This light is designed for use indoors only, in dry
and enclosed rooms.
The lamp is not suitable for attaching to tubular objects. Failure
to observe this advice could lead to the lamp falling and possible damage to the product and / or injury.
Avoid the danger of death from electric shock!
Before use, ensure that the mains voltage available is the
same as the required operating voltage for the device (230 V∼).
Before connecting the device to the mains you should always
check the device and the mains lead for any damage. A dam-
aged device represents the danger of death from electric shock. Do not use the device if you find any damage. The supply cord of the lamp cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged the appliance should be scrapped. Please consult a specialist electrician if you discover any dam-
age or problems with the device, or for the performance of
repairs to the device. Never open any of the electrical equipment or insert any ob-
jects into it. Such interventions represent the danger of death
from electric shock.
10 GB/IE
It is essential that the device does not come into contact with
water or other liquids. Protect the power supply cable from sharp edges,
mechanical strain and hot surfaces. Never touch the mains plug 3 with moist or wet hands. If the lamp is not to be used for an extended period, e.g.
while you are away on holiday, then the mains plug must be
pulled out of the mains socket. The bulb becomes hot during operation. Allow the lamp and
bulb to cool before you touch them. CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! Never
use bulbs with a wattage of more than 7 W. Do not allow any objects to cover the light. Fire can result
from the development of too much heat. Ensure the lamp has been switched off and allowed to cool
before you touch it. Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat. Do not use this light for dimmers or electronic switches. CAUTION! RISK OF SHEARING OR CRUSH-
ING INJURY! A large force is required to attach the lamp. This could result in a risk of shearing or
crushing injury through trapping parts of your body.

Bringing into use
Attach the lamp in the desired position by means of the clamp 5. Use the ON / OFF switch 4 to switch the lamp on or off. Bend the lamp shade 1 by dint of the hinge 6 to bring the
lamp into the desired position.
Note: The lamp shade can be moved horizontally for 315°
and vertically for approx. 90° (see Fig. B).
Maintenance and Cleaning
Changing the bulb
Only use fluorescent spots with GU10 fitting and a rated
voltage of 230 V∼ and a max wattage of 7 W. Before changing the bulb, switch off the lamp and remove the
mains plug from the socket. If necessary, let the existing bulb
cool down for 15 minutes. Remove the old bulb from the socket by turning it anticlockwise
for 90° and then carefully tear it out of the socket. Act contra-
riwise for fitting the new bulb (see fig. C).

Cleaning the lamp
Pull the mains plug 3 out of the mains socket. Let the bulb
cool down for at least 15 minutes.
CAUTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! For electri-
cal safety reasons do not clean the lamp with water or other
liquids and never immerse it in water. Do not use any solvents, petrol or similar. This would cause
damage to the light. Always use a dry fluff-free cloth for cleaning the device.
