The ignition must be switched on before the hazard warning flashers can be used. Do not use the hazard warning flashers for longer than absolutely necessary. Note state of battery charge.

Avoid steep and uneven road surfaces when reversing. Take

great care to maintain your balance when reversing on wet, slippery, uneven, unpaved or muddy surfaces. Engage the reverser only when the motorcycle is at a standstill and do not press the starter pushbutton while engaging the reverser. Do not simultaneously press the pushbutton for the electro­hydraulic centre stand.

motorcycle – Keep both feet on the ground – Keep your feet well clear of

Do not engage cruise control when: – Riding on twisty roads with
poor forward vision
– Heavy traffic does not permit
you to maintain a constant road speed
– Riding on wet, unpaved or
dirty roads
The motorcycle might exceed your chosen cruise control speed if the engine's braking effect is insufficient on a down­hill gradient. It could also drop below this speed when you ride uphill.
For safety reasons, always keep both hands on the handle­bars.
Cruise control

With automatic cruise control, speed can be controlled in the range between 40 and 160 km/h (25 and 100 mph). When the motorcycle is at a stand­still and – ignition OFF – the sys­tem is switched off and the stored road speed is cancelled. The telltale light for cruise control is off. On a motorcycle fitted with BMW Integral ABS, the cruise­control system is not operational if the brake light is defective (red general warning light

Stepless acceleration
