Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance.
You have clearly decided in favour of a quality product. These operating instruc-
tions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard to
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of
these operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and
only for the specifi ed areas of application. Retain these instructions for future
reference. In addition, pass these documents on, together with the product, to
any future owner.

Intended use
This hair dryer is intended only for the drying and shaping of human hair, under no
circumstances is it to be used for wigs and hairpieces made of synthetic material.
This hair dryer is intended for domestic use only. Pay heed to all of the information
in this operating manual, especially the safety instructions. This appliance is not
designed for use in commercial or industrial applications.
This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those mentioned herein. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will
not be accepted. The operator alone bears liability.

Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
carton.
2) Remove all packaging material.
3) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material
and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that
is no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.

Safety instructions
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Connect the hair dryer only to a correctly in-
stalled mains power socket providing electrical
energy at the level detailed on the rating plate.
► Under no circumstances may the hair dryer be
submerged in fl uids, or fl uids be permitted to
enter the appliance housing. Do not expose
the appliance to humidity and do not use it
outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing,
disconnect the appliance from the power
source immediately and arrange for it to be
repaired by a qualifi ed technician.
► Disconnect the hair dryer from the mains
power socket if defective operation is apparent
and before cleaning it.
► To disconnect it, pull only on the plug itself,
not on the power cable.
► Do not wrap the power cable around the
appliance and protect the cable from being
damaged.

► Should the power cable of the appliance be
damaged, to avoid potential risks it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, his customer
service or by a qualifi ed technician.
► Do not kink or crush the power cable and lay
it in such a way as to prevent people from stepping on or tripping over it.
► Do not use extension cables.
► Never touch the hair dryer, the power cable
or the plug with wet hands.
► Disconnect the hair dryer from the power
source immediately after use. The appliance is
completely free of electrical power only when
you unplug it.

► You are not permitted to open or repair the
housing of the hair dryer. Should you do so,
appliance safety can no longer be assured
and the warranty will become void. Arrange
for the hair dryer to be serviced and repaired
only by qualifi ed specialists.

Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sink
s, baths or other vessels.
The proximity of water presents a risk, even
when the appliance is switched off . After use,
always disconnect the plug from the mains
power socket. As additional protection, the
installation of a faulty-current protection unit
with an activation power rating of not more
than 30 mA is recommended for the power
circuit in the bathroom. Consult your electrician for advice.

► Do not cover the air intake grill while operating
the appliance. Clean the grill at regular intervals.
► The hair dryer becomes hot when it is in use.
Hold it only by the grip when it is hot.

Heat and blower levels
1) Insert the plug into a power socket.
2) Switch the hair dryer on with the blower level switch 5.
The hair dryer is fi tted with two function switches. With these you can separately
select the strength of the air fl ow (blower level switch 5) and the level of heat
(heat level switch 6):

3) After use, switch the appliance off in that you place the blower level switch 5
into position “O”. Then remove the plug from the wall socket.
4) Press the cord retract button 2 to feed the cord back into the device.
Cooling level
With the cooling level button 7 ❄ you can produce a cooler air fl ow with
every combination of blower and heat levels.
Ionisation function
This hair dryer is equipped with an ionising function:
When drying the hair using a hair dryer, the hair takes on a static charge and
begins to “fl y”.
The ionisation function ensures that this charging of the hair is neutralised and
cancelled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny and easier to style.

Drying and styling hair
■ For quick hair drying, we fi rst recommend using a high blower and heater
setting for a short period. After slightly drying the hair, switch to a lower
blower and heater level to shape the hair.
■ With the supplied styling jet 1 y
and style your hair. Place the styling jet 1 on the front of the hair dryer such
that it engages and is seated fi rmly into place.
■ If you want to dry your hair very gently, or use the dryer with so-called “air-
dried perms”, attach the fi
it is fi tted, and then attach the fi nger diff usor 8, such that it engages and is
seated fi rmly into place.
■ Before you comb your hair out, allow it to cool so that the shaping and styling

and attachments.

Cleaning the air suction grill
WARNING - RISK OF FIRE!
► Clean the air intake grill 3 at r
1) Turn the air intake grille 3 slightly so that it can be removed from the hairdryer.
2) Clean the openings of the air intake grill 3 with a soft brush.
3) Replace the air intake grille 3 back onto the hair dryer so that the lugs on
the air intake grille 3 engage in the slots on the housing of the hairdryer.
Turn the air intake grille 3 slightly so that it engages and is fi rmly seated on
the housing.
Storage
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► First pack and transport the hair dryer when it has completely cooled
wn. Otherwise, it could damage other items.

■ Store the hair dryer at a dustfree and dry location.
Troubleshooting
Should your hair dryer not function as expected, fi rst remove the plug from the
mains power socket and allow the appliance to cool down for a few minutes.

Should the appliance still not function, consult the service department detailed
under “Service”.

A 3-year warranty is given with this device, starting from the date of purchase.
The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way
can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

► The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, it

Namenska uporaba
Sušilnik las je namenjen za sušenje in pomoč pri rezanju las, nikakor pa ne uporabi
na dlaki živali, na lasuljah in na laseh iz sintetičnih materialov. Sušilnik las smete
uporabljati izključno v zasebnem gospodinjstvu. Upoštevajte vse informacije v
teh navodilih za uporabo, še posebej varnostne napotke. Naprava ni zasnovana
za poslovne ali industrijske namene.
Kakršna koli druga ali drugačna uporaba od navedene je nenamenska. Uveljavljanje kakršnih koli zahtevkov na podlagi škode zaradi nenamenske uporabe je

Odstranitev embalaže
Embalaža napravo varuje pred poškodbami med transportom. Embalažni materiali
so izbrani v skladu s primernostjo za varovanje okolja in odstranjevanje ter jih
lahko oddate v recikliranje.
Povrnitev embalaže v krog materialov pomeni prihranek surovin in zmanjšanje
količine odpadkov. Nepotreben embalažni material oddajte v skladu s krajevno
veljavnimi predpisi.

ELEKTRIČNEGA TOKA
► Sušilnik las priklopite le v po predpisih insta-
lirano električno vtičnico z električno napetostjo, ki je enaka električni napetosti, navedeni
na tipski tablici naprave.
► Sušilnika las v nobenem primeru ne polagajte
v nobeno tekočino in poskrbite, da v njegovo
ohišje ne stečejo nobene tekočine. Naprave ne
imejte na vlagi in je ne uporabljajte na prostem.
Če v ohišje naprave vseeno steče tekočina, električni vtič naprave takoj potegnite iz električne
vtičnice in napravo dajte v popravilo usposobljenim strokovnjakom.
► Če naprava ne deluje pravilno in pred čišče-
njem izvlecite električni vtič iz električne vtičnice.
► Med izklapljanjem električnega kabla iz vtičnice
ne vlecite za kabel, ampak primite in vlecite vtič.
► Električni kabel zaščitite pred poškodbami in
ga ne navijajte okrog sušilnika las.

► Če se poškoduje električni kabel naprave, ga
mora zamenjati proizvajalec, njegov servis ali
podobno usposobljena oseba, da ne pride
do nesreč.
► Električnega kabla ne prepogibajte in ne
stiskajte. Položite ga tako, da nihče ne more
stopiti nanj ali se obenj spotakniti.
► Ne smete uporabljati nobenih kabelskih po-
daljškov.
► Sušilnika las ter električnega kabla in vtiča
nikoli ne prijemajte z mokrimi rokami.
► Sušilnik las takoj po uporabi izklopite iz ele-
ktričnega omrežja. Naprava je popolnoma
brez električne napetosti le takrat, ko je električni vtič izvlečen iz električne vtičnice.

► Ohišja sušilnika las ne smete odpirati ali popra-
vljati. V tem primeru ni zagotovljena varnost in
garancija preneha veljati. Pokvarjen sušilnik las
naj popravijo usposobljeni strokovnjaki.
