INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Your hair clipper is designed to help you maintain a range of hairstyles for years to come. For best cutting performance we recommend you read these instructions thoroughly and keep them in a safe place.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following.

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER

•Always unplug it immediately after using.

•Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink.

•Do not use while bathing.

•Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.

•Sinbo strongly recommends that an approved Safely Switch (residual current device) be fitted to protect all bathroom power outlets. Ask an electrical contractor for advice.

•Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water. If any of these things happen, return the appliance to an authorized service centre for examination and repair.

•Never drop or insert any object into any of the appliance's openings.

•Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where

•Make sure the cord is disconnected from the hair clipper while storing this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F).

•Do not use this appliance with a damaged or broken cutter unit, as injury may occur. Always make sure blades are aligned properly.

•Always attach plug to appliance and then the adaptor to the outlet. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF, then remove adaptor from outlet, then detach power cord from the hair clipper for storage.

•Do not use an extension cord or a voltage converter with this appliance.

•Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.

BEFORE CUTTING HAIR

The blades of this clipper are designed to remain permanently lubricated. They do not need oiling. We have aligned the blades on your hair clipper prior to shipment. It is possible the blades may be bumped out of alignment whilst in transit. Correct blade alignment is essential for effective cutting.

Compare the blade position on your hair clipper with the images shown on the left. If the blades are out of alignment they can be easily adjusted.

1.The end of the top blade should be closer to the body of the hair clipper than the bottom blade. This is important so that the clipper doesn't cut too close or allow the moving (top) blade to touch the skin.

2.The bottom blade should be as closely aligned as possible to the centre of the top blade.

3.If the blades are not correctly aligned, turn the clipper on for a few moments, turn off and unplug. Loosen the two screws slightly and manually adjust the bottom blade until it is aligned. Re-tighten the screws.

4.Ensure the hair clipper is running smoothly, with a slight vibration, before attempting to cut any hair.

GETTING STARTED

1.Make sure your clipper is operating correctly.

2.Place a cape around the neck of the person whose hair is being trimmed or cut.

3.This person should be seated so that the top of their head is at your eye level.

4.Comb the hair as it is normally styled.

5.Comb out all knots and tangles.

6.Hold the hair clipper In the palm of one hand and with your thumb resting firmly on the top of the hair clipper. This grip proves comfortable cutting control. Although the hair clipper be used left or right handed, using it right handed allows you to access the taper lever more easily.

7. Ensure the hair is dry. Hair clippers perform best with dry hair, making it easier to see how much hair is being cut.

TO ATTACH TRIMMING GUIDES

1.Select an appropriate length trimming guide to match the desired length of hair to remain after the cut. The trimming guides are numbered and marked with 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm

2.Hold comb with teeth up, slide the attachment firmly onto

the bottom clipper blade.

FOR UNIFORM CUTTING

Allow the clipper to cut through the hair without forcing it at a faster rate, as this may create a pulling sensation.

Use short strokes when cutting and initially use the longest trimming guide. You can always use a closer trimming guide later if you want a closer cut.

HOW TO GIVE A HAIRCUT

1.Start at the back of the head. Holding the clipper as shown, lightly stroke upwards making sure you are taking off the desired amount of hair. Work your way up to the crown of the head in layers. When completed, comb the area to remove any loose hair and determine if you need any further cutting.

2.Repeat the same procedure for each side of the head. Make sure the length of the hair is trimmed the same on both sides of the head.

3.To cut the top of the head, hold the hair between your fingers and cut a small amount at a time. Cut from the front to the back.

4.To trim around the ears and short hairs at the nape of the neck, you must remove the trimming guide. Angle the clipper and lightly stoke around each ear to the back of the neck. Be careful not to touch ears or to press too hard.

5.Final trim can be made with the hair clipper or the scissors. Make sure to check over the entire head for any uneven areas. For styled hair or giving quick trims, you may prefer using your hair clipper without the trimming guide.

6.The adjustable taper level allows you to gradually change the closeness of the cut, either with or without a trimming guide. When the lever is fully forward the blades will give the closest cut. Moving the lever gradually backwards increases the cutting length.

SHORT TAPERED STYLES - "FLAT TOPS" & SHORT CUTS

1.Starting with the longest attachment comb (25mm), cut from the back of the neck to the crown. Hold the attachment comb flat against the head and slowly move the clipper through the hair, as shown.

2.Use the same procedure from the lower side to the upper side of the head,

as illustrated. Then cut the hair against the direction In which it grows and level with the sides.

3.To give a "flat top" look, the hair on top of the head must be cut over the top of a flat comb.

4.Use closer cutting attachment combs to taper the hair down to the neckline as desired.

STORAGE

When not in use, unplug it and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully for long life, and avoid jerking, twisting or straining especially at plug connections.

This product is not suitable to use in a bath or shower.

•Branchez premièrement la fiche à l’appareil puis l’adaptateur à la prise. Eteignez toutes les commandes pour débrancher la connexion puis débranchez l’adaptateur de la prise et le cordon d’alimentation de la tondeuse pour ranger l’appareil.

•Ne pas utiliser de rallonge ou de convertisseur de tension avec cet appareil.

•Ne pas enrouler le cordon autour de l’appareil.

AVANT DE COUPER VOS CHEVEUX

Les lames de tondeuse sont conçues pour rester en permenance huileux. Il ne faut pas les engraisser. Les lames sont rangées avant la livraison. Il est possible que la rangée des lames a émergé pendant le transport. Il faut une rangée correcte pour la coupe efficace.

Comparez la position de la lame avec les figures indiquées à gauche. Si les lames ne sont pas rangées , elles peuvent facilement réglées.

1.L’extrémité de la lame supérieure doit être plus proche au corps de tondeuse selon la lame inférieure. Ceci est important afin que la lame ne coupera pas trop près ou ne permettra pas à la lame ( en haut) d'entrer en contact avec la peau.

2.Il faut aligner la lame inférieure au milieu de la lame supérieure aussi proche que possible.

3.Si les lames ne sont pas alignées correctement, allumez l'appareil puis éteignez et débranchez de la fiche. Deserrez les deux vis et réglez manuellement la lame inférieure jusqu’à ce qu’elle aligne.

Re-serrez les vis.

4.Assurez vous que la tondeuse fonctionne correctement avec une vibration légère avant la coupe des cheveux.

MISE EN MARCHE

1.Assurez –vous que la tondeuse fonctionne correctement.

2.Placez une serviette autour de votre cou ou du cou de la personne à qui vous devez couper les cheveux.

3.Faites s’asseoir la personne afin que sa tête soit au niveau de vos yeux.

4.Peignez les cheveux de manière normale.

5.Peignez toutes les parties de la chevelure emmêlée.

6.Maintenez serrement la tondeuse à cheveux dans une main et votre pouce à la partie supérieure de la tondeuse. La maintient de cette façon vous permettra une coupe confortable. Bien que la tondeuse peut être utilisée avec la main gauche ou droite, l’utilisation de la main gauche vous permet d’accéder facilement à la manche pointue.

7.Assurez vous que les cheveux sont secs. La tondeuse à cheveux vous offre le meilleur rendement avec les cheveux secs en fournissant la vue de coupe des cheveux.

POSER LES GUIDES DE COUPE

1.Séléctionnez un guide de coupe de longueur approprié afin de répondre à la longueur de cheveux souhaitée après le coupe. Les guides de coupe sont numérotés de manière 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm.

2.Maintenez les dents de peigne vers le haut, insérez serrement la pièce vers la lame de coupe inférieure.

POUR UNE COUPE CORRECTE

Sans l’obligeant à agir vite, utilisez l’appareil pour la coupe, cela peut causer une sensation de traction.

Utilisez les coups courts pendant la coupe et utilisez premièrement le guide de coupe la plus longue. Si vous souhaitez une coupe plus proche, vous pouvez utiliser un guide plus proche.

COUPE DE CHEVEUX

1.Commencez à partir de l’arrière de la tête. Déplacez légèrement l’appareil vers le haut en tenant la tondeuse comme indiqué au figure, assurez vous que vous avez coupé

les cheveux selon la quantité désirée. Avancez vers le haut de la chevelure dans les couches. Peignez la partie que vous avez coupé lorsque vous avez terminé la coupe et vérifiez si vous devez faire une autre coupe.

2.Répétez la même opération pour chaque côté de la tête. Assurez-vous que

la longueur des cheveux des deux côtés de la tête est la même.

3.Maintenez les cheveux entre vos doigts pour couper ceux au sommet de la tête et coupez une petite quantité à la fois. Coupez de l’avant vers l’arrière.

4.Vous devez retirer le guide de coupe pour couper les poils autour de l’oreille et sur la nuque. Réglez la lame et faites légèrement des coups autour de chaque oreille et sur la nuque. Soyez prudent pour ne pas toucher les oreilles ou ne pas presser.

5.La dernière coupe peut être faite avec la tondeuse à cheveux ou avec les ciseaux. Assurez vous que vous avez bien contrôlé toute la tête afin de trouver une coupe non correcte. Vous pouvez préferer d'utiliser la tondeuse à cheveux sans placer le guide de coupe pour la chevelure en forme ou les coupes rapides.

6.La manche pointue réglable vous permet de régler progressivement la mesure du raccourcissement de la coupe avec ou sans le guide de coupe. Les lames

feront la coupe la plus courte lorsque la situation de la manche est complètement vers l’avant. Déplacer la manche progressivement vers l’arrière va augmenter la longueur de la coupe.

STYLES COURT ET NET- “ PARTIES SUPÉRIEURES LISSES” ET LES COUPES COURTES

1.En commançant par la plus longue peigne supplémentaire (25mm), coupez à partir de l’arrière du nuque vers la partie supérieure. Maintenez la peigne supérieure en face de la tête et faites passer l’appareil lentement dans les cheveux comme indiqué au figure.

2.Réalisez la même opération de la partie inférieure de la tête vers la partie

supérieure comme indiqué au figure. Ensuite, coupez les cheveux à l’encontre de la direction prolongée et corrigez par les côtes.

3.Il faut couper les cheveux à la partie supérieure de la tête avec l’extrémité plate pour donner l’apparence d’une “ partie supérieure lisses”.

4.Utilisez les peignes supplémentaires de coupe courte pour le rasage pointu vers le niveau de nuque comme vous le souhaitez

CONSERVER L’APPAREIL

Débranchez l’appareil lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas et conservezle dans un endroit sec et hors de portée des enfants. Ne jamais enrouler le cordon autour de l’appareil afin d'éviter l'usure et la rupture du cordon. Manipulez le cordon avec soin et ne pas le tirer, plier ou étirer surtout au niveau de connexion des fiches.

Cet appareil n’est pas conçu pour être utilisé dans la baignoire ou sous la douche.
