You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instruc-
tions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of
these operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and
only for the specifi ed areas of application. In addition, pass these documents on,
together with the product, to any future owner.

Intended use
This hair straightener is intended for smoothing human hair, and must never be
used for wigs and hairpieces made from synthetic material. The hair straightener is
for domestic use only. Please pay attention to all of the information in this operating
manual, particularly the safety instructions. The appliance is not intended for
commercial use.
Any other or any additional use is considered as improper use. Claims of any kind
for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted. The operator alone
bears liability.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Connect the appliance only to correctly installed
mains power sockets that supply a current rating
of 220 - 240 V ~ / 50 Hz.
► The power cable on this appliance cannot be
replaced. In the event of it being damaged the
whole appliance must be disposed of.
► In the event of operating malfunctions, and before
cleaning the appliance, disconnect the plug from
the mains power socket.
► To disconnect the power cable, always pull the plug
from the socket, do not pull the power cable itself.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Ensure that the power cable does not become
wet or moist during use. Place it such that it cannot be crushed or damaged.
► Should the appliance, the power cable or the plug
become damaged, arrange for them to be repaired by Customer Services to avoid risk of
injury.
► Do not use the appliance outdoors.
► Do not wrap the power cable around the appli-
ance and protect it from being damaged. Under
no circumstances may the appliance be submersed in fl uids or fl uids be allowed to permeate
the housing. Do not expose the appliance to
humidity and do not use it outdoors. Should liquids
enter the housing, disconnect the appliance from

the mains power socket immediately and arrange
for it to be repaired by a qualifi ed technician.
► In order that you can disconnect the appliance
quickly in an emergency, do not use extension
cables.
► Never grasp the appliance, the power cable or
the power plug with wet hands.
► Unplug the appliance immediately after use.
The appliance is completely free of electrical
power ONLY when unplugged.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sinks, baths or other vessels.
The proximity of water presents a risk, even
when the appliance is switched off . Always
disconnect the plug from the mains power
socket after use. As additional protection,
the installation of a faulty-current protection
unit with an activation power rating of not
more than 30 mA is recommended for the
power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
► Do not crimp or crush the power cable and
lay it in such a way as to prevent anyone from
stepping on or tripping over it.

► Never leave a switched-on appliance unsupervised.
► Never place the appliance close to sources of
heat, and protect the power cable from damage.
► Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained
a fall or is damaged in any way. Arrange for the
appliance to be checked and/or repaired by
qualifi ed technicians.

► Do not open the housing or attempt to repair the
appliance yourself. Should you do so, the safety
concept can no longer be assured and the warranty will become void. Permit only authorised
technicians to repair a defective appliance if repairs
should be necessary.

age of 8 years or more and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they

Before straightening

special products that support a straightening of the hair.

Straightening hair
■ Prepare the hair as described in "Before straightening".
■ Start with the lower hair pieces at the back of the head. Work over the sides
to the fr

1) Separate a ca. 3 cm wide hair strand.
WARNING - RISK OF BURNS!
► Ensure that you do not touch the scalp or other skin on the body with the
hot plates 4.
► During the procedure you may only take hold of the appliance by the
handle!

Clamp the strand of hair close to the scalp between the hot plates 4 and
press them together.
3) Draw the entire strand of hair through the hot plates 4 by pulling the hair
straightener downwards.
4) Repeat the process with each individual strand.
5) When you have smoothed all of the strands, slide the on/off switch 1
to "0". The control lamp 2 extinguishes.
6) Remove the power plug from the wall socket.
7) Press the hot plates 4 together and slide the restraining device 3 to the
position

Safety switch off
This appliance is fi tted with a safety switch-off .
After approx. 30 minutes, and without activation of the on/off switch 1, the
appliance switches itself off automatically. After approx. 25 minutes the control
lamp 2 starts to blink, to remind you it is about to switch off automatically.
Should you wish to continue using it for longer than 30 minutes, switch the appliance off and then immediately back on. The 30 minutes start from the beginning
again.
NOTICE
► The safety switch-off is not intended to replace switching the appliance
manually with the on/off switch 1! It is only for your safety, should you
off

Warranty and Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The
appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before
delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way
can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
► The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, not
ansport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components,
for tr
e.g. bulbs or switches.
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial applications. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of
force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.
The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This
applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi-
ately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

termék része. Fontos tudnivalókat tartalmaz a biztonságra, használatra és ártalmatlanításra vonatkozólag. A termék használata előtt ismerkedjen meg a használati és biztonsági utasításokkal. Csak a leírtak szerint és a megadott célokra

A hajegyenesítő emberi haj, nem pedig paróka és szintetikus anyagból készült
hajtincsek kisimítására szolgál. A hajegyenesítőt kizárólag magánjellegű célokra
szabad használni. Vegye fi gyelembe az ebben a kezelési utasításban található
összes információt, különösen a biztonsági utasításokat. A készülék nem üzleti
használatra készült.
Ettől eltérő vagy ezen túlmenő hasznlálat nem minősül rendeltetésszerűnek.
A nem rendeltetésszerű használatból eredő kár miatti bármilyen igény ki van
zárva. A kockázatot egyedül az üzemeltető viseli.

A csomagolás ártalmatlanítása
A csomagolás védi a készüléket a szállítás közben előfordulható károktól.
A csomagolóanyagok környezetbarát módon és a hulladékszétválasztás szempontja szerint kerültek kiválasztásra, ezért újrahasznosíthatóak.
Nyersanyagot takarít meg és csökkenti a hulladékmennyiséget, ha a csomagolást
visszajuttatjuk az anyagkörforgásba. A kiselejtezett csomagolóanyagokat a helyi
érvényes előírásoknak megfelelően helyezze el a hulladékban.

ÁRAMÜTÉS VESZÉLYE
► Kapcsolja a készüléket egy előírásszerűen
beszerelt dugaszoló aljzatba, melynek 220 240 V ~ / 50 Hz a feszültsége.
► A készülék hálózati csatlakozóvezetékét nem
szabad kicserélni! A vezeték sérülése esetén ki
kell selejtezni a készüléket.
► Üzemzavar esetén és a készülék tisztítása előtt
húzza ki a csatlakozót a konnektorból.
► A hálózati kábelt mindig a dugasznál fogva
húzza ki a dugaszoló aljzatból, ne magát a
kábelt húzza.

ÁRAMÜTÉS VESZÉLYE
► Figyeljen arra, hogy használat közben a hálózati
kábel ne legyen vizes vagy nedves. Úgy helyezze
el a kábelt, hogy az ne szoruljon be vagy más
módon se sérülhessen meg.
► Amennyiben a készülék, a hálózati kábel vagy
a csatlakozó meg van sérülve, cseréltesse ki a
vevőszolgálattal, hogy elkerülje a veszélyeket.
► Ne használja a készüléket a szabadban.
► Ne tekerje a vezetéket a készülék köré és védje
a sérülésektől. A készüléket nem szabad folyadékba meríteni és hagyni, hogy folyadék jusson
a készülékházba. Tilos a készüléket nedvességnek kitenni, valamint a szabadban használni.
Ha mégis folyadék kerülne a készülékházba,
azonnal húzza ki a készülék hálózati dugóját
a csatlakozó aljzatból és javíttassa képzett
szakemberrel.

► Ne használjon hosszabbítót, hogy a csatlakozó
vészhelyzetben gyorsan elérhető legyen.
► Ne fogja meg nedves kézzel az eszközt, a háló-
zati kábelt és a hálózati dugót.
► Használat után rögtön kapcsolja le a hálózatról a
készüléket. A készülék csak akkor teljesen árammentes, ha a csatlakozót kihúzta a konnektorból.
