Sign Vinyl Application Guide
ITEMS REQUIRED:
XP6200 - Scissors
SQU-W - Squeegee XP6421 - Masking Tape
A Starter Sign Making Kit can be purchased under the product code XP6100
STEP BY STEP
Step 1
Place graphics onto vehicle/substrate and attach using two pieces of masking tape and adjust until in correct position.
Step 2
When in position, place a line of masking tape along the bottom edge and remove the two small pieces of tape.
Step 3
Fold the graphics downwards and then peel the backing paper away at 45 degrees.
Step 4
Hold both the free corners, lift up, press one corner down and hold the other side away from the vehicle/substrate
Step 5
Using a squeegee, starting from the side that is pressed down, apply firm pressure and work from the bottom and apply upwards.
Step 6
Once you have worked all the way across, remove the application tape working at a 45 degree angle and back on itself.
Tips: If doing long lines of text, the graphics can be cut to make smaller sections easier to apply. (between steps
3 & 4) Tape hinge at the bottom as the text will hang without touching the surface. Hinge from the top and you will need to hold away from surface. Water can be sprayed to the graphics to make easier application on larger more difficult logos/text. Always make sure the water has been pressed out and allowed to dry before removing application tape. Pulling application tape towards you from the vehicle/substrate will run the risk of pulling the logo/text away with it.
