After mounting the Dot Sight on your handgun or rifle, follow the procedures for reticle (Red Dot) alignment.

CAUTION

(1)Do not look directly into the sun through the Dot Sight. It will permanently damage your eye. This precaution applies to all optical devices such as cameras and binoculars.

(2)The Dot Sight is effectively sealed against moisture and dust. and will suffer no damage to the optical system if submerged or dropped in water to a maximum depth 2 meters for up to 5 minutes. To preserve the appearance of the Dot Sight, we suggest that it be dried and cleaned prior to storage. Use a soft cloth for cleaning metal surfaces and use photographic lens tissue or a lenspen to clean the Dot Sight's lenses.

3. Battery

CAUTION: When installing batteries, make sure the firearm is unloaded. Use safe firearm handling practices at all times.

Your Nikon Monarch Dot Sight is powered by one 3V lithium battery (CR2032 or equivalent). When your reticle grows dim or not light at all, you will need to replace the battery.

How to replace battery.

1.Hold the rheostat intensity dial tightly and turn the cover with a coin counterclockwise.

2.Take out the old battery and put a 3V Lithium Battery into the compartment. Be sure (+) side to be up.

3.Put the cover back and tighten it with a coin turning clockwise.

4.Turn the rheostat intensity dial to the desired position.

Please dispose of a lithium battery by a regular way based on a disposal regulation.

4. Mounting

CAUTION: Make sure the firearm is unloaded. Use safe firearm handling practices at all times.

CAUTION: Be sure to allow several inches of clearance between the sight's eyepiece and your eye to avoid injury due to recoil.

The Nikon Monarch Dot Sight has the integral built-in mount. Place the sight on the gun so that the elevation adjustment comes on top and windage dial at the right.

5. Adjustment of the Nikon Monarch Dot Sight

CAUTION: The following should be done at an approved range or other safe area, and firearm must be unloaded. Ear and eye protection is always recommended.

1.Place the firearm in a solid rest.

2.Select the suitable Dot size. It can be changed quickly and easily by turning the reticle selector knob. (Monarch Dot Sight VSD model only)

3.Illuminate the dot by turning the Rheostat Intensity Dial clockwise to brighten or counterclockwise to dim. The intensity reading of "1" is the dimmest and "11" is the brightest.

4.Remove the windage and elevation adjustment caps.

5.Sight through your Nikon Monarch Dot Sight and use the windage and elevation adjustments to align the Red Dot with the target.

6.Fire the several shot and make windage and elevation adjustments until the shot pattern is in the center of the target.

7.Each click of adjustment moves the point of impact by 1 MOA (approx. 1" at 100 yds, 1/2" at 50 yds.)
