei saa käyttää kaupallisiin tarkoituksiin. Laitteen vääränlainen tai asiaton käsittely, väkivallan käyttö ja muun kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat korjaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen.

Tämä takuu ei rajoita kuluttajan lakisääteisiä oikeuksia. Takuukorjaus ei pidennä takuuaikaa. Tämä koskee myös vaihdettuja ja korjattuja osia.

Mahdollisesti jo ostettaessa olemassa olevista vaurioista ja puutteista on ilmoitettava välittömästi pakkauksen avaamisen jälkeen, viimeistään kuitenkin kahden päivän sisällä ostopäiväyksestä.

Takuuajan päättymisen jälkeen suoritettavat korjaukset ovat maksullisia.

Takuukorjaus ei pidennä takuuaikaa. Tämä koskee myös vaihdettuja ja korjattuja osia.

Mahdollisesti jo ostettaessa olemassa olevista vaurioista ja puutteista on ilmoitettava välittömästi pakkauksen avaamisen jälkeen, viimeistään kuitenkin kahden päivän sisällä ostopäiväyksestä.

Takuuajan päättymisen jälkeen suoritettavat korjaukset ovat maksullisia.
