About This Manual
This manual contains information about communicating data by connecting either
of the network units listed below and sensor amplifiers.
Compatible network units
CC-Link compatible network unit, NU-CL1
DeviceNet compatible network unit, NU-DN1
For specific communication procedures, refer to the manual of each network unit.
For the functions of sensor amplifiers, refer to the manual of each sensor amplifier.

The external input can be used after configuring the "Control Input"parameter
of each sensor. (By default, "Control Input" is set to "0: Not use.") The models
FS-N10/N12* do not have an external input wire, but they can utilize external
input via network by using a network unit.

There are functions that cannot be set (used) in duplicate. When such functions are
set through communication, the function of lower priority is invalidated while remaining in the set state or is deactivated.
The following table summarizes the functions that cannot be set in duplicated, and
their operations.

TAG String Code Table
When strings are stored in the "TAG Strings" parameters, the "Sub Display" parameter can be set to "TAG Strings" so that the amplifier displays the strings contained in
the "TAG Strings" parameters. The character strings available with the FS-N10 series
are as follows:
* If you specify any code that is not assigned to the 7-segment display, the code is
displayed as a blank space on the sensor amplifier.
