Technologies that not only improve our everyday life, but our future too.
Green technology is the Bosch
efficiency, and transparency,
especially when it comes to
using resources and energy. At
Bosch our aim is to be guided by
this principle to achieve ground-
breaking technology and top
efficiency, paired with extremely
low consumption rates in energy
water and all natural resources.
Energy efficiency ratings
Energy efficiency ratings Energy
efficiency labels are informative
labels affiliated to manufactured
products. These labels are able
to indicate a products energy
performance in order to provide
consumers with the necessary
data for making informed
purchase decisions.
The more efficient a product
is the less energy it requires
and the more you get for your
money. Not only is this saving
of electricity good for your
wallet, but it is good for the
environment too; between 1995
and 20 00 there has been a
saving of three-quarter million-
tons of CO2 alone in Europe,
by improving the technique of
large household appliances.
the same time not having any
adverse effect on the cleaning
and drying performance of the
appliance. Dishwashers, in
general, use the Eco50°C
programme as its standard
programme upon which energy
consumption is rated. The energy
label for dishwashers comprises
3 classifications namely:
• Energy efficiency
• Cleaning performance
• Drying performance
The values are determined
according to the re-formulated
norm EN50242.
The energy label ranks the
appliance’s efficiency from
“A+++” to “D”.
These are categorised as
follows:
Class A+++ to A+ excellent
Class A to B good
Class C to D average
Dishwashers energy labelling
The energy label for dishwashers
has gradually been introduced
to the whole of Europe since
1999.The aim of this is to reduce
energy consumption, while at
Vario Speed*
Top results in half the time. You now have the option of running
your preferred washing programme at twice the speed instead of its
normal speed simply by pressing a button. The Vario Speed function
adopts the temperature and volume of the water used accordingly.
Half Load*
A reduced dish load can be washed – it’s your choice to use the top
or bottom basket. Reduction of energy (up to 15%) and water (up to
25%) consumption.
Intensive Zone*
This special option can be added to most of the wash cycles.
Upper basket: Care for glasses and fine dishes can be achieved with
delicate or eco programme.
Lower basket: Extra sequences are added with the lower spray
arm, to clean heavily soiled dishes in the lower basket. Higher spray
pressure and slighty higher temperature.
9 Litre*
Bosch dishwashing technology has improved over the years to the
point where it only takes 9 litres of water with a “Normal” and “Eco”
programme to wash your dishes. You are not only saving on water
costs, but electricity too as less water needs to be heated,
showing that with the ever increasing costs of electricity
and water it is a good idea to replace your dishwasher with
a new one from Bosch.
Variety in programmes and temperatures
It’s not only the number of programmes available, but also the
temperatures that count.
The eco programme – 50°C – is a low energy programme for lightly
soiled dishes. The intensive programme – 70°C – is a special
programme for heavily soiled pots and pans, while the soft programme
– 40°C – is a protective washing programme for cr ystal glasses.
Auto Programme*
Auto programmes manage to select the optimum temperature
setting while maximising water and
electricity savings, this is all done
without compromising the cleaning result.
Aqua-Stop*
The Aqua-Stop safety system prevents any kind of water damage.
No matter whether it occurs at the feed or drain hose or through a leak
in the appliance itself.
