SeaTalk/NMEA interface
The NMEA outputs of the S3 IPS course computer are restricted in use:
NMEA 1 - provides IPS commands only.
NMEA 2 - provides HDM (heading) data only.
Your system is packed with a SeaTalk/NMEA interface to provide an
additional NMEA output supporting a wider range of general NMEA data.
To obtain general NMEA data you must connect the SeaTalk/NMEA interface to the SeaTalk output of your course computer.
Note: For details of the NMEA data supported, refer to the separate handbook provided with the interface unit.
