GENERAL
The Q7750A Excel 10 Zone Manager is a programmable master controller for an Excel 10 subsystem. It provides energy management functions and communication interfaces between EXCEL 5000 System products and the Excel 10 Echelon LONWORKS® network. The Q7750A provides C-Bus (9600 baud and 1M baud) and LONWORKS® (78k baud) communication interfaces. It also maps user selectable Excel 10 subsystem datapoints into C-Bus points with a full set of point attributes, including user addresses.
DESCRIPTION
The Q7750A is available in two hardware versions:
The Q7750A1005 has a twisted pair topology (TPT) LONWORKS® transceiver.
The Q7750A2003 has a free topology (FTT) LONWORKS® transceiver;
The Q7750A is delivered with operating system software on EPROMs. The Zone Manager contains all time programs, user addresses, and Excel 10 subsystem mapping information. Mapping is the term used to describe the allocation of Excel 10 subsystem data to Q7750A datapoints that are accessible from the C-Bus. This mapping process is executed using a PC-based software tool (CARE and E-Vision).
