Sikkerhed for børn og udsatte personer

•Apparatet er ikke beregnet til at bruges af personer (herunder børn) med nedsat fysisk, sensorisk eller psykisk funktionsevne, eller som mangler den nødvendige erfaring eller viden, med mindre den, der har ansvaret for deres sikkerhed, først har instrueret dem eller har kontrolleret, at de kan betjene det korrekt.

Generelt om sikkerhed

Bemærk Ventilationsåbningerne må ikke blokeres.

•Apparatet er beregnet til opbevaring af madvarer og/eller drikkevarer i en almindelig husholdning, som forklaret i denne brugsanvisning.

•Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optøningen.

•Brug ikke andre el-apparater (f.eks. ismaskiner) inde i køleudstyr, med mindre de er godkendt til formålet af producenten.

•Kølekredsløbet må ikke beskadiges.

•Apparatets kølekreds indeholder kølemidlet isobutan (R600a), en naturlig gas med høj biologisk nedbrydelighed. Det er dog brandfarligt.

Sørg for, at ingen af kølekredsens komponenter kan tage skade under transport og installation af apparatet.

Hvis kølekredsen skulle blive beskadiget:

–Undgå åben ild og antændelseskilder

–Luft grundigt ud i det lokale, hvor apparatet står

•Det er farligt at ændre apparatets specifikationer eller forsøge at ombygge det på nogen måde. Enhver skade på ledningen kan give kortslutning, brand og/eller elektrisk stød.

Advarsel Enhver elektrisk komponent (netledning, stik, kompressor) skal udskiftes af et autoriseret serviceværksted eller en autoriseret montør.

1.Netledningen må ikke forlænges.

2.Pas på, at stikket ikke bliver klemt eller beskadiget af apparatets bagpanel. Et klemt eller beskadiget stik kan blive overophedet og starte en brand.

3.Sørg for, at apparatets eltilslutning er let at komme til.

4.Træk ikke i elledningen.

5.Sæt ikke stikket i kontakten, hvis kontakten sidder løst. Fare for elektrisk stød eller brand.

6.Der må ikke tændes for apparatet, hvis lampedækslet ikke sidder på1) den indvendige pære.

•Apparatet er tungt. Der skal udvises stor forsigtighed ved flytning af det.

•Rør ikke ved ting fra frostafdelingen med fugtige eller våde hænder. Det kan give hudafskrabninger eller forfrysninger.

•Undgå at udsætte apparatet for direkte sollys i længere tid.

•Lamper2) I dette apparat benyttes specialpærer, der er udvalgt alene til husholdningsapparater. De er ikke egnet til oplysning i almindelige rum.

Daglig brug

•Sæt ikke en varm gryde på apparatets plastdele.

•Opbevar ikke brandfarlig gas og væske i apparatet, da de kan eksplodere.

•Sæt ikke maden direkte op mod udluftningen i apparatets bagvæg. 3)

•Dybfrostvarer må ikke nedfryses igen, når de har været optøet.

•Opbevar færdigpakkede dybfrostvarer som angivet på pakken.

•Følg nøje producentens angivelser vedr. opbevaring af produktet. Se de relevante vejledninger.

•Sæt ikke drikkevarer med kulsyre ('brus') i frostrummet, da det skaber tryk i beholderen, så den kan eksplodere og beskadige apparatet.

•Ispinde kan give forfrysninger, hvis de spises lige fra fryseren.

Vedligeholdelse og rengøring

•Inden rengøring slukkes der for apparatet, og stikket tages ud af kontakten.

•Brug ikke metalgenstande til at rengøre apparatet.

•Brug ikke skarpe genstande til at skrabe rim af. Brug en plastikskraber.

Installation

Vigtigt Ved tilslutning til lysnet skal vejledningen i det pågældende afsnit nøje følges.

•Pak apparatet ud, og efterse det for skader. Tilslut ikke apparatet, hvis det er beskadiget. Eventuelle skader på apparatet skal straks anmeldes til det sted, hvor det er købt. Gem i så fald emballagen.

•Det anbefales at vente mindst fire timer med at tilslutte apparatet, så olien har tid til at løbe tilbage i kompressoren.

•Der skal være tilstrækkelig luftudskiftning rundt om apparatet. Ellers bliver det overophedet. Følg installationsvejledningen for at sikre tilstrækkelig ventilation.

•Apparatet må ikke stilles tæt på radiatorer eller komfurer.

•Sørg for, at det er muligt at komme til netstikket, når apparatet er installeret.

Service

•Alt el-arbejde, der kræves til vedligeholdelse af apparatet, skal udføres af en autoriseret el-installatør.

•Dette produkt må kun serviceres af et autoriseret serviceværksted, og der må kun bruges originale reservedele.

Miljøhensyn

Apparatet indeholder ikke gasser, der kan nedbryde ozonlaget, hverken i kølekreds eller isoleringsmaterialer. Apparatet må ikke bortskaffes sammen med husholdningsaffald og jordfyld. Isoleringsskummet indeholder brændbare gasser: Apparatet skal bortskaffes i hen-

hold til gældende bestemmelser. Nærmere oplysninger fås hos kommunens tekniske forvaltning. Undgå at beskadige køleenheden, især på bagsiden ved siden af varmeveksleren. De materialer i apparatet, der er mærket med symbolet , kan genvanvendes.

BETJENING

Tænde

Sæt stikket i stikkontakten. Kontrollampen tændes.

Drej termostatknappen med uret.

Vigtigt Hvis temperaturen i apparatet er for høj, lyser advarselslampen.

Slukning

Sluk for apparatet ved at dreje termostatknappen på OFF.

Temperaturindstilling

Temperaturen reguleres automatisk. Apparatet betjenes på følgende måde:

•Drej termostatknappen mod for at vælge minimal køling.

•Drej termostatknappen mod for at vælge maksimal køling.

I reglen er en mellemindstilling mest passende.

Når den præcise indstilling vælges, skal man dog huske på, at temperaturen i apparatet afhænger af:

•Rumtemperaturen

•Hvor tit låget åbnes

•Mængden af mad

•Skabets placering.

Action Freeze Funktion

Action Freeze-funktionen slås til ved at trykke på Action Freeze-knappen.

Action Freeze-lampen tændes. Funktionen standser automatisk efter 52 timer.

Funktionen kan slås fra når som helst ved at trykke på Action Freeze -knappen. Action Freeze-lampen slukkes.

Alarm for høj temperatur

Temperaturstigning i fryseren (f.eks. på grund af strømsvigt) vises ved at:

•advarselslampen tændes

•alarmen lyder.

Mens alarmen lyder, kan den afbrydes ved at trykke på knappen til nulstilling af alarm. Mens alarmen lyder, må der ikke lægges mad i fryseren.

Advarselslampen slukkes automatisk, når forholdene igen er normale.

IBRUGTAGNING

Indvendig rengøring

Inden apparatet tages i brug vaskes det indvendig (inkl. tilbehør) med lunkent vand tilsat neutral sæbe for at fjerne den typiske lugt af nyt apparat. Tør grundigt efter.

Vigtigt Brug ikke sulfosæbe eller skuremiddel. Det vil skade overfladen.

DAGLIG BRUG

Indfrysning af ferskvarer

Frostrummet er velegnet til nedfrysning af friske madvarer og til langtidsopbevaring af købte frostvarer og dybfrossen mad.

Inden indfrysning af friske madvarer startes Action Freeze-funktionen mindst 24 før madvarerne lægges i fryseren.

Den maksimale mængde madvarer, der kan indfryses på 24 timer (den såkaldte indfrysningskapacitet), står på typepladen . 4) Indfrysningen tager 24 timer: I dette tidsrum må der ikke lægges andre madvarer i, som skal fryses.

Opbevaring af frosne madvarer

Når skabet tændes igen efter en længere periode, hvor det ikke har været anvendt, skal det køre i mindst 2 timer på højere indstillinger, inden der lægges madvarer ind.

Vigtigt Hvis madvarerne optøs ved et uheld (f.eks. som følge af strømsvigt), og strømafbrydelsen har varet længere end den angivne temperaturstigningstid under tekniske specifikationer, skal madvarerne enten spises eller tilberedes og derefter nedfryses igen (efter afkøling).

Åbning og lukning af låget

Låget er forsynet med en tætsluttende pakning, og derfor er det svært at åbne igen, hvis det lige har været åbnet (fordi der dannes undertryk i fryseren).

Vent nogle minutter med at åbne apparatet igen. Vakuumventilen gør det lettere at åbne låget.

Advarsel Træk aldrig meget kraftigt i grebet.

Frysekurve

Hægt kurvene på fryserens overkant (X), eller stil dem i fryseren (Y). Drej håndtagene og sæt dem fast i de to stillinger, som vist på tegningen.

Dybfrostkalender

Symbolerne viser forskellige slags dybfrost. Tallene angiver det antal måneder, de pågældende madvarer kan opbevares. Madvarens kvalitet og behandling før nedfrysningen afgør, om det højeste eller laveste tal for opbevaringstid gælder.

Kurvene sættes ned i hinanden.

Følgende tegninger viser, hvor mange kurve der kan stå i de forskellige frysermodeller.

Sikkerhedslås

Fryseren er forsynet med særlig lås for at sikre, at låget ikke kan låses utilsigtet. Låsen er udformet, så nøglen kun kan drejes i låsen (så låget låses), hvis den først trykkes ind i låsen.

Gør følgende for at lukke fryseren:

1.Sæt forsigtigt nøglen i låsen.

2.Drej nøglen med uret, mod symbolet .

Gør følgende for at åbne fryseren:

1.Sæt forsigtigt nøglen i låsen.

2.Drej nøglen mod uret, mod symbolet .

Vigtigt Ekstra nøgler fås hos Electrolux Servic A/S.

Advarsel Opbevar nøglen utilgængeligt for børn.

Sørg for at tage nøglen ud af låsen, inden det gamle apparat kasseres.

NYTTIGE OPLYSNINGER OG RÅD

Råd om frysning

Her er nogle vigtige tips om, hvordan du udnytter fryseafdelingen bedst muligt:

•Den maksimale indfrysningskapacitet pr. døgn. fremgår af typeskiltet;

•Indfrysningen tager 24 timer. I dette tidsrum bør der ikke lægges flere madvarer ind;

•Nedfrys kun 1. klasses madvarer, der er friske og grundigt rengjorte;

•Del maden op i små portioner, så den indfryses hurtigt og jævnt. Så kan du også hurtigt optø netop den mængde, du skal bruge;

•Pak maden ind i alufolie eller polyætylen, og sørg for, at indpakningen er lufttæt;

•Lad ikke friske, ikke-nedfrosne madvarer røre ved frostvarer, så temperaturen stiger i dem;

•Magre madvarer holder sig bedre og længere end fedtholdige; Salt nedsætter madens holdbarhed;

•Hvis sodavandsis spises direkte fra frostrummet, kan de give forfrysninger;

•Det er en god idé at mærke alle pakker med indfrysningsdato, så du har styr på holdbarheden.

Tips om opbevaring af frostvarer

For at få den største fornøjelse af dette skab, skal du:

•Sikre dig, at købte dybfrostvarer har været været korrekt opbevaret i forretningen;

•Sørge for at bringe frostvarer hjem hurtigst muligt og lægge dem i fryseren;

•Åbne låget så lidt som muligt, og lad det ikke stå åbent længere end højst nødvendigt.

•Optøede madvarer nedbrydes meget hurtigt og kan ikke nedfryses igen.

•Overskrid ikke udløbsdatoen på pakken.

VEDLIGEHOLDELSE OG RENGØRING

Bemærk Kobl apparatet fra strømforsyningen, før der udføres nogen som helst form for vedligeholdelse.

Apparatets kølesystem indeholder klorbrinter; Service og påfyldning må derfor kun udføres af en autoriseret tekniker.

Regelmæssig rengøring

1.Sluk for apparatet.

2.Tag stikket ud af kontakten.

3.Rengør jævnligt apparat og tilbehørsdele med varmt vand og neutral sæbe. Rengør lågets pakning omhyggeligt.

4.Tør apparatet grundigt af.

5.Sæt stikket i stikkontakten.

6.Tænd for apparatet.

Bemærk Brug ikke sulfosæbe, skurepulver/skuresvampe, stærkt parfumeret rengøringsmiddel eller voksprodukter til indvendig rengøring af apparatet.

Undgå at beskadige kølesystemet.

Vigtigt Det er ikke nødvendigt at rengøre kompressorområdet.

Mange rengøringsmidler til køkkener indeholder kemikalier, der kan angribe og evt.

beskadige de anvendte plastmaterialer i apparatet. Derfor anbefales det, at kabinettet udvendig kun rengøres med varmt vand tilsat lidt opvaskemiddel.

Afrimning af fryser

Fryseren skal afrimes, når laget af rim er 10-15 mm tykt.

Det er mest praktisk at afrime, når fryseren er tom eller kun indeholder få madvarer. Rimlag fjernes på følgende måde:

1.Sluk for apparatet.

2.Tag eventuelle madvarer ud, pak dem ind i flere lag avispapir, og læg dem et koldt sted.

3.Lad låget stå åbent, tag proppen ud af afløbet til afrimningsvand, og opsaml afrimningsvandet i en bakke. Brug en skraber til hurtigt at fjerne isen.

4.Når afrimningen er afsluttet, tørres skabet grundigt af indvendig, og proppen sættes i igen.

5.Tænd for apparatet.

6.Sæt termostatknappen på højeste trin, og lad apparatet stå på denne indstilling i to-tre timer.

7. Læg madvarerne på plads igen.

Vigtigt Brug aldrig skarpe metalgenstande til at skrabe rim af. Det kan beskadige apparatet. Brug ikke mekaniske redskaber eller andre kunstige hjælpemidler til at fremskynde optøningen, med mindre de er anbefalet af producenten. Hvis dybfrostvarernes temperatur er steget under afrimningen, kan det forkorte deres holdbarhed.

Pause i brug

Tag følgende forholdsregler, når apparatet ikke skal bruges i længere tid:

1.Sluk for apparatet.

2.Tag stikket ud af kontakten.

3.Tag al maden ud.

4.Afrim og rengør apparatet og alt tilbehør.

5.Lad låget stå åbent for at forebygge ubehagelig lugt.

Vigtigt Hvis der skal være tændt for skabet: Bed nogen se til det en gang imellem, så maden ikke bliver fordærvet, hvis der har været strømsvigt.

HVIS NOGET GÅR GALT

Bemærk Inden fejlfinding skal stikket tages ud af kontakten.

Fejl der ikke er nævnt i denne brugsanvisning må kun afhjælpes af en autoriseret installatør eller anden fagmand.

Kontroller, at låget slutter tæt, og at pakningerne er intakte og rene.

Vent nogle timer, og kontroller så temperaturen igen.

Lad madvarer køle af til stuetemperatur, før de lægges i.

Prøv at sænke temperaturen i det lokale, hvor apparatet står.

Flyt rundt på pakkerne. Se mærkaten i apparatet.

Undgå at åbne låget så tit.

Lad ikke låget stå åbent længere end nødvendigt.

Vælg en højere temperatur.

Sæt stikket rigtigt i stikkontakten.

Prøv at sætte et andet el-apparat til stikkontakten.

Tænd for apparatet.

Udskiftning af pære

1.Tag stikket ud af kontakten.

2.Erstat den defekte pære med en ny pære med samme effekt (maks. styrke fremgår af lampedækslet).

Advarsel Fjern ikke lampedækslet, når pæren skiftes.

Fryseren må ikke startes, hvis lampedækslet mangler eller er defekt.

INSTALLATION

Placering

Advarsel Hvis du kasserer et ældre apparat med fjederlås (lås med låsetunge) på låget: Sørg for at ødelægge den, så børn ikke kan komme til at smække sig inde.

Vigtigt Der skal være adgang til stikket efter installationen.

Apparatet kan opstilles indendørs på et tørt, ventileret sted (garage eller kælder), men fungerer bedst, hvis det står et sted, hvor omgivelsernes temperatur svarer til den klimaklasse, der er angivet på apparatets typeskilt:

Elektrisk tilslutning

Inden tilslutning til lysnettet skal det kontrolleres, at spændingen og frekvensen på typeskiltet svarer til boligens forsyningsstrøm. Apparatet skal tilsluttes jord. Stikket på netledningen har en kontakt til dette formål. Hvis der ikke er jord på stikkontakten, tilsluttes apparatet en særskilt jordforbindelse i

h.t. Stærkstrømsreglementet. Spørg en autoriseret installatør til råds. Producenten fralægger sig ethvert ansvar, hvis de nævnte sikkerhedsregler ikke overholdes.

Krav til lufttilførsel

1.Placer fryseren vandret på et fast underlag. Alle fire fødder skal hvile på gulvet.

2.Sørg for, at apparatets bagside er mindst 5 cm fra væggen.

3.Sørg for, at apparatets sider er mindst 5 cm fra vægge/skabe.

Der skal være tilstrækkelig luftudskiftning bag apparatet.

SKÅN MILJØET

Symbolet på produktet eller på pakken angiver, at dette produkt ikke må behandles som husholdningsaffald. SAFETY INFORMATION

In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the appliance are thoroughly familiar with its operation and safety features. Save these instructions and make sure that they remain with the appliance if it is moved or sold, so that everyone using it through its life will be properly informed on appliance use and safety.

For the safety of life and property keep the precautions of these user's instructions as the manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by omission.

Children and vulnerable people safety

•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

•Keep all packaging well away from children. There is risk of suffocation.

•If you are discarding the appliance pull the plug out of the socket, cut the connection cable (as close to the appliance as you can) and remove the door to prevent playing children to suffer electric shock or to close themselves into it.

•If this appliance featuring magnetic door seals is to replace an older appliance having a spring lock (latch) on the door or lid, be sure to make that spring lock unusable before you discard the old appliance. This will prevent it from becoming a death trap for a child.

General safety

Caution! Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.

•The appliance is intended for keeping foodstuff and/or beverages in a normal household as explained in this instruction booklet.

•Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process.

•Do not use other electrical appliances (such as ice cream makers) inside of refrigerating appliances, unless they are approved for this purpose by the manufacturer.

•Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

•The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility, which is nevertheless flammable.

During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

–avoid open flames and sources of ignition

•It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way. Any damage to the cord may cause a shortcircuit, fire and/or electric shock.

Warning! Any electrical component (power cord, plug, compressor) must be replaced by a certified service agent or qualified service personnel.

1.Power cord must not be lengthened.

2.Make sure that the power plug is not squashed or damaged by the back of the appliance. A squashed or damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.

3.Make sure that you can come to the mains plug of the appliance.

4.Do not pull the mains cable.

5.If the power plug socket is loose, do not insert the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.

6.You must not operate the appliance without the lamp cover5) of interior lighting.

•This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken when moving it.

•Do not remove nor touch items from the freezer compartment if your hands are damp/wet, as this could cause skin abrasions or frost/freezer burns.

•Avoid prolonged exposure of the appliance to direct sunlight.

•Bulb lamps6) used in this appliance are special purpose lamps selected for household appliances use only. They are not suitable for household room illumination.

Daily Use

•Do not put hot pot on the plastic parts in the appliance.

•Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the appliance, because they may explode.

•Do not place food products directly against the air outlet on the rear wall.7)

•Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been thawed out.

•Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.

•Appliance's manufacturers storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. Refer to relevant instructions.

•Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure on the container, which may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to the appliance.

•Ice lollies can cause frost burns if consumed straight from the appliance.

Care and cleaning

•Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

•Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.

•Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance. Use a plastic scraper.

Installation

Important! For electrical connection carefully follow the instructions given in specific paragraph.

•Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages on it. Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it. In that case retain packing.

•It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.

•Adequate air circulation should be around the appliance, lacking this leads to overheating. To achieve sufficient ventilation follow the instructions relevant to installation.

•The appliance must not be located close to radiators or cookers.

•Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after the installation of the appliance.

Service

•Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.

•This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Centre, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

Environment Protection

This appliance does not contain gasses which could damage the ozone layer, in either its refrigerant circuit or insulation materials. The appliance shall not be discarded together with the urban refuse and rubbish. The insulation foam contains flammable gases: the appli-

ance shall be disposed according to the applicable regulations to obtain from your local authorities. Avoid damaging the cooling unit, especially at the rear near the heat exchanger. The materials used on this appliance marked by the symbol are recyclable.

OPERATION

Switching on

Insert the plug into the wall socket. The Pilot light will light up.

Turn the Temperature regulator clockwise.

Important! If the temperature inside the appliance is too high the Alarm light will light up.

Switching off

To turn off the appliance, turn the Temperature regulator to the OFF position.

Temperature regulation

The temperature is automatically regulated. To operate the appliance, proceed as follows:

•turn the Temperature regulator towards

to obtain the minimum coldness.

•turn the Temperature regulator towards to obtain the maximum coldness.

A medium setting is generally the most suitable.

However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in mind that the temperature inside the appliance depends on:

•room temperature

•how often the lid is opened

•the quantity of food stored

•the location of the appliance.

Action Freeze function

You can activate the Action Freeze function by pressing the Action Freeze switch.

The Action Freeze light will light up.

This function stops automatically after 52 hours.

It is possible to deactivate the function at any time by pressing Action Freeze switch. The Action Freeze light will switch off.

High temperature alarm

An increase in the temperature in the freezer (for example due to an power failure) is indicated by:

•switching on of the Alarm light

•sounding of buzzer.

During the alarm phase, the buzzer can be switched off by pressing the Alarm reset switch.

During the alarm phase, don't place food inside the freezer.

When normal conditions are restored the Alarm light will switch off automatically.

FIRST USE

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.

Important! Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.

DAILY USE

Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for a long time.

To freeze fresh food activate the Action Freeze function at least 24 hours before placing the food to be frozen in the freezer compartment.

The maximum amount of food that can be frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rating plate 8)

The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this period do not add other food to be frozen.

Storage of frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out of use, before putting the products in the compartment let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings.

Important! In the event of accidental defrosting, for example due to a power failure, if the power has been off for longer than the value shown in the technical characteristics chart under "rising time", the defrosted food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately and then re-frozen (after cooling).

Frozen Food Calendar

The symbols show different types of frozen goods.

The numbers indicate storage times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods. Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated storage time is valid depends on the quality of the foods and treating before freezing.

Opening and closing the lid

As the lid is equipped with a tightly closing seal, it is not easy to reopen it shortly after closing (due to the vacuum formed inside).

Wait a few minutes before reopening the appliance. The vacuum valve will help you to open the lid.

Warning! Never pull the handle with immense force.

Storage baskets

Hang the baskets on the upper edge of the freezer (X) or place them inside the freezer

(Y). Turn and fix the handles for these two positions as shown in the picture.

The baskets will slide into each other.

The following pictures show how many baskets can be placed inside the various freezer models.

Security lock

The freezer is equipped with a special lock in order to avoid accidental locking. The lock is designed in such manner that you can turn the key and thus close the lid only if you previously push the key into the lock.

1.push the key into the lock gently.

Important! Spare keys are available at the local Service Centre.

Warning! Keep the key well away from children.

Make sure to remove the key from the lock before you discard the old appliance.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

Hints for freezing

To help you make the most of the freezing process, here are some important hints:

•the maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate;

•the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to be frozen should be added during this period;

•only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs;

•prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and to make it possible subsequently to thaw only the quantity required;

•wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and make sure that the packages are airtight;

•do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature of the latter;

•lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of food;

•water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt;

•it is advisable to show the freezing in date on each individual pack to enable you to keep tab of the storage time.

Hints for storage of frozen food

To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you should:

•make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer;

•be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time;

•not open the lid frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely necessary.

•Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot be refrozen.

•Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.

CARE AND CLEANING

Caution! Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation.

This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit; maintenance and re-

charging must therefore only be carried out by authorized technicians.

Periodic cleaning

1.Switch off the appliance.

2.Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

3.Regularly clean the appliance and the accessories with warm water and neutral soap. Clean the lid seal carefully.

4.Fully dry the appliance.

5.Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.

6.Switch on the appliance.

Caution! Do not use detergents, abrasive products, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the inner side of the appliance. Prevent damage to the cooling system.

Important! There is no need to clean the compressor area.

Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only cleaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.

Defrosting the freezer

Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches a thickness of about 10-15 mm.

The best time to defrost the freezer when it contains no or only a little food.

To remove the frost, do these steps:

1.Switch off the appliance.

2.Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place.

3.Leave the lid open , remove the plug from the defrost water drain and collect all defrost water on a tray. Use a scraper to remove ice quickly.

4.When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly and refit the plug.

5.Switch on the appliance.

6.Set the temperature regulator to obtain the maximum coldness and run the appliance for two or three hours using this setting.

7.Reload the previously removed food into the compartment.

Important! Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost as you could damage the appliance. Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the thawing process other than those recommended by the manufacturer. A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting, may shorten their safe storage life.

Periods of non-operation

When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take the following precautions:

1.Switch off the appliance.

2.Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

3.Remove all food.

4.Defrost and clean the appliance and all accessories.

5.Leave the lid open to prevent unpleasant smells.

Important! If the cabinet will be kept on, ask somebody to check it once in a while to prevent the food inside from spoiling in case of a power failure.

WHAT TO DO IF…

Caution! Before troubleshooting, disconnect the power supply.

Only a qualified electrician or competent person must do the troubleshooting that is not in this manual.

To obtain fast service, it is essential that when you apply for it you specify the model and serial number of your appliance which can be found either on the guarantee certificate or on the rating plate located on the external right side of the appliance.

Replacing the lamp

1.Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

2.Replace the used lamp with a new lamp of the same power and specifically designed for household appliances. (the maximum power is shown on the lamp cover)

3.Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.

4.Open the lid. Make sure that the lamp comes on.

Warning! Do not remove the lamp cover at the time of replacement.

Do not operate the freezer if the lamp cover is damaged or missing.

INSTALLATION

Positioning

Warning! If you are discarding an old appliance that has a lock or catch on the lid, you must ensure that it is made unusable to prevent young children being trapped inside.

Ventilation requirements

1.Put the freezer in horizontal position on a firm surface. The cabinet must be on all four feet.

2.Make sure that the clearance between the appliance and rear wall is 5 cm.

Huolto ja puhdistus

Asennus

Tärkeää Noudata tarkasti sähköliitäntää käsittelevessä kappaleessa annettuja ohjeita.

•Pura laite pakkauksestaan ja tarkista mahdolliset kuljetusvauriot. Vaurioitunutta laitetta ei saa kytkeä verkkovirtaan. Ilmoita mahdollisista vahingoista välittömästi jälleenmyyjälle. Säilytä tässä tapauksessa pakkausmateriaalit.

•Odota vähintään neljä tuntia ennen kuin kytket laitteen verkkovirtaan, jotta öljy ehtii virrata kompressoriin.

•Laitteen ympärillä on oltava hyvä ilmankierto, jotta ylikuumenemisen vaaraa ei ole. Noudata asennusohjeissa esitettyjä ilmanvaihtomääräyksiä.

•Laitetta ei saa sijoittaa lämpöpatterin tai lieden viereen.

•Varmista, että laitteen verkkovirtakytkentä on hyvin ulottuvilla laitteen asennuksen jälkeen.

Ympäristönsuojelu

KÄYTTÖ

Kytkeminen toimintaan

Kiinnitä pistoke pistorasiaan. Merkkivalo syttyy.

Käännä lämpötilan säädintä myötäpäivään.

Tärkeää Jos laitteen sisälämpötila on liian korkea, hälytysmerkkivalo syttyy.

Laitteen kytkeminen pois toiminnasta

Laite kytketään pois toiminnasta kääntämällä lämpötilan säädin asentoon OFF.

Lämpötilan säätäminen

Lämpötila säätyy automaattisesti. Laitetta käytetään seuraavasti:

•lämpötilaa säädetään lämpimimmälle asetukselle kääntämällä lämpötilan säädintä kohti asetusta .

•lämpötilaa säädetään kylmimmälle asetuk-

selle kääntämällä lämpötilan säädintä kohti asetusta .

Keskiasento on yleensä sopivin asetus.

Huomioi lämpötilan säätämisessä seuraavat siihen vaikuttavat asiat:

•huoneen lämpötila

•kuinka usein kantta avataan

•säilytettävien elintarvikkeiden määrä

•laitteen sijaintipaikka.

Action Freeze -toiminnon merkkivalo syttyy. 2 Toiminto kytkeytyy automaattisesti pois pääl-

tä 52 tunnin kuluttua.

Voit kytkeä toiminnon pois päältä milloin tahansa painamalla Action Freeze -toiminnon kytkintä. Action Freeze -toiminnon merkkivalo sammuu.

Korkean lämpötilan hälytys

Kun lämpötila kohoaa pakastimessa (esimerkiksi sähkökatkon aikana):

•hälytysmerkki valo syttyy

•kuuluu merkkiääni.

Summeri voidaan kytkeä pois hälytysvaiheen aikana painamalla hälytyksen nollauspainiketta.

Älä pane elintarvikkeita pakastimeen hälytystilan aikana.

Kun lämpötila on palautunut normaaliksi, hälytysmerkkivalo sammuu automaattisesti.
