INSTRUCTION MANUAL

INTRODUCTION

Use this digital luggage scale to weigh suitcases and other pieces of luggage. You can hang your luggage from the built-in hook or strap. The luggage scale can display weight in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lb). The scale is powered by a 3V lithium round cell battery, type CR2032.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•Read this instruction manual carefully before using the product.

•If you pass on the device to a third party, please include this instruction manual as well.

•This device complies with technical norms and safety requirements for electric devices.

•The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or non-observance of this instruction manual.

•Keep children away from the device.

•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Notes for batteries

•If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly. Ensure that leaking battery acid does not come into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get battery acid in your eyes, flush them thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately! If battery acid comes into contact with your skin, wash the affected area with lots of water and soap.

•If the device is not to be used for an extended period of time, then the batteries should be removed, as the device could become damaged should they leak. If the device functions weaken, replace all batteries.

•Batteries are very dangerous if swallowed. Please keep the batteries and the device components away from children at all times. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

•Batteries must not be recharged or activated with other means, dismantled, thrown into fire or short circuited.

•Remove the battery prior to disposing of the device.

COMPONENTS

PREPARATION

1.Remove all packaging materials and check the device and accessories for damages.

2.Clean the unit as described in Cleaning and Maintenance. Heed all safety instructions when doing so.

3.One 3 V lithium round cell battery, type CR2032, is installed in your luggage scale upon delivery. Remove the protective foil from the battery compartment (4) to make contact. The scale is ready for use.

INSERTING/REPLACING BATTERY

1.Remove the battery compartment cover (5).

2.Remove the used battery and dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly way, according to legal regulations.

3.Place a 3 V lithium round cell battery, type CR2032, in the battery compartment. Heed correct polarity. The batteries plus side must face upwards.

4.The LCD display (1) turns on and shows 0.00, as well as kg. The LCD display turns off automatically

after about 1 minute.

5.To close the battery compartment, replace the cover and click it into place.

6.Change the battery when the LCD display shows the symbol .

USE

1.Feed the carrying strap (7) through the opening in the handle of the piece of luggage you wish to weigh. Hold the scale by the handle (6).

2.Connect the hook (3) underneath the scale, as depicted in the adjacent illustration.

3.Push the button(2) to turn on the scale. The LCD display shows 0.00, as well as kg.

4.Lift the piece of luggage and read its weight in the LCD display.

5.If the scale is overloaded, EEEE appears in the LCD display.

6.To switch from kg to lb (pounds), push the buttononce directly after turning on the scale kg blinks in the display. Push the buttonagain.

The display changes from kg to lb. After about 3 seconds the display shows

0.0, as well as lb. When turned on again, the display automatically shows 0.00, as well as kg again.

7.Hold the buttonfor about 3 seconds to turn off the scale.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution! Always remove the battery from the battery compartment before cleaning.

Caution! Never use alcohol, acetone, benzene, aggressive cleaning agents, etc. for cleaning. Also, do not use hard brushes or metal objects.

General

Clean the housing with a slightly damp rag. Take care that no water enters the openings in the housing. After cleaning, dry the scale thoroughly before further use.

Environmental Safety

Disposal of old electric devices.

The European directive 2002/96/EC for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) states

that used household devices should not be disposed of with unsorted community waste. These used devices must be collected separately from household waste in order to increase the percentage of recovered devices and to recycle their parts, with the goal of reducing the negative effects on human health and on the environment.

The symbol of the crossed out garbage can will be stamped onto all devices as a reminder of the obligation to put them in a separate garbage collection. The consumer must consult local authorities or the vendor to inform themselves about the manner in which their device should be disposed of.

Batteries do not belong in household waste! Expired batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and according to the applicable legal regulations.

MODE D’EMPLOI

INTRODUCTION

Cette balance valise est utilisée pour peser les valises et les pièces de valise. Vous pouvez passer la sangle ou le crochet sur la poignée de la valise. Vous pouvez choisir entre (kg) kilogramme ou (Ib) pound pour le pesage. La balance fonctionne avec 3V pile ronde au lithium de type CR2032.

Remarques pour des piles

•N’exposez pas des piles à une chaleur excessive telles que la lumière du soleil , l’incendie etc.

•Utilisez uniquement des piles de très haute qualité.Les piles de faible qualité peuvent couler et endommager l’appareil.

•Si les piles coulent, retirez -les par un chiffon et jetez d'une façon approprié. Évitez de contacter l'acide coulée de la pile avec les mains et les yeux. Si l'acide de la pile pénètre dans vos yeux, lavez vos yeux soigneusement et consultez immédiatement un médecin! Si l'acide contacte avec la peau, lavez la zone touchée avec de l’eau et du savon.

•Enlevez les piles , si vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pendant une longue durée. Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas suffisamment , changez toutes les piles.

•En cas d’avaler, les piles peuvent être dangereuses. Tenez les piles et leurs composants hors de la portée des enfants. Si la pile est avalée, consultez immédiatement un médecin.

•Les batteries ne doivent pas être rechargées ou activées par d’autres moyens, enlevées, jetées dans le feu ou faites en court-circuit.

COMPOSANTS

PRÉPARATION

1.Retirez tous les emballages et contrôlez l’appareil et les accessoires.

2.Nettoyez l’unité comme indiqué à la section Nettoyage et Entretien. Suivez les instructions de sécurité.

3.1x 3V pile ronde au lithium, type CR2032 est montée à la balance valise.

Retirez le film de protection du compartiment des piles pour obtenir le contact. (4) La balance est prête à fonctionner.

INSÉRER / ENLEVER LES PILES

1.Retirez le couvercle du compartiment des piles. (5)

2.Enlevez la pile usagée et éliminez conformément aux réglementations locales et de manière respectueuse à l’environnement.

3.Insérez 3V la pile ronde au lithium , type CR2032 dans le compartiment des piles. S’assurer que les piles sont insérées avec la bonne polarité. La polarité + des piles doit être orientée vers le haut.

4.Écran LCD (1) s’allume et 0.00 kg apparait sur l’écran. L‘écran s’arrête d’elle –même après environ

11minutes.

5.Fermez le compartiment des piles, retirez le couvercle et insérez –le à sa place.

6.Si l’écran LCD affiche le symbole, remplacez les piles .

UTILISATION

1.Passez la sangle sur la poignée de la valise (7). Tenez la balance avec la poignée (6).

2.Raccordez le crochet (3) à la partie inférieure de la balance comme indiqué au figure.

3.Pressez la touche(2) pour allumer la balance. L’écran LCD affiche 0.00 et kg.

4.Soulevez la valise et lisez le poids sur l’écran LCD.

5.Si le poids est trop élevé, l'écran affiche EEEE.

6.Pour choisir entre kg et Ib (pound), allumez la balance et appuyez une

fois sur la touche . Kg apparait sur l’écran. Appuyez encore une fois sur la touche.

L’écran retourne de kg à Ib. L’écran apparait 0.00 et Ib environ après 3 secondes. Si vous reallumez l'écran,il affiche automatiquement 0.00 et kg.

7.Maintenir appuyée la touchependant 3 secondes pour arrêter la balace.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

Avertissement! Enlevez toujours les piles du compartiment avant le nettoyage

Avertissement! N’utilisez aucun dissolvant ou d'agent abrasif pour le nettoyage N’utilisez pas des objets métalliques ou des éponges grattantes.

Entretien

Nettoyez le compartiment par un chiffon humide. Évitez de contacter de l’eau avec des ouvertures du compartiment. Séchez l'appareil attentivement après le nettoyage.
