Assembly Manual
Read this manual before using the product in order to achieve maximum performance. Keep this manual in a safe place after reading it so that it can be used at any time.
The following symbols alert you to important messages. Be sure to read these messages carefully.
It indicates a situation which, if not avoided, could result in product damage as well as property damage.
It indicates tips for better understanding or useful information.

How to assemble the connector

When the cable length of the sensor head is changed, be sure to connect the amplifier to check that it operates correctly.
5 Close the connector to crimp with a tool such as a parallel plier
(commercially available).
6 Close the upper tab to lock the cables, and then trim off the wires
sticking out of the connector by using a nipper or the like.
• lFor re-installation of the connector, limit it to 2 times. If it is done more than 2 times, use the special OP-87305.
• As opposed to the OP-87305 or the OP-66850, it is not necessary to use the connector crimping tool. If it is used in error, it may cause a break in the wiring so do not use the connector crimping tool.
1 Release the tabs on the
connector hood and pull out the connector in the direction of the arrow.
(The LV Series does not have the connector hood)
2 Hold the IDC connector so that
the back side (side where the wires can be seen) is facing forward. Push the upper tab in the direction of arrow (1) and then open the back side in the direction of arrow (2).
3 Cut the cables to the appropriate length, and manipulate the end of the
cables as shown in the figure below.
• Peel back the insulation 20 mm from the end.
• Cut the copper shielded wire at its root. (Cut the white string likewise.)
• Twist the silver shielded wire about five times so it does not ravel, and bend it 90° to the side.
4
Insert the core wires to the very end of the connector hole of the matching sticker color, and bend the silver shielded wires while pulling each one of them along the grooves in the direction of the arrow.
7 Firmly insert the connector
into the connector hood.
(The LV Series does not have the connector hood.)
The OP-87305 and the OP-66850 can distinguished in the fashions below.
