Description of the appliance

Product Information
• During the day, the solar cells convert sunlight into electricity and charge the battery. At night / twilight, the Solar Lamp automatically switches itself on and provides light by means of the stored electical power.
• The number of operating hours is dependant on how long and how intensively the sun has shone upon the collector panel 4.

Placement
For best results, place your Solar lamp in a location where sunlight shines directly onto the collector panel 4. Direct sunlight of at least 8 hours is ideal to ensure that the battery is fully charged. The location must be free from shadow and shade. Make sure that the collector panel 4 is not subjected to light sources other than sunlight. Otherwise, the lamp will not be switched on at twilight.
Initial use
³ Remove the collector panel 4 together with
the reflector 5 out of the housing 6. Turn the reflector 5 somewhat against the collector panel 4, until it releases itself from the re- straint. ³ Remove the reflector 5 from the collector pa-
nel 4. ³ Place the function switch 1, on the bottom of
the collector panel 4, at the ON position.
³ Place the reflector 5 and the collector panel
4 back together again.
³ Replace the collector panel 4, together with
the reflector 5, back into the housing 6. ³ Place the solar lamp at a suitable location.
Note:
The charging process will only start if the function switch 1 is in the ON position. It can take a few days until the Solar Lamp has reached its optimal performance efficiency.
After the battery is charged, the solar light turns itself on automatically at dusk. ³ To switch the solar lamp off, place the functi-
on switch 1, on the bottom of the collector
panel 4, into the OFF position.
Changing the battery
Replace the battery when the illumination time, despite a day-long charge period, diminishes after 2 hours of darkness. ³ Remove the collector panel 4 together with
the reflector 5 out of the housing 6. Turn the reflector 5 somewhat against the collector panel 4, until it releases itself from the re- straint. ³ Remove the reflector 5 from the collector pa-
nel 4. ³ Open the battery compartment 3 on the un-
derside of the collector panel 4. ³ Remove the battery and replace it with a new
one of the same type. When inserting it, com-
ply with the polarities. ³ Close the battery compartment 3 and repla-
ce the reflector 5 and the collector panel 4
back together. ³ Replace the collector panel 4, together with
the reflector 5, back into the housing 6.
Cleaning
Clean the collector panel 4 with a moist cloth. Clean the housing 6 of the solar light with a soft brush.
