CHEMICAL SENSING DEVICE

GENERAL

The Chemical Sensing Device senses the presence of liquid chemical in a tube as it passes through a sensor. This device is standard on model LT1 and SR24C warewashers built after January 1, 2005, and is an option on model SR24H warewashers built after January 1, 2005.

If one or more chemicals are not going to be used, the system can be set so that the related sensor is disabled. To disable the sensor, press the appropriate button until the light goes off. To reactivate a disabled sensor, make sure liquid chemical is present in the tubing and press the appropriate button again until the light turns on.

To Recalibrate Sensors

If the Chemical Sensing Device does not indicate the presence or absence of liquid chemical properly, it may be necessary to recalibrate the sensor by disabling and then reactivating the sensor. To disable the sensor, press the appropriate button until the light goes off. To reactivate a disabled sensor, make sure liquid chemical is present in the tubing and press the appropriate button again until the light turns on. If sensor is enabled while tube is empty, device may not operate properly. If the Chemical Sensing Device does not indicate the presence or absence of liquid chemical properly, contact your local Hobart Service office.
