PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY
A.Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open. This can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to disable or tamper with the safety interlocks.
B.Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
C.Do not operate the oven if damaged. It is especially important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the:
1.DOOR (bent)
2.HINGES AND LATCHES (broken or loosened)
3.DOOR SEALS AND SEALING SURFACES
D.The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
A Special Note on Arcing
“Arcing” refers to the presence of sparks inside the microwave oven. It can be caused by:
•Metalorfoiltouchingtheinsidewallsoftheoven.
•Foilnotcloselymoldedtofood,whereedgeshavebeenleftstickingup.
•Smallmetalpartssuchastwist-ties,poultrypins,orgold-rimmeddishes.
•Recycledpapertowelswhichmaycontainsmallamountsofmetal.

•Ifmaterialsinsidetheovenignite,keepovendoorclosed,turn ovenoff,anddisconnectthepowercordorshutoffpowerat the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
•Donotusethecavityforstoragepurpose.Donotleavepaper products,cookingutensilsorfoodinsidethecavitywhennotin use.
9.Liquids,suchaswater,coffee,orteacanbeoverheatedbeyond the boiling point without appearing to be boiling due to surface tension of the liquid. Visible bubbling or boiling when the container is removed from the microwave oven is not always present. This could result in very hot liquids suddenly boiling over when a spoon or other utensil is inserted into the liquid.
10.Do not heat oil or fat for deep-frying. It is difficult to control the temperature of oil in a microwave oven.
11.Foodswithheavyskinssuchaspotatoes,wholesquash,apples and chestnuts should be pierced with a fork or the tip of a sharp knife before cooking.
12.The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars should be stirred or shaken and the temperature should be checked before serving in order to avoid burns.
13.Cooking utensils may become hot because of heat transferred from the heated food. Pot holders may be needed to handle the utensil.
14.Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
15.Do not store or use this appliance outdoors. Do not use this productnearwater,forexample,nearakitchensink,inawet basement,nearaswimmingpool,orsimilarlocations.
16.Donotoperatethisapplianceifthecordorplugisdamaged,ifit isnotworkingproperly,orifithasbeendamagedordropped.
17.Do not immerse cord or plug in water. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. Do not let cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
Electrical Requirements
Theelectricalrequirementsarea120volt60Hz,AConly,15amp.Itis recommended that a separate circuit serving only the oven be provided. The oven is equipped with a 3-wire cord having a 3-prong grounding plug. It must be plugged into a wall receptacle that is properly installed and grounded.
Thisappliancemustbegrounded.Intheeventofanelectricalshortcircuit, grounding reduces risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. The cord provided with this appliance is equipped with a grounding wire and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature by modifying the plug in any way.
WARNING
Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if:
1)The grounding instructions are not completely understood.
2)You are unsure that the appliance is properly grounded.
3)You have any questions about the grounding or electrical instructions.
Power Supply Cord
1.A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2.Ifthepowersupplycordistooshort,donotuseanextensioncord.Havea qualified electrician or serviceman to install an outlet near the appliance.
3.Ifitisabsolutelynecessarytouselongercordsetsoranextensioncord,extreme care must be exercised.
a)Use only a grounding type 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle
that will accept the plug on the appliance.
b)The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension
cord must equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table
top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Note: Neither Haier nor the dealer can accept any liability for damage to the oven or personal injury resulting from failure to observe the electrical connection procedures.

•Microwaveableplasticwrap:Usetoretainsteam.Leaveasmallopeningforsome steam to escape and avoid placing it directly on the food.
•Papertowelsandnapkins:Theseabsorbexcessmoistureandpreventspattering. Useforshort-termheatingandcovering.Donotuserecycledpapertowels,which may contain metal and could ignite.
•Heat-proofglassorglass-ceramicbowlsanddishes:Useforheatingorcooking.
•Paperplatesandcups:Useforshort-termheatingatlowtemperatures.Donot userecycledpaper,whichmaycontainmetalandcouldignite.
•Waxpaper:Useasacovertopreventspattering.
•Thermometers:Useonlythoselabeled“MicrowaveSafe”andfollowalldirections.
Check the temperature of food in several places. Conventional thermometers may be used on microwaved food once the food has been removed from the oven.
Limited Use
•Aluminumfoil:Smooth, narrowstripsoffoilmaybeusedtoshielddelicateareas on food items like drumsticks and wings to prevent overcooking.
NOTE: Usingtoomuchfoilcandamageyouroven,sobecareful.
•Ceramic,porcelain,andstoneware:Usetheseonlyiftheyarelabeled“Microwave Safe”.Iftheyarenotlabeled,testthemtomakesuretheycanbeusedsafely.
•Plastic:Useonlyiflabeled“MicrowaveSafe”.Otherplasticscanmelt.
•Straw,wicker,andwood:Useonlyforshort-termheating,suchaswarmingdinner rolls for a few seconds. Baskets and bowls may be flammable.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
1.Make sure that all the packing materials are removed from the inside of the door.
2.Checktheovenforanydamage,such asmisalignedorbentdoor,damaged doorsealsandsealingsurfaces, broken or loose door hinges and latches,anddentsinsidethecavityor onthedoor.Ifthereisanydamage, do not operate the oven. Contact qualified service personnel.
3.This microwave oven must be placed onaflat,stablesurfacecapableof supporting the weight of the oven plus the heaviest food likely to be cooked in the oven.
4.Donotplacetheovenwhereheat, moisture,orhighhumidityare generated,ornearcombustible materials.
5.Tofunctioncorrectly,theovenmust have sufficient airflow on all sides.
Allow8"ofspaceabovetheoven,4" atback,and2"atbothsides.Donot cover or block any openings on the appliance. Do not remove feet on which oven stands.
6.Do not operate the oven without glasstray,rollersupport,andshaftin their proper positions.
7.Make sure that the power supply cord is undamaged and does not run under the oven or over any hot or sharp surface.
8.The socket must be readily accessible so that the cord can be quickly reached
and easily unplugged in an emergency.

SIGNALS DURING OVEN SETTINGS ONE BEEP: Oven accepts the entry. TWO BEEP: Oven does not accept the entry,checkandtryagain.
SETTING THE CLOCK
1.Touch CLOCK pad.
2.Use the number pad to enter the correct time.
3.Touch CLOCK pad again.
NOTE: This is a 12-hour clock. When the oven is first plugged in or when power resumesafterapowerinterruption, the display will show ENTER CLOCK TIME. If you prefer to not have the clock displayed,touchRESET.
Setting the Timer
The timer operates as a minute timer.
1.Press Timer pad.
2.Enter the amount of time you want to count down.
3.Press the Start pad. When the time is up,thetimerwillsignal.
NOTE: The timer operates without microwave energy.
SETTING A COOKING PROGRAM
A. Single-stage cooking
1.Use the number pad to set a cooking time. You can set a cooking time from one second to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
2.Set the Power Level if other than 100%.
3.Touch START/STOP to start cooking.
B. Multiple-stage cooking
Some foods or recipes require different stages of cooking at different temperatures.
1.SET STAGE 1:
Follow steps 1 and 2 in “Single-stage Cooking”. Do not touch START/STOP.
2.SET STAGE 2:
Touch TIME COOK 2 then enter proper cooking time and (lower) power level. Most Multiple-Stage recipes use lower power for second stage.
3.Touch START/STOP to start cooking.
NOTE: Afterstage1timehaselapsed, onebeepsounds,signalingthe beginning of stage 2.
SETTING THE POWER LEVEL
The default power output setting is 100%. If you want to set a power level otherthan100%,touchPOWERLEVEL, and then use the number pad to enter the power level.

SPEED DEFROST
1.Touch SPEED DEFROST.
2.Enter desired defrosting time with the number pad.
3.Touch START/STOP.
