Installation
Do not use the CA-LMHR Series in the following locations:
• Locations where the CA-LMHR Series is exposed to direct |
sunlight. |
• Locations where the ambient temperature exceeds or drops below |
the specification range, or where the temperature changes rapidly. |
• Locations which are poorly ventilated. |
• Locations where the relative humidity drops below 35% or |
NOTICE |
exceeds 85% RH, or where condensations occurs. |
• Locations where there are corrosive gas or flammable gas. |
• Locations where there are much dust, sodium, or iron powder. |
• Locations where water, oil, or chemicals may splash onto the |
CA-LMHR Series. |
• Locations where the CA-LMHR Series may be directly subjected |
to vibration or impact. |
Handling
• |
In case of transportation, use the same packaging as when the |
unit was delivered to avoid damage. |
• |
Take care not to dirty the surface of the lens and do not touch it |
NOTICE |
with your hands. |
•If the surface of the lens is dirty, clean it using a commercially available lens cleaning kit.
Installation method
•When installing this product, be sure to fix the camera side and the lens side in place at the two locations indicated (as shown in the dimensions diagrams).
•Never fix in place only the camera or the lens, as doing so may lead to the lens falling off of the camera, which may lead to accidents, failures, and damage.
•To fix the lens in place, apply uniform pressure at the indicated locations. Never fix the lens in place at locations other than those indicated or use a method that applies pressure in a single location such as a setscrew. Doing so may lead to product failures or damage.
•This is a precision instrument, so if you will use this product in
NOTICE |
an environment that will subject it to direct vibrations or |
impacts, implement appropriate vibration proofing |
countermeasures. Continually using this product in an |
environment that subjects it to vibrations or impacts may lead |
to product failures or damage. |
•If you will attach this product to a piece of equipment, use an insulated attachment base or similar device to ensure that this product is insulated from the equipment. The lens and camera are grounded through their frames, so installing these products without guaranteeing insulation in a location in which electric potential differences and noise are present may lead to equipment damage and malfunctions.
With this product, changing the magnification causes the position of |
Point |
the lens on the camera mount to change. Therefore, fix the lens in |
place after you have finished setting the magnification. |

*1 The pixel resolution is the field of view per pixel. This varies depending on the camera used. US = Unit cell size (size of 1 pixel of the receiving element)
*2 WD indicates the distance from the tip of the lens to the workpiece. Changing the magnification changes this distance.
*3 The resolution indicates a theoretical value calculated at 550 nm.
*4 The depth of field is a theoretical value calculated with an effective f-value of 16 and a circle of least confusion of 40 μm. This varies depending on the f-value.

All the above specifications are values based on the optical design, |
