Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instruc-

tions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of
these operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and
only for the specified areas of application. Retain these instructions for future
reference. In addition, pass these documents on, together with the product, to
any future owner.

Intended use

This hair dryer is intended only for the drying and shaping of human hair, under no
circumstances is it to be used for wigs and hairpieces made of synthetic material.
This hair dryer is intended for domestic use only. Pay heed to all of the information
in this operating manual, especially the safety instructions. This appliance is not
designed for use in commercial or industrial applications.

This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those men­tioned herein. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will
not be accepted. The operator alone bears liability.

The appliance is delivered with the following components as standard:

1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
carton.

2) Remove all packaging material.

3) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.

► Check the contents to make sure everything is there and for visible damage.
► If the contents are not complete or are damaged due to defective packaging

or through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see section "Service").

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that
is no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

► If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty

period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can package the ap­pliance ideally for its return.

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► Connect the hair dryer only to a correctly installed mains power

socket providing electrical energy at the level detailed on the
rating plate.

► Under no circumstances may the hair dryer be submerged in fluids,

or fluids be permitted to enter the appliance housing. Do not
expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors.
Should liquids enter the housing, disconnect the appliance from
the power source immediately and arrange for it to be repaired
by a qualified technician.

► Disconnect the hair dryer from the mains power socket if defective

operation is apparent and before cleaning it.

► To disconnect it, pull only on the plug itself, not on the power cable.
► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance and protect

the cable from being damaged.

► Should the power cable of the appliance be damaged, to avoid

potential risks it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his customer
service or by a qualified technician.

► Do not kink or crush the power cable and lay it in such a way as

to prevent people from stepping on or tripping over it.

► Do not use extension cables.
► Never touch the hair dryer, the power cable or the plug with wet

hands.

► Disconnect the hair dryer from the power source immediately after

use. The appliance is completely free of electrical power only
when you unplug it.

► You are not permitted to open or repair the housing of the hair

dryer. Should you do so, appliance safety can no longer be as­sured and the warranty will become void. Arrange for the hair
dryer to be serviced and repaired only by qualified specialists.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

Never use the appliance near water, parti-cularly not near
sinks, baths or other vessels. The proximity of water presents a
risk, even when the appliance is switched off. After use, always
disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. As additional
protection, the installation of a faulty-current protection unit with
an activation power rating of not more than 30 mA is recom­mended for the power circuit in the bathroom. Consult your
electrician for advice.

WARNING! RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY!

► This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca­pabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

► Children shall not play with the appliance.
► Cleaning and user maintenance tasks shall not be carried out by

children unless they are supervised.

► When it is switched on, NEVER lay the hair dryer down or leave it

unsupervised.

► Never place the hair dryer close to sources of heat and protect

the power cable against potential damage.

► Do not take the hair dryer into use if it has fallen down or is dam-

aged in any way. Arrange for the appliance to be checked and/
or repaired by qualified technicians.

► Do not cover the air intake grill while operating the appliance.

Clean the grill at regular intervals.

► The hair dryer becomes hot when it is in use. Hold it only by the

grip when it is hot.

► Never pull the power cord out of the device beyond the point

indicated with a red mark.

► Always pull the power cord out of the device up to the point

indicated with a red mark when you use the device. Otherwise it
could overheat!

Operation

NOTE

► Before use, pull the plug out of the device up to the point indicated with a

red mark!

Heat and blower levels

1) Insert the plug into a power socket.

2) Switch the hair dryer on with the blower level switch .

The hair dryer is fitted with two function switches. With these you can separately
select the strength of the air flow (blower level switch ) and the level of heat
(heat level switch ):

3) After use, switch the appliance off in that you place the blower level switch 
into position “O”. Then remove the plug from the wall socket.

4) Press the cord retract button  to feed the cord back into the device.

Cooling level

With the cooling level button  G you can produce a cooler air flow with
every combination of blower and heat levels.

Ionisation function

This hair dryer is equipped with an ionising function:
When drying the hair using a hair dryer, the hair takes on a static charge and

begins to “fly”.
The ionisation function ensures that this charging of the hair is neutralised and

cancelled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny and easier to style.
Please note, however, that the ionisation function will only work optimally if the

attachments (finger diffuser /styling jet ) are removed as the attachment will
interfere with the application of the ions to the hair. Therefore, use the hair dryer
without attachments for maximum ionisation effect.

Drying and styling hair

■ For quick hair drying, we first recommend using a high blower and heater

setting for a short period. After slightly drying the hair, switch to a lower
blower and heater level to shape the hair.

■ With the supplied styling jet  you can apply a directed airflow to shape

and style your hair. Place the styling jet  on the front of the hair dryer such
that it engages and is seated firmly into place.

■ If you want to dry your hair very gently, or use the dryer with so-called “air-

dried perms”, attach the finger diffuser . First remove the styling jet , if
it is fitted, and then attach the finger diffusor , such that it engages and is
seated firmly into place.

■ Before you comb your hair out, allow it to cool so that the shaping and styling

can retain its form.

■ For cooling the hair you can use the cooling level button 

of the heat level switch .

Cleaning

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► Always remove the mains plug from the socket before you clean the appliance.
► Under no circumstances may you immerse the appliance in water or other

liquids when cleaning it!

► After being cleaned, the hair dryer must be completely dry before using it

again.

WARNING - RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY!

► Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it.

CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents. They could damage

the surface.

Cleaning the housing

■ Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild soap solution to clean the housing

and attachments.

■ Please dry everything off properly before using the appliance again.

Cleaning the air suction grill

WARNING - RISK OF FIRE!

► Clean the air intake grill  at regular intervals with a soft brush.

1) Turn the air intake grill  anticlockwise a little way so that it can be removed
from the hair dryer.

2) Clean the openings of the air intake grill  with a soft brush.

3) Replace the air intake grille  back onto the hair dryer so that the lugs on
the air intake grille  engage in the slots on the housing of the hairdryer.
Turn the air intake grill  clockwise a little way so that it clicks into place
and sits tightly.

Storage

CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► First pack and transport the hair dryer when it has completely cooled

down. Otherwise, it could damage other items.

■ Clean the hair dryer as described in the section “Cleaning”.

■ Retract the cord by pressing the cord retract button .

■ Store the hair dryer at a dustfree and dry location.

Troubleshooting

Should your hair dryer not function as expected, first remove the plug from the
mains power socket and allow the appliance to cool down for a few minutes.
The appliance is fitted with an overheating protector!

Should the appliance still not function, consult the service department detailed
under “Service”.

Disposal of the device

Do not dispose of this appliance in your normal domestic waste.

This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive
2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com-

munity waste facility.Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of
doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Warranty

A 3-year warranty is given with this device, starting from the date of purchase.
The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way
can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

This appliance is intended solely for domestic, not commercial, use. If this product
has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifica­tions not carried out by one of our authorised service centres, the warranty will
be considered void.

► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, it

is not applicable for transport damages, parts subject to wear and tear or
for damage to fragile components, e.g. switches.

period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to
replaced and repaired parts.

Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi­ately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.

kaikkia tämän käyttöohjeen tietoja, erityisesti turvaohjeita. Tätä laitetta ei ole
suunniteltu kaupallisiin tai teollisuustarkoituksiin.

Muuta tai tämän ylittävää käyttöä pidetään määräystenvastaisena. Emme vastaa

Toimituslaajuus

► Jos toimitus on puutteellinen tai havaitset puutteellisen pakkauksen tai

kuljetuksen aiheuttamia vaurioita, käänny huollon palvelunumeron puoleen
(katso luku "Huolto").

Pakkauksen hävittäminen

Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit on valittu ympäris­töystävällisyys ja jätehuoltotekniset näkökohdat huomioiden ja siksi ne voidaan
kierrättää.

Pakkauksen palauttaminen materiaalikiertoon säästää raaka-aineita ja vähentää
jätteiden syntymistä. Hävitä tarpeettomat pakkausmateriaalit paikallisten voimassa
olevien määräysten mukaisesti.

► Säilytä alkuperäispakkaus mahdollisuuksien mukaan laitteen takuuajan,

Turvaohjeet

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

► Liitä hiustenkuivain ainoastaan määräysten mukaan asennettuun

verkkopistorasiaan, jonka verkkojännite vastaa tyyppikilpeen
merkittyä.

► Älä missään tapauksessa upota hiustenkuivainta nesteeseen,

äläkä anna nesteiden päästä hiustenkuivaimen laitekoteloon.
Älä altista laitetta kosteudelle, äläkä käytä sitä ulkona. Jos laitteen
koteloon pääsee kuitenkin nestettä, irrota laitteen verkkopistoke
välittömästi verkkopistorasiasta ja anna pätevän ammattihenkilös­tön korjata laite.

► Irrota verkkopistoke pistorasiasta aina ennen hiustenkuivaimen

puhdistamista, ja jos laitteessa ilmenee häiriöitä käytön aikana.

► Älä vedä virtajohdosta, vaan irrota johto pistorasiasta pistokkeesta

vetämällä.

► Älä kiedo virtajohtoa hiustenkuivaimen ympärille ja suojaa sitä

vaurioilta.

► Jos laitteen verkkoliitosjohto vahingoittuu, johdon saa vahinkojen

välttämiseksi vaihtaa vain valmistajalla, valmistajan valtuuttamassa
asiakaspalvelupisteessä tai muussa ammattitaitoisessa huoltoliik­keessä.

► Älä taita tai purista verkkoliitosjohtoa. Asettele johto niin, ettei

kukaan voi astua sen päälle tai kompastu siihen.

► Älä käytä jatkojohtoa.
► Älä koskaan koske hiustenkuivaimeen, virtajohtoon ja verkkopis-

tokkeeseen märillä käsillä.

► Irrota hiustenkuivain välittömästi sähköverkosta käytön jälkeen.

Laite on täysin virraton vain silloin, kun verkkopistoke on irrotettu
pistorasiasta.

► Älä avaa tai korjaa hiustenkuivaimen laitekoteloa. Jos laitteen

kotelo avataan itse, turvallisuus ei ole taattu eikä takuu ole voi­massa. Anna viallinen hiustenkuivain ainoastaan pätevien ammat­tihenkilöiden korjattavaksi.

SÄHKÖISKUN VAARA

Älä käytä laitetta koskaan veden, erityisesti pesualtaiden,
kylpyammeiden ja vastaavien läheisyydessä. Veden läheisyys
aiheuttaa aina vaaran, vaikka laite ei olisikaan päällä. Irrota
siksi verkkopistoke jokaisen käyttökerran jälkeen. Lisäsuojaksi
suosittelemme, että kylpyhuoneen sähköpiiriin asennetaan
vikavirtasuojalaite, jonka mittauslaukaisuvirta ei ole enempää
kuin 30 mA. Kysy neuvoja sähköasentajaltasi.

VAROITUS! LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

► Tätä laitetta voivat käyttää 8 vuotta täyttäneet lapset ja rajoittuneet

fyysiset, aistilliset tai henkiset kyvyt tai puutteellisen kokemuksen ja/
tai tiedon omaavat henkilöt, kun heitä valvotaan tai kun heitä on
opastettu laitteen turvallisessa käytössä ja he ovat ymmärtäneet
käytöstä aiheutuvat vaarat.

► Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella.
► Lapset eivät saa suorittaa puhdistusta ja käyttäjähuoltoa ilman

valvontaa.

► Älä koskaan laske hiustenkuivainta käsistäsi sen ollessa päällä,

äläkä koskaan jätä päällä olevaa laitetta yksin ilman valvontaa.

► Älä koskaan aseta hiustenkuivainta lämpölähteiden lähettyville ja

suojaa virtaliitäntäjohtoa vaurioilta.

► Jos hiustenkuivain on pudonnut tai vaurioitunut, sitä ei saa enää

käyttää. Anna pätevän huoltopisteen tarkastaa laite ja tarvittaes­sa korjata se.

► Älä peitä ilmanottoristikkoa käytön aikana. Puhdista se säännölli-

sin väliajoin.

► Hiustenkuivain kuumenee käytössä. Koske ainoastaan kuuman

laitteen kahvaan.

HUOMIO! AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

► Älä koskaan vedä virtajohtoa ulos laitteesta punaista merkintää

pidemmälle.

► Vedä virtajohto laitteesta punaiseen merkintään asti aina käyttä-

essäsi laitetta. Muuten se saattaa ylikuumentua.

Käyttö

► Vedä verkkopistoke ulos laitteesta punaiseen merkintään asti ennen, kuin

otat laitteen käyttöön!

Lämpö- ja puhallintasot

1) Työnnä verkkopistoke pistorasiaan.

2) Kytke hiustenkuivain päälle puhallintasokytkimellä .

Hiustenkuivain on varustettu kahdella toimintokytkimellä. Näiden avulla voidaan
valita erikseen ilmavirtauksen voimakkuus (puhallintasokytkin ) ja lämmitystaso
(lämmitystasokytkin ):

3) Kytke laite käytön jälkeen pois päältä asettamalla puhallintasokytkin 
asentoon "O". Irrota sen jälkeen pistoke pistorasiasta.

4) Vedä johto sisään laitteeseen painamalla johdon sisäänvedon painiketta .

Jäähdytystaso

Jäähdytystasopainikkeella  G saadaan aikaan kylmä ilmavirtaus jokaisella
puhallintaso- ja lämpötasoyhdistelmällä.

Ionisointitoiminto

Tässä hiustenkuivaimessa on ionisointitoiminto:
Kun hiukset kuivataan hiustenkuivaimella, hiukset latautuvat staattisesti ja alkavat

“lentää".
Ionisointitoiminto huolehtii siitä, että hiusten staattinen lataus neutraloidaan ja

poistetaan. Hiuksista tulee pehmeät, taipuisat, kiiltävät ja helpommat kammata.
Huomaa kuitenkin, että ionisointitoiminto toimii ihanteellisesti ainoastaan ilman

lisäosia (sormidiffuusori  / suutin ), koska lisäosat häiritsevät ionien levi-

hiustenkuivainta ilman lisäosia.

Hiusten kuivaaminen ja muotoilu

■ Hiusten nopeaa kuivaamista varten on suositeltavaa kytkeä hiustenkuivain

ensin korkealle puhallus- ja lämmitystasolle. Hiusten kuivaamisen jälkeen voit
muotoilla hiukset alhaisemmalla puhallin- ja lämmitysteholla.

■ Mukana tulevan suuttimen  avulla voidaan ilmavirtausta käyttää kohdiste-

tusti muotoiluun. Aseta suutin  hiustenkuivaimeen eteen niin, että se lukittuu
tiiviisti paikoilleen.

■ Jos haluat kuivata hiuksesi erityisen hellävaroen tai nk. "ilmakuivatuille

kiharoille", käytä sormidiffuusoria . Irrota tätä varten ensiksi suutin  ja
aseta sormidiffuusori  paikoilleen niin, että se lukittuu tiiviisti paikoilleen.

■ Anna hiusten jäähtyä lyhyesti ennen hiusten kampaamista, näin kampaus

pysyy paremmin.

■ Voit käyttää hiusten jäähdyttämiseen jäähdytystasopainiketta 

tasoa lämmitystasokytkimessä .

► Älä missään tapauksessa upota laitetta puhdistuksessa veteen tai muihin

nesteisiin!

► Hiustenkuivaimen on oltava täysin kuiva, ennen kuin voit ottaa sen jälleen

käyttöön puhdistuksen jälkeen.

VAROITUS - LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

► Anna laitteen jäähtyä riittävästi ennen puhdistamista.

HUOMIO - AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

► Älä käytä aggressiivisia puhdistusaineita tai liuottimia. Ne voivat vahingoittaa

laitteen pintoja.

■ Käytä kevyesti miedolla saippualiuoksella kostutettua liinaa kotelon ja lisäosien

puhdistukseen.

■ Kuivaa kaikki osat hyvin, ennen kuin käytät laitetta uudelleen.

VAROITUS - TULIPALON VAARA!

► Puhdista ilmanottoristikko  säännöllisin väliajoin pehmeällä harjalla.

1) Kierrä ilmanottoristikkoa  hieman vastapäivään niin, että se voidaan
irrottaa hiustenkuivaajasta.

2) Puhdista ilmanottoristikon  aukot pehmeällä harjalla.

3) Aseta ilmanottoristikko  jälleen hiustenkuivaimeen niin, että ilmanottoristikon 
kielekkeet osuvat hiustenkuivaimen kotelon koloihin. Kierrä ilmanottoristikkoa 
hieman myötäpäivään niin, että se lukittuu ja on tiiviisti paikoillaan rungossa.

Säilytys

HUOMIO - AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

► Pakkaa ja kuljeta hiustenkuivainta vasta sen jäähdyttyä. Muutoin saatat

vahingoittaa muita esineitä.

■ Puhdista hiustenkuivain luvussa "Puhdistus" kuvatulla tavalla.

■ Vedä johto sisään painamalla johdon sisäänvedon painiketta .

■ Säilytä hiustenkuivain pölyttömässä ja kuivassa paikassa.

Virhetoimintojen korjaaminen

Jos hiustenkuivaimesi ei toimi odottamallasi tavalla, irrota verkkopistoke pistorasias­ta ja anna laitteen jäähtyä muutamia minuutteja. Laite on varustettu ylikuumene­missuojalla!

Jos laite ei edelleenkään toimi, käänny kohdassa "Huolto" ilmoitetun huoltopisteen
puoleen.

Laitteen hävittäminen

Älä missään tapauksessa heitä laitetta tavanomaisten talous-

jätteiden sekaan. Tämä laite on eurooppalaisen direktiivin
2012/19/EU alainen.

Hävitä laite hyväksytyn jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnallisen jätehuoltolaitoksen

kautta. Noudata ajankohtaisia voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Ota epäselvissä
tilanteissa yhteyttä paikalliseen jätehuoltoviranomaiseen.

Takuu

Saat tälle laitteelle 3 vuoden takuun ostopäiväyksestä lukien. Laite on valmistettu
huolella ja tarkastettu perusteellisesti ennen toimitusta.

Säilytä kassakuitti tositteeksi ostosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä
lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voidaan taata tuotteesi maksuton lähettä­minen huoltoon.

Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiseen, ei ammattikäyttöön. Väärä tai asiaton
käyttö, väkivallan käyttö ja muiden kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat
korjaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen.

kuljetusvaurioita, kuluvia osia tai helposti rikkoutuvien osien, esim. kytkinten,
