1. BEFORE OPERATING

Dear Customer,

Thank you for preferring the domestic appliance manufactured by REDMOND.

Steam cooker is an excellent combination of taste and usefulness. Redmond attach great importance not only to excellent functional qualities and modern design, but also to excellent mood of owners of our hardware and careful processing of food.

During preparation of dishes special conditions are created in the steam cooker. Enclosed space of the appliance is filled with hot steam, which surrounds the food from all sides. Fish or meat and other products are warmed and brought to readiness quicker. Hot steam warms more evenly than burning air of an oven. Steam is condensed upon the surface of products and the heat is gradually transferred inside the product.

At that, steam has high moisture and thermal inertia. Your appliance provides quick heat transfer and even treatment, economy of time and electric power in comparison with cooking upon the panel of burners or in oven. Due to the fact that the products are not in water, the most important vitamins, as well as mineral substances are kept in them practically to the full.

Products prepared in steam contains more vitamin C by about 50% than products after ordinary brewing. And this means that one can enjoy natural, rich taste of dishes, in which one would not have to add salt, condiments and oil. Advantages of steam cooker become obvious when we consider dietary and baby food.

Food, prepared in steam, does not contain excess calories, keeps initial view and taste of products.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARD

During operation of appliance, observe instructions given below.

In case of correct use, it will serve you for long years.

Prior to connecting to socket check whether mains voltage corresponds to appliance feeding voltage.

This can be found in technical data or upon factory plate, located upon the steam cooker bottom.

If you want to use extension cord, make sure that it is designed for appliance consumed power. Different current voltage can result in short circuit or inflaming of cable.

If you want to disconnect steam cooker from socket (in case of prolonged non-using), then the power cord is disconnected with dry hands directly by plug itself, and not the wire.

Otherwise it can result in rupture of cable of electric shock. Disconnect appliance from socket after use, as well as during cleaning or movement.

Do not lay the power cord near sharp corners and edges, close to hot sources of heat (stoves, gas or electric fryers). Do not immerse into water appliance itself, power cord or plug. This can lead to malfunctions, which are not covered by guarantee.

Steam cooker may be used only by those children, which understand the possible dangers in case of its incorrect use. As well as they will understand and they will be guided by parents (tutors) about instructions for safe operation of this appliance. It is prohibited to use steam cooker and packing materials for children games.

Do not leave small children unattended near the steam cooker during its operation.

Do not allow to use steam cooker to people with limited physical or mental capabilities before they would not understand instructions for safe use of the appliance. Do not leave turned on appliance without attendance.

It is prohibited to use appliance out-of-doors. There is a danger of fault due to rain or other weather conditions.

For the purpose of safety during connection to mains, steam cooker should be grounded. Connection of the appliance should be provided only to grounded sockets.

Otherwise the appliance will not correspond to the requirements of protection against electric shock.

Watch that the cord will not twist and bend over the edge of table, children can tug it or stumble over it. Place appliance only upon dry even surface. Also observe generally ac cepted safety rules during work with appliance.

It is prohibited to use steam cooker in case of any malfunctions. If it is faulty or functions incorrectly, disconnect it from mains, taking plug off of the socket, and addrees the autho rized service center.

Unassisted repair or modification of appliance is prohibited. All works related to maintenance and repair should be carried out by authorized service center.

The work carried out non-professionally can cause breakage, injuries and damaging of property.

Do not touch hot surface of steam cooker, hot water, steam or food, as well as heating element during and after operation of the appliance. Use potholders in order to remove the lid, cup for rice or basket of steam cooker or wait till the appliance and products will not cool down.

Do not move steam cooker, filled with hot fluid or food.

Prior to cleaning of steam cooker make sure that it is disconnected from mains and heating element has cooled down. Always keep the appliance in clean state.

Manufacturer does not bear responsibility for damages, caused by disregard of

given directions and safety warnings.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Remove all packing including advertising stickers. Completely unwind power cord.

Wipe the base of steam cooker with damp cloth, then wipe it dry.

Wash all detachable parts with warm soapy water, dry them.

2. OPERATION OF STEAMER

HOW TO USE

Place the food steamer on a stable and level surface.

Fill the reservoir with water according to food type and quantity. If the food need steaming for 15-60 minutes, add water to the maximum mark, but if the steaming time is less the 15 minutes, add water to the minimum mark. If food steamer stops producing steam or steam rate is obviously slow before the food is ready, it indicates you should add water to the reservoir.

Note: Don’t add any salt, pepper, flavoring, essence, wine or other liquids in tap water in the reservoir. Using the appliance, ensure the water level between the minimum and maximum.

The tube must cover around of the heating element and make the less water boiling, and produce the steam rapidly.

The appliance can be used in three ways:

1)Only using the single lower steam plate “:” Put food in lower steam plate, then position the plate on the reservoir.

2)Using three steam plates together: Position the parts of each layer in place according to the order indicated in above figure. Please keep the order otherwise the steam plate cannot sit flat.

3)Using two plates and supports: the middle steam plate can fix with the lower steam plate.

Note: the food of cooking in the lower plate is rapid than in the upper plate, put the difficult cooked food in the lower plate.

Cover with the steamer lid.

Note: Don’t operate it without steam plates and lid in place.

Plug the power outlet, a long buzzers will be heard, the display will display “0:00” after 1 second, the indicator is green, only the “Mode” button can be activated.

Press the “Mode” button, the display will display continuously: a. steamed bread b. steam rice c. steam fish d. steam chicken or meat e. steam vegetable, you can select your desired program, the LCD will display the default steam time, you can change the steam time by pressing the “Adjust” button.

The unit has automatic start function, the max delay time is 12 hours and 59 minutes. If you do not want the steamer start operation immediately, you may set the automatic start function by pressing the “Hr/Min” as follows:

For example: set the unit begins working after 2 hours and 30minutes.

Operate according to the above 1-6 steps, press “Hr/Min” button once, a icon of alarm clock will dis play in the left of display, and the “00” begin to flash.

Adjust the “00” to the “30” by pressing the “Adjust” button, then press the “Hr/Min” button again and “0” begin to flashing, adjust the “0” to “2” by pressing “Adjust” button, confirm the setting by pressing “Hr/Min”.

Press the “On/Off” button, a long buzzers will be heard, the indicator will indicate green and flash, the LCD count down, when the time is “0:00”, the icon of alarm clock will disappear, the indicator will indicate red and stop flashing, the unit begins to working.

When the operation is finished, the buzzer will beep.

Note: the minimum operation time of every mode is them default time, the maximum is 59 minutes. During operation, you can cancel the setting by pressing the “On/Off” button for 2 seconds.

Cancel the automatic start program: press the “On/Off” for 2 seconds and a long buzzer will be heard. Green indicator will stop flashing, the icon of alarm clock will disappear, the time return to zero and cancel all the setting.

During work don’t touch the base, steam plates, steam bowl, steam plate, steam support always use groves when handling the food steamer.

After finishing steaming, unplug the appliance from the outlet and let it cool completely before remov ing the reservoir.

Note: be careful when removing the drip tray, while other parts of the unit may cool down, water in the reservoir and drip tray is still very hot.

Discard the water after each using, next cycle pour the tap water again.
