These operating instructions are a component of the Electric AllPurpose Sharpener SEAS 60 A1 (henceforth designated as the
appliance) and they supply you with important information for the
intended use, safety and connection as well as operation of the
appliance. These operating instructions must constantly be kept
available close to the appliance. They are to be read and applied
by everyone assigned to operate and/or eliminate faults in the
appliance. Retain these operating instructions and hand them over
with the appliance to any future owners.

Intended use
This product is intended for use in a private household, for the
sharpening of straight edge knives and scissors with smooth
straight blades. Further, it is designed to grind smooth the blade
of fl at-head screwdrivers. This product is intended for neither the
sharpening of nail scissors with curved blades not for commercial
or industrial applications.

Setting up and connecting to the power

Unwrap the cable from the cable retainer on the underside of the 1)

Sharpening

Select the appropriate grinder opening for the knife 1) 1/ the

Knife with a smooth edge
NOTE
For sharpening a knife, always use both openings for grinding

Hold the knife by its handle with your right hand and smoothly 1)
pull it, from the handle to the blade tip, towards yourself (see foldout page). Thereby, maintain the contour of the knife. Take note

Carry through a circular motion from the hilt to the tip of the 2)

Now repeat the same step on the knife in the other grinder open-3)

Repeat steps 1-3 until the desired sharpness has been achieved.4)

Scissor edge

Open the scissors out and, with your right hand, draw the fi rst 1)
blade of the scissors, from the grip to the blade tip, through the
grinder opening 3 and towards yourself (see fold-out page).
Proceed the same way with the other blade of the scissors.2)
Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the desired sharpness has been 3)
achieved.
Flat-head screwdriver
Appropriate to its width, insert the screwdriver into one of the two 1)
grinder openings 2 on the front of the appliance (see fold/out
page). Apply only a light pressure.
Pull out the screwdriver out and rotate it through 180° on its longi-2)
tudinal axis. Reinsert it into the appropriate grinder opening 2 and
apply a light pressure. The end face of the screwdriver will now be
ground level and fl at.
Check the result. If necessary, repeat steps 1 and 2.3)

date. This appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.

your goods be assured.
