Introduction
These operating instructions form a part of this product. They
contain important information on safety, use and disposal.
Make yourself familiar with all the operating instructions and safety advice for the product before use. Use the product only as described and for the indicated purpose. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it. Check that the correct mains voltage is available and that all the parts have been properly assembled before bringing into use.
Proper use
This lamp is designed for use indoors only, in dry and enclosed rooms. This product is intended for use in a private, domestic environment only. Other uses or modification of the product shall be considered as improper use and could lead to injury or damage. The manufacturer accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from improper use.

To avoid danger to life from electric shock
Before connecting the lamp to the mains, always check it and the
mains lead / plug discover that it is damaged in any way.
If the external flexible lead of this lamp becomes damaged, avoid
danger and have it replaced by the manufacturer, his servicing agent or an equivalent electrical appliance repair specialist.

Safety advice
CAUTION! A damaged mains lead presents a serious
danger to life from electric shock. In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the lamp, please contact
the Service Centre or an electrician.
Never let the lamp come into contact with water or other liquids. Never open any electrical devices such as switches, fittings etc. or
allow any object to be inserted into them. This sort of interference can lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.
Touch only the insulated part of the plug when connecting to or
disconnecting from the mains supply.
Before installation ensure that the available mains voltag e agrees
with the operating voltage required for the lamp (230–240 V ∼).
To avoid danger of fire and injury
DANGER OF INJURY! Check all bulbs and shades for damage
immediately after unpacking. Do not fit a defective shade into the lamp. In this event contact the Service Centre for a replacement.
DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure the lamp has been switched off
and allowed to cool before you touch it. In this way you will avoid the danger of burns. Light bulbs develop a great deal of heat.
Replace defective bulbs immediately. Before replacing the bulb,
always remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Allow the lamp to cool for at least 15 minutes before replacing a
defective bulb.
Do not allow any objects to cover the lamp. Fire can result from
the development of too much heat.
DANGER OF FIRE! Always ensure that there is at

least 0.2 m clear distance between the lamp and other items of furniture or furnishings.

Safety advice / Operation
Position the lamp so that it is protected from moisture and dirt. Never leave the lamp operating unattended. Use the above-indicated bulbs only.
Operation
Using the lamp
Always ensure that there is at least 20 cm clear distance between
the lamp and other items of furniture or furnishings.
Unwind the mains cable 4 completely before use. Insert the mains plug 4 into the socket. Set the lamp head 1 to the desired height with the telescopic arm 5. Set the lamp head 1 in the desired position with the adjustment

CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! If the lamp is switched on,
adjust the lamp head not touch the lamp head when the lamp is switched on.
Set the ON / OFF switch 3 into position I to switch on the device. Set the ON / OFF switch 3 into position 0 to switch off the device.

Note: To do this you will require a crosshead screwdriver.
Allow the bulb 8 to cool down completely.
Note: Ensure that the lamp shade

Screw out the screws 6 in the direction and completely
remove all the glass-retainers.
Remove the lamp shade 7. Draw the defective bulb 8 out of the socket. Use a clean, fluff-free cloth when you are replacing a bulb. Then insert a new bulb (max. 20 W) into the socket.
Note: Ensure that the pins are correctly engaged in the socket.
Place the lamp shade 7 back into the recess. Screw in the screws 6 in the direction .
Note: Ensure that the brackets of the glass-retainers rest properly
against the lamp shade

Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like as they could
damage the lamp.
For electrical safety reasons, never clean the lamp with water or
other fluids or immerse it in water. Use a dry, fluff-free cloth for cleaning.

Disposal / Information
Disposal
The packaging consists entirely of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.
The symbol of the wheelie bin with a cross through It means that, in the European Union, the product has to be disposed
of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Products marked in this way may not be disposed of with normal domestic waste but have to be handed in at a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and to ease the burden on the environment.

Within the warranty period we shall rectify without charge all material and manufacturing defects. In the event of a defect arising during the warranty period, please send the device to the listed Service Centre address, making reference to the following article number: 7596-010L, 7596-014L, 7596-015L. Wear parts (such as bulbs) and damage caused by improper handling, non-observance of the operating instructions or unauthorised interference are excluded from the warranty.
