Intended use
This Disco Ball is intended exclusively for decorative purposes in a private household. This appliance is not intended for illumination purposes, for commercial or industrial applications or for use outdoors. This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned, and they could lead to damage. Safety instructions
For safe handling of the appliance, observe the following safety information:
Connect the power adapter only to a correctly installed mains power socket whose voltage matches that given in the technical specifi cations of the adapter.
The mains power plug must always be easily accessible, so that in the event
of an emergency the appliance can be quickly disconnected from the mains power supply.
Ensure that neither the Disco Ball nor the power adapter come into contact
with water or other liquids. There is a risk of electric shock! Use the Discoball only in dry indoor areas, not outdoors.
Immediately disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket if
the Disco Ball does not function faultlessly or there is visible damage to the power adapter. Then arrange for the appliance to be checked by Customer Services.
After use or during extended absences, ALWAYS remove the power adapter
from the mains power socket. Otherwise, the power adapter remains “live” for as long as it continues to be connected to the mains power socket. Thus it also consumes energy.
Use only the supplied power adapter (Model: QM-2401206), other models
are possibly not suffi ciently safe or are unsuitable for the Disco Ball.
When the Disco Ball is in use, ensure that it hangs completely free and will
not be blocked or covered by anything. This would lead to a build-up of heat.
DO NOT hang the Disco Ball over infl ammable objects, especially not over
decorations, curtains or drapes. This would increase the risk of fi re!
Lay the cable from the power adapter to the Disco Ball such that no one can
trip over it and/or that the Disco Ball can be pulled down.
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Operation
Completely unwind the cable of the power adapter. Insert the connection plug of the power adapter into the connection socket on the Disco Ball, then insert the plug of the power adapter into a mains power socket. The Disco Ball begins to slowly rotate and it is illuminated by the coloured
LEDs in the ceiling mount. To turn the Disco Ball off , remove the power adapter from the mains power
socket.
Assembling the ceiling mount
CAUTION
Check to ensure that no pipes or electric cables are located at the drilling site. There is a risk of electric shock!
In cases of frequent use, it is sensible to affi x the Disco Ball fi rmly to the ceiling. If you only want to use the Disco Ball occasionally, you can fold out the bracket on the ceiling mount and hang it from a hook.
Fixed installation (see Fig. 1)
Hold the ceiling bracket at the location where you wish to install the Disco Ball, and mark the three drilling holes. Drill the holes for the plugs.
Attach the ceiling bracket to the ceiling with the plugs and screws.
Hanging by the bracket (see Fig. 2)
If you want to secure the Disco Ball with a hook, mark a drilling hole. Drill the hole for the plug. Screw the hook (not supplied) into the plug.
Fold out the bracket on the ceiling mount and hang the Disco Ball up from it.
If you want to hang the Disco Ball from a pre-situated hook, ensure that the hook has suffi cient capacity to bear the weight. Additionally, ensure that the Disco Ball can rotate without hindrance. If possible, also attach the cable of the power adapter to the ceiling so that
it does not hang down onto the rotating Disco Ball.
