Instruction

This TVis providedwith interactivefunctionalitythrough a set-back box (SBB/STB) connectedtothe TV, andwith otherTVs in a computercontrolled systemforhotels and otherhospitalitybusinesses.

Interactive:Whenthe TVis powered-up initially, it sends a commandto identifythe SBB/STB; if identified,the TVswitchesto ONLINEmode andfull control isthroughthe SBB/STB.

Ifthe TVis in ONLINE mode, it stops receiving IR(Samsung remote) commands and acts accordingto interface protocol. Stand-Alone: If SBB/STB is not identified,the TVshould be switchedto STAND-ALONE modewith restricted operation.

Operational Modes

Whenthis TV(in Hotel mode) is operatedwith a SBB/STB,it is in one oftwo states :

•• ONLINE orSTAND-ALONE. Inthe STAND-ALONE state,the TVwill act as a Hotel TV,butwithout active communication. This isto prevent guestsfromtryingto cheatthe system bydisconnectingthe SBB/STB.

Still image warning

Avoid displaying still images (like jpeg picturefiles) orstill image element (like TVProgram logo, panoramaor4:3 imageformat, stock or news barat screen bottom etc.)onthe screen. Constant displaying of still picture can cause unevenwearof screen phosphor,whichwill affect image quality. To reduce risk ofthis effect, pleasefollowbelowrecommendations:

•• Avoid displayingthe same TVchannelforlong periods.

•• Alwaystrydo displayanyimage onfull screen, use TVset pictureformat menuforbest possible match.

•• Reduce brightness and contrastvaluesto minimum requiredtoachieve desired picture quality, exceededvalues mayspeed upthe burnout process.

•• Frequentlyuse all TVfeatures designedto reduce image retention and screen burnout. Refertothe relevant usermanual sectionfor details.

Securing the Installation Space

Keep required distancesbetweenthe product and otherobjects (e.g.walls)to ensure properventilation. Failingto do so mayresult infire ora problemwiththe product dueto an increase inthe internaltemperature.

Installing the LED TV Stand

The 32”andlargerLED TVs have swivel stands. You can setthese stands sothatthe TVs swivel 20 degrees left and rightor 90 degrees left and right.

Assembling the swivel (32 inch TVs or larger)

]]WARNING: Ifyou configurethe TVto swivel,you must attach itsecurelytothefloor, a desk, a dressertop, etc. as

describedinthe installation instructions.

The 32”andlargerLED TVs have swivel stands. You can configurethese stands sothatthe TVs swivel 20 degrees left and right, 60 degrees left andright, or90 degrees left and right usingthe BRACKETHOLDER SWIVEL.

¦¦20° Swivel

To configurethe TVsothat itswivels 20° leftand right, insertthe prong onthebottom ofthe standthroughthe curved hole inthe Bracket HolderSwivel marked 20°. Then,fixthe Bracket HolderSwiveltothe stand usingthethree supplied screws as shown below.

¦¦60° Swivel

Whenever you connect an external device to your TV,make sure that power on the unit is turnedoff.When connectingan external device, match the colour of the connection terminal to the cable.

1 AV IN

‒‒ Connect audio cables to "[L-AUDIO-R]" onyourTVand the otherends to corresponding audio out jacks on anA/V device.

‒‒ Connect RCA audio cables (optional) to "[L-AUDIO-R]" on the rear of the TV set and the other ends to corresponding audio out jacks onthe external device.

‒‒ When connecting to AV IN, the colour of the AV IN [Y/VIDEO] jack (Green) does not match the colourof thevideo cable (Yellow).

2 USB (5V 0.5A), USB (HDD/1.0A) / CLONING

‒‒ Connectorforsoftware upgrades and Media Play, etc. ‒‒ Service connection.

3HDMI IN / HDMI IN (ARC) / HDMI IN (DVI)

Connectstothe HDMI jack ofa devicewith an HDMI output.

Nosoundconnection is needed for an HDMI-HDMI connection. HDMI connections carry both audio and video.

Use the HDMI IN (DVI) jack for a DVI connectionto an external device. Use a DVI to HDMI cable or DVI-HDMI adapter (DVI to HDMI) forthe video connection andthe PC/DVI AUDIO IN jacks for audio.

5ANT IN (SATELLITE), (AIR/CABLE)

‒‒ To view television channels correctly, the TV must receive a signal from one of the following sources:

This port is anRJP(Remote Jack Pack) communication portthat enables connecting different devicesto additional modules to improve device use and convenience.

8PC/DVI AUDIO IN

Connectstothe audio out jack of an external DVI device using a1/8th inch stereo phone jack cable. Some DVI devices may not or should not need this connection audio.

9PC IN

Connecttothevideo output jackonyourcomputer.

Display Modes

You can also select one ofthe standard resolutions listedinthe Resolution column. The TVwill automaticallyadjusttothe resolution you choose.

AfterconnectingacomputertotheTV,setthescreenresolutionfortheTVonthecomputer. Theoptimal resolutionis1920 x1080 @ 60 Hz. Ifit is setto anyotherthan inthetable below,the TVmaydisplaynothing. Setthe resolution properly, referring to the user guide of the computer or its graphic card.

The resolutions inthetable are recommended.

Optimal resolution is 1366 X 768 @ 60 Hz.

When using an HDMI/DVI cable connection, you must use the HDMI IN (DVI) jack.

TV Controller

TVControlleris a multi directional buttonthathelps navigatewithout usingthe remote control.Some functions which require a PIN code may not be available.

The product colour and shape may vary, depending on the model.

Exits the menu when pressing the controller for more than 1 second.

When selecting the function by moving thecontroller tothe up/down/left/right directions, do not press the controller. If the controller is used first, you cannot operate it to move the up/down/left/right directions.

Inserting Batteries into Samsung Smart Control

To use Samsung Smart Control,first refertothefigure belowand insertbatteriesintothe unit.

Gentlypullonthe batterycover's notch andthen removethe covercompletelyonce it comes loose.

Insert 2AAalkaline batteries, making sureto alignthe positive andnegative polarities correctly.

¦¦Using the Samsung Smart Control

Samsung Smart Controlmakes it even easierand more convenientto usethe TV. Pressingthe KEYPAD button displays a

virtual remote control that allows you to easily enter digits, control content, and activate functions on the screen.

‒‒ We recommend using Samsung Smart Control at a distance of less than 6m.Ausable distance maydifferdepending on the wireless environmental conditions.

Pairing the Samsung Smart Control

To controlthe TVwith Samsung SmartControl,you needto pairSamsung Smart Controltothe TVviaBluetooth. Pair
