Safety Instructions
Before you use this device for the first time, please read the following notes in
this manual and heed all warnings, even if you are familiar with handling
electronic devices. Keep this manual safe for future reference. If you sell the
device or pass it on, it is essential that you also hand over this manual.
This icon denotes important information for safe operation of
the product and for the user’s safety.
Never use any optical devices such as a magnifying lens to look directly
into the light beam. If you suspect any eye damage, consult a doctor.
Electrical devices do not belong in the hands of children. Do not allow
children to use electrical devices when not under supervision. Children
may not understand that they can be dangerous. Keep the packaging
away from children too as there is danger of suffocation.
If you notice any smoke, unusual noises or strange smells, switch off the
device immediately and remove the plug from the wall outlet. Do not inhale
any smoke originating from a device fire in order to avoid damage to your
respiratory tract. In these cases the device should no longer be used and
should be inspected by authorized service personnel.
The housing of the magnifier lamp and the power cable may not be
damaged in any way as there is danger of electric shock. Stop using the
lamp immediately if you find any cables damaged; never replace a
damaged cable.
Never open the housing of the magnifier lamp.

Power Cable
Always hold the power cable by the plug and never pull on the cable itself.
Do not place the device itself or any furniture or other heavy objects on the
power cable. Make sure that the cable does not become trapped.
Never tie knots in the cable and do not tie it together with other cables. All
cables should be positioned so that nobody can trip over them or be
obstructed by them.
Do not use an adapter plug or extension cable that does not meet the
required safety standards. Do not try to open or modify the cable.
Intended Use
The LED magnifier lamp LL72 can be used as a desktop lamp. With the aid of
the integrated magnifying lens you can also use it as a magnifier lamp. To use
the lamp as a magnifier lamp, simply open the top cover of the lamp shade.
With the aid of the adjustment mechanisms you can easily align the lamp to
suit your needs.
Always make sure that the lamp is on a stable surface. This magnifier lamp is
not intended for commercial use. The device fulfils all relevant norms and
standards associated with CE Conformity. Any modifications to the device
other than recommended changes by the manufacturer may result in these
standards no longer being met.

Getting Started
Unpack the lamp.
Plug the power plug into a suitable and easily accessible power
socket. Extension cables or multiple outlet strips that do not meet
safety requirements may not be used.
Press the On/Off switch (6) to position "I" to switch on the magnifier
lamp.
Press the On/Off switch (6) to position "0"“ to switch off the magnifier
lamp.
Mains Isolation:
The device is only fully isolated from the mains when the
mains plug is pulled out of the wall outlet. Switching off the
device with the incorporated switch does not disconnect the
appliance from the mains.
Aligning the magnifier lamp
Using the ball joint (2) on the lamp shade and the joint (3) on the base of the
lamp you can easily align the lamp to suit your needs.
Use the Allen key stored on the underside of the base of the lamp to
loosen the joint (3) at the base of the lamp.
Set the angle of the magnifier lamp to suit your needs.
Retighten the Allen screw to fix the magnifier lamp into position.
Using the magnifying lens
Open the cover of the lamp shade by pulling on the lug (1).
Look through the magnifying glass from above to obtain an enlarged
view of small objects beneath the lamp shade. To focus on what you
are looking at, move the object closer to or further away from the
magnifying glass.
If you no longer need to use the magnifying glass, close the cover
again.

Appendix
Cleaning
To clean the magnifier lamp use a dry cloth. Never use any solvents or
cleaners that may damage the plastic housing. Make sure that no liquid gets
into the housing. If the lamp is very dirty, use a slightly moistened cloth.
Servicing
The light source of the magnifier lamp consists of long-life LEDs. The LEDs
can not be replaced and do not require any servicing.
If the power cable becomes damaged, it may not be replaced. If the power
cable or the housing of the magnifier lamp become damaged, the lamp may no
longer be used.
Disposal of Old Devices
If the product is labelled with a struck-out waste bin, it is
subject to European Directive 2002/96/EC. All electrical and
electronic devices must be disposed of separately from
household waste at official disposal centres. This device may
not be disposed of as domestic waste. You can obtain
information on collection points or collection dates from your
municipal administration or local waste disposal company.
Recycle the packaging material properly too. Cardboard packaging can be
taken to paper recycling containers or public collection points for recycling.
Any film or plastic contained in the packaging should be taken to your public
collection points for disposal.
