PLEASE READ BEFORE USE AND SAVE

This unit is an additional handset for use with the KX-TCD200 Digital Cordless Phone. You must register this unit with your KX-TCD200 base unit before it can be used. Please refer to the KX-TCD200 operating instructions for further details.

Note:

•In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first instance.

Important information

General

•Use only the AC adaptor included with this product noted on page 4.

•Do not connect the AC adaptor to any AC outlet other than a standard 220240 V AC outlet.

•This product is unable to make calls when:

-The portable handset battery(ies) need recharging or have failed.

-There is a power failure.

-The key lock feature is turned on.

-The call bar feature is turned on (only phone numbers stored in the unit as emergency numbers can be called).

•Do not open the charger or handset other than to replace the battery(ies).

•This product should not be used near emergency/intensive care medical equipment and should not be used by people with pacemakers.

•Care should be taken that objects do not fall onto, and liquids are not spilled into, the unit. Do not subject this product to excessive smoke, dust, mechanical vibration or shock.

Environment

•Do not use this product near water.

•This product should be kept away from heat sources such as radiators, cookers, etc. It should also not be placed in rooms where the temperature is less than 5 °C or greater than 40 °C.

•The AC adaptor is used as the main disconnect device. Ensure that the AC outlet is installed near the unit and is easily accessible.

Warning:

•To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not expose this product to rain or any other type of moisture

•Unplug this unit from power outlets if it emits smoke, an abnormal smell or makes unusual noise. These conditions can cause fire or electric shock. Confirm that smoke has stopped and contact an authorised service centre.

Location

•For maximum distance and noise-free operation, place your base unit:

-Away from electrical appliances such as TVs, radios, personal computers or other phones.

-In a convenient, high and central location.

Battery caution

•We recommend using the battery(ies) noted on page 4. Use only rechargeable battery(ies).

•Do not mix old and new batteries.

•Do not dispose of the battery(ies) in a fire, as they may explode. Check local waste management codes for special disposal instructions.

•Do not open or mutilate the battery(ies). Released electrolyte from the battery(ies) is corrosive and may cause burns or injury to the eyes or skin. The electrolyte may be toxic if swallowed.

•Exercise care when handling the battery(ies). Do not allow conductive materials such as rings, bracelets or keys to touch the battery(ies),

otherwise a short circuit may cause the battery(ies) and/or the conductive material to overheat and cause burns.

•Charge the battery(ies) in accordance with the information provided in this installation manual.

•Only use the included base unit (or charger) to charge the battery(ies). Do not tamper with the base unit (or charger). Failure to follow these instructions may cause the battery(ies) to swell or explode.

Connections

•The AC adaptor must remain connected at all times. (It is normal for the adaptor to feel warm during use.)

Battery charge

Place the handset on the charger for about 7 hours before initial use.

Note:

•The handset display may show “Please Wait...” when the handset is placed on the charger if it is not registered to a base unit.

Changing the display language

16 display languages are available. You can select “Deutsch”,

“English”, “Magyar”, “Polski”, “slovensky”, “ČeŠtina”, “Hrvatski”, “Slovenscina”, “Eesti”, “LIETUVIŠKAI”, “LatvieŠu”, “Românã”, “БЪЛГАРСКИ”, “Srpski”, “МАКЕДОНСКИ”, or

“Shqiptar”.

1Press {j/OK}.

2Select “Handset Setup”, then press {>}.

3Select “Display Setup”, then press {>}.

4Select “Select Language”, then press {>}.

5Select the desired language, then press {>}.

6Press {ih}.

Note:

•If you select a language you cannot read, press {ih}, {j/OK}, press {e} 2 times, press {>}, press {v} 2 times, press {>}, press {v}, press {>}, select the desired language, then press {>}. Press {ih}.

Registering the handset to KX-TCD200 base unit

Ensure that the handset is switched on. If it is not on, press and hold {ih} for few seconds to turn the handset on.

1Lift the handset and press {ih} to put the handset in standby mode.

2Press and hold {x} on the base unit for about 3 seconds, until the registration tone sounds.

3Place the handset on the base unit. The registration tone continues to sound. With the handset still on the base unit, wait until a confirmation tone sounds and w stops flashing.

Note:

•If an error tone sounds, or if w is still flashing, register the handset manually. (See manual registration in the KX-TCD200 operating instructions.)

•If all registered handsets start ringing in step 2, press {x} to stop. Start again from step 1.

•Charge the batteries for about 7 hours before initial use.

Bei diesem Gerät handelt es sich um ein optionales Mobilteil zur Verwendung mit dem digitalen Schnurlos-Telefon KX-TCD200. Bevor dieses Gerät verwendet werden kann, müssen Sie es an Ihrer KX-TCD200- Basisstation registrieren. Nähere Angaben hierzu erhalten Sie in der KX- TCD200-Bedienungsanleitung.

Wichtige Informationen

Allgemein

•Verwenden Sie nur das im Lieferumfang enthaltene, auf Seite 8 angegebene Netzteil.

•Schließen Sie das Netzteil nur an eine Standard-AC-Steckdose mit 220– 240 V Wechselstrom an.

•In folgenden Fällen können mit diesem Produkt keine Anrufe getätigt werden:

-Der/Die Akku(s) des schnurlosen Mobilteils muss/müssen geladen werden oder sind defekt.

-Bei einem Stromausfall.

-Bei aktivierter Tastensperre.

-Bei aktivierter Wahlsperre (nur die im Gerät als Notrufnummern gespeicherten Rufnummern können gewählt werden).

•Öffnen Sie das Ladegerät oder das Mobilteil nur zum Auswechseln des/ der Akkus.

•Dieses Produkt darf nicht in der Nähe von medizinischer Notfall-/ Intensivpflegeausrüstung verwendet und nicht von Menschen mit Herzschrittmachern betrieben werden.

•Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Objekte auf das Gerät fallen können und keine Flüssigkeiten in das Gerät verschüttet werden. Setzen Sie das Produkt weder übermäßigem Rauch, Staub, mechanischen Schwingungen oder Stößen aus.

Betriebsumgebung

•Verwenden Sie dieses Produkt nicht in der Nähe von Wasser.

•Betreiben Sie dieses Produkt nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen, wie Heizungen, Kochern usw. Stellen Sie dieses Produkt nicht in Räumen auf, in denen die Temperatur unter 5 °C oder über 40 °C liegt.

•Das Netzteil dient als Trennung zum übrigen Stromnetz. Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich die Netzsteckdose in der Nähe des Geräts befindet und leicht zugänglich ist.

Warnung:

•Setzen Sie dieses Gerät niemals Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus, um elektrische Schläge zu vermeiden.

•Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Gerätes aus der Steckdose, wenn sich Rauch entwickelt, ein außergwöhnlicher Geruch ausströmt oder ungewöhnliche Geräusche zu hören sind. Derartige Bedingungen können Feuer oder einen Stromschlag verursachen. Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein Rauch mehr ausströmt und nehmen Sie mit einem authorisierten Service Center Kontakt auf.

Aufstellort

•Für einen rauschfreien Betrieb bei maximaler Kommunikationsentfernung stellen Sie die Basisstation wie folgt auf:

-Nicht in der Nähe von elektrischen Geräten, wie beispielsweise TVGeräten, Radiogeräten, PCs oder weiteren Telefonen.

-An einer leicht zu erreichenden und zentralen Stelle.

Sicherheitshinweis für den Umgang mit Akkus

•Wir empfehlen den/die auf Seite 8 genannten Akku(s). Verwenden Sie nur aufladbare Akku(s).

•Verwenden Sie keine alten und neuen Akkus zusammen.

•Entsorgen Sie Akku(s) nicht durch Verbrennen, da sie explodieren können. Beachten Sie die lokalen Abfallbeseitigungsbestimmungen bezüglich besonderer Entsorgungsvorschriften.

•Öffnen und beschädigen Sie den/die Akku(s) nicht. Freigesetztes Elektrolyt aus dem/den Akku(s) ist korrosiv und kann Verbrennungen oder Verletzungen an Augen und Haut hervorrufen. Das Elektrolyt kann bei Verschlucken toxisch wirken.

•Lassen Sie beim Umgang mit dem/den Akku(s) Vorsicht walten. Lassen Sie keine leitenden Materialien, wie beispielsweise Ringe, Armbänder oder Schlüssel den/die Akku(s) berühren, da dies zu einem Kurzschluss führen kann, bei dem sich der/die Akku(s) und/oder die leitenden Materialien überhitzen und somit Verbrennungen verursachen können.

•Ersetzen Sie den Akku/die Akkus gemäß den Informationen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

•Verwenden Sie zum Laden des/der Akkus nur die mitgelieferte Basisstation (bzw. das Ladegerät). Nehmen Sie keine Änderungen an der Basisstation (bzw. am Ladegerät) vor. Die Nichtbefolgung dieser Anweisungen kann zum Aufquellen oder Explodieren des/der Akku(s) führen.

Anschlüsse

•Das Netzteil muss stets angeschlossen bleiben (es ist normal, dass sich das Netzteil während des Betriebs warm anfühlt).

Laden des/der Akku(s)

Legen Sie das Mobilteil vor dem ersten Gebrauch ca. 7 Stunden lang auf das Ladegerät.

Hinweis:

•Das Mobilteil-Display kann “Please Wait...” anzeigen, wenn das Mobilteil auf das Ladegerät gelegt wird und es nicht für die Basisstation registriert ist.

Änderung der Display-Sprache

16 Display-Sprachen stehen zur Auswahl. Sie können “Deutsch”,

“Shqiptar” auswählen.
