Safety

Intended use

Silamat S6 is a universal mixer for amalgam, glass ionomer cements and other predosed dental materials in capsules and syringes.

The apparatus has been developed solely for use in dentistry. Liability cannot be accepted for damage resulting from misuse or failure to observe the Operating Instructions. The user is responsible for testing the Silamat S6 for its use and suitability for the intended purposes. The intended use also includes the observation of the notes and regulations in these Operating Instructions.

The Silamat S6 has been shipped from the manufacturer in a safe and technically sound condition. The apparatus is built according to IEC 61010-1 (EN 61010-1) and EMV regulations. It complies with the relevant EU regulations and was certified to be technically safe by TÜV Product Service as internationally accredited testing body.

Operating voltage

Before you switch on the device, make sure that the voltage mentioned on the rating plate complies with your local power supply.

Location

Place the Silamat S6 in a place where optimum ventilation is ensured. The apparatus should neither be exposed to direct sunlight nor placed in the immediate vicinity of heaters. The Silamat S6 is only suitable for use indoors.

Dental materials used

The corresponding instructions for use of the material suppliers have to be observed.

If an amalgam capsule is leaking, the mercury has to be removed immediately. Mercury vapours represent an immediate health hazard. Pick up spillages of mercury with a reinforced paper (e.g. cardboard) or a plastic syringe and dispose in the hazardous waste in a closed container. Do not inhale vapours.

Switch the apparatus into stand-by mode.

Assumption of impaired safety

If it has to be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the power must be disconnected to avoid accidental operation. This may be the case, for example, if the apparatus is visibly damaged or no longer works correctly. A complete disconnection from the power supply is only ensured when the power cord is disconnected from the power source.

1.Connect the power cord with the socket at the rear of the apparatus and subsequently with the mains socket.

2.Switch on the apparatus at the rear.

3.Raise the safety cover.

4.Place the mixing capsule in the mixing fork.

5.Close safety cover. For safety reasons, the apparatus can only be operated if the safety cover is closed. If the safety cover is opened during the mixing process, the motor stops automatically.

6.Selecting the mixing time: The mixing time can be set between 1 and 30 seconds. In general a mixing time of 10 seconds can be used (unless other mixing times are recommended by the material supplier in the instructions for use). By default, the Silamat S6 was set to 10 seconds. The last used mixing time remains stored even if the apparatus had been switched off in the meantime.

7.Press “Start” key. Once the set mixing time has been completed, the mixer stops automatically and

the capsule can be removed.

If you wish to terminate the mixing process prematurely, open the safety cover.

Cleaning

Switch off the apparatus by disconnecting the mains cord.

Clean housing, keypad and safety cover with a soft cloth and customary aldehyde-free disinfecting solution. Do not clean with highly aggressive

disinfecting solutions (e.g. solutions based on orange oil or with an ethanol content of more than 50%), solvents (e.g. acetone), or pointed instruments, which may damage or scratch the plastic. Make sure that no disinfectant, other liquid or foreign object enters the apparatus. The safety cover may be removed for cleaning by entirely opening the cover and carefully pulling it off to the back at the same time.

Warranty and repair

The warranty for the Silamat S6 is three years from the date of purchase. Malfunctions resulting from faulty material or manufacturing errors are repaired free of charge during the warranty period. For that purpose, the apparatus has to be sent C+F in the original packaging to the dealer or directly to Ivoclar Vivadent AG together with the corresponding receipt. Damages resulting from wear, transportation or incorrect start-up and improper use are not covered by the warranty.

Repair work may only be carried out by a certified Ivoclar Vivadent Service Center. Use only original spare parts.

Switch off apparatus

1. To switch off the apparatus, remove the power cord from the socket of the apparatus or the mains socket.

2. The switch on the rear side is only used to turn off the operability of the apparatus.

Disposal

The apparatus must not be disposed in the normal domestic waste. Dispose of old apparatus according to the corresponding legal requirements in your country.

Bestimmungsgemässer Gebrauch

Der Silamat S6 ist ein Universalmischgerät für Amalgam, Glasionomerzemente und andere vordosierte Dentalwerkstoffe in Kapseln und Spritzkapseln.

Das Gerät wurde für den Einsatz im Dentalbereich entwickelt. Für Schäden, die sich aus einer nicht bestimmungsgemässen Verwendung oder nicht sachgemässen Handhabung ergeben, übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung. Darüber hinaus ist der Benutzer verpflichtet, den Silamat S6 eigenverantwortlich vor Gebrauch auf Eignung und Einsetzbarkeit für die vorgesehenen Zwecke zu prüfen. Zum bestimmungsgemässen Gebrauch gehört auch die Beachtung der Hinweise der vorliegenden Bedienungsanleitung.

Der Silamat S6 hat das Werk in sicherem und technisch einwandfreiem Zustand verlassen. Das Gerät ist nach der IEC 61010-1 (EN 61010-1) und der EMV-Richtlinie gebaut. Es erfüllt die geltenden EU-Richtlinien und wurde vom TÜV Product Service als international akkreditierte Prüfstelle auf technische Sicherheit überprüft.

Trennung vom Versorgungsnetz ist nur bei aus der Steckdose gezogenem Netzkabel gewährleistet.

Betriebsspannung

Vor dem Einschalten ist sicherzustellen, dass die angegebene Spannung des Typenschildes mit der des Versorgungsnetzes übereinstimmt.

Standort

Der Silamat S6 ist so aufstellen, dass eine einwandfreie Belüftung gewährleistet ist. Das Gerät nicht direkter Sonnenbestrahlung aussetzen und die unmittelbare Nähe von Heizgeräten meiden. Der Silamat S6 ist nur für den Einsatz in Innenräumen geeignet.

Verwendete Dentalwerkstoffe

Die Gebrauchsinformation der Materialhersteller muss unbedingt beachtet werden.

Sollte eine Amalgamkapsel undicht sein, muss das Quecksilber sofort entfernt werden. Quecksilberdämpfe stellen eine unmittelbare Gefahr für die Gesundheit dar. Verschüttetes Quecksilber mit einem verstärkten Papier (z.B. Karton) oder einer Kunststoffspritze aufnehmen und in einem verschlossenen Behälter zur Sondermüllentsorgung geben. Das Einatmen der Dämpfe muss vermieden werden.

Wenn anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb nicht mehr möglich ist, so ist das Gerät von der Netzspannung zu trennen und gegen unabsichtlichen Gebrauch zu sichern. Dies kann z.B. bei sichtbarer Beschädigung oder eingeschränktem Betrieb der Fall sein. Eine vollständige

1.Das Netzkabel auf der Geräterückseite mit der Gerätesteckdose und anschliessend mit der Netzsteckdose verbinden.

2.Gerät auf der Rückseite einschalten.

3.Schutzhaube hochklappen.

4.Einsetzen der Mischkapsel in die Mischgabel.

5. Schutzhaube schliessen. Aus Sicherheitsgründen kann das Gerät nur bei geschlossener Schutzhaube betrieben werden. Wird die Schutzhaube während des Mischvorganges geöffnet, stoppt der Motor automatisch.

6. Auswahl der Mischprogrammzeit: Die Mischzeit kann beim Silamat S6 zwischen

1 – 30 Sekunden gewählt werden. Generell kann eine Mischzeit von

10 Sekunden verwendet werden (ausser es werden vom Materialhersteller in der Gebrauchsinformation andere Mischzeiten empfohlen.) Standardmässig wurde der Silamat S6 auf 10 Sekunden eingestellt. Die zuletzt verwendete Mischzeit bleibt gespeichert, auch wenn das Gerät in der Zwischenzeit ausgeschaltet wurde.

7. Starttaste drücken. Mischzeit stoppt der Mischer automatisch und die Kapsel kann entnommen werden. Wünscht man einen vorherigen Abbruch des Mischvorganges, muss die Schutzhaube geöffnet werden.

Gerät Ausschalten

1. Um das Gerät auszuschalten, muss das Netzkabel aus der Gerätesteckdose oder dem Netzsteckdose entfernt werden.

2. Mittels dem Schalter auf der Rückseite wird nur die Funktionsfähigkeit des Gerätes ausgeschaltet.

Reinigung

Bei Reinigung den Netzschalter ausschalten und den Netzstecker ziehen. Gehäuse, Tastatur und Schutzhaube mit einem weichen Tuch und aldehydfreien handelsüblichen Desinfektionsmitteln abwischen. Keine hochaggressi-

ven Desinfektionslösungen (z.B. Lösungen auf Basis von Orangenöl oder Lösungen mit einem Ethanolanteil von über 50 %), Lösungsmittel (z.B. Aceton) oder spitze Gegenstände verwenden, die den Kunststoff angreifen oder verkratzen können. Es dürfen keine Desinfektionsmittel, andere Flüssigkeiten oder Fremdmaterialien in das Innere des Gerätes eindringen! Die Schutzhaube kann zur Reinigung abgenommen werden, indem die Abdeckung vollständig geöffnet und mit beiden Händen gleichzeitig vorsichtig nach hinten weg gezogen wird.

Garantie und Reparatur

Die Garantie für den Silamat S6 beträgt 3 Jahre ab Kaufdatum. Bei auftretenden Störungen, die durch Materialund Herstellungsfehler verursacht sind, wird das Gerät kostenlos repariert. Hierzu muss das Gerät in Originalverpackung zusammen mit dem Kaufbeleg frachtfrei an das Lieferdepot oder direkt an die Ivoclar Vivadent AG geschickt werden. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden, welche durch normale Abnützung, Transport, oder durch falsche Inbetriebnahme bzw. unsachgemässe Verwendung verursacht worden sind.

Sämtliche Reparaturarbeiten dürfen nur von einer qualifizierten Ivoclar Vivadent Servicestelle durchgeführt werden. Es dürfen nur Originalteile verwendet werden!

Entsorgung

Das Gerät darf nicht über den normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die jeweiligen nationalen gesetzlichen Bestimmungen müssen beachtet werden.

Conditions de sécurité

Si un usage en toute sécurité ne peut être garanti, l'appareil doit être débranché afin d'éviter tout fonctionnement accidentel. Ceci peut être le cas, si l'appareil est visiblement endommagé ou ne fonctionne plus correctement. La déconnexion complète n'est assurée que lorsque le cordon d'alimentation est débranché.

Voltage

Avant la mise en marche, assurez-vous que le voltage indiqué sur la base est conforme à l'énergie délivrée par l'alimentation électrique.

Emplacement

Placer le Silamat S6 dans un endroit permettant une ventilation constante de l'appareil. Eviter d’exposer l’appareil au rayonnement solaire direct et de l’installer à proximité immédiate de sources de chaleur. Le Silamat S6 est destiné à un usage en intérieur uniquement.

Utilisation des matériaux dentaires

Respecter les modes d'emplois des fabricants des matériaux utilisés.

Si une capsule d'amalgame fuit, éliminer immédiatement le mercure. Les vapeurs de mercure sont très dangereuses pour la santé. Ramasser le mercure à l'aide d'un papier renforcé (par exemple du carton) ou une seringue en plastique et jeter ces déchets dangereux dans un conteneur fermé. Ne pas inhaler les vapeurs !

Utilisation

Mise en marche

1. Brancher la prise femelle du câble d'alimentation à l'arrière de l'appareil, puis le relier au secteur.

2. Actionner l'interrupteur situé à l'arrière de l'appareil.

3. Soulever le capot de protection.

4. Placer la capsule dans la fourchette de malaxage.

5. Refermer le capot de protection.

Pour des raisons de sécurité, l'appareil ne fonctionne que lorsque le capot de protection est fermé. L'ouverture du capot pendant le malaxage coupe le circuit, entraînant l'arrêt automatique du moteur.

6. Sélectionner le temps de malaxage : il peut être fixé de 1 à 30 secondes. En général, un temps de malaxage de 10 secondes est suffisant (sauf si d'autres temps de malaxage sont recommandés dans le mode d'emploi du matériau par le fabricant). Par défaut, un temps de malaxage de 10 secondes est préenregistré sur le Silamat S6. Le dernier temps de malaxage utilisé reste mémorisé même si l'appareil a été mis hors tension.

7. Appuyer sur la touche “Start”. Dès la fin du temps de malaxage programmé, l'appareil s'arrête automatiquement et la capsule peut être retirée. L'appareil n'étant pas doté de touche "Stop", le malaxage peut être arrêté par l'ouverture du capot.

Eteindre l'appareil

1. Pour éteindre l'appareil, débrancher le cordon d'alimentation de l'appareil ou de la prise de courant.

2. Le bouton situé à l'arrière de l'appareil ne sert qu'à éteindre l'appareil sans couper l'alimentation.

Nettoyage

Débrancher le cordon d'alimentation. Nettoyer la carrosserie, le clavier et le capot de protection avec un chiffon doux et une solution désinfectante habituelle sans aldéhyde. Ne pas utiliser de

solutions désinfectantes acides (ex. solutions à base d'huile d'orange ou contenant de l'éthanol à plus de 50%), des solvants (ex. acétone), ou des instruments pointus, qui peuvent abîmer ou rayer le plastique. Assu- rez-vous qu'aucun désinfectant, tout autre liquide ou objet étranger n'entre dans l'appareil. Le capot de sécurité peut être retiré pour être nettoyé entièrement : ouvrir le capot et le tirer délicatement vers l'arrière.

Garantie et réparation

Le Silamat S6 est garanti 3 ans à partir de la date d'a- chat. Des pannes dûes à un matériel défectueux ou à des vices de fabrication sont réparées gratuitement pendant la durée de la garantie. Pour cela, l'appareil doit être envoyé dans l'emballage d'origine, franco de port, au dépôt ou directement à la société Ivoclar Vivadent SAS. Chaque prestation de garantie présume que l'appareil est envoyé accompagné de la facture d'achat. La garantie ne couvre pas les dommages liés à l'usure, le transport ou la mauvaise utilisation de l'appareil.

Les travaux de réparations ne doivent être effectués que par un service certifié par le service après-vente Ivoclar Vivadent. N'utiliser que des pièces détachées d'origine.

Traitement des déchets

Ne pas jeter l'appareil avec les ordures ménagères. Le recyclage de l'appareil doit se faire conformément à la réglementation et aux dispositions nationales.

L’apparecchio è destinato a un uso esclusivamente dentale. Il produttore non è responsabile per danni derivanti da un uso improprio dello strumento o dal mancato rispetto delle istruzioni d’uso. È responsabilità dell’utilizzatore provare l’apparecchio prima dell’impiego per verificare l’idoneità e l’utilizzabilità dello stesso per gli scopi preposti. Il corretto uso di Silamat S6 prevede inoltre il rispetto delle avvertenze e norme contenute nelle presenti istruzioni d’uso.

Silamat S6 è stato consegnato dal produttore in perfette condizioni di sicurezza e funzionamento. L’apparecchio è stato realizzato secondo direttive IEC 61010-1 (EN 61010-1) e EMC. Esso è conforme alle relative disposizioni dettate in materia dalle normative UE e ha ottenuto la certificazione di sicurezza tecnica dall’ente internazionale di certificazione TÜV Product Service.

Osservare le Istruzioni d’uso

Non utilizzare l’apparecchio in prossimità di sostanze infiammabili o combustibili.

Doppio isolamento (Apparecchio conforme alla Classe II di sicurezza)

Portare l’apparecchio in funzione Stand-by

visibilmente danneggiato o non funziona più correttamente. L’apparecchio è completamente scollegato dalla rete elettrica solo quando il cavo di alimentazione elettrica viene staccato dalla presa di corrente.

Voltaggio operativo

Prima di accendere l’apparecchio, assicurarsi che il voltaggio indicato sulla targhetta di alimentazione dell’apparecchio corrisponda al voltaggio della rete elettrica locale.

Collocazione

Posizionare Silamat S6 in un luogo che garantisca un’aereazione ottimale. Non esporre l’apparecchio alla luce diretta del sole o in prossimità di fonti di calore. Utilizzare Silamat S6 esclusivamente in locali interni.

Materiali dentali utilizzati

Attenersi alle istruzioni d’uso del materiale dentale utilizzato. In caso una capsula contenente amalgama non dovesse essere ermeticamente sigillata, provvedere all’immediata rimozione del mercurio, in quanto i vapori di mercurio costituiscono un rischio immediato e serio alla salute. Raccogliere le perdite di mercurio con carta rinforzata (p.e. cartoncino) o una siringa di plastica e smaltire il tutto come rifiuto pericoloso, in un contenitore sigillato. Non inalare i vapori.

Operazioni d’uso

Avviamento

1. Collegare il cavo di alimentazione elettrica nella presa posta sul retro dell’apparecchio e poi alla presa di corrente elettrica.

2. Accendere l’apparecchio azionando il tasto sul retro del miscelatore.

3. Sollevare la cuffia di protezione.

Quando non è più possibile operare in condizioni di sufficiente sicurezza

Qualora si riconosca che non è più possibile operare con l’apparecchio in condizioni di sufficiente sicurezza, scollegarlo dalla rete elettrica per evitare un’accidentale accensione dello stesso. Condizioni d’insicurezza operativa possono presentarsi per esempio quando il miscelatore è

4.Collocare la capsula di miscelazione nella forcella.

5. Chiudere la cuffia di protezione.

Per ragioni di sicurezza, l’apparecchio può essere attivato esclusivamente con cuffia di protezione chiusa. Aprendo la cuffia di protezione durante la miscelazione, questa viene automaticamente interrotta.

6. Selezionare il tempo di miscelazione, che nel Silamat S6 è impostabile da 1 a 30 secondi. Di norma si utilizza un tempo di miscelazione di 10 secondi (salvo diversa specifica nelle istruzioni d’uso del materiale utilizzato). Silamat S6 è stato preimpostato con un tempo di miscelazione di 10 secondi. L’ultimo tempo di miscelazione utilizzato rimane in memoria anche quando l’apparecchio nel frattempo è stato spento.

7. Premere il tasto “Start”. Esaurito il tempo di miscelazione prescelto, il miscelatore si ferma automaticamente e la capsula può essere rimossa. Per interrompere il processo prima dello scadere del tempo di miscelazione impostato, sollevare la cuffia di protezione.

Spegnere l’apparecchio

1. Per spegnere l’apparecchio, é necessario staccare il cavo di rete dall’apparecchio o dalla presa di corrente.

2. L’interruttore posto sul retro del miscelatore serve soltanto per spegnere la funzione dell’apparecchio.

Pulizia

Durante la pulizia spegnere l’interruttore e staccare il cavo dalla rete. Detergere l’alloggiamento, la tastiera e la cuffia di protezione con un panno morbido e una normale soluzione disinfettante non aldeidica. Non utiliz-

zare soluzioni disinfettanti altamente aggressive (p.e. soluzioni a base di olio di arancia o con contenuto di etanolo superiore al 50%), solventi (p.e. acetone) o strumenti appuntiti che potrebbero danneggiare o graffiare la plastica. Assicurarsi che nell’apparecchio non penetrino liquidi o altre sostanze estranee. Per pulire la cuffia di protezione è possibile rimuoverla dall’alloggiamento aprendola completamente per poi poterla sfilare dal retro dell’alloggiamento.

Garanzia e riparazione

Il miscelatore Silamat S6 è coperto da garanzia per tre anni dalla data di acquisto. Durante il periodo di garanzia qualsiasi malfunzionamento risultante da materiale difettoso o errori di produzione sarà riparato gratuitamente. A tal fine, inviare l’apparecchio porto franco al rivenditore di fiducia o direttamente a Ivoclar Vivadent con acclusa la bolla di acquisto. Danni risultanti all’apparecchio da usura, trasporto, avviamento scorretto o uso improprio, non sono coperti dalla garanzia. Qualsiasi riparazione deve essere eseguita esclusivamente da un Centro Assistenza certificato Ivoclar Vivadent. Utilizzare esclusivamente parti di ricambio originali.

Smaltimento

Non smaltire l’apparecchio come normale rifiuto urbano. Per lo smaltimento dell’apparecchio fuori uso attenersi alle specifiche direttive vigenti nel proprio paese.
