Installing the USB to parallel converter
Before attempting to print, make sure that the printer driver has
been installed on your computer! Please consult your printer or OS
documentation for assistance in installing your printer.
To install in your Mac OS system:
1 Plug the parallel plug of the cable into the parallel port on the
printer.
2 Plug the USB end of the cable into an available USB port on the
computer.
3 Turn on the printer and computer. Click on USB hardware on the left
column and look for the IEEE-1284 Controller device under the USB
Device Tree where Mac OS X installs printer drivers.

4 To test print, open a document and click File --> Print. Select the
printer, and then click Print.
