The term “power tool”as used in the safety advice refers to electrical tools powered by mains electricity (with mains lead) and electrical tools powered by rechargeable batteries (without mains lead)!
1) Work area
a)Keep your work area clean and well lit. Untidy or poorly lit working areas can result in accidents.
b)Do not use the power tool in potentially explosive environments containing flammable liquids, gases or dusts. Power tools create sparks which can ignite dusts or fumes.
c)Keep children and other people away while you are operating the power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control of the equipment.
2) Electrical safety
a)The mains plug on the power tool must fit the mains socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Never use adapter plugs with earthed

power tools. Unmodified plugs and the correct sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
b)Avoid touching grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ovens, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
c)Keep the power tool away from rain or moisture. Water entering a power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
d)Do not use the mains lead for any purpose for which it was not intended, e.g. to carry or hang up the power tool, or to pull the mains plug out of the mains socket. Keep the mains lead away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the equipment. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
e)When using power tools outdoors, only use extension cords suitable for outdoor use. Using an extension cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f)Use a residual current equipment (RCD) for protection if operating the electrical power tool in a moist environment is unavoidable. Using an earth leakage circuit breaker reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal Safety
a)Remain alert at all times, watch what you are doing and always proceed with caution when using power tools. Do not use power tools when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. One moment of carelessness when using the power tool can lead to serious injury.
b)Always wear protective equipment and safety glasses. Wearing personal protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, safety helmet or ear protectors, depending on the type and application of the power tool, reduces the risk of injuries.
c)Avoid accidental starting. Verify the power tool is

switched off before connecting it to the mains and/ or connecting the battery, picking it up, or carrying it. Carrying the power tool with your finger on the ON / OFF switch or connecting switched on equipment to the mains can result in accidents.
d)Remove any setting tools or spanners before you switch the power tool on. Leaving a tool or spanner attached to a rotating part of a equipment can lead to injury.
e)Avoid unnatural postures. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This will ensure having better control over the power tool in unforeseen circumstances.
f)Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves clear of moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can become trapped in moving parts.
g)If vacuum dust extraction and collection equipments are fitted do not forget to check that they are proper-
ly connected and correctly used. Using of a dust extraction system reduces the hazard presented by dust.
4)Using and handling the equipment
a)Do not overload the equipment. Always use a power tool intended for the task.
By using the right power tool for the job you will work more safely and achieve a better result.
b)Do not use a power tool with a defective switch.
Power tools that can no longer be switched on and off are dangerous and must be repaired.
c)Unplug from the mains and/or remove the battery before adjusting the equipment, changing accessories, or setting the equipment down. This precaution is intended to prevent you from unintentionally starting the power tool.
d)Always be sure to keep power tools out of reach of children when not in use. Do not let anyone use the

power tool if he or she is not familiar with it or has not read the instructions and advice. Power tools are dangerous when used by inexperienced individuals.
e)Maintain the power tool with care. Check that moving parts are working properly and move freely. Check for any parts that are broken or damaged enough to detrimentally affect
the function of the power tool. Have damaged parts repaired before using the equipment. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f)Keep cutting tools clean and sharp. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
g)Use the electrical power tool, accessories, inserted tools etc. in accordance with these instructions and advice, and the stipulations drawn up for this particular type of equipment. When doing so consider the working conditions and the application. The use of electri-
cal power tools for purposes other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.
5)Using and handling the battery operated tool
a)Always charge the rechargeable batteries in chargers recommended by the manufacturer. A charger suitable for a specific type of rechargeable batteries may cause fires when used with different rechargeable batteries.
b)Always use the power tool with the specified rechargeable batteries. Using different rechargeable batteries can result in injuries and fire hazards.
c)Keep the rechargeable battery not in use away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects which may result in bridging of the contacts. A short circuit between the battery contacts can result in burns or fire.
d)Incorrect use can result in battery leaks. Avoid con-

tact with the liquid. Rinse with water in the event of accidental contact. If the liquid enters the eye, also seek medical help. Leaking battery fluid can result in kin irritations or burns.
6) Service
Always have the power tool repaired by qualified professionals using only OEM spare parts. This will ensure the safety of the power tool. Have defective power cords replaced by the manufacturer or similarly qualified and authorised persons.
Safety instructions for the charger
Read the instructions for use before use. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
a)Protect the charger from rain and moisture. Water entering the equipment increases the risk of electric shock.
b)Always use chargers from the manufacturer. Using chargers not designed by the manufacturer for this tool can cause a fire hazard.
c)Never use different batteries with the included charger. The charger is only suitable for charging lithium-ion batteries of a specific rated voltage. Charging batteries not suitable for the equipment can result in fireand explosion hazards.
d)Keep the charger clean. Dirt can result in the risk of electric shock.
e)Check the charger, cable and plug before every use. Never use chargers if parts are defective. Never open the charger, and refrain

from repairing the charger yourself. Never use the charger if parts are defective. Always have the charger repaired by persons qualified and authorised to do so. Damaged chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of electric shock.
f)Never use the equipment in direct vicinity of flammables (paper, fabric, etc). This will prevent fire hazards due to overheating.
g)Battery fluid may leak from this battery when using the charger improperly. Avoid any contact with the battery fluid. In the event of accidental contact with battery fluid, flush the affected area well. If battery fluid comes into contact with the eyes, consult a physician.
Battery fluid can result in skin irritation or burns.
h)Never open the charger.
This will prevent the risk of electric shock.
i)Protect the equipment from heat, as well as constant sunlight and fire. Explosion hazard.
j)Never short-circuit the bat-
tery. Explosion hazard. In the event of improper use or damage, vapours may leak from the equipment. Ensure fresh air and consult a physician if you experience discomfort. Vapours can affect the airways.
k)Never operate the charger on flammable surfaces (e.g. paper, textile). The heat produced by charging poses a fire hazard.
l)If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
m)CAUTION: Only allow children at least 8 years old to use the battery charger. Give sufficient instruction so that the child is able to use the battery charger in a safe way and explain that it is not a toy and must not be played with.
n)Instruct the child not to try and recharge non-recharge- able batteries because of the danger of eruption.
o)Examine the battery charger regularly for damage, especially the cord, plug and en-

closure. If the battery charger is damaged, it must not be used until it has been repaired.
Additional safety requirements for the charger
1.Please check the data specified on the nameplate of the battery charger. Connect the battery charger to a power supply which responds with the voltage specified on the nameplate. Never connect the charger to a power supply with different voltage.
2.Protect the battery charger and its cable from damage and sharp edges. Have damaged cables repaired by a qualified electrician immediately.
3.Only use the battery charger in dry environments and at an ambient temperature between 10 °C and 40 °C.
4.Do not leave the battery charger in locations where the temperature may rise to 50 °C. Especially do not leave the battery chargers in cars parked in the sun.
5.Do not inspect the charger plug with conductive objects. Doing so poses a risk of
electric shock or death from electric shock!
6.This charger is not intended for purposes other than charging rechargeable batteries. Any other use can result in fire, electric shock or death from electric shock.
7.To prevent damaging the plug or the cable as best possible, disconnect from power power by pulling on the plug, not the cable.

11.To lower the risk of electric shock, disconnect the charger from the outlet before cleaning.
Safety notices for the rechargeable battery
a)Do not open the rechargeable battery. There otherwise is a risk of short circuit.
b)Protect the rechargeable battery from heat (constant sunlight), fire, water and moisture. Risk of explosion.
c)Do not short-circuit the rechargeable battery. Risk of explosion.
d)Damage and improper use of the rechargeable battery may result in vapours leaking. If discomfort occurs, provide ventilation and seek medical attention. The vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
e)Fluid may leak from a damaged rechargeable battery and come into contact with surrounding components. Check all affected parts.
Clean these parts or replace, if necessary.

f)Only use the rechargeable battery along with the equipment. This will protect the rechargeable battery from dangerous overload.
g)Only use OEM rechargeable batteries; Using other rechargeable batteries, e.g. copies, refurbished batteries or other brand batteries poses a risk of injuries and property damage due to rechargeable batteries exploding.
h)Only store the rechargeable battery at a temperature range from 10 °C to 25 °C.
So do not leave the rechargeable battery in the car in summer.
Additional safety requirements for rechargeable batteries
1.The rechargeable battery included with the batteryoperated power tool is not charged. The rechargeable battery must be charged before using the tool for the first time.
2.The charge of the battery will diminish, even when not used. We therefore recom-

mend regular charging, e.g. every four to six months.
3.Never allow the rechargeable battery to fully drain. This could result in damages.
4.Charging the rechargeable battery early helps maintain a long service life. If you notice the performance of the battery operated tool decreases, the battery must be recharged.
5.Avoid contact with leaking rechargeable batteries. In the event of accidental contact, wash the affected area of the skin with soap and water. If battery acid comes into contact with the eyes, flush the eyes for a minimum of ten minutes using clean water, and seek immediate medical attention. Neutralise other affected areas with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar.
6.Ensure the battery contacts do not come into contact with other metal objects such as nails or screws. There otherwise is a risk of short circuit!
7.The rechargeable battery will become hot with heavy use. Allow the rechargeable bat-

tery to cool to room temperature before charging.
Additional safety notices
Familiarise yourself with all contents and the correct
use of the equipment before using it. Be sure you are able to immediately shut off the equipment in the event of an emergency. Improper use can result in serious injuries.
. Never allow children to use the equipment. The law and local ordinances may require a minimum age for use. Further, do not allow persons not familiar with the entire operating instructions to use the equipment.
. Always operate the equipment in daylight or good artificial lighting.
. Be mindful of open windows, children, pets, etc. Stop working if children and pets are nearby. The material being blown may be blown toward you. Maintain a safety distance of 5 m around you.

Removing / Inserting the rechargeable battery

1.To remove the rechargeable battery (9) from the equipment, press the unlock button (8) on the battery and remove the battery.
2.To insert the rechargeable battery (9) slide the battery into the equipment along the guide rail. You will hear it lock in.
Only insert the rechargeable battery once the equipment is fully assembled. There is a danger of injury!
Charging the battery
Charge the battery when the last LED in
the charge indicator (7) changes from green to yellow/red. The charge indicator on the charger (12) will light up red when charging starts and whilst charging. Once charging is complete the charge indicator will change to green.

1.If necessary, remove the rechargeable battery
(9) from the equipment.
2.Slide the battery (9) all the way into the charging slot of the charger (12).
3.Connect the charger (12) to an outlet.
4.Once charging is complete, disconnect the charger (12) from the mains and remove the battery from the charger (12).

Assembly instructions
Only insert the rechargeable battery once the equipment is fully assembled. There is a danger of injury!
Putting the equipment together:

Insert the upper blower tube (2) into the lower blower tube until you hear it latch in.

Slide the upper blower tube (2) onto the connecting piece (10) on the motor housing (4) until it locks. The locking button (3) must be pressed in to slide on the upper blower tube (2). You will clearly hear the upper blower tube (2) latch into the locking button (3).
Operation
Observe noise control and local ordinances.
Switching on and off
Ensure a solid stance and hold the equipment firmly, with distance to your body. Before switching on the equipment, ensure it does not come into contact with objects.

1.Verify the rechargeable battery (9) is inserted (see “Charging-removing / inserting the battery”).
2.To switch on, slide the on/off switch (5) forward to position “1” or “2”. Slide the On / Off switch (5) forward to position “1” so the equipment can operate at a lower speed. Or to position “2” to operate the equipment at a higher speed.
3.Slide the On/Off switch (5) back to switch off.

Checking the battery charge
The charge indicator (7) shows the condition of the rechargeable battery (9) when starting the equipment.

Cleaning and storage
Have repairs and maintenance not described in these instructions performed by our service centre. Only use OEM parts.
Switch off the equipment and remove the rechargeable battery from the equipment before working on the equipment.
Regularly perform the following cleaning and maintenance work. This will ensure a long, reliable life.
Cleaning
Never spray down the equipment
or immerse in water. This poses a risk of electric shock.
Keep ventilation slots, motor housing and handles on the equipment clean.
Do so using a damp cloth or a brush.

Do not use cleaners or solvents. These could damage the equipment beyond repair.
Storage
The upper blower tube (2) may be removed from the motor housing (A4) for storage. To do so, press the locking button (A3) and slide the upper blower tube (2) forward and off.
Store the equipment in a dry location, protected from use and out of the range of children.
Remove the rechargeable battery from the equipment before storing for extended periods (e.g. over winter).
Only store the battery partly charged. When storing for extended periods, the charge should be 40-60%.
When storing for extended periods, check the battery charge about every 4-6 months and recharge if necessary.
Store the rechargeable battery at 10 oC to 25 oC. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage to ensure the rechargeable battery does not lose power.
Disposal / environmental protection
Remove the rechargeable battery from the equipment and dispose of the equipment, rechargeable battery, accessories and packaging through environmentally-friendly recycling.
Electrical equipment does not belong in household rubbish.
Do not throw the battery into household rubbish, fire (explosion hazard) or into water. Damaged batteries can be

Mainittu värähtelyarvo on mitattu standardoidun menetelmän mukaisesti, ja sitä voidaan verrata toisen sähkötyökalun arvoon.

Turvallisuusohjeissa käytetty käsite ”sähkötyökalu“ koskee verkkokäyttöisiä sähkötyökoneita (verkkojohdolla) ja akkukäyttöisiä sähkötyökoneita (ilman johtoa)!
1) Työskentelyalue
a)Pidä työskentelyalueesi puhtaana ja huolehdi hyvästä valaistuksesta. Epäjärjestys ja huono valaistus voivat johtaa onnettomuuksiin.
b)Älä käytä laitetta räjähdysvaarallisessa ympäristössä, jossa säilytetään helposti syttyviä nesteitä, kaasuja tai jossa kehittyy pölyä. Sähkötyökalut kehittävät kipinöintiä, jotka voivat sytyttää pölyn tai höyryn.
c)Lapsien ja muiden henkilöiden läsnäolo laitteen ollessa käytössä ei ole sallittua. Huomion kiinnittyessä muualle voit helposti menettää laitteen hallinnan.
2) Sähköturvallisuus
a)Laitteen pistokkeen pitää sopia pistorasiaan. Pistoketta ei saa muuttaa millään tavalla. Älä käytä adapteria yhdessä suojamaadoitettujen laitteiden kanssa. Alkuperäinen pistoke ja sopivat pistorasiat vähentävät sähköiskuvaaraa.

b)Vältä kosketusta maadoitettuihin pintoihin, kuten putkiin, lämpöpattereihin, liesiin sekä jääkaappeihin.
Sähköiskun riski on suurempi, jos kehosi on maadoitettu.
c)Älä pidä laitetta sateessa tai muussa kosteassa paikassa.
Veden tunkeutuminen laitteeseen kohottaa sähköiskun riskiä.
d)Älä kanna tai ripusta laitetta kaapelista äläkä vedä kaapelista kun irrotat laitteen pistorasiasta. Älä jätä kaapelia kuumaan paikkaan, älä päästä siihen öljyä, varo teräviä reunoja sekä laitteen pyöriviä osia. Vaurioitunut tai kietoutunut kaapeli lisää sähköiskun mahdollisuutta.
e)Jos työskentelet sähkötyökalulla ulkona, käytä jatkokaapelia, jonka käyttö on sallittu myös ulkotiloissa.
Ulkotilaan soveltuva kaapeli vähentää sähköiskun vaaraa.
f)Jos sähkötyökalua joudutaan käyttämään kosteassa ympäristössä, käytä silloin vikavirtakytkintä. Vikavirtakytkimen käyttö vähentää sähköiskun vaaraa.
3) Henkilöturvallisuus
a)Käyttäessäsi sähkötoimisia laitteita, toimi aina huolellisesti ja järkevästi. Älä käytä laitetta, jos olet väsynyt, käyttänyt huumausaineita, alkoholia tai lääkkeitä. Epätarkkaavaisuus laitetta käytettäessä voi aiheuttaa vakavia loukkaantumisia.
b)Käytä henkilökohtaista suojavarustusta ja aina suojalaseja. Henkilökohtaisen suojavarustuksen kuten pölynaamarin, turvakenkien, kypärän tai kuulosuojaimen käyttö sähkötyökalun käytöstä riippuen vähentää loukkaantumisriskiä.
c)Varo käynnistämästä laitetta vahingossa. Varmista, että sähkötyökalu on kytket-
ty pois päältä, ennen kuin liität sen sähköverkkoon ja/ tai akkuun, nostat tai siirrät sitä. Tapaturmat ovat mahdollisia, jos sormesi on laitetta kantaessasi virtakytkimellä tai laite on kytketty päälle.
d)Poista kaikki työkalut ja ruuviavaimet paikalta ennen kuin kytket laitteen päälle.

f)Käytä sopivaa vaatetusta. Älä käytä löysiä vaatteita äläkä pidä koruja. Hiukset, vaatteet ja käsineet on pidettävä etäällä liikkuvista osista. Löysät vaatteet, korut ja avonaiset hiukset voivat jäädä kiinni liikkuviin osiin.
g)Jos laitteeseen asennetaan pölynimuja pölynkeruulaite, varmista, että laitteet on liitetty ja niitä käytetään oikein. Pölynimulaitteen käyttö vähentää pölystä aiheutuvia vaaroja.
4) Laitteen käsittely ja käyttö
a)Älä ylirasita laitetta. Käytä työssäsi sitä työtä varten tarkoitettua sähkötyökalua.
Sopivalla sähkötyökalulla työskentelet paremmin ja varmemmin sen tehoalueella.
b)Älä käytä mitään sähkötyökalua, jonka käynnistyskytkin

on viallinen. Sähkötyökalu, jota ei voi enää kytkeä päälle tai päältä, on vaarallinen ja se on korjattava.
c)Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta ja/tai poista akku laitteesta, ennen kuin säädät laitetta, vaihdat lisätarvikkeita tai asetat sen työtasolle. Nämä varotoimenpiteet estävät laitteen tahattoman käynnistymisen.
d)Säilytä sähkötyökaluja lasten ulottumattomissa kun niitä ei käytetä. Älä anna laitetta henkilöiden käyttöön, jotka eivät ole perehtyneet sen toimintaan tai eivät ole lukeneet tätä ohjetta. Sähkötyökalut ovat vaarallisia, jos kokemattomat henkilöt käyttävät niitä.
e)Hoida laitetta huolellisesti. Tarkista, että liikkuvat osat toimivat moitteettomasti ja etteivät ne jumitu ja että osat ovat moitteettomassa kunnossa niin, etteivät ne haittaa laitteen toimintaa. Korjauta vialliset osat aina ennen kuin käytät laitetta.
Usein onnettomuuksien syynä on huonosti huolletut sähkötyökalut.

f)Pidä terät terävinä ja puhtaina. Huolella hoidetut ja terävät leikkuuterät eivät juutu niin helposti työkappaleeseen ja niitä on helpompi käyttää.
g)Käytä sähkötyökaluja, lisätarvikkeita, käyttötarvikkeita jne. tässä esitettyjen ohjeiden mukaisesti. Ota huomioon työolosuhteet ja suoritettava työtehtävä.
Sähkötyökalun käyttö muuhun kuin sille määrättyyn tarkoitukseen voi johtaa vaaratilanteisiin.
5)Akkutyökalun käsittely ja käyttö
a)Lataa akut vain valmistajan suosittelemissa latureissa.
Vain tietyntyyppisille akuille soveltuva laturi voi syttyä palamaan, jos sillä ladataan muuntyyppisiä akkuja.
b)Käytä sähkötyökaluissa vain niihin sopivia akkuja.
Muuntyyppisten akkujen käyttö voi johtaa loukkaantumisiin tai tulipaloon.
c)Älä pidä käyttämätöntä akkua paperiliittimien, kolikkojen, avaimien, naulojen, ruuvien tai muiden pienten
metalliesineiden läheisyydessä, sillä ne voivat johtaa siltakytkentään. Akkukontaktien välinen oikosulku voi aiheuttaa palovammoja tai tulipalon.
d)Akusta voi vuotaa nestettä, jos sitä käytetään väärin. Vältä koskemasta akkunesteeseen. Jos nestettä joutuu iholle, huuhtele kohta vedellä. Jos nestettä joutuu silmiin, ota silloin myös yhteyttä lääkäriin. Vuotava akkuneste voi aiheuttaa ihoärsytystä tai palovammoja.
6) Huoltopalvelu
Anna sähkötyökalu vain koulutetun ammattilaisen korjattavaksi, joka käyttää alkuperäisiä varaosia. Näin voidaan varmistaa laitteen turvallinen käyttö. Vaihdata sähköjohto vain valmistajalla tai jollakin muulla koulutetulla ja tehtävään valtuutetulla henkilöllä.

lapset ja henkilöt, jotka ovat fyysisiltä tai psyykkisiltä kyvyiltääntai aisteiltaan rajoittuneita tai joilla ei ole kokemusta tai tietoa laitteen käytöstä, jos he käyttävät laitettavalvonnan alaisina tai heitä on opastettu laitteen turvallisessa käytössä ja he ovat tietoisia laitteeseen liittyvistä vaaroista. Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella. Lapset eivät saa puhdistaa tai huoltaa laitetta ilman valvontaa.
a)Suojaa laturia sateelta ja kosteudelta. Veden tunkeutuminen laitteeseen lisää sähköiskun vaaraa.
b)Käytä vain valmistajan latureita. Muiden kuin valmistajan latureiden käyttö voi johtaa tulipalon vaaraan.
c)Älä lataa muita paristoja toimitukseen sisältyvällä laturilla. Laturi soveltuu vain tietyllä nimellisjännitteellä varustettujen litiumioniakkujen lataukseen. Laitteeseen soveltumattomien akkujen lataaminen voi johtaa tulipalon- ja räjähdysvaaraan.
d)Pidä laturi puhtaana. Laitteen likaantuminen voi johtaa sähköiskun vaaraan.
e)Tarkista laturi, kaapeli ja pistoke aina ennen laitteen käyttöä. Älä koskaan käytä laturia, jossa on vioittuneita osia. Älä koskaan avaa laturia äläkä yritä korjata sitä itse. Älä koskaan käytä laturia vioittuneilla osilla. Korjauta laturi vain koulutetulla ja tehtävään valtuutetulla henkilöllä. Vioittuneet laturit, kaapelit ja pistokkeet lisäävät sähköiskun vaaraa.
f)Älä koskaan käytä laitetta helposti syttyvien materiaalien läheisyydessä (esim. paperit ja kankaat). Näin vältetään ylikuumenemisesta aiheutuva tulipalo.
g)Akusta voi vuotaa akkunestettä, jos laturia käytetään asiaankuulumattomalla tavalla. Vältä ehdottomasti koskettamista akkunesteeseen. Jos akkunestettä joutuu kuitenkin iholle, huuhtele kohta runsaalla vedellä hyvin. Jos akkunestettä joutuu silmiin, ota yhteyttä lääkäriin. Akkuneste
