23.CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane. Do not operate the kettle unless the element is fully immersed. Do not move while the kettle is switched on.

24.Scalding may occur if the Lid is removed during the brewing cycle.

25.To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

26.Refer to the “Care and Cleaning” section for instructions on cleaning the surfaces in contact with food.

Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or service technician install an outlet near the appliance.

A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord) should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripped over a longer cord.

Disposal of packing material

The packing material is recyclable and is marked with the recycle symbol . The various parts of the packing must therefore be disposed of responsibly and in full compliance with local authority regulations governing waste disposal.

Scrapping the product

-This appliance is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

-By ensuring this product is disposed

of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.

PRODUCT USAGE

OPERATING THE ELECTRIC KETTLE

Before using your Electric Kettle for the first time, wash the Kettle and Lid in hot, soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry. Fill the Electric Kettle with water to the MAX fill line; boil the water and then discard. To avoid damage, do not fully immerse the Electric Kettle in water, and do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Open the Lid of the Electric Kettle by pressing the Lid Release Button, then fill the Electric Kettle with clean, cold water

Push the Lid down so that it is completely closed.

NOTE: Water must be at or above the MIN fill line for the Electric Kettle to operate. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.

Place the Electric Kettle on the Base, and plug the Power Cord into an earthed outlet.

Flip the ON/OFF switch down; the ON indicator will light and the Electric Kettle will begin heating the water.

Once the water reaches boiling, the Electric Kettle will turn OFF automatically;

the ON/OFF switch will flip up, and the indicator light will dim to indicate that heating is complete.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to unplug the cord when the Electric Kettle is not in use.

CARE AND CLEANING

CLEANING THE ELECTRIC KETTLE

IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, always disconnect the Electric Kettle from the electrical outlet. Make sure the Electric Kettle has cooled completely.

The exterior of the Electric Kettle may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Dry and polish the Electric Kettle with a soft cloth.

Abrasives and scouring agents of any kind are not recommended.

CARE AND CLEANING

DESCALING THE ELECTRIC KETTLE

To get the best performance from your Electric Kettle, decalcification will be necessary. Calcium deposits may form on the interior metal parts of the Electric Kettle. The cleaning interval will depend on the hardness of the water you put in the Electric Kettle.

Fill the Electric Kettle with 0.25 L (1 cup) white vinegar. Add 0.75 L (3 cups) water. Boil and allow to stand overnight before emptying the solution.

Fill the Electric Kettle with water, bring to a boil, and drain out the water. Repeat this step twice. The Electric Kettle is now ready to use.

TERMS OF KITCHENAID GUARANTEE ("GUARANTEE")

KitchenAid Europa, Inc., Nijverheidslaan 3, Box 5, 1853 Strombeek-Bever, Belgium ("Guarantor") grants the end-customer, who is a consumer, a Guarantee pursuant to the following terms.

FOR U.K.:

The Guarantee applies in addition to and does not limit or affect the statutory warranty rights of the end-customer against the seller of the product. In summary, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says products must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. During the expected lifespan of your product your legal rights entitle you to the following:

-Up to 30 days: if your product is faulty, then you can get an immediate refund.

-Up to six months: if your product can't be repaired or replaced, then you're entitled to a full refund, in most cases.

-Up to six years: if your product does not last a reasonable length of time you may be entitled to some money back.

FOR IRELAND:

The Guarantee applies in addition to and does not limit or affect the statutory warranty rights of the end-customer against the seller of the product under the European Communities (Certain Aspects of the Sale of Consumer Goods and Associated Guarantees Regulations 2003 (S.I. No. 11/2003)) and other enactments governing the sale of consumer goods.

FOR SOUTH AFRICA:

The Guarantee applies in addition to and does not limit or affect the statutory warranty rights of the end-customer against the seller of the product. In summary, the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 says that products must be: (i) reasonably suitable for the purpose for which they are intended; (ii) in good working order, of good quality and free of any defects; (iii) useable and durable for a reasonable period of time, having regard to the use to which they would normally be put and to all the surrounding circumstances; and (iv) in compliance with any applicable standards or any other public regulations.

During the expected lifespan of your product and where the products are not purchased online, your legal rights will entitle you to the following:

-You will be entitled to a full refund, if you did not have the opportunity to examine the product before delivery and if you rejected delivery of the product on the basis that the type and quality of the product was not as reasonably expected or did not reasonably conform to the material specifications.

-Within 5 business days after delivery: you may rescind your purchase and request a refund, if your purchase resulted from direct marketing.

-Within 10 business days after delivery: you will be entitled to a full refund, if it is found that the product was unsuitable for a particular purpose specifically communicated to you by the Guarantor.

-Within 15 business days after delivery: you will be entitled to a refund if: (i) the product was not delivered to you; or (ii) if you returned the product to the Guarantor.

-Within 6 months after delivery: you will be entitled to a refund or a replacement product, if the product is defective or fails to operate in terms of its specifications.

Where you have purchased a product online your legal rights will be governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 and you will be entitled to the following:

-Within 7 days after conclusion of the transaction or after delivery: you may cancel your purchase without reason and without penalty.

-Within 30 days of the date of cancellation of the transaction: you will be entitled to receive a refund, if you have already made payment.

-You will only be liable for the direct costs of returning the product to the Guarantor.

The Guarantee applies in addition to and does not limit or affect the statutory warranty rights of the end-customer against the seller of the product.

1) SCOPE AND TERMS OF THE GUARANTEE

a)The Guarantor grants the Guarantee for the products mentioned under Section 1.b) which a consumer has purchased from a seller or a company of the KitchenAid-Group within the following countries: U.K., Ireland, or South Africa, or the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

b)The Guarantee period depends on the purchased product and is as follows:

c)The Guarantee period commences on the date of purchase, i.e. the date on which a consumer purchased the product from a dealer or a company of the KitchenAid-Group.

d)The Guarantee covers the defect-free nature of the product.

e)The Guarantor shall provide the consumer with the following services under this Guarantee, at the choice of the Guarantor, if a defect occurs during the Guarantee period:

-Repair of the defective product or product part, or

-Replacement of the defective product or product part. If a product is no longer available, the Guarantor is entitled to exchange the product for a product of equal or higher value.

g)The costs of repair, including spare parts, and any postage costs (if applicable) for the delivery of a defect-free product or product part shall be borne by the Guarantor. The Guarantor shall also bear the postage costs for returning the defective product or product part if the Guarantor or the country specific KitchenAid customer service centre requested the return of the defective product or product part. However, the consumer shall bear the costs of appropriate packaging for the return of the defective product or product part.

h)To be able to make a claim under the Guarantee, the consumer must present the receipt or invoice of the purchase of the product.

2) LIMITATIONS OF THE GUARANTEE

a)The Guarantee applies only to products used for private purposes and not for professional or commercial purposes.

b)The Guarantee does not apply in the case of normal wear and tear, improper or abusive use, failure to follow the instructions for use, use of the product at the wrong electrical voltage, installation and operation in violation of the applicable electrical regulations, and use of force (e.g. blows).

c)The Guarantee does not apply if the product has been modified or converted, e.g. conversions from 120 V products to 220-240 V products.

d)The provision of Guarantee services does not extend the Guarantee period, nor does it initiate the commencement of a new Guarantee period. The Guarantee period for installed spare parts ends with the Guarantee period for the entire product.

NUTZUNG DES WASSERKOCHERS

Waschen Sie den Wasserkocher und den Deckel vor der ersten Verwendung mit warmem Seifenwasser; spülen Sie mit sauberem Wasser nach und trocknen Sie die Teile. Füllen Sie den Wasserkocher bis zur MAX-Fülllinie mit Wasser, kochen Sie es auf und entsorgen Sie es dann. Um Schäden zu vermeiden, tauchen Sie den Wasserkocher nicht vollständig in Wasser ein und verwenden Sie keine Scheuermittel oder Scheuerhilfen (Topfreiniger).

Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Wasserkochers, indem Sie auf die Deckelentriegelungstaste drücken, und füllen Sie dann klares, kaltes Wasser ein.

Drücken Sie den Deckel nach unten, so dass er vollständig geschlossen ist.

HINWEIS: Damit der Wasserkocher funktioniert, muss Wasser mindestens bis zur MINFülllinie eingefüllt werden. Die MAX-Fülllinie darf nicht überschritten werden.

Sobald das Wasser kocht, schaltet sich der Wasserkocher automatisch AUS. Der EIN-/ AUS-Schalter springt wieder nach oben und die LED-Anzeige erlischt, um anzuzeigen, dass der Kochvorgang abgeschlossen ist.

Für eine optimale Leistung des Wasserkochers ist eine Entkalkung erforderlich. An den Metallteilen des Wasserkochers können sich Kalkablagerungen bilden. Das Reinigungsintervall hängt vom Härtegrad des Wassers ab, das Sie in den Wasserkocher geben.

Füllen Sie 0,25 l (1 Tasse) Weißweinessig in	Füllen Sie den Wasserkocher mit Wasser,

h)Die Kosten für die Reparatur, einschließlich der Ersatzteile, und die Portokosten für die Lieferung eines mangelfreien Produkts oder Produktteils trägt der Garantiegeber. Ebenso trägt der Garantiegeber die Portokosten für die Rücksendung des mangelhaften Produkts oder Produktteils, sofern die Einsendung des Produkts oder Produktteils von dem Garantiegeber oder dem länderspezifischen KitchenAid-Kundendienstzentrum gefordert wurde. Der Verbraucher hat jedoch die Kosten für eine angemessene Versendungsverpackung des Produkts bzw. des Produktteils zu tragen.

i)Voraussetzung für die Inanspruchnahme der Garantie ist die Vorlage des Kassenbelegs oder der Rechnung.

2) EINSCHRÄNKUNGEN DER GARANTIE

a)Die Garantie gilt nur für Produkte, die für private Zwecke genutzt werden. Wenn die Produkte für berufliche oder gewerbliche Zwecke verwendet werden, gilt die Garantie nicht.

b)Die Garantie gilt nicht im Fall von normalem Verschleiß, unsachgemäßer oder missbräuchlicher Verwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchsanweisung, Gebrauch des Produkts bei falscher elektrischer Spannung, Installation und Betrieb unter Verletzung der geltenden elektrischen Vorschriften, Gewaltanwendung (z.B Schläge).

c)Die Garantie gilt nicht, wenn das Produkt verändert oder umgebaut wurde, z.B. Umbauten von 120-V-Geräten zu 220-240-V-Geräten.

d)Garantieleistungen bewirken weder eine Verlängerung der Garantiefrist, noch setzen sie eine neue Garantiefrist in Lauf. Die Garantiefrist für eingebaute Ersatzteile endet mit der Garantiefrist für das ganze Gerät.

e)Nur für DEUTSCHLAND: Weitergehende oder andere Ansprüche insbesondere Ansprüche auf Schadensersatz sind soweit eine Haftung nicht zwingend gesetzlich vorgeschrieben ist, ausgeschlossen.

Avant d’utiliser votre bouilloire électrique pour la première fois, nettoyez la bouilloire et le couvercle dans de l’eau chaude savonneuse. Rincez-les à l’eau claire et essuyezles. Remplissez la bouilloire d’eau, jusqu’au repère de remplissage MAX ; faites bouillir, puis jetez l’eau. Pour éviter tout dommage, n’immergez pas la bouilloire électrique dans de l’eau et n’utilisez pas de produits abrasifs ni d’éponge à récurer.

Ouvrez le couvercle de la bouilloire électrique en appuyant sur le bouton d’ouverture du couvercle, puis remplissez la bouilloire électrique d’eau claire et fraîche

Poussez le couvercle vers le bas de manière à ce qu’il soit complètement fermé.

REMARQUE : le niveau d’eau doit être à la ligne de remplissage MIN ou au-dessus pour que la bouilloire électrique fonctionne. Ne dépassez pas la ligne de remplissage MAX.

Placez la bouilloire électrique sur la base et branchez le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise avec mise à la terre.

Baissez le bouton marche/arrêt ; le voyant MARCHE s’allume et la bouilloire électrique commence à chauffer l’eau.

Une fois que l’eau atteint l’ébullition, la bouilloire électrique s’éteint

automatiquement ; le bouton marche/arrêt bascule et le voyant s’éteint pour indiquer que la bouilloire a terminé.

IMPORTANT : veillez à débrancher le cordon lorsque la bouilloire électrique n’est pas utilisée.

IMPORTANT : avant de la nettoyer, débranchez toujours la bouilloire électrique de la prise électrique. Veillez à laisser refroidir complètement la bouilloire électrique.

La surface extérieure de la bouilloire électrique peut être nettoyée avec un chiffon humide. Séchez et essuyez la bouilloire électrique avec un chiffon doux. Il n’est pas recommandé d’utiliser des agents abrasifs et décapants de quelque nature que ce soit.

DÉTARTRAGE DE LA BOUILLOIRE ÉLECTRIQUE

Pour un fonctionnement optimal de votre bouilloire électrique, un détartrage est nécessaire. Des dépôts de calcaire peuvent se former sur les parties métalliques intérieures de la bouilloire électrique. L’intervalle de nettoyage dépend de la dureté de l’eau que vous versez dans la bouilloire électrique.

Remplissez la bouilloire électrique de 0,25 L (1 tasse) de vinaigre blanc. Ajoutez 0,75 L (3 tasses) d’eau. Faites bouillir et laissez reposer pendant la nuit avant de vider la solution.
