3.ADJUST VOLUME/
SQUELCH
•Adjust VOLUME to a comfortable listening level.
•Turn SQUELCH fully counterclockwise.
•Adjust SQUELCH until the hissing sound stops.

LISTEN TO A WEATHER FREQUENCY
)Press WX. The scanner scans the weather band then stops within a few seconds on the strongest weather channel. See “Listening to a Weather Channel” on Page 40 of your Owner’s Manual.
SELECT A FREQUENCY
%1. Press TUNE. The scanner tunes up or down.
(2. Use the number keys to enter the frequency, then press ENTER. You hear the frequency. See “Manually Tuning a Frequency” on
Page 39 of your Owner’s Manual.

SAVE A FREQUENCY YOU SELECTED
$1. Press MANUAL, then enter the bank and channel number where you want to store the frequency (see “Channel Storage Banks” on Page 19 of your Owner’s Manual).
& 2. Press MANUAL then press PGM.
'3. Use the number keys and ./DELAY to enter the frequency, then press ENTER. See “Storing Known Frequencies into Channels” on Page 26 of your Owner’s Manual.
