Q Proper use

This light is suitable only for interior use, in dry and enclosed spaces. The light can be fitted to all normally inflammable surfaces. This lamp is intended for use only in a domestic environment.

To avoid danger to life from electric shock

JEnsure that a qualified electrician or a person trained to carry out electrical installations performs the electrical installation.

JEvery time before connecting the lamp the mains, check it and the mains lead for damage. Never

use your light if you find it is damaged in any way.

mCAUTION! A damaged mains lead presents a serious danger to life from electric shock. In the event of damage, repairs or other problems with the lamp please contact the service centre

or an electrician.

JBefore installation, remove the fuse for this circuit or switch off at the circuit breaker (0 setting) in the fuse box.

JBefore assembly, ensure that the mains voltage available corresponds to the operating voltage necessary of the light (230 - 240 V ~).

JNever let the lamp come into contact with water or other liquids.

JNever open or insert anything into electrical fittings or equipment. Doing this sort of thing can lead to a serious danger to life from electric shock.

JDo not install the lamp on a moist and conductive surface!

To avoid danger of fire and injury

mRISK OF INJURY! Check every bulb and lampshade for damage immediately upon unpacking.

JDo not fit the light if the bulbs and / or lampshades are faulty. If they are, contact the service point for a replacement.

JRISK OF INJURY FROM BURNS!

Ensure the lamp has been switched off and allowed to cool before you touch it. In this way you will avoid the danger

of burns. Bulbs give off a lot of heat around the top of the lamp.

JAllow the lamp to cool down completely.

Safety / Preparation

JReplace any faulty bulbs with new ones immediately. Before replacing the bulb, always remove the fuse or switch the automatic cutout off.

JDo not allow the lamp or the packaging materials to lie around unattended. Plastic film or bags, Styrofoam etc. can turn into dangerous toys for children.

Working safely

JUse 230 volt ~ energy-saving bulbs with an E14 fitting and a maximum power output of 9 watt only.

JFit the light in such a way to ensure it is protected from damp and dirt.

JMake careful preparations for the assembly and take sufficient time. Clearly lay out all components and any additional tools or materials that might be required so that they are readily to hand.

JRemain alert at all times and always watch what you are doing. Always proceed with caution and do not assemble the lamp if you cannot concentrate or feel unwell.

Before installation / Installation / Preparing the product for use

Q Before installation

Important: The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician or someone trained to perform electrical installations. This person must be familiar with the features of the light and the connection requirements.

jFamiliarise yourself with all instructions and diagrams in this manual as well as with the light before installation.

jBefore installation, ensure that the cable that the light is to be attached to is not live. Remove its fuse or switch off the automatic cutout in the fuse box (0 position).

jUse the voltage tester to check that there is no voltage.

QInstallation

QFitting the light

jRemove the screws 2 visible on the side of the terminal housing 6 and take the installation

frame 1 on the back off (see diagram).

jMark the boreholes using the slotted holes provided for the screws in the installation frame 1 .

jNow drill the screw holes (approx. 6 mm, depth approx. 40 mm). Ensure that the feed cable is not damaged.

jInsert the dowels into the drilled holes. Fasten the mounting bracket 1 in place with the supplied screws.

jConnect the light’s connection cable to the

mains connection cable 3 using the insulating screw joint 4 (see diagram).

jEnsure that the cables have been connected in line with the correct colour coding.

jNow connect the earthed conductor (greenyellow) to the earth terminal labelled in the

terminal housing 6 (see diagram).

jScrew the light onto the installation frame 1 using the screws 2 .

jBend the flexible arm 7 to achieve the desired direction.

jMark the fixing holes for the ceiling brackets 11. Note that the drilled holes are always between two spots 8 (see Fig.). This achieves a more secure fastening.

jDrill the fixing holes (Ø approx. 6 mm, depth approx. 40 mm) for the ceiling brackets 11.

jInsert the dowels into the drilled holes. Fasten the ceiling brackets 11 in place with the supplied screws.

jScrew the ceiling bracket clips 10 into the ceiling brackets 11.

jClamp the flexible arms 7 into the ceiling bracket clips 10.

jPlace the lamp glass 13 carefully over the fitting 12 and fasten it in place by tightening the threaded ring 14 using the supplied tool 15.

jUse a clean, fluff-free cloth when you are replacing a bulb 16.

jRotate the bulb 16 carefully clockwise into the fitting.

Check that the bulb is correctly seated.

Your light is now ready for operation.

Q Directing the light

jNever change the direction of the light while it is switched on.

jAllow the light to cool completely.

jTurn the individual spots 8 at their bases in the desired direction. The spots 8 can be turned through approx. 270°.

QPreparing the product for use

QInserting / replacing batteries

jRelease the screw from the battery compartment of the remote control handset 9 (rear side) by unscrewing it with a Phillips screwdriver in the direction.

jRemove the used battery, if present.

jInsert a new battery into the battery compartment. Use batteries type 23 A, 12 V  only.

Preparing the product for use / Maintenance and Cleaning / Disposal

Note: Make sure you fit the battery the right way round (polarity). The correct polarity is shown inside the battery compartment.

jClose the battery compartment of the remote control handset 9 (rear side) by screwing the screw in with a Phillips screwdriver in the direction.

Q Switching the light on / off

You have the choice of operating the light from an ordinary wall switch or switching it on and off using the supplied remote control unit.

Switching the light on / off using the remote control handset:

– The wall switch is in the normal position (OFF).

jPress the wall switch (ON).

jPress the ON button of the remote control

handset 9 to switch on the light.

jPress the OFF button of the remote control handset 9 to switch off the light.

Switching the light on/off using the wall switch:

– The wall switch is in the normal position (OFF).

jSwitch the light off by pressing the wall switch several times (2 - 3 switching cycles). The light can then be switched off via the wall switch or the remote control 9 .

Trouble shooting: Should the remote control 9 not react after the light has been switched on, first press the wall switch in order to switch the light off. Then wait for around 15 - 20 seconds and repeat point 2 in the section called “Switching the light on / off using the wall switch”. Should the remote control 9 still not react after the light has been switched on again, please check the batteries of the remote control 9 .

Q Replacing a bulb

c CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

When changing the bulbs, first disconnect the light from the mains supply. Remove its fuse or switch off the automatic cutout in the fuse box (0 position).

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Allow the light to cool completely.

jReplace the bulb 16 only after it has fully cooled.

jRotate the defective bulb 16 carefully anticlockwise out of the fitting 12.

jUse a clean, fluff-free cloth when you are replacing a bulb.

jUse 230 volt ~ energy-saving bulbs with an E14 fitting and a maximum power output of 9 watt only.

jRotate the new bulb 16 clockwise into the fitting. Check that the bulb is correctly seated.

Q Maintenance and Cleaning

cCAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Before cleaning the lamp make sure that it is isolated from the mains supply. Remove its fuse or switch off the automatic cutout in the fuse box (0 position).

cCAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

For electrical safety reasons, never clean the light with water or other fluids or immerse it in water.

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Allow the light to cool completely.

jUse a dry, fluff-free cloth for cleaning.

jDo not use any solvents, petrol or similar. This would cause damage to the light.

Q Disposal

The packaging and ancillary packing consist entirely of environmentally-friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

Disposal / Information

The symbol of the wheelie bin with the

line through it means that, in the European Union, the product has to be disposed

of in a separate refuse collection. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Products marked in this way may not be disposed of along with normal domestic waste but have to be handed in at a recycling collection point for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and to ease the burden on the environment.

Batteries must not be disposed of as household refuse! Advice is available from your local council. Return the batteries and / or the device through the appropriate collection facilities.

mOSTROŻNIE! Uszkodzone kable sieciowe oznaczają zagrożenie życia wskutek porażenia prądem elektrycznym. W przypadku uszkodzeń, napraw lub innych problemów z oprawą oświetleniową należy zwrócić się do punktu

serwisowego lub fachowca-elektryka.

JPrzed montażem usuń bezpiecznik lub wyłącz wyłącznik ochronny linii w skrzynce bezpiecznikowej (położenie 0).

JPrzed montażem należy upewnić się, że istniejące napięcie sieci jest zgodne z wymaganym napięciem roboczym oprawy oświetleniowej (230 - 240 V ~).

JNależy bezwzględnie unikać kontaktu oprawy oświetleniowej z wodą lub innymi cieczami.

Bezpieczeństwo

JNigdy nie należy otwierać żadnej elektrycznej części roboczej lub wtykać do niej jakichkolwiek przedmiotów. Tego rodzaju ingerencje oznaczają zagrożenie życia wskutek porażenia prądem elektryczny.

JLampy nie należy instalować na wilgotnej lub przewodzącej powierzchni!

mZAGROŻENIE OBRAŻENIAMI CIAŁA!

Bezpośrednio po wypakowaniu należy skontrolować każde źródło światła i klosz

pod względem uszkodzeń.

JProszę nie montować oprawy oświetleniowej z uszkodzonymi źródłami światła i / lub kloszami. W takim przypadku w celu otrzymania części zamiennej należy skontaktować się z punktem serwisowym.

JZAGROŻENIE OPARZENIEM!

Aby uniknąć oparzenia należy upewnić się przed dotknięciem lampy,

że jest ona wyłączona i ochłodzona. Źródła światła wytwarzają w obrębie głowicy lampy silne gorąco.

JLampa musi się zupełnie ochłodzić.

JUszkodzone źródła światła należy natychmiast wymienić na nowe. Przed wymianą źródła światła należy zawsze usunąć najpierw bezpiecznik lub wyłączyć wyłącznik zabezpieczenia linii.

J ZAGROŻENIE POŻAROWE!

0,5 m Oprawę oświetleniową należy za- montować w odległości co najmniej

0,5 m od oświetlanych przez nią materiałów. Nadmierne wytwarzanie ciepła może prowadzić do powstania pożaru.

JNie pozostawiać lampy lub materiału opakowaniowego w nieładzie. Folie / woreczki plastykowe, części plastykowe itp. mogą stać się niebezpieczną zabawką dla dzieci.

Sposób prawidłowego postępowania

JProszę stosować jedynie żarόwki 230 V energooszczędne o podstawie E14 oraz o maksymalnej wydajności 9 W.

JOprawę oświetleniową należy zamontować w taki sposób, żeby była chroniona przed wilgocią

izanieczyszczeniem.

JProszę starannie przygotować montaż i zarezerwować sobie wystarczającą ilość czasu. Wszystkie pojedyncze części oraz dodatkowo potrzebne narzędzia należy uprzednio rozłożyć

wprzejrzysty sposób i w zasięgu ręki.

JProszę stale uważać i zawsze zwracać uwagę na swoje zachowanie. Proszę postępować rozsądnie i nie montować lampy w przypadku dekoncentracji lub złego samopoczucia.
