your hearing instruments rapidly
and easily. They also provide you
with important information on
how to handle your instruments
as well as the batteries.
Additional tips are given in the
User Guide (not supplied with
every instrument).
Or simply contact your hearing
instrument specialist.

Safety notes for batteries
WARNING.
Keep batteries away from the reach of children!
If swallowed consult a physician or a hospital immediately.
ATTENTION.
Remove the batteries when the instrument is not in use over
a prolonged period. Replace leaking batteries without delay.
NOTE.
Do not throw away your dead batteries!
Return them to your hearing instrument specialist for proper,
environmentally conscious disposal.
Locking and unlocking the battery door
1. Close the battery compartment
2. Lock the door with special tool:
shift the bolt to right
3. Open the lock:
shift bolt to left

Warning: Choking hazard
•Check the integrity of the hearing system regularly.
Take care that your child does not detach the hearing
aid system from the earmould.
If the hearing system or earmould is deformed con-
sult your acoustician or audiologist.
• Always keep the battery compartment locked.
Verify the locking mechanism for proper function.
•The locking tool has to be kept out of the reach of
children.

NOTE. In some types of
instruments the sounds may
become fainter or you may
hear additional sounds.
This means that the battery
voltage is low. If this hap-
pens, change the battery.

IMPORTANT
If operated incorrectly, hearing instruments with high
amplification can cause permanent hearing damage.
Please ask your hearing instrument specialist.

General notes on safety
ATTENTION.
Protect against dampness, moisture, overheating
and physical damage.
ATTENTION.
Remove your hearing instrument before:
• showering/bathing and when using hairspray
• coming into contact with strong magnetic fields
(e.g. medical devices)
• undergoing an X-ray examination
WARNING.
Do not use your hearing instrument in explosion hazard areas!
•Is the instrument switched on?
•Is the battery inserted?
•Is the battery run down?
•Is the battery compartment closed?
•Is the volume control turned up?
•Is there wax on the earmould?
•Is the sound opening in the ear mould clogged with wax?
NOTE ON PROPER CARE.
Clean the earmould regularly to remove earwax buildup.
Your hearing instrument specialist stocks special cleaning
agents which you should use to clean your instrument.
In case of instrument failures

If the product is not used anymore, public laws and guideli-
nes can be valid for its disposal.
We recommend you to get in touch with the service center in
order to maintain these legal guidelines and exclude possible
environmental damage resulting from its disposal.
According to national guidelines, batteries and
package must be recycled in a sustainable way.
With the CE marking Siemens confirms compliance
with the European Directive 93/42/EEC concering
medical devices.

Notas de seguridad sobre las pilas
ADVERTENCIA.
¡Mantenga las pilas fuera del alcance de los niños! Si se traga,
consulte con un medico o vaya a un hospital inmediatamente.
ATENCIÓN.
Si no va a utilizar el audífono durante mucho tiempo, retire
las pilas. Sustituya inmediatamente las pilas con fugas.
NOTA.
¡No tire las pilas agotadas!
Devuélvala al especialista en audífonos para que la elimine
de forma ecológica.
Bloquear y desbloquear la tapa de la pila
1. Cerrar el compartimento de la pila
2. Para bloquear la tapa con la
herramienta especial:
empuje la corredera hacia la
derecha
3. Para abrir el bloqueo: empuje la
corredera hacia la izquierda

Advertencia: Peligro de asfixia
•Compruebe el estado del audífono con regularidad.
Asegúrese de que los niños no separan el audífono
del molde auricular.
Si el audífono o el molde auricular se deforman,
consulte con el audiólogo.
•Mantenga siempre bloqueado el compartimento de la
pila. Compruebe si el bloqueo funciona correctamente.
•Mantenga la herramienta de bloqueo fuera del alcance
de los niños.
