This LCD product has a high number of color pixels.Although it has effective pixels of 99,999% or more,black dots or bright points of light (red,green or blue) may appear constantly on the screen.This is a structural property of the display (within common industry standards) and is not a malfunction.

Mains fus e (UK only)

ThisTV is fitted with an approved moulded plug.Should it become necessary to replace the mains fuse, this must be replaced with a fuse of the s ame value as indicated on the plug (example 10A).

1.Remove fuse cover and fuse.

2.The replacement fuse must comply with BS 1362 and have the ASTA approval mark.If the fuse is lost,contact your dealer in order to verify the correct type.

3.Refit the fuse cover.

In order to maintain conformity to the EMC directive,the mains plug on this product must not be detached from the mains cord.

The model and s erial number of your TV can be found on the back of the TV as w ell as on the packaging.

1.1Safety

Tw o people are required to lift and carry a TV that w eighs more than 25 kilos (55lb). Improper handling of the TV can res ult in s erious injury.

If trans porting the TV in low temperatures (lesss than 5°C), open the box and w ait until the TV matches the ambient temperature of the room before unpacking.

To avoid s hort circuit, do not expos e the TV, remote control or remote control batteries to rain or w ater.

Do not place vesss els of w ater or other liquids on top of or near the TV. Spilling liquids on the TV can caus e electric s hock. If liquids are s pilt on the TV, do not operate the TV. Immediately dis connect the TV from the mains and have the TV checked by a qualified technician.

Do not ins ert any s trange object into the ventilation s lots .This might lead to damage of the TV.

If the TV is mounted on a sww ivel bas e or sww ivel arm, ens ure no s train is placed on the pow er cord w hen the TV is sww ivelled. Strain on the pow er cord can loos en connections and caus e arcing or fire.

To avoid ris k of fire or electric s hock, do not place the TV, remote control or remote control batteries near naked flame s ources (e.g. lighted candles ) and other heat s ources including direct s unlight.

Do not ins tall the TV in a confined s pace s uch as a bookcas e. Leave a s pace of at leas t 10cm (four inches ) around the TV for ventilation. Be s ure air flow is not obs tructed.

If placing the TV on a flat, s olid s urface be s ure to us e only the s upplied s tand. Do not move the TV if the s tand is not properly s crew ed to the TV.

Wall mounting of the TV s hould only be performed by qualified pers onnel.The TV mus t only be mounted on an appropriate w all bracket and on a w all that can s afely hold the w eight of the TV. Improper w all mounting can res ult in s evere injury or damage. Do not attempt to w all mount the TV yours elf.

Dis connect the TV from the mains and antenna before lightning s torms . During lightning s torms do not touch any part of the TV, mains cord or antenna cable.

When dis connecting the TV from the mains , be s ure to:

Turn off the TV, then the mains pow er (if available).

Unplug the mains cord from the mains s ocket outlet.

Unplug the mains cord from the pow er connector at the back of the TV.Alw ays pull the mains cord by the plug. Do not pull the mains cord.

Permanent hearing losss can occur if you us e earphones or headphones at high volumes . Though high volume may s ound normal over time, it can damage your hearing.To protect your hearing, limit the amount of time you us e earphones or headphones at high volume.

1.2Screen care

Turn off and unplug the mains cord before cleaning the s creen. Clean the s creen w ith a s oft, dry cloth. Do not us e s ubs tances s uch as hous ehold cleaning agents as thes e may damage the s creen.

To avoid deformations or colour fading, w ipe off w ater droplets as s oon as posss ible.

Do not touch, pus h, rub or s trike the s creen w ith hard objects as this may damage the s creen permanently.

Where posss ible, avoid s tationary images that remain on-s creen for extended periods of time. Examples include s creen menus , teletext pages , black bars or s tock market tickers . If you mus t us e s tationary images , reduce the s creen contras t and brightnesss to avoid s creen damage.

1.3Environmental care
