Die Gebrauchsanleitung bitte sorgfältig durchlesen, danach handeln und aufbewahren! Bei Weitergabe des Geräts diese Anleitung beilegen. Dieses Gerät ist nur für den privaten Haushalt und das häusliche Umfeld bestimmt.
WStromschlaggefahr!
Das Gerät nur in Innenräumen bei Raumtemperatur und bis zu 2000 m über Meereshöhe verwenden. Das Gerät darf nur über eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose mit Erdung an ein Stromnetz mit Wechselstrom angeschlossen werden. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass das Schutzleitersystem der elektrischen Hausinstallation vorschriftsmäßig installiert ist. Gerät nur gemäß Angaben auf dem Typenschild anschließen und betreiben. Reparaturen am Gerät, wie z. B. eine beschädigte Netzanschlussleitung auswechseln, dürfen nur durch unseren Kundendienst ausgeführt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

Wichtig: Die Kanne nur mit der bei liegenden Basis verwenden.
■■Wasserkocher ausschließlich mit Wasser befüllen. Milch oder InstantProdukte brennen an und beschädigen das Gerät. Kanne nicht ohne Wasser betreiben oder überfüllen (min und max Markierung beachten). Bei Überfüllung des Wasserkochers kocht das Wasser über!
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
■■Vorhandene Aufkleber und Folien entfernen.
■■Zuleitung aus der Kabelaufwicklung auf gewünschte Länge abwickeln und anschließen.
■■Kanne zweimal mit klarem Wasser füllen und jeweils kochen lassen, um sie ganz zu säubern.
■■Beim ersten Aufkochen einen Esslöffel Haushaltsessig dazugeben.
Wasser kochen
■■Frisches Wasser in die Kanne entweder durch die Schnaupe einfüllen oder dazu den Deckel durch Drücken der Öffnungstaste öffnen.
■■Die Füllmenge an der Wasserstands anzeige ablesen. Nicht weniger als 0,3 Liter und nicht mehr als 1,7 Liter Wasser einfüllen!
■■Deckel schließen.
■■Den Schalter nach unten drücken, der Schalter leuchtet auf. Das Wasser wird erhitzt.
■■Der Wasserkocher schaltet nach Beendigung des Kochvorgangs auto matisch ab.
Durch Ziehen des Schalters nach oben kann das Gerät auch jederzeit ausgeschaltet werden.
Achtung: Wird die Kanne vor Beendigung des Kochvorgangs abgehoben und wieder aufgesetzt, setzt sich der Kochvorgang nicht fort.
Hinweise: Nur mit geschlossenem Deckel und eingesetztem Kalksieb betreiben, der Wasserkocher schaltet sonst nicht ab.
Aus physikalischen Gründen kann Kondenswasser an der Basis entstehen. Dies ist jedoch ein normaler Vorgang, die Kanne ist nicht undicht.
Gerät nach jedem Kochvorgang 5 Minuten abkühlen lassen, bevor wieder Wasser eingefüllt wird.
Gerät nicht einschalten, wenn die Kanne leer ist, sonst schaltet sich das Gerät durch den Überhitzungsschutz automatisch ab.
Reinigung und Pflege
WWStromschlaggefahr!
Das Gerät niemals in Wasser tauchen oder in den Geschirrspüler geben!
Keinen Dampfreiniger benutzen.
■■Netzstecker ziehen.
■■Kanne und Basis mit einem Tuch außen nur feucht abwischen. Keine scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
■■Kalksieb entnehmen, in etwas Essig einlegen und mit klarem Wasser ausspülen.
■■Kanne und Kalksieb mit klarem Wasser nachspülen.

Entkalken
Regelmäßiges Entkalken
■■verlängert die Lebensdauer des Gerätes; ■■gewährleistet eine einwandfreie Funktion; ■■spart Energie.
Die Kanne mit Essig oder einem handelsüblichen Entkalkungsmittel entkalken.
■■Kanne bis zur Markierung 1.7 mit Wasser befüllen und aufkochen lassen. Anschließend mit etwas Haushaltsessig auffüllen und mehrere Stunden einwirken lassen oder Entkalkungsmittel nach Herstellerangaben anwenden.
■■Anschließend Kanne und Kalksieb mit klarem Wasser spülen.
Achtung: Kalkreste keinesfalls mit harten Gegenständen entfernen, sonst wird die Dichtung beschädigt.
Tipp: Den Wasserkocher bei täglicher Benutzung öfters entkalken.
Kleine Störungen selbst beheben
Das Gerät heizt nicht, der Schalter leuchtet nicht auf.
––Der Überhitzungsschutz hat geschaltet. ■■Die Kanne längere Zeit abkühlen lassen, damit das Gerät wieder eingeschaltet
werden kann.
Das Gerät schaltet vor Beendigung des Kochvorgangs ab.
––Das Gerät ist verkalkt.
■■Das Gerät nach Anweisung entkalken.

WDanger of electric shock!
Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.
Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specifications. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Important: Use the kettle only with its included base.
■■Only fill the kettle with water. Milk and instant beverages will burn and damage the appliance. Never operate the kettle without water and do not overfill it; observe the min and max markings. If the kettle is too full, the water will boil over!
Before using for the first time
■■Remove any stickers or film.
■■Unroll the right amount of cable from the cable tidy and plug it in.
■■Fill the kettle with water. Bring the water to a boil and discard it. Repeat the procedure. This will make sure that the kettle is clean for normal use.
■■When the water comes to a boil for the first time, add a tablespoon of white vinegar.
Boiling water
■■Fill the kettle with fresh water, either through the spout or by pressing the opening button to open the lid.
■■Read the quantity on the water level indicator. Do not fill with less than
0.3 litres or more than 1.7 litres of water! ■■Close the lid.
■■Press down the switch; the switch lights up. The water is heated.
■■The kettle switches off automatically once the water has boiled.
The appliance can also be switched off at any time by pulling up the switch.
Warning: If you remove the kettle from the base and replace it before the heating process is over, the kettle will not continue to heat the water.
N.B.: Only operate the kettle with the lid closed and the limescale filter inserted, otherwise the kettle will not switch off.
For physical reasons, the base may collect some condensation water. This is normal; it does not mean that the kettle leaks.
After boiling, let the kettle cool down for 5 minutes before refilling it with water.
Do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty, otherwise the overheat control will engage and the appliance will switch itself off automatically.
Cleaning and maintenance

Never immerse the device in water or place it in the dishwasher!
Do not steam-clean the appliance.
■■Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
■■Clean the outside of the kettle and base with a damp cloth. Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
■■Remove the limescale filter, soak it in a little vinegar, then rinse clean with clear water.
■■Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.
Descaling
Regular descaling
■■makes your kettle last longer; ■■ensures proper function; ■■saves energy.

Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercial descaling agent.
■■Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.7 mark and bring to a boil. Next, add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours. You can also use a commercial descaling product and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
■■Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.
Warning: Never use hard objects to remove limescale residue as this will damage the seal.
Tip: If you use the kettle daily, descale more frequently.
Troubleshooting
The appliance does not heat and the switch does not light up.
––The overheat control has tripped. ■■Let the kettle cool down for some time
so that the appliance can be switched on again.
The unit turns off before the water comes to a boil.
––The kettle contains too much scale. ■■Descale the kettle as per the instructions.

WRisque d’incendie!
Ne jamais poser le socle ou la bouilloire sur des surfaces chaudes (tables de cuisson par ex.) ou à proximité de celles-ci. Empêcher les projections de graisse, le plastique risque d’être endommagé.

L’appareil chauffe pendant son utilisation. Ne le saisir que par la poignée et n’ouvrir le couvercle qu’une fois qu’il a refroidi. Utiliser l’appareil uniquement lorsque le couvercle est verrouillé.
Le niveau d’eau ne doit jamais dépasser le repère « max » pour éviter que l’eau en ébullition ne jaillisse hors de l’appareil.

Important: Utiliser la bouilloire exclusivement avec le socle fourni.
■■Remplir la bouilloire exclusivement d’eau. Le lait ou les préparations instantanées brûlent et endommagent l’appareil. Ne jamais utiliser la bouilloire sans eau ou en la remplissant trop, respecter les repères min et max. Lorsque la bouilloire est trop remplie, l’eau déborde en bouillant !
Avant la première utilisation
■■Retirer les autocollants et les films d’emballage.
■■Dérouler la longueur de cordon électrique nécessaire de l’enrouleur et brancher l’appareil.
■■Afin de bien nettoyer la bouilloire, la remplir d’eau fraîche et faire bouillir, répéter cette opération une deuxième fois.
■■La première fois, ajouter une cuillère à soupe de vinaigre.
Faire bouillir l’eau
■■Remplir la bouilloire avec de l’eau fraiche soit par le bec verseur ou alors en ouvrant pour cela le couvercle en appuyant sur le bouton d’ouverture.
■■Vérifier le niveau d’eau sur l’indicateur du niveau d’eau. Ne pas remplir avec moins de 0,3 litre et plus de 1,7 litre d’eau !
■■Fermer le couvercle.
■■Faire basculer le bouton vers le bas, le bouton s’allume. L’eau chauffe.
■■La bouilloire s’éteint automatiquement une fois que l’eau a bouilli.
L’appareil peut également être éteint à tout moment en faisant basculer le bouton vers le haut.
Attention : Si vous retirez la bouilloire avant la fin du cycle de chauffage et que vous la reposez, le cycle de chauffage ne reprend pas.
Remarques : Utiliser la bouilloire uniquement lorsque le couvercle est fermé et que filtre à calcaire est en place, sinon la bouilloire ne s’arrête pas.
Pour des raisons physiques, de l’eau peut se condenser au niveau du socle. C’est un phénomène tout à fait normal et ne signifie pas que la bouilloire présente un défaut d’étanchéité.
Après chaque utilisation, laisser refroidir la bouilloire 5 minutes avant de la remplir de nouveau d’eau.
Ne pas mettre l’appareil en marche lorsque la bouilloire est vide. En effet, dans ce cas l’appareil se déconnecte automatiquement en raison de la surchauffe.
Nettoyage et entretien
WWRisque de choc électrique !
Ne jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau, ne pas le mettre en lave-vaisselle !
Ne pas utiliser de nettoyeur à vapeur.
■■Débrancher la prise réseau.
■■Nettoyer l’extérieur de la bouilloire et du socle à l’aide d’un chiffon humide. Ne pas utiliser de produit nettoyant trop puissant ou abrasif.
■■Retirer le filtre à calcaire et le tremper dans un peu de vinaigre. Rincer à l’eau courante.
■■Ensuite rincer de nouveau la bouilloire et le filtre à calcaire à l’eau courante.

Détartrage
Détartrer régulièrement la bouilloire ■■afin de prolonger sa durée de vie, ■■afin de garantir un fonctionnement
optimal,
■■et afin d’économiser l’énergie.
Pour détartrer la bouilloire, utiliser du vinaigre ou un produit détartrant courant distribué dans le commerce.
■■Remplir la bouilloire d’eau jusqu’au repère 1.7 et faire bouillir. Ajouter ensuite un peu de vinaigre et laisser agir plusieurs heures ; ou bien utiliser du produit détartrant et se conformer aux indications du fabricant.
■■Rincer la bouilloire et le filtre à calcaire à l’eau courante.
Attention : Ne jamais retirer les résidus de calcaire avec un objet dur, cela endommagerait l’étanchéité.
Conseil pratique : Si vous utilisez la bouilloire quotidiennement, la détartrer plus fréquemment.
Régler soi-même les petites défaillances
L’appareil ne chauffe pas, le bouton ne s’allume pas.
––La protection contre la surchauffe ne s’active pas.
■■Laisser suffisamment refroidir la bouilloire afin de pouvoir l’utiliser de nouveau.
La bouilloire s’arrête avant que le cycle de chauffage ne soit terminé.
––Cela signifie qu’elle est entartrée. ■■Détartrer la bouilloire conformément aux
indications.
