These operating instructions are a component of the Cordless Handheld Spotlight
LAH 55 A1 (henceforth designated as the appliance) and they supply you with
important information for the intended use, safety and connection as well as
operation of the appliance.
These operating instructions must be constantly kept available close to the appliance.
They are to be read and applied by everyone assigned to operate, and eliminate
faults in, the appliance.

This appliance is intended as a portable light source for outdoor areas. This appliance is spraywater protected, but is not designed for direct use in the rain. This
appliance has four operating modes (halogen, LED operation, LED ambient lighting and LED fl ashing light). This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be
accepted. The operator alone bears liability.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging materials into the material circuit saves on raw
material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging
material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

Handling and operation
In this chapter you receive important information for the handling and operation
of the appliance.
Charging the battery
This appliance is equipped with a low-maintenance and securely sealed leadacid battery. To obtain an optimum service life for your battery, pay heed to the
following instructions:

Avoid a deep discharging of the battery. In the event of decreasing bright- ■
ness, switch the appliance off and recharge the battery. Never operate the
appliance without it being under supervision.

The charging time is approximately 15 hours, but with a very discharged ►
battery it may extend for about 1 to 2 hours.
Bear in mind that when charging via the car adapter
