WARNING:
Packaging materials are a deadly hazard for children and can cause suffocation. Remove all
packaging materials immediately and keep them away from children at all times. Swallowing batteries and/or battery fluid can be extremely dangerous. Keep the battery and scale
out of the reach of children and disabled persons. Should any person swallow a battery and/or battery fluid, please call 911 immediately. Should battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with
plenty of clean water. Please call 911 immediately. Batteries should not be charged or reactivated by any other means.
Batteries should not be taken apart, thrown in the fire or short circuited.
Do not step on the edge of the scale (e.g. when getting on or off), otherwise it may tip.
Do not jump on the scale.
Protect the scale against hard knocks, temperature fluctuations and heat sources which are too
close (e.g. stoves, heating radiators). Do not drop the scale or drop any objects on it.
Do not step or stand on the scale when your body and/or feet are wet, for example after taking
a bath or shower. There is a danger of slipping. Do not step on the scale when its surface is wet. There is a danger of slipping.
Do not use the unit on slippery surfaces such as wet floors. There is a danger of slipping.
This product does not and is not intended to provide a medical diagnosis. For medical advice
please contact a licensed physician. If you have an emergency please call 911 immediately. Consult your physician or healthcare provider before beginning a weight reduction or exercise
program. Always consult your physician to determine what will be suitable for you.
Make sure that you enter the desired unit of mass regarding the weight results.

CAUTION:
This unit is intended for home use only. It is not intended for professional use in hospitals or other
medical facilities. This unit does not support the standards required for professional use. Please note that technically related measuring tolerances are possible, as the scale is not cali-
brated for professional medical applications. If a battery has leaked do not touch the battery fluid. Avoid skin contact (e.g. put on protective
gloves) and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth. Carefully step on the scale surface. Pay attention to avoid stepping with your toes under the scale
surface. This might lead to injuries. Do not disassemble this unit. You could get injured.
Do not put your fingers in any slot, inside or under the scale.
NOTICE:

to clean the device. Never immerse and or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter
the scale and cause damage. Do not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
Always use the size and type of batteries indicated.
Never use different types of batteries, battery brands or batteries with different capacities.
Never use rechargeable batteries. This may damage the unit.
Always replace all batteries at the same time and use batteries of the same type.
Replace weak batteries before they discharge completely. When “Lo” appears in the display
please change the batteries. Leaking batteries may damage the device. If you do not intend to use the scale for longer periods,
remove the batteries from the battery compartment before placing the device in storage. To avoid draining the batteries do not place any items on the scale (Please make sure that there
is no weight on the feet of the scale) when not in use. Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to the environment. Always dispose of batteries in
accordance with applicable local regulations. Do not dispose of batteries with normal house­hold waste. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with
local regulations. Do not step on the scale if you weigh more than 400 lb (180 kg / 28 st). This may damage the unit.

Do not use mobile telephones, microwaves, and other devices which generate strong electrical
or electromagnetic fields near the unit. This may result in incorrect operation of the unit. Never attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and impair
the functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service. Please see warranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and replace them if necessary. Changes or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.

3. Interesting facts
3.1 Weighing correctly
Place the scale on a hard, plane level floor (no carpet); a firm floor covering is required for correct measure-
• ment. If possible, always weigh yourself at the same time of day (preferably in the morning) striving for comparable
• conditions such as after using the toilet, on an empty stomach and unclothed, in order to achieve compa­rable results. Stand still and upright during measurement.
3.2 General notes

he capacity of the scale is 400 lb (180 kg / 28 st).
The results are shown in 0.2 lb increments (100 g / 0 st :1 lb).
• On delivery the scale is set to the unit “lb”. A switch located on the back of the scale enables you to change
• to “kg” or “st”.
Measuring units
lb pound kg kilogram: the base unit of mass in the international System of Units. st stone: only for countries where British English is spoken.

WARNING:

out of the reach of children and disabled persons. Should any person swallow a battery and/or battery fluid, please call 911 immediately. Should battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with
plenty of clean water. Please call 911 immediately. Batteries should not be charged or reactivated by any other means.

If present, remove the battery insulating strip or remove the battery’s protective film and insert the batteries according to the polarity. If the scale fails to operate, remove the batteries completely and reinsert them. Replace the battery cover carefully.
New batteries will last for approximately 2 years if the unit is used three times per day. Trial batteries supplied with the unit may have a shorter life. Remove batteries if you do not intend to use the scale for longer periods before placing the device in storage.
Your scale is equipped with a “replace battery” indicator. When the scale is operated with a battery that is too weak, “Lo” appears in the display field and the scale automatically switches off. The batteries must be replaced in this case (4 x 1.5 V, AAA, Micro).

Note: For first use and relocation
In order to ensure accurate results it is recommended to reset the scale to “0”.
