Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung.

1. Gerätebeschreibung

1.1 Verwendungszweck

Mit dem Keramik-Heiztower SilverCrest SHT 2000 A1 können Sie trockene Wohnräume beheizen. Dieses Gerät ist für den Einsatz in Privathaushalten und nicht für den gewerblichen Einsatz geeignet. Das Gerät ist geeignet als Zusatzheizung. Als Alleinheizung für große Räume ist es weniger geeignet. Das Gerät darf ausschließlich auf dem Boden aufgestellt werden.

Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche.

Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.

• Lesen Sie vor dem Gebrauch sorgfältig diese Bedienungsanleitung. Sie ist Bestandteil des Gerätes und muss jederzeit verfügbar sein.

• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur für den beschriebenen Verwendungszweck (siehe „1.1 Verwendungszweck“ auf Seite 3).

• Überprüfen Sie, ob die erforderliche Netzspannung (siehe Typenschild am Gerät) mit Ihrer Netzspannung übereinstimmt.

• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten oder

mit mangelnder Erfahrung und/oder mangelndem Wissen benutzt zu werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist. Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

• Bei eventuellen Funktionsstörungen darf die Instandsetzung des Gerätes nur durch unser Service-Center erfolgen.

• Das Gerät darf ausschließlich auf einem festen, ebenen, trockenen und nicht brennbaren Untergrund aufgestellt werden.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Steckdose gut zugänglich ist, damit Sie eventuell den Netzstecker schnell ziehen können.

4.3 Schutz vor elektrischem Schlag

Warnung! Die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise sollen Sie vor einem elektrischen Schlag schützen.

• Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Schutzkontaktsteckdose an.

• Sollte das Gerät zu Boden gefallen sein oder einen harten Schlag abbekommen haben, oder sollte es ins Wasser gefallen sein, dürfen Sie es nicht weiterbenutzen. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall an unser Service-Center. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie in „Service-Center” auf Seite 15.

• Wenn das Gerät beschädigt ist, darf das Gerät keinesfalls benutzt werden. Lassen Sie das Gerät in diesem Falle von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie in „ServiceCenter” auf Seite 15.

• Wenn die Netzanschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird, muss sie durch den Hersteller oder eine ähnlich qualifi-

zierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät niemals in unmittelbarer Nähe eines Spülbeckens, einer Badewanne, einer Dusche oder eines Schwimmbeckens, da Spritzwasser in das Gerät gelangen könnte.

• In das Gerät dürfen keinesfalls Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten gelangen. Daher: – niemals im Freien einsetzen, – niemals mit Flüssigkeit gefüllte

Gefäße, wie Trinkgläser, Vasen etc. auf das Gerät stellen,

– niemals in sehr feuchter Umgebung

wie z.B. einem Badezimmer einsetzen.

Falls doch einmal Flüssigkeit in das Gerät gelangt, ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker und lassen das Gerät von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie in „ServiceCenter” auf Seite 15.

• Versuchen Sie niemals mit Fingern oder Gegenständen durch die Schutzgitter in das Innere des Gerätes zu fassen.

• Fassen Sie das Gerät, die Netzanschlussleitung oder den Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten Händen an.

• Ziehen Sie die Netzanschlussleitung stets am Stecker heraus. Ziehen Sie niemals am Kabel selber.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzanschlussleitung nie geknickt oder gequetscht wird.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzanschlussleitung nicht durch scharfe Kanten beschädigt wird.

• Halten Sie die Netzanschlussleitung von heißen Flächen (z.B. Herdplatte) fern.

• Wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen, ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Nur dann ist das Gerät völlig stromfrei.

• Die Benutzung von Verlängerungskabeln sollten Sie vermeiden. Sie ist nur unter ganz bestimmten Voraussetzungen gestattet: – Das Verlängerungskabel muss für die

Stromstärke des Gerätes geeignet sein.

– Das Verlängerungskabel darf nicht

„fliegend“ verlegt sein: es darf nicht zur Stolperfalle werden oder von Kindern erreichbar sein.

– Das Verlängerungskabel darf keines-

falls beschädigt sein.

– Es dürfen keine weiteren Geräte als

dieses Gerät an der Netzsteckdose angeschlossen werden, da es sonst zu einer Überlastung des Stromnetzes kommen kann (Verbot von Mehrfachsteckdosen!).

• Das Gerät darf nicht mit einer externen Zeitschaltuhr oder einem separaten Fernwirksystem, wie zum Beispiel einer Funksteckdose, betrieben werden.

4.4 Schutz vor Brandgefahr

Warnung! Da das Gerät mit hohen Temperaturen arbeitet, beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, damit kein Brand entstehen kann.

• Während des Betriebes dürfen sich keine brennbaren Gegenstände (z.B. Vorhänge, Papier usw.) in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Gerätes befinden.

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät niemals dazu, Textilien oder andere Dinge auf, über oder vor dem Gerät zu trocknen.

• Um eine Überhitzung zu vermeiden, darf das Gerät niemals abgedeckt werden.

• Halten Sie beim Aufstellen des Gerätes ringsherum einen Mindestabstand von 1,5 m zu anderen Geräten oder der Wand ein.

• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nie in explosionsgefährdeten Räumen oder in der Nähe von brennbaren Gasen oder Flüssigkeiten.

• Das Gerät darf niemals direkt unter einer Wandsteckdose aufgestellt werden, da die entstehende Hitze zu Schäden an der elektrischen Installation führen könnte.

• Achten Sie immer darauf, dass die Luft frei ein- und austreten kann. Ansonsten kann es zu einem Hitzestau in dem Gerät kommen.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät nie unbeaufsichtigt laufen. Schäden kündigen sich fast immer durch intensive Geruchsbildung an. Ziehen Sie in diesem Falle sofort den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Gerät überprüfen. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie in „Service-Center” auf Seite 15.

4.5 Schutz vor Verletzungen

Warnung! Beachten Sie folgende Hinweise, um Verletzungen zu vermeiden.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Netzanschlussleitung nie zur Stolperfalle wird oder sich jemand darin verfangen oder darauftreten kann.

• Halten Sie ausreichend Abstand von dem Gerät, damit nicht die Haare oder Kleidungsstücke vom Ventilator in das Gerät gesaugt werden.

• Wenn Sie das heiße Gerät transportieren wollen, schalten Sie es aus, ziehen den Netzstecker und warten ab, bis sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat. Ansonsten könnten Sie sich an der heißen Oberfläche verbrennen.

4.6 Zur Sicherheit Ihres Kindes

Warnung! Kinder können Gefahren oft nicht richtig einschätzen und sich dadurch Verletzungen zuziehen. Beachten Sie daher:

• Dieses Gerät darf nur unter Aufsicht von Erwachsenen verwendet werden um sicherzustellen, dass Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

• Achten Sie sorgfältig darauf, dass sich das Gerät immer außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern befindet.

• Die Fernbedienung enthält Batterien. Achten Sie darauf, dass diese niemals in die Hände von Kindern geraten und verschluckt werden.

Verschluckte Batterien können lebensgefährlich sein. Wurde eine Batterie verschluckt, holen Sie sofort ärtztliche Hilfe.

• Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolie nicht zur tödlichen Falle für Kinder wird. Verpackungsfolien sind kein Spielzeug.

Vorsicht! Um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden und die Funktion zu gewährleisten beachten Sie:

• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Batterien vom Typ AAA.

4.8 Sachschäden

Vorsicht! Um Sachschäden zu vermeiden, beachten Sie folgende Bestimmungen.

• Versuchen Sie niemals das Gerät von Hand zu drehen, dadurch könnte der Motor beschädigt werden.

• Nehmen Sie die Batterie aus der Fernbedienung, wenn Sie diese längere Zeit nicht benutzen. Durch eine auslaufende Batterie könnte die Fernbedienung beschädigt werden.

4.7 Umgang mit Batterien

Warnung!

Um eine Explosionsgefahr zu vermeiden, dürfen normale Batterien nicht geladen, erhitzt oder durch Verbrennen beseitigt werden.

• Versuchen Sie niemals, die Batterien zu öffnen.

Wenn Batteriesäure ausgelaufen ist, vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Haut, Augen und Schleimhäuten, um Verletzungen zu verhindern. Spülen Sie bei Kontakt mit der Säure die betroffenen Stellen sofort mit reichlich klarem Wasser und suchen Sie umgehend einen Arzt auf.

5. Auspacken, aufstellen, Batterie einlegen

5.1 Gerät aufstellen

Hinweis: Da das Gerät bzw. die Heizschlangen leicht eingefettet geliefert werden, kann es bei der ersten Benutzung zu leichter Rauch- und Geruchsbildung kommen. Dies ist unschädlich und hört nach kurzer Zeit auf. Achten Sie währenddessen auf ausreichende Lüftung.

1. Nehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Verpackung.

2. Entfernen Sie die Transportverpackung.

3. Überprüfen Sie, dass das Gerät keine Beschädigungen aufweist.

Warnung! Achten Sie auf genügend Abstand zur Wand, Einrichtungsgegenständen oder anderen Geräten. Der Abstand sollte mindestens 1,5 m betragen, um eine Brandgefahr auszuschließen.

4. Wählen Sie einen Standort, der den Sicherheitshinweisen entspricht (siehe „4.2 Allgemeine Hinweise“ auf Seite 4).

5. Wählen Sie den Standort so, dass Personen, Tiere oder Pflanzen nicht sofort vom heißen Luftstrom getroffen werden.

6. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose, die den technischen Daten entspricht.

Hinweis: Das Gerät zieht bis zu 10 Ampere Strom (2.000 Watt). Sollten Sie noch weitere Verbraucher am gleichen Stromkreis angeschlossen haben, achten Sie darauf, dass die maximale Belastbarkeit der installierten Sicherung nicht überschritten wird, da sonst die Sicherung auslöst.

5.2 Batterien einlegen

Wenn das Gerät neu ist oder wenn die Batterien in der Fernbedienung leer sind, müsssen zwei neue Batterien vom Typ AAA eingelegt werden.

1. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach der Fernbedienung, indem Sie den Deckel des Batteriefaches nach unten schieben.

2. Entnehmen Sie die alten Batterien, sofern vorhanden.

Hinweis: Beachten Sie die Entsorgungshinweise (siehe „9.2 Batterien/Akkus“ auf Seite 13).

3. Legen Sie neue Batterien ein. Hinweis: Achten Sie beim Einlegen

der Batterien auf die korrekte Polarität (+/–). Die korrekte Polarität ist auf dem Batteriefach eingeprägt.

4. Schieben Sie den Deckel wieder auf das Batteriefach.

6. Bedienen

6.1 Anzeigen im Display

Die gewählte Funktion wird im Display 10 angezeigt.

6.2 Fernbedienung

Die Bedienung des Gerätes kann am Bedienfeld 2 oder mit der Fernbedienung 23 erfolgen. Die im Text angegebenen Bezugsnummern gelten für das Bedienfeld 2 bzw. die Fernbedienung 23.

6.3 Gerät ein- und ausschalten

1. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine

Steckdose, die den technischen Daten entspricht (siehe „3. Technische Daten“ auf Seite 4).

2. Schalten Sie die Stromversorgung ein,

indem Sie den Hauptschalter 5 auf „ON” stellen.

Der Hauptschalter 5 leuchtet.

3. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie

die Ein-/Austaste 16 bzw. 22 drücken. Das Display 10 zeigt die aktuelle

Raumtemperatur an.

4. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, indem Sie

erneut die Ein-/Austaste 16 bzw. 22 drücken.

Das Gerät läuft noch kurz nach und schaltet sich dann aus.

5. Um die Stromversorgung ganz auszu-

schalten, legen Sie den Hauptschalter 5 auf „0FF”.

Eventuell eingestellte Werte gehen dabei verloren.

6.4 Heizleistung einstellen

1. Um eine Heizstufe zu wählen, drücken

Sie den Funktionswähler 11 bzw. 21 so oft, bis die gewünschte Heizstufe im Display 10 angezeigt wird:

– kleine Heizleistung: Gerät arbeitet mit

1.000 Watt

– große Heizleistung: Gerät arbeitet mit

2.000 Watt

– Frostschutzbetrieb: Gerät verhindert,

dass die Raumtemeratur unter die Frostgrenze sinkt.

– Ventilatorbetrieb: Ventilator läuft ohne

Heizung.

6.5 Temperatur wählen

1. Wählen Sie eine der beiden Heizstufen.

2. Mit der Taste „+“ 14 bzw. 18 erhöhen Sie die Soll-Temperatur bis auf maximal 35 °C.

3. Mit der Taste „-“ 15 bzw. 17 verringern Sie die Soll-Temperatur bis auf minimal 5°C.

Die gewählte Soll-Temperatur wird im Display 10 angezeigt.

Sobald die Raumtemperatur die Soll-Temperatur erreicht hat, wird die Heizung abgeschaltet. Der Ventilator läuft noch einige Sekunden nach, um einen Hitzestau zu verhindern.

Fällt die Raumtemperatur unter die Soll-Temperatur, schaltet sich die Heizung automatisch wieder ein.

6.6 Laufzeit einstellen

Das Gerät besitzt einen Timer, mit dem Sie die gewünschte Laufzeit einstellen können. Die maximale Laufzeit beträgt 23 Stunden und 59 Minuten. Nach Ablauf der Laufzeit schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab.

1. Um den Timer einzuschalten, drücken Sie die Timer-Taste 12 bzw. 19.

Im Display erscheint 00:00 und die Stunden blinken.

2. Drücken Sie die Taste „+“ 14 bzw. 18, um die Stunden zu erhöhen.

3. Drücken Sie die Taste „-“ 15 bzw. 17, um die Stunden zu verringern.

4. Drücken Sie erneut die Timer-Taste 12 bzw. 19.

Die Minuten blinken.

5. Drücken Sie die Taste „+“ 14 bzw. 18, um die Minuten zu erhöhen.

6. Drücken Sie die Taste „-“ 15 bzw. 17, um die Minuten zu verringern.

7. Drücken Sie erneut die Timer-Taste 12 bzw. 19, um den Timer zu aktivieren.

Die gewählte Laufzeit wird im Display 10 angezeigt.

Sobald die eingestellte Laufzeit abgelaufen ist, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch ab.

8. Um das Gerät trotz aktiviertem Timer auszuschalten, drücken Sie die Ein-/Austaste 16 bzw. 22.

6.7 Schwenkfunktion

Das Gerät besitzt eine Schwenkfunktion. Diese bewirkt, dass das Gerät hin- und her

schwenkt und dadurch die austretende Luft gleichmäßiger im Raum verteilt wird:

1. Schalten Sie die Schwenkfunktion ein, indem Sie die Taste für Schwenkfunktion 13 bzw. 20 drücken.

2. Schalten Sie die Schwenkfunktion aus, indem Sie die Taste für die Schwenkfunktion 13 bzw. 20 erneut drücken.

Sollte keine Ursache feststellbar sein und der Fehler wiederholt auftreten, lassen Sie das Gerät reparieren oder nehmen es außer Betrieb.

3. Warten Sie ab, bis sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat.

4. Danach können Sie es normal weiterbetreiben.

Sofern die Raumtemperatur über 50 °C steigt, schaltet der Überhitzungsschutz das Gerät ebenfalls ab. Es kann erst wieder betrieben werden, sobald die Raumtemperatur unter 50 °C sinkt.

6.9 Sicherheitsschalter

Das Gerät wird mit einem Sicherheitsschalter gegen Schäden durch Umfallen geschützt. Der Sicherheitsschalter sitzt an der Unterseite des Gerätes und schaltet dieses sofort ab, falls das Gerät umfallen sollte:

1. Stellen Sie das Gerät wieder aufrecht hin.

2. Wählen Sie erneut die gewünschte Funktion (siehe „6.1 Anzeigen im Display“ auf Seite 9).

6.8 Überhitzungsschutz

Zu Ihrer Sicherheit besitzt dieses Gerät einen Überhitzungsschutz. Falls die Temperatur im Inneren des Gerätes zu hoch wird, schaltet es sich automatisch aus:

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, indem Sie den Hauptschalter 5 auf „0FF” legen.

2. Überprüfen Sie, ob der Lufteintritt oder Luftaustritt behindert ist, und beseitigen Sie die Ursache.

7. Reinigen

Damit Sie lange Freude an Ihrem Gerät haben, sollten Sie es regelmäßig reinigen.

1. Entfernen Sie grobe Staubablagerungen im Luftaustrittsgitter 4 vorsichtig mit einem Staubsauger.

2. Die Reste entfernen Sie mit einer weichen Bürste.

Achten Sie darauf, dass dabei kein Staub in das Innere des Gerätes fällt.

3. Nehmen Sie das Lufteintrittsgitter 9 ab.

4. Reinigen Sie das Lufteintrittsgitter 9 sowie das dahinter befindiche Filtergitter vom Staub.

5. Reinigen Sie das Gerät außen mit einem feuchten Lappen. Sie können auch etwas Spülmittel nehmen.

Vorsicht! Verwenden Sie niemals scharfe oder scheuernde Reinigungsmittel, da Ihr Gerät dadurch beschädigt werden könnte.

6. Wischen Sie mit einem Lappen, der mit klarem Wasser angefeuchtet ist, nach.

7. Benutzen Sie das Gerät erst wieder, wenn es vollständig getrocknet ist.

9.1 Gerät

Das Symbol der durchgestrichenen Abfalltonne auf Rädern bedeutet, dass das Produkt in der Europäischen Union einer getrennten Müllsammlung

zugeführt werden muss. Dies gilt für das Gerät und alle mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichneten Zubehörteile. Gekennzeichnete Geräte dürfen nicht über den normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden, sondern müssen an einer Annahmestelle für das Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden. Recycling hilft, den Verbrauch von Rohstoffen zu reduzieren und die Umwelt zu entlasten. Informationen zur Entsorgung und zur Lage des nächsten Recyclinghofes erhalten Sie z.B. bei Ihrer Stadtreinigung oder in den Gelben Seiten.

9.2 Batterien/Akkus

Batterien dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll. Verbrauchte Batterien müssen

sachgerecht entsorgt werden. Zu diesem Zweck stehen im batterievertreibenden Handel sowie bei den kommunalen Sammelstellen entsprechende Behälter zur BatterieEntsorgung bereit. Batterien und Akkus, die mit den folgenden Buchstaben versehen sind, beinhalten u.a. die Schadstoffe: Cd (Cadmium), Hg (Quecksilber), Pb (Blei).

9.3 Verpackung

Wenn Sie die Verpackung entsorgen möchten, achten Sie auf die entsprechenden Umweltvorschriften in Ihrem Land.

10. Garantie der HOYER Handel GmbH

Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde, Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im Falle von Mäng-

eln dieses Gerätes stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Gerätes gesetzliche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch unsere im Folgenden dargestellte Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.

Garantiebedingungen

Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bewahren Sie das Original des Kassenbons gut auf. Diese Unterlage wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.

Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Gerätes ein Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Gerät von uns – nach unserer Wahl – für Sie kostenlos repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus, dass innerhalb der Dreijahresfrist das defekte Gerät und der Kaufbeleg (Kassenbon) vorgelegt und schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin der Mangel besteht und wann er aufgetreten ist.

Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie das reparierte oder ein neues Gerät zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Gerätes beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.

Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche

Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.

Garantieumfang

Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien sorgfältig produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft geprüft. Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Geräteteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und daher als Verschleißteile angesehen werden können oder für Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schaltern, Akkus oder Teilen, die aus Glas gefertigt sind. Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Gerät beschädigt, nicht sachgemäß benutzt oder gewartet wurde. Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung des Gerätes sind alle in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen genau einzuhalten. Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden. Das Gerät ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung, Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserem autorisierten Service-Center vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.

1. Description de l’appareil

1.1 Destination

Cette chauffage céramique colonne SilverCrest SHT 2000 A1 vous permet de chauffer des pièces d'habitation sèches.

Cet appareil est conçu pour un usage domestique privé et n’est pas adapté à un usage commercial. L'appareil est adapté comme chauffage d'appoint. Il n’est pas adapté pour être une source de chauffage unique dans de grands volumes. L'appareil doit être placé exclusivement au sol.

Avant tout usage du produit, prenez connaissance de toutes les consignes d'utilisation et de sécurité. Utilisez le produit uniquement comme décrit et pour les domaines d'application indiqués.

En cas de transfert du produit à un tiers, tous les documents qui accompagnent ce produit doivent être remis simultanément.

• L’emploi de cet appareil est interdit aux personnes (y compris les enfants) souffrant de capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales restreintes ou ne pouvant pas s'en servir pour cause d'un manque d'expériences et / ou de connaissances, sauf s’ils sont surveillés par une personne compétente pour la sécurité ou si ladite personne leur a donné des instructions d’emploi pour l’appareil. Il est important de surveiller les enfants en bas âge, afin qu'ils ne jouent pas avec l'appareil.

• Seul notre centre de service après-vente est habilité à remettre en état l'appareil dans le cas de dysfonctionnements éventuels.

• L’appareil peut être installé uniquement sur une surface stable, plane, sèche et non inflammable.

• Veillez à ce que la prise reste bien accessible pour pouvoir éventuellement la débrancher rapidement.

4.3 Protection contre la décharge

• Ne branchez l'appareil qu’à une prise de courant de sécurité installée en toute conformité.

• Vous ne devez pas continuer à utiliser l’appareil s'il est tombé par terre, s'il a reçu un choc violent ou s'il est tombé dans l'eau. Veuillez dans ce cas vous adresser au centre de service aprèsvente. Vous trouverez les données de contact dans « Service après-vente » à la page 28.

• Si l’appareil est endommagé, ne l’utiliser en aucun cas. Faites dans ce cas réparer l’appareil par une main d’oeuvre qualifiée. Vous trouverez les données de contact dans « Service après-vente » à la page 28.

• Si le câble secteur de l’appareil est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un câble neuf auprès du fabricant ou d’une autre personne compétente afin d’éviter le moindre risque.

• N'utilisez jamais l'appareil à proximité immédiate d'un lavabo, d'une baignoire, d'une douche ou d'une piscine, car de l'eau pourrait être projetée sur l'appareil.

• L’eau ou d’autres liquides ne peuvent en aucun cas pénétrer dans l’appareil. Par conséquent : – Ne jamais l’utiliser à l’air libre ; – Ne jamais poser sur l’appareil des

récipients remplis de liquide tels que des verres, des vases, etc ;

– n'utilisez jamais l'appareil dans un

environnement très humide tel qu'une salle de bains ;

– Ne jamais le faire fonctionner

directement à côté d’un évier.

• N'essayez jamais d'accéder à l'intérieur de l'appareil à travers la grille de protection avec les doigts ou avec des objets.

• Ne saisissez jamais l’appareil, le câble secteur ou la prise secteur, les mains humides.

• Débranchez toujours le câble secteur en tirant sur la prise mâle. Ne tirez jamais sur le câble lui-même.

• Veillez à ne jamais couder ou coincer le câble d’alimentation.

• Veillez à ce que le câble secteur ne soit pas endommagé par des arêtes vives.

• Maintenez le câble secteur éloigné des surfaces à haute température (comme de la table de cuisson par ex.).

• Si vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pendant une période prolongée, retirez la fiche secteur de la prise de courant. Dès lors, l’appareil ne sera plus du tout alimenté en courant.

• Evitez l’utilisation de rallonges. Elle est autorisée dans certaines conditions uniquement : – la rallonge doit convenir à l’ampérage

de l'appareil ;

– la rallonge ne doit pas être posée

« volante » : elle ne doit ni pouvoir provoquer de chute, ni pouvoir être atteinte par des enfants ;

– la rallonge ne doit en aucun cas être

endommagée ;

– aucun autre appareil que celui-ci ne doit

• L'appareil ne doit pas être mis en marche au moyen d'un interrupteur horaire programmable ni d'un système de déclenchement à distance séparé, par ex. prise à télécommande RF.

• Durant le fonctionnement, aucun objet inflammable (par ex. rideaux, papier, etc.) ne peut se trouver à proximité de l’appareil.

• N’utilisez jamais l’appareil pour sécher des textiles ou autres objets, notamment en les mettant sur ou devant l’appareil.

• Afin d’éviter une surchauffe, ne couvrez jamais l'appareil.

• En installant l’appareil, gardez une distance minimale de 1,5 m par rapport aux autres appareils ou au mur.

• N'utilisez jamais l'appareil dans des zones explosives ou à proximité de gaz ou de liquides inflammables.

• L’appareil ne doit jamais être placé directement sous une prise dans le mur, étant donné que la chaleur pourrait causer des dommages à l'installation électrique.

• Veillez toujours à ce que l’air puisse entrer et sortir librement. Sinon, cela risque de provoquer une accumulation de chaleur.

• Ne laissez jamais l’appareil fonctionner sans surveillance. Une formation intense d’odeurs est presque toujours synonyme de dommages. • Conservez une distance suffisante avec l’appareil pour empêcher que les cheveux ou les vêtements ne soient aspirés par le ventilateur.

• Si vous voulez transporter l’appareil mais qu'il est encore chaud, éteignez-le, débranchez la prise et attendez que l'appareil ait refroidi. Autrement, vous risquez de vous brûler sur les surfaces chaudes.

4.6 Pour la sécurité de votre enfant

Attention ! Les enfants ne sont fréquemment pas à même d’évaluer correctement les dangers, risquant ainsi de se blesser. Prenez note par conséquent :

• Ce appareil ne doit être utilisé que sous la surveillance d'adultes pour empêcher que des enfants jouent avec.

• Veillez attentivement à ce que l’appareil se trouve toujours hors de la portée des enfants.

• La télécommande contient des piles. Veillez à ne jamais mettre à la portée des enfants pour ne pas risquer qu’ils les avalent.

L'ingestion des piles peut être mortelle. Si des piles ont été avalées, appelez immédiatement des secours médicaux.

• Ne laissez jamais les enfants jouer avec l’emballage plastique (risque d’étouffement). Les films d’emballage ne sont pas des jouets.

Si de l'acide s'est échappé des piles, évitez tout contact avec la peau, les yeux et les muqueuses afin d'éviter toute blessure. En cas de contact avec de l'acide, rincez immédiatement et abondamment les points de contact à l'eau claire et consultez un médecin sans attendre.

Prudence ! Pour éviter tout dommage à l'appareil et pour garantir son fonctionnement, respectez les points suivants :

• Utilisez exclusivement les piles de type AAA.

4.8 Dommages matériels

Prudence ! Respectez les consignes suivantes pour éviter les dommages matériels.

• N’essayez jamais de faire tourner l’appareil à la main, ceci pourrait endommager le moteur.

• Si l’appareil n’est pas utilisé pendant longtemps, retirez les piles de la télécommande. En cas de fuite, elles pourraient endommager la télécommande.

4.7 Manipulation des piles

Attention !

Afin d’éviter un risque d’explosion, les piles normales ne peuvent pas être chargées, chauffées ni être éliminées en les brûlant.

• Ne tentez jamais d’ouvrir les piles.

5. Déballage, installation et insertion des piles

5.1 Mise en place de l'appareil

Remarque : Comme l'appareil ou les éléments chauffants ont été légèrement graissés avant la livraison, il est possible qu'une légère formation de fumée ou d'odeur se produise lors de la première utilisation. Ceci est sans conséquence et s'arrête après quelques minutes. Veillez à assurer une ventilation suffisante à ce moment-là.

1. Retirez l’appareil de son emballage.

2. Enlevez l'emballage de transport.

3. Vérifiez que l’appareil n’est pas endommagé.

Attention ! Conservez une distance suffisante avec le mur, le mobilier ou les autres appareils. Cette distance doit être d'au moins 1,5 m, pour éviter tout risque d'incendie.

4. Choisissez un emplacement qui correspond aux consignes de sécurité (voir « 4.2 Consignes générales » à la page 17).

5. Choisissez l’emplacement de façon à ce que le flux d’air chaud ne soit pas dirigé directement vers les personnes, les animaux ou les plantes.

6. Insérez la fiche secteur dans une prise en conformité avec les données techniques.

Remarque : L’appareil consomme jusqu’à 10 ampères (2000 watt). Si d'autres consommateurs de courant sont branchés sur le même circuit, veillez à ce que la charge maximale admissible du

disjoncteur général ne soit pas dépassée, car cela déclencherait le disjoncteur.

5.2 Insertion des piles

Si l'appareil est neuf ou si les piles de la télécommande sont déchargées, il faut mettre deux piles neuves de type AAA.

1. Ouvrez le logement des piles de la télécommande en poussant le couvercle du logement des piles vers le bas.

2. Retirez les anciennes piles le cas échéant.

Remarque : Attention aux consignes de mise au rebut(voir « 9.2 Piles/ accus » à la page 26)

3. Insérez les piles neuves. Remarque : Lors du placement des

piles, veillez à respecter la polarité correcte (+/–). La polarité correcte est gravée sur le logement de pile.

4. Faire glisser le couvercle sur le logement de pile.

6. Utilisation

6.1 Afficher sur l’écran

La fonction choisie est affichée sur l’écran 10.

6.2 Télécommande

L’appareil peut être commandé sur le panneau de commande 2ou avec la télécommande 23. Les numéros de référence indiqués dans le texte sont valables pour le panneau d’affichage 2 ou la télécommande 23.

6.3 Mise en marche et à l’arrêt de l’appareil

1. Enfichez la fiche dans une prise

correspondant aux données techniques (voir « 3. Caractéristiques techniques » à la page 17).

2. Mettez l'appareil sous tension en

plaçant l'interrupteur principal 5 sur «ON».

L'interrupteur principal 5 s'allume.

3. Pour mettre l’appareil en marche,

appuyez sur la touche marche/arrêt 16 ou 22.

L'écran 10 indique la température actuelle.

4. Pour mettre l’appareil à l'arrêt, appuyez

sur la touche marche/arrêt 16 ou 22. L'appareil continue de fonctionner un

court instant, puis s'éteint.

5. Pour mettre l’appareil entièrement hors

tension, réglez l’interrupteur principal 5 sur «OFF».

Les réglages que vous avec pu faire sont perdus.

6.4 Réglage de la puissance de chauffage

1. Pour régler un niveau de chauffage,

appuyez sur le sélecteur 11 ou 21 autant que nécessaire pour afficher sur l’écran 10 le niveau de chauffage voulu :

– Petite puissance de chauffage :

L’appareil fonctionne avec 1000 Watt

– Grande puissance de chauffage :

L’appareil fonctionne avec 2000 Watt

– Mode hors gel: L’appareil empêche

la température de la pièce de tomber en dessous de la limite de gel.

6.5 Sélection de la température

1. Sélectionnez un des deux niveaux de chauffage..

2. Appuyez sur la touche «+» 14 ou 18 pour augmenter la température de consigne jusqu'à un maximum de 35 °C.

3. Appuyez sur la touche «-» 15 ou 17 pour abaisser la température de consigne jusqu'à un minimum de 5 °C.

La température de consigne choisie est affichée sur l’écran 10.

Dès que la température de la pièce a atteint la température de consigne, le chauffage s’arrête. Le ventilateur continue de fonctionner quelques secondes, pour éviter une accumulation de chaleur . Si la température de la pièce passe en dessous de la température de consigne, le chauffage et la ventilation se réenclenchent automatiquement.

6.6 Réglage de la durée

L’appareil est doté d’une minuterie vous permettant de régler la durée de votre choix. La durée maximale est de 23 heures et 59

minutes. A la fin de la durée de chauffage, l'appareil s'éteint automatiquement.

1. Pour activer la minuterie, appuyez sur la touche 12 ou 19.

A l'écran, l'affichage 00:00 apparaît et les heures clignotent.

2. Appuyez sur la touche «+» 14 ou 18, pour augmenter les heures.

3. Appuyez sur la touche «-» 15 ou 17, pour diminuer les heures.

4. Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur le bouton de la minuterie 12 ou 19.

Les minutes clignotent.

5. Appuyez sur la touche «+» 14 ou 18, pour augmenter les minutes.

6. Appuyez sur la touche «-» 15 ou 17, pour diminuer les minutes.

7. Appuyez une nouvelle fois sur le bouton de la minuterie 12 ou 19 pour activer la minuterie.

La durée choisie est affichée sur l’écran

Dès que la durée a expiré, l’appareil se met automatiquement à l’arrêt.

8. Pour mettre l’appareil à l'arrêt sans tenir compte de la minuterie, appuyez sur la touche marche/arrêt 16 ou 22.

6.7 Fonction de pivotement

L’appareil possède une fonction de pivotement.

Elle permet à l’appareil de pivoter et de répartir par conséquent l’air sortant de manière homogène dans la pièce :

1. Pour enclencher la fonction de pivotement, appuyez sur la touche de fonction de pivotement 13 ou 20.

2. Pour arrêter la fonction de pivotement, appuyez de nouveau sur la touche de fonction de pivotement 13 ou 20.

6.8 Protection contre la surchauffe

Pour votre sécurité, cet appareil est muni d'une protection contre la surchauffe.

Si la température à l'intérieur de l'appareil est trop élevée, celui-ci s'éteint automatiquement :

1. Mettez l'appareil hors tension en plaçant l'interrupteur principal 5 sur «OFF».

2. Vérifiez si l'entrée d'air ou la sortie d'air est obstruée et éliminez la cause.

Si aucune cause n'est constatée et que le problème se reproduit, faites réparer l'appareil ou mettez-le hors service.

3. Attendez que l'appareil ait refroidi.

4. Vous pourrez alors le remettre en service normalement.

Si la température ambiante excède 50 °C, la protection contre la surchauffe éteint également l'appareil. Il est à nouveau opérationnel quant la température ambiante repasse sous les 50 °C.

6.9 Interrupteur de sécurité

L’appareil est protégé à l’aide d’un interrupteur de sécurité contre les dommages dus à la chute.

L’interrupteur de sécurité se trouve sur la partie inférieure de l’appareil et le désenclenche immédiatement en cas de chute

7. Nettoyage

Afin que puissiez profiter à long terme de votre appareil, vous devez le nettoyer régulièrement.

Attention ! Pour éviter le risque de décharge électrique ou de brûlure : –Avant chaque nettoyage,

débranchez la fiche secteur ; –Laissez refroidir l’appareil ; –N’immergez jamais l’appareil

dans l’eau ; –Ne laissez pas pénétrer l’eau ou

du produit de nettoyage dans

l’appareil.

1. Retirez avec précaution les dépôts de poussière importants se trouvant dans la grille de sortie d'air 4 à l’aide d’un aspirateur.

2. Vous pouvez enlever les restes avec une brosse souple.

Ce faisant, veillez à ce que la poussière ne puisse pas pénétrer à l’intérieur de l’appareil.

3. Retirer la grille d'arrivée d'air 9.

4. Dépoussiérez la grille d'arrivée d'air 9 et la grille de filtre qui se trouve derrière elle.

5. Nettoyez l’appareil à l’extérieur avec un chiffon humide. Vous pouvez également utiliser un peu de produit de vaisselle.

Prudence ! N’utilisez jamais des produits de nettoyage corrosifs ou abrasifs car cela risquerait d’endommager votre appareil.

6. Nettoyez l'appareil avec un chiffon humidifié à l'eau claire.

7. Ne réutilisez l’appareil qu’une fois ce dernier totalement sec.

9. Mise au rebut

9.1 Appareil

Le pictogramme avec le tonneau sur roues barré signifie que le produit doit être affecté à une collecte des déchets séparées dans les Etats

membres de l'Union européenne. Cette disposition s'applique au produit et à tous les accessoires portant ce pictogramme. Il est interdit de jeter les produits marqués en conséquence dans les ordures ménagères normales et imposé de les remettre à un poste de collecte pour le recyclage des appareils électriques et électroniques. Le recyclage aide à réduire la consommation de matières premières et soulage notre environnement. Par conséquent, veuillez absolument respecter les prescriptions en matière d’élimination en vigueur dans votre pays.

9.2 Piles/accus

Les piles ne doivent jamais être jetées aux ordures ménagères. Les

piles usagées doivent être éliminées conformément aux règlements locaux. Des conteneurs adéquats sont mis à disposition chez les vendeurs ou dans les points de collecte municipaux. Les piles et accus possédant les lettres ci-après contiennent des substances toxiques : Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercure), Pb (plomb).

9.3 Emballage

Si vous souhaitez mettre l'emballage au rebut, respectez les règlements en vigueur dans votre pays.

Chers clients, Ce produit est garanti pendant 3 ans à compter de la date d’achat. Si vous

constatez des défauts, vous disposez d'un recours légal à l'encontre du vendeur. Ces droits légaux ne sont pas limités par notre garantie, exposée comme suit.

Conditions de la garantie

Le délai de garantie courre à partir de la date d'achat. Conservez soigneusement le ticket de caisse. Ce document sert de preuve d'achat. Si un défaut de matériel ou de fabrication survient au cours des trois années suivant la date d'achat du produit, celui-ci est réparé gratuitement ou remplacé, à notre discrétion. Cette garantie s'applique à condition que le produit défectueux soit retourné accompagné du justificatif d'achat (ticket de caisse) durant cet intervalle de trois ans, avec une explication écrite succincte de l'origine et de la date du défaut constaté. 1.1 Impiego previsto

Il termoventilatore a colonna SilverCrest SHT 2000 A1 serve per riscaldare ambienti asciutti. Questo apparecchio è destinato all’uso in abitazioni private e non può essere utilizzato per scopi commerciali. L’apparecchio è indicato per il riscaldamento aggiuntivo. È meno indicato per l’utilizzo come unica fonte di riscaldamento in ambienti grandi. L’apparecchio deve essere collocato esclusivamente su pavimento.

Prima di utilizzare il prodotto leggere con attenzione tutte le avvertenze relative all'uso e alla sicurezza. Utilizzare il prodotto solo come descritto e per i campi di impiego indicati.

In caso di cessione del prodotto a terzi consegnare tutta la documentazione.

I bambini devono essere controllati per assicurarsi che non giochino con l'apparecchio.

• In caso di eventuali anomalie di funzionamento, la riparazione dell’apparecchio deve essere eseguita solo dal nostro centro assistenza.

• Il dispositivo deve essere utilizzato esclusivamente su base fissa, piatta, asciutta e ignifuga.

• Accertarsi che la presa sia ben accessibile, in modo da poter estrarre rapidamente la spina di rete in caso di necessità.

4.3 Protezione dalle folgorazioni

Pericolo! Le seguenti istruzioni di sicurezza servono per proteggere l’utente da folgorazioni elettriche.

• Collegare l’apparecchio esclusivamente ad una presa con contatto a terra installata conformemente alle norme.

• Se l’apparecchio cade a terra o riceve un forte colpo oppure cade nell’acqua, non deve più essere utilizzato. In tal caso rivolgersi al nostro Service-Center. Per i dati di contatto si rimanda al “Centro d’assistenza” a pagina 41.

• Mai utilizzare l’apparecchio se danneggiato. In tal caso la riparazione dell’apparecchio deve essere eseguita da personale specializzato. Per i dati di contatto si rimanda al “Centro d’assistenza” a pagina 41.

• Se il cavo di rete di questo apparecchio è danneggiato, deve essere sostituito dal

produttore o da una persona ugualmente qualificata, per evitare pericoli.

• Non utilizzare mai l’apparecchio in prossimità di lavelli, vasche da bagno, docce o piscine, poiché gli schizzi d’acqua potrebbero penetrare nell’apparecchio.

• Evitare il contatto di acqua o di altri liquidi con l’apparecchio. Quindi: – non utilizzare all’aperto; – non posizionare contenitori con liquidi

quali vasi, bicchieri, ecc. sull’apparecchio;

– mai in ambiente molto umido come ad

es. la stanza da bagno

– non utilizzare direttamente vicino a un

lavabo.

In caso di contatto dell’apparecchio con liquidi, rimuovere immediatamente la spina di rete e far riparare il dispositivo da personale qualificato. Per i dati di contatto si rimanda al “Centro d’assistenza” a pagina 41.

• Non tentare mai di raggiungere con dita od oggetti l’interno dell’unità passando attraverso la griglia protettiva.

• Non toccate mai l’apparecchio, il cavo di allacciamento alla rete o la spina con mani bagnate.

• Staccate il cavo di allacciamento alla rete solo afferrandone la spina. Non tirare mai il cavo stesso.

• Fare attenzione a non piegare o schiacciare mai il cavo di rete.

• Accertarsi che il cavo di rete non venga danneggiato da spigoli appuntiti.

• Tenete il cavo di allacciamento alla rete lontano da superfici calde (p. es. piastra del piano cottura).

• Se l’unità non viene utilizzata per lungo tempo, estrarre la spina dalla presa.

Soltanto in questo modo l’apparecchio è completamente privo di alimentazione.

• Dovreste evitare l’uso di prolunghe. Questo è consentito solo in condizioni del tutto particolari: – la prolunga deve essere adatta per

l’amperaggio dell’apparecchio;

– la prolunga non deve essere posata in

modo "volante”: non si deve potervi inciampare o essere raggiungibile dai bambini;

– la prolunga non deve in nessun caso

essere danneggiata;

– alla presa elettrica non devono essere

allacciati altri apparecchi oltre a questo, poiché altrimenti può verificarsi un sovraccarico della rete elettrica (divieto di prese multiple!).

• L’apparecchio non deve essere azionato con un timer esterno o con un sistema di telecontrollo separato, come ad esempio una presa telecomandata.

4.4 Protezione dagli incendi

Pericolo! L’apparecchio funziona a temperature elevate per cui si consiglia di rispettare le seguenti istruzioni per l’uso, per evitare la formazione di incendi.

• Durante il funzionamento non avvicinarsi con oggetti infiammabili (per es. tende, giornali ecc.) nelle dirette vicinanze dell’unità.

• Non utilizzare mai l’unità per asciugare tessuti o altri oggetti.

• Per evitare il surriscaldamento, non coprire l’apparecchio per alcun motivo.

• Rispettare una distanza minima dell’apparecchio di 1,5 m da altri apparecchi o dal muro.

• Non utilizzare mai l’apparecchio in ambienti a rischio di esplosione o nelle

immediate vicinanze di gas o liquidi infiammabili.

• Non posizionare mai l’apparecchio sotto una presa a parete, poiché il calore prodotto potrebbe danneggiare l’impianto elettrico.

• Controllare sempre che l’ingresso e l’uscita dell’aria siano privi di ostacoli. Altrimenti nel ventilatore si può formare ristagno di calore.

• Non lasciare l’apparecchio in funzione senza supervisione. Eventuali problemi di funzionamento si notano quasi sempre per la formazione intensa di cattivo odore. In tal caso estrarre immediatamente la spina e sottoporre l’unità a controllo. Per i dati di contatto si rimanda al “Centro d’assistenza” a pagina 41.

4.5 Protezione da lesioni

Pericolo! Osservare le seguenti indicazioni, per evitare di provocare lesioni.

• Assicurarsi che non sussista mai il pericolo di inciampare nel cavo di rete oppure che nessuno vi si possa impigliare o lo possa calpestare.

• Mantenersi a una distanza adeguata dall’apparecchio, per evitare che il ventilatore integrato possa aspirare capelli o lembi di vestiti.

• Per trasportare il dispositivo caldo, occorre spegnerlo, sfilare la spina di rete e attendere che si sia raffreddato. Altrimenti la superficie calda potrebbe provocare ustioni.

4.6 Per la sicurezza dei bambini

Pericolo! Spesso i bambini non sono in grado di valutare bene i pericoli e possono così provocarsi lesioni. Per questo motivo osservare quanto segue:

• Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato esclusivamente sotto la supervisione di adulti per garantire che non venga utilizzato dai bambini come giocattolo.

• Assicurarsi con attenzione che l’apparecchio si trovi sempre al di fuori della portata dei bambini.

• Il telecomando contiene batterie. Assicurarsi che non finisca mai nelle mani dei bambini e che non venga ingerita.

L’ingestione delle batterie può provocare la morte. In caso di ingestione della batteria, contattare immediatamente un medico.

• Prestare attenzione che la pellicola da imballaggio non metta a repentaglio la vita dei bambini. Le pellicole da imballaggio non sono giocattoli.

Attenzione! Per evitare danni all’apparecchio e garantirne il funzionamento corretto, osservare quanto segue:

• Utilizzare esclusivamente batterie di tipo AAA.

4.8 Danni materiali

Attenzione! Per evitare danni alle cose, attenersi alle seguenti disposizioni.

• Non tentare mai di girare l’apparecchio manualmente, poiché il motore potrebbe subire danneggiamenti.

• Rimuovere la batteria dal telecomando, se questo non viene utilizzato per lunghi periodi. Il telecomando può subire danni in seguito alla fuoriuscita di liquido dalla batteria.

4.7 Utilizzo delle batterie

Pericolo!

Per evitare il pericolo di esplosioni, le normali batterie non devono essere ricaricate o esposte a calore o fiamme.

• Non tentare mai di aprire la batteria. In caso di fuoriuscita dell’acido della

batteria, evitare il contatto con pelle, occhi e mucose, per non provocare lesioni. In caso di contatto con l’acido, lavare subito la parte interessata con acqua pulita e abbondante e contattare immediatamente un medico.

5. Disimballaggio, posizionamento, inserimento della batteria

5.1 Posizionamento dell’apparecchio

Nota: L’apparecchio o i serpentini di riscaldamento sono forniti con un leggero ingrassaggio, pertanto in occasione del primo utilizzo potrebbe verificarsi una debole produzione di fumo e di cattivo odore. Si tratta di un fenomeno del tutto innocuo, che termina dopo breve tempo. Al verificarsi del fenomeno, provvedere a un’aerazione sufficiente.

1. Estrarre l’apparecchio dalla confezione.

2. Rimuovere l’imballaggio di trasporto.

3. Verificare che l’apparecchio non presenti danni.

Pericolo! Rispettare una distanza adeguata dal muro, dagli oggetti di arredamento o dalle altre apparecchiature. La distanza deve essere di almeno 1,5 m, per escludere il pericolo d’incendio.

4. Scegliere un luogo di posizionamento conforme alle istruzioni di sicurezza (vedere “4.2 Indicazioni generali” a pagina 30).

5. Selezionare una posizione in cui persone, animali o piante non possano essere investite direttamente dalla corrente di aria calda.

6. Inserire la spina di rete in una presa che corrisponda ai dati tecnici.

Nota: L’apparecchio consuma max. 10 Ampere di corrente (2.000 Watt). Qualora siano state collegate altre utenze allo stesso circuito elettrico, prestare attenzione a non superare il carico massimo ammissibile per il dispositivo di protezione installato, al fine di non farlo scattare.

5.2 Inserimento delle batterie

Se l’apparecchio è nuovo o se le batterie nel telecomando sono esaurite, è necessario inserire due batterie nuove di tipo AAA.

1. Aprire il vano batterie del telecomando spingendo verso il basso il coperchio del vano batterie.

2. Estrarre le batterie vecchie, se presenti. Indicazione: rispettare le norme di

smaltimento (vedere “9.2 Batterie/ Accumulatori” a pagina 39).

3. Inserire nuove batterie. Indicazione: per l’inserimento delle

batterie, rispettare la corretta polarità (+/–), indicata peraltro sul vano batteria.

4. Spingere nuovamente il coperchio sul vano batterie.

6. Funzionamento

6.1 Visualizzazioni sul display

La funzione selezionata viene mostrata sul display 10.

6.2 Telecomando

L’apparecchio può essere controllato tramite il quadro di comando 2 oppure il telecomando 23. I numeri di riferimento indicati nel testo valgono per il quadro di comando 2 o il telecomando 23.

6.3 Accensione e spegnimento dell’apparecchio

2. Attivare l’alimentazione di rete, posizionando l’interruttore principale 5 su "ON" .

L’interruttore principale 5 si illumina.

3. Accendere l’apparecchio premendo il tasto di accensione/spegnimento16 ovvero 22.

Il display 10 mostra la temperatura ambiente attuale.

4. Spegnere l’apparecchio premendo nuovamente il tasto di accensione/ spegnimento16 ovvero 22.

L'apparecchio continua a funzionare per un breve lasso di tempo quindi si disattiva.

5. Per scollegare l’alimentazione, posizionare l’interruttore principale 5 su "OFF".

Eventuali valori impostati andranno persi.

6.4 Impostazione della potenza termica

1. A tale scopo premere il selettore di funzioni 11 ovvero 21 finché sul display 10 non viene mostrato il livello di riscaldamento desiderato:

1. Inserire la spina di rete in una presa che corrisponda ai dati tecnici (vedere “3. Dati tecnici” a pagina 30).

– Funzionamento con protezione

antigelo: l'apparecchio evita che la temperatura ambiente scenda al di sotto dei limiti di gelo.

6.5 Selezione della temperatura

1. Selezionare uno dei due livelli di riscaldamento.

2. Con il tasto "+" 14 ovvero 18 si aumenta la temperatura nominale fino a max. 35 °C.

3. Con il tasto "-" 15 ovvero 17 si diminuisce la temperatura nominale fino a min. 5 °C.

La temperatura nominale selezionata viene mostrata sul display 10.

Appena la temperatura ambiente ha raggiunto la temperatura nominale, il riscaldamento viene disattivato. Il ventilatore continua a funzionare per alcuni secondi per evitare un ristagno di calore.

Se la temperatura ambiente scende al di sotto della temperatura nominale, il riscaldamento si riattiva automaticamente.

– Funzionamento ventilatore: il

ventilatore funziona senza riscaldamento.

6.6 Impostazione del lasso di tempo

L’apparecchio dispone di un timer con il quale è possibile impostare il lasso di tempo desiderato. Il tempo desiderato massimo è di 23 ore e 59 minuti. Allo scadere dell’intervallo impostato, l’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente.

1. Per attivare il timer, premere il tasto del timer 12 ovvero 19.

Sul display compare 00:00 e le ore lampeggiano.

2. Premere il tasto "+" 14 ovvero 18 per aumentare le ore.

3. Premere il tasto "-" 15 ovvero 17 per diminuire le ore.

4. Premere di nuovo il tasto del timer 12 ovvero 19.

I minuti lampeggiano.

5. Premere il tasto "+" 14 ovvero 18 per aumentare i minuti.

6. Premere il tasto "-" 15 ovvero 17 per diminuire i minuti.

7. Premere di nuovo il tasto del timer 12 ovvero 19 per attivare il timer.

Il lasso di tempo selezionato viene mostrato sul display 10.

Una volta trascorso il lasso di tempo impostato l’apparecchio si spegne automaticamente.

8. Per disattivare l'apparecchio anche con timer attivato, premere il tasto di accensione/spegnimento 16 ovvero 22.

6.7 Funzione di oscillazione

L’apparecchio è dotato di funzione di oscillazione.

Questa funzione permette di far oscillare l’apparecchio per distribuire l’aria in uscita in modo uniforme nell’ambiente:

1. Disattivare la funzione di oscillazione premendo il tasto per la funzione di oscillazione 13 o 20.

2. Disattivare la funzione di oscillazione premendo il tasto per la funzione di oscillazione 13 o 20 .

6.8 Protezione da surriscaldamento

Per ragioni di sicurezza, questo apparecchio è dotato di una protezione da surriscaldamento.

Se la temperatura interna diventa troppo alta, l’apparecchio si spegne:

1. Spegnere l’apparecchio posizionando l’interruttore principale5 su "OFF".

2. Verificare che l’ingresso o l’uscita dell’aria siano privi di ostruzioni e risolvere il problema.

Qualora non sia possibile stabilire la causa e l’errore si ripeta, far riparare l’apparecchio o cessarne l’utilizzo.

3. Attendere che l’apparecchio si sia raffreddato.

4. Quindi riprendere il normale funzionamento.

Quando la temperatura ambiente supera i 50 °C, la protezione da surriscaldamento disattiva l'apparecchio. Quest'ultimo può essere riattivato appena la temperatura ambiente scende al di sotto di 50 °C.

6.9 Interruttore di sicurezza

L’apparecchio è protetto da danneggiamenti e guasti grazie a un interruttore di sicurezza.

L’interruttore di sicurezza si trova sul lato inferiore dell’apparecchio e serve per disattivarlo immediatamente in caso di guasto:

1. Ripristinare l’uso dell’apparecchio.

2. Selezionare di nuovo la funzione desiderata (vedere “6.1 Visualizzazioni sul display” a pagina 35).

7. Pulizia

Per poter prolungare la durata dell’unità si consiglia di effettuare una pulizia regolare.

Pericolo! Per evitare il pericolo di folgorazioni o di ustioni: – estrarre la spina dalla presa

prima di ogni operazione di

pulizia; – far raffreddare il dispositivo; – non immergere l’unità in acqua; – evitare la penetrazione di acqua

o detergenti nell’apparecchio.

1. Rimuovere con cautela i depositi di polvere sulla griglia di uscita dell’aria 4 utilizzando un aspirapolvere.

2. Per rimuovere la polvere più ostinata utilizzare una spazzola morbida.

Evitare la penetrazione di polvere all’interno dell’apparecchio.

3. Rimuovere la griglia di uscita dell'aria 9.

4. Pulire la griglia di uscita dell'aria 9 e la griglia filtro che si trova dietro di essa.

5. Pulire l’unità esterna con un panno umido. Eventualmente con l’aggiunta di detergente.

Attenzione! Evitare l’uso di detergenti aggressivi che possono danneggiare l’unità.

6. Strofinare con un panno inumidito con acqua pulita.

7. Riutilizzare l’apparecchio solo quando è completamente asciutto.

9. Smaltimento

9.1 Apparecchio

Il simbolo con il bidone della spazzatura su ruote depennato significa che nell'Unione Europea il prodotto deve essere smaltito nella

spazzatura differenziata. Ciò vale sia per il prodotto che per tutti gli accessori contrassegnati con lo stesso simbolo. I prodotti contrassegnati non possono essere smaltiti nei rifiuti normali, ma devono essere consegnati ad un ufficio accettazione di riciclaggio di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche. Il riciclaggio aiuta a ridurre notevolmente il consumo di materie grezze e soprattutto l'inquinamento ambientale. Rispettare scrupolosamente le disposizioni in materia di smaltimento in vigore nel proprio paese.

Gentile cliente, questo apparecchio è accompagnato da una garanzia di 3 anni a partire dalla data

di acquisto. In caso di difetti del prodotto può far valere i Suoi diritti nei confronti del venditore come previsto dalla legge. Tali diritti di legge non sono limitati dalla nostra garanzia, descritta di seguito in dettaglio.

Condizioni di garanzia

Il periodo di garanzia ha inizio dalla data di acquisto. Conservare pertanto lo scontrino di cassa originale, in quanto documento comprovante l'acquisto.

9.2 Batterie/Accumulatori

Le batterie non devono essere gettate tra i rifiuti domestici. Le

batterie esaurite devono essere smaltite in modo appropriato. A tale scopo, presso i negozi che vendono batterie e nei punti di raccolta dei rifiuti cittadini sono presenti gli idonei contenitori per lo smaltimento delle batterie. Batterie e accumulatori contraddistinti dai seguenti caratteri contengono, tra le altre, le seguenti sostanze: Cd (cadmio), Hg (mercurio), Pb (piombo).

9.3 Imballaggio

Se volete smaltire la confezione, fate attenzione alle relative disposizioni ambientali del vostro paese.

Se entro tre anni dalla data di acquisto di questo prodotto insorge un difetto di materiale o di fabbricazione, ci impegniamo a riparare o a sostituire a nostra scelta il prodotto. La prestazioni di garanzia presuppone, entro il termine di tre anni, la presentazione dell'apparecchio difettoso e della prova di acquisto (scontrino di cassa) e una breve descrizione scritta del difetto e del momento in cui è insorto. Se il difetto è coperto dalla nostra garanzia, ci impegniamo a rispedire il prodotto riparato o un nuovo prodotto. Con la riparazione o la sostituzione del prodotto non decorre un nuovo periodo di garanzia.

Periodo di garanzia e rivendicazioni per difetti

Il periodo di garanzia non viene prolungato dalla prestazione di garanzia. Questo vale anche per le parti sostituite e riparate. Eventuali danni o difetti riscontrati già al momento dell'acquisto devono essere comunicati subito dopo l'apertura della confezione. Dopo lo scadere del periodo di garanzia le riparazioni vengono effettuate a pagamento.

Ambito della garanzia

L’apparecchio è stato prodotto rispettando i più severi standard di qualità ed è stato scrupolosamente testato prima della spedizione.

La garanzia copre i difetti di materiale o di fabbricazione. Non si estende alle parti del prodotto soggette a normale usura e considerate pertanto parti usurabili, né ai danni ai componenti più fragili, ad es. interruttori, batterie o parti in vetro.

La garanzia decade se il prodotto viene danneggiato, utilizzato o sottoposto a manutenzione in modo non conforme. Per un utilizzo conforme del prodotto è necessario attenersi a tutte le avvertenze contenute nelle istruzioni per l'uso. Sono assolutamente da evitare gli utilizzi e le azioni che le istruzioni per l'uso sconsigliano. Il prodotto è concepito esclusivamente per l’uso privato, non per quello commerciale. La garanzia decade in caso di utilizzo indebito e non conforme, uso della forza e interventi non effettuati dal nostro centro d'assistenza autorizzato.

Met de keramische verwarmingstoren SilverCrest SHT 2000 A1 kunt u droge woonruimten verwarmen. Dit apparaat is bedoeld voor privégebruik en is niet geschikt voor commercieel gebruik. Het apparaat is geschikt als aanvullende verwarming. Het apparaat is minder geschikt als enige verwarming van grote ruimtes. Het apparaat mag uitsluitend op de bodem worden geplaatst.

Maak u, voor het eerste gebruik van het product , vertrouwd met alle bedienings- en veiligheidsaanwijzingen. Gebruik het product alleen op de beschreven wijze en voor de aangegeven toepassingsgebieden.

Overhandig ook alle documenten wanneer u dit product aan derden doorgeeft.

4.2 Algemene aanwijzingen

• Lees vóór het gebruik a.u.b. aandachtig deze gebruiksaanwijzing. Ze is bestanddeel van het apparaat en moet te allen tijde beschikbaar zijn.

• Gebruik het apparaat uitsluitend voor de beschreven toepassing (zie „1.1 Toepassingsdoel“ op pagina 42).

• Controleer of de benodigde netspanning (zie typeplaatje op het

• Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden gebruikt door personen (inclusief kinderen) met beperkte fysieke, sensorische of geestelijke capaciteiten of met een gebrek aan ervaring en/of kennis, tenzij dit gebeurt onder toezicht van een persoon die voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijk is of indien ze van deze persoon instructies kregen over hoe het apparaat dient te worden gebruikt. Op kinderen dient men altijd toe te zien, om te garanderen dat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.

• Bij eventuele storingen in de werking mag de reparatie van het apparaat alleen door ons servicecenter gebeuren.

• Sluit het toestel alleen aan een volgens de voorschriften geïnstalleerd geaard stopcontact aan.

• Als het apparaat mocht zijn gevallen of als er hard tegenaan is gestoten, of als het in het water is gevallen, mag u het niet verder gebruiken. Wend u in dat geval tot ons service-center. De contactgegevens vindt u in „Servicecenter” op pagina 54.

• Als het apparaat is beschadigd, mag het in geen geval meer worden gebruikt.

Laat het apparaat in dat geval door gekwalificeerd personeel repareren. De contactgegevens vindt u in „Servicecenter” op pagina 54.

• Als het netsnoer van dit apparaat wordt beschadigd, moet het door de fabrikant of een ander gekwalificeerd persoon worden vervangen om gevaar te voorkomen.

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de directe nabijheid van een gootsteen, een badkuip, een douche of een zwembad omdat er spatwater in het apparaat zou kunnen komen.

• Er mogen in geen geval water of andere vloeistoffen in het apparaat komen. Let daarom op het volgende: – Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de

open lucht.

– Plaats nooit met vloeistof gevulde

voorwerpen zoals glazen of vazen op het apparaat.

– nooit in zeer vochtige omgeving zoals

Als er niettemin vloeistof in het apparaat komt, trek dan onmiddellijk de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat door gekwalificeerd vakpersoneel repareren. De contactgegevens vindt u in „Service-center” op pagina 54.

• Probeer nooit met uw vingers of voorwerpen door het beschermrooster in het inwendige van het apparaat te grijpen.

• Raak het apparaat, het netsnoer of de stekker nooit met vochtige handen aan.

• Trek het netsnoer altijd aan de stekker uit. Trek nooit aan het snoer zelf.

• Let erop dat het netsnoer niet geknikt of afgekneld wordt.

• Let erop dat het netsnoer niet door scherpe randen wordt beschadigd.

• Houd het netsnoer uit de buurt van hete oppervlakken (bijv. kookplaten).

• Wanneer u het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt, trek dan de stekker uit het stopcontact. Alleen dan is het apparaat volledig stroomvrij.

• Het gebruik van verlengsnoeren dient u te vermijden. Dit is slechts onder strikte voorwaarden toegestaan: – het verlengsnoer moet geschikt zijn

voor de stroomsterkte van het apparaat;

– het verlengsnoer mag niet "hangend"

worden gelegd: het mag niet voor struikelgevaar zorgen en moet voor kinderen onbereikbaar zijn;

– het verlengsnoer mag in geen geval

beschadigd zijn;

– er mogen geen andere apparaten dan

dit apparaat op hetzelfde stopcontact worden aangesloten, want dit zou tot een overbelasting van het stroomnet kunnen leiden (meervoudige contactdozen verboden!).

• Het apparaat mag niet met een externe tijdschakelklok of een aparte afstandsbedieningssyteem zoals bij v. een radiocontactdoos worden gebruikt.

4.4 Bescherming tegen brandgevaar

Waarschuwing! Daar het apparaat met hoge temperaturen werkt, dient u de volgende veiligheidsaanwijzingen in acht te nemen zodat er geen brand kan ontstaan.

• Tijdens de werking mogen er geen brandbare voorwerpen (bijv. gordijnen, papier enz.) in de directe omgeving van het apparaat aanwezig zijn.

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit om textiel of andere dingen op, boven of voor het apparaat te drogen.

• Om oververhitting te voorkomen, mag het apparaat nooit worden afgedekt.

• Houd bij het opstellen van het apparaat rondom een minimumafstand van 1,5 m tot andere apparaten of de muur aan.

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in explosiegevaarlijke ruimtes of in de nabijheid van brandbare gassen of vloeistoffen.

• Het apparaat mag nooit direct onder een wandcontactdoos worden geplaatst omdat de hitte die ontstaat, schade aan de elektrische installatie kan veroorzaken.

• Let er steeds op dat de lucht vrij in- en uit kan treden. Anders kan er een hitteophoping in het apparaat optreden.

• Laat het apparaat nooit zonder toezicht lopen. Schade kondigt zich bijna altijd aan door een intensieve geurvorming. Trek in dit geval onmiddellijk de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat controleren. De contactgegevens vindt u in „Service-center” op pagina 54.

4.5 Bescherming tegen letsel

Waarschuwing! Neem de volgende aanwijzingen in acht om letsel te voorkomen.

• Zorg ervoor dat niemand over het netsnoer kan struikelen, er verstrikt in kan raken of erop kan trappen.

• Houd voldoende afstand van het apparaat, zodat uw haar of kledingsstukken niet door de ventilator in het apparaat kunnen worden gezogen.

• Wanneer u het hete apparaat wilt transporteren, schakel het dan uit, trek de stekker uit het stopcontact en wacht tot het apparaat afgekoeld is. Anders kunt u zich aan de hete oppervlakken verbranden.

4.6 Voor de veiligheid van uw kind

Waarschuwing! Kinderen kunnen gevaren vaak niet juist inschatten en daardoor letsel oplopen. Let daarom op het volgende:

• Dit apparaat mag alleen onder toezicht van volwassenen worden gebruikt om te garanderen dat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.

• Let er zorgvuldig op dat het apparaat zich altijd buiten bereik van kinderen bevindt.

• De afstandsbediening heeft batterijen. Let erop dat deze nooit in de hand van kinderen komen en worden ingeslikt.

Ingeslikte batterijen kunnen levensgevaarlijk zijn. Consulteer onmiddellijk een arts wanneer de batterij is ingeslikt.

• Zorg ervoor dat de verpakkingsfolie niet een dodelijke val voor kinderen kan vormen. Verpakkingsfolie is geen speelgoed.

Voorzichtig! Let op het volgende om schade te vermijden en de functie te garanderen.

• Gebruik uitsluitend batterijen van het type AAA.

4.8 Materiaalschade

Voorzichtig! Let op de volgende voorschriften om materiaalschade te voorkomen.

• Probeer nooit het apparaat met de hand te draaien, daardoor kan de motor worden beschadigd.

• Verwijder de batterij uit de afstandsbediening wanneer u deze langere tijd niet gebruikt. Door een lekkende batterij kan de afstandsbediening worden beschadigd.

4.7 Omgaan met batterijen

Waarschuwing!

Om explosiegevaar te voorkomen mogen normale batterijen niet geladen, verhit of door verbranden worden opgeruimd.

• Probeer nooit de batterij te openen. Als er batterijzuur is uitgelopen, vermijd

dan contact met huid, ogen en slijmvliezen om letsel te voorkomen. Spoel, bij contact met het zuur, de betreffende plaatsen onmiddellijk met veel helder water en consulteer onmiddellijk een arts.

5. Uitpakken, opstellen, batterij plaatsen

5.1 Apparaat opstellen

Aanwijzing: Omdat het apparaat resp. de verwarmingsslangen licht ingevet worden geleverd, kan zich bij het eerste gebruik lichte rook- en geurvorming vormen. Dat kan geen kwaad en houdt na korte tijd op. Zorg ondertussen op voldoende ventilatie.

1. Neem het apparaat uit de verpakking.

2. Verwijder de transportverpakking.

3. Controleer of het toestel geen

beschadigingen heeft.

Waarschuwing! Let op voldoende afstand tot de muur, inrichtingsvoorwerpen of andere apparaten. De afstand moet minstens 1,5 m bedragen, om brandgevaar uit te sluiten.

4. Kies een standplaats die aan de

veiligheidsaanwijzingen voldoet (zie „4.2 Algemene aanwijzingen“ op pagina 43).

5. Kies de opstellingsplaat zo dat

personen, dieren of planten niet direct door de hete luchtstroom worde geraakt.

6. Stop de netstekker in een stopcontact

dat aan de technische gegevens voldoet.

Aanwijzing: Het apparaat trekt tot maximaal 10 Ampère stroom (2.000 Watt). Wanneer er nog meer verbruikers aan het zelfde stroomcircuit zijn aangesloten, let er dan op dat de maximale belastbaarheid van de geïnstalleerde zekering niet worden overschreden omdat anders de zekering activeert.

5.2 Batterijen plaatsen

Wanneer het apparaat nieuw is of wanneer de batterijen in de afstandsbediening leeg zijn, moeten twee nieuwe batterijen van het type AAA worden geplaatst.

1. Open het batterijvak van de afstandsbediening door het deksel van het batterijvak naar beneden te schuiven.

2. Haal de oude batterijen eruit, indien aanwezig.

Aanwijzing : Neem de aanwijzingen voor afvalverwijdering in acht (zie „9.2 Batterijen/accu’s“ op pagina 52).

3. Plaats de nieuwe batterijen. Aanwijzing : let bij het plaatsen van

de batterijen op de juiste polariteit (+/ –). De juiste polariteit is op het batterijvak ingedrukt.

4. Schuif het deksel weer op het batterijvak.

6. Bediening

6.1 Weergaven in het display

De gekozen functie wordt op het display 10 aangegeven.

6.2 Afstandsbediening

2. Schakel de stroomvoorziening in door de hoofdschakelaar 5 op "ON" te zetten.

De hoofdschakelaar 5 brandt.

3. Schakel het apparaat in door de Aan/ Uit-toets 16 resp. 22 in te drukken.

Het display 10 geeft de actuele kamertemperatuur aan.

4. Schakel het apparaat uit door de Aan/ Uit-toets 16 resp. 22 opnieuw in te drukken.

Het apparaat loopt nog kort na en schakelt zichzelf dan uit.

5. Om de stroomvoorziening helemaal uit te schakelen zet u de hoofdschakelaar 5 op "OFF".

Eventueel ingestelde waarden gaan daarbij verloren.

Het apparaat kan op het bedieningsveld 2 of met de afstandsbediening 23 worden bediend. De in de tekst aangeven referentienummers gelden voor het bedieningsveld 2 resp. de afstandsbediening 23.

6.3 Apparaat in- en uitschakelen

1. Steek de netstekker in een stopcontact die voldoet aan de technische gegevens (zie „3. Technische gegevens“ op pagina 43).

6.4 Verwarmingsvermogen instellen

1. Om een verwarmingsstand te kiezen drukt u de functiekiezer 11 resp. 21 net zo vaak in tot de gewenste verwarmingsstand in het display 10 wordt weergegeven:

– Klein verwarmingsvermogen:

apparaat werkt met 1000 watt

– Groot verwarmingsvermogen:

apparaat werkt met 2000 watt

– Vorstbeschermingsmodus: apparaat

voorkomt dat de kamertemperatuur onder de vorstgrens daalt.

– Ventilatormodus: ventilator draait

zonder verwarming

6.5 Temperatuur kiezen

1. Kies één van de beide verwarmingsstanden.

2. Met de toets "+" 14 resp. 18 verhoogt u de gewenste temperatuur tot maximaal 35 °C.

3. Met de toets "-" 15 resp. 17 verlaagt u de gewenste temperatuur tot minimaal 5°C.

De gekozen gewenste temperatuur wordt op het display 10 aangegeven.

Zodra de kamertemperatuur de gewenste temperatuur heeft bereikt, wordt de verwarming uitgeschakeld. De ventilator loopt nog enkele seconden na om hitteophoping te voorkomen.

Wanneer de kamertemperatuur onder de gewenste temperatuur daalt, wordt de verwarming automatisch weer ingeschakeld.

6.6 Looptijd instellen

Het apparaat beschikt over een timer waarmee u de gewenste looptijd kunt instellen. De maximale looptijd is 23 uur en 59 minuten. Na verstrijken van de looptijd wordt het apparaat automatisch uitgeschakeld.

1. Om de timer in te schakelen drukt u op de timertoets 12 resp. 19.

In het display verschijnt 00:00 en knipperen de uren.

2. Druk op de toets "+" 14 resp. 18, om de uren hoger in te stellen.

3. Druk op de toets "-" 15 resp. 17, om de uren lager in te stellen.

4. Druk opnieuw op de timertoets 12 resp. 19.

De minuten knipperen.

5. Druk op de toets "+" 14 resp. 18, om de minuten hoger in te stellen.

6. Druk op de toets "-" 15 resp. 17, om de minuten lager in te stellen.

7. Druk opnieuw op de timertoets 12 resp. 19 om de timer te activeren.

De gekozen looptijd wordt op het display 10 aangegeven.

Zodra de ingestelde looptijd is verstreken, wordt het apparaat automatisch uitgeschakeld.

8. Om het apparaat ondanks geactiveerde timer uit te schakelen drukt u op de Aan/Uit-toets 16 resp. 22.

6.7 Zwenkfunctie

Het apparaat beschikt over een zwenkfunctie.

Deze functie zorgt ervoor dat het apparaat heen en weer zwenkt en dat de uittredende lucht daardoor gelijkmatiger in de ruimte wordt verdeeld:

1. Schakel de draaifunctie in door de toets voor draaifunctie 13 resp. 20 in te drukken.

2. Schakel de draaifunctie uit door de toets voor de draaifunctie 13 resp. 20 opnieuw in te drukken.

2. Controleer of de luchtintrede of luchtuittrede belemmerd is en verhelp de oorzaak.

Wanneer er geen oorzaak vastgesteld kan worden en de fout herhaaldelijk optreedt, laat het apparaat dan repareren of zet het buiten werking.

3. Wacht af tot het apparaat afgekoeld is.

4. Daarna kunt u het apparaat normaal verder gebruiken.

Indien de kamertemperatuur boven 50 °C stijgt, schakelt de beveiliging tegen oververhitting het apparaat eveneens uit. Het kan pas weer worden gebruikt als de kamertemperatuur onder 50 °C daalt.

6.9 Veiligheidsschakelaar

Het apparaat wordt met een veiligheidschakelaar tegen schade door omvallen beveiligd.

De veiligheidsschakelaar zit aan de onderkant van het apparaat en schakelt dit onmiddellijk uit wanneer het apparaat omvalt:

1. Zet het apparaat dan weer rechtop neer.

2. Kies opnieuw de gewenste functie (zie „6.1 Weergaven in het display“ op pagina 48).

6.8 Beveiliging tegen oververhitting

Voor uw veiligheid beschikt dit apparaat over een beveiliging tegen oververhitting.

Als de temperatuur in het inwendige van het apparaat te hoog wordt, schakelt het automatisch uit:

1. Schakel het apparaat uit door de hoofdschakelaar 5 op "OFF" te zetten.

7. Reiniging

U moet het apparaat regelmatig reinigen om lang plezier van uw apparaat te hebben.

Waarschuwing! Om gevaar van een elektrische schok of een verbranding te voorkomen: – Trek voor elke reiniging de

stekker uit het stopcontact; – Laat het apparaat afkoelen; – Dompel het apparaat nooit

onder in water; – Laat geen water of

reinigingsmiddel in het apparaat

lopen.

1. Verwijder grote stofophopingen in het luchtuitlaatrooster 4 voorzichtig met een stofzuiger.

2. De restanten verwijdert u met een zachte borstel.

Let erop dat daarbij geen stof in het inwendige van het apparaat valt.

3. Haal het luchtinlaatrooster 9 eraf.

4. Reinig het luchtinlaatrooster 9 en het filterrooster dat daarachter ligt, van stof.

5. Reinig de buitenkant van het apparaat met een vochtige doek. U kunt ook een beetje afwasmiddel nemen.

Voorzichtig! Gebruik nooit scherpe of schurende reinigingsmiddelen omdat uw apparaat hierdoor beschadigd kan worden.

6. Afvegen met een doek die vochtig werd gemaakt met helder water.

7. Gebruik het apparaat pas opnieuw, als het weer volledig droog is.

9. Weggooien

9.1 Apparaat

Het symbool van de doorstreepte afvalcontainer op wielen betekent dat het product in de Europese Unie apart moet worden verwijderd.

Dit geldt voor het product en alle van dit symbool voorziene accessoires. Met dit symbool gekenmerkte producten mogen nooit met het gewone huisvuil worden verwijderd, maar moeten worden ingediend bij een inzamelpunt voor de recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparaten. Recycling helpt het verbruik van grondstoffen te verminderen en het milieu te ontlasten. Let daarom in elk geval op de afvalverwijderingsvoorschriften in uw land.

9.2 Batterijen/accu’s

Batterijen mogen niet bij het huisvuil worden verwijderd. Lege batterijen

moeten volgens de voorschriften worden ingeleverd. Voor dit doel staan er in winkels die batterijen verkopen en bij de gemeentelijke inzamelplaatsen overeenkomstige bakken voor het weggooien van batterijen klaar. Batterijen

en accu's die van de volgende letters zijn voorzien, bevatten o.a. de volgende schadelijke stoffen: Cd (cadmium), Hg (kwikzilver), Pb (lood).

9.3 Verpakking

Als u de verpakking wilt verwijderen, dient u de in uw land geldende milieuvoorschriften na te leven.

10. Garantie van de HOYER Handel GmbH

Geachte klant, Op dit apparaat verlenen wij 3 jaar garantie vanaf de koopdatum. In geval van

defecten aan dit product heeft u wettelijke rechten tegenover de verkoper van het product. Deze wettelijke rechten worden door onze hierna beschreven garantie niet beperkt.

Garantievoorwaarden

De garantieperiode begint vanaf de koopdatum. Bewaar de originele kassabon op een veilige plaats. Deze bon heeft u nodig om de koopdatum aan te tonen.

Indien binnen drie jaar vanaf de koopdatum van het product een materiaal- of fabricagefout optreedt, wordt het product door ons (naar onze keuze) of kosteloos voor u gerepareerd of vervangen. De voorwaarde voor deze garantieprestatie is dat binnen de periode van drie jaar het defecte apparaat en de koopkwitantie (kassabon) wordt ingeleverd en schriftelijk kort wordt beschreven waaruit het gebrek bestaat en wanneer dit is opgetreden.

Wanneer het defect door onze garantie wordt gedekt, ontvangt u het gerepareerde of een nieuw product terug. Door de reparatie of vervanging van het product begint geen nieuwe garantieperiode.

Garantieperiode en wettelijke aanspraak op garantie

De garantieperiode wordt door de garantie niet verlengd. Dit geldt ook voor vervangen en gerepareerde onderdelen. Eventueel al bij de koop aanwezige schade en gebreken

moeten direct na het uitpakken worden gemeld. Aan reparaties die na afloop van de garantieperiode noodzakelijk worden, zijn kosten verbonden.

Omvang van de garantie

Het apparaat werd volgens strenge kwaliteitsrichtlijnen geproduceerd en vóór de levering zorgvuldig gecontroleerd. De garantie geldt voor materiaal- of fabricagefouten. Deze garantie wordt niet verleend voor productonderdelen die blootgesteld zijn aan normale slijtage en daarom als slijtonderdelen worden beschouwd of voor beschadigingen aan breekbare onderdelen, bijvoorbeeld schakelaars, accu’s en onderdelen die van glas zijn gemaakt. Deze garantie vervalt wanneer het product werd beschadigd, niet vakkundig werd gebruikt of onderhouden. Voor een vakkundig gebruik van het product moeten alle aanwijzingen in de gebruiksaanwijzing nauwkeurig worden opgevolgd. Toepassingsdoelen en handelingen waarvan in de gebruiksaanwijzing wordt afgeraden of waarvoor wordt gewaarschuwd, moeten beslist worden vermeden. Het product is enkel voor particulier gebruik en niet voor commercieel gebruik bedoeld. Bij misbruik of onvakkundige behandeling, gebruik van geweld en bij ingrepen die niet door ons geautoriseerde servicecenter worden uitgevoerd, vervalt de garantie.

1. Description

1.1 Intended purpose

This SilverCrest SHT 2000 A1 ceramic tower heater may be used to heat dry rooms. This appliance is intended for private use and is not suitable for commercial purposes. The appliance is suitable for providing auxiliary heating. It is less suitable for use on its own to heat large spaces. The appliance is floor standing only.

Familiarize yourself with all the operating and safety instructions before using the product. Use the product only as described and for the stated spheres of application.

If you pass the product on to a third party, always pass on all the documentation as well.

• The appliance must only be set up on a firm, level, dry and non-flammable surface.

• Check that the power socket is easily accessible so that you can pull out the mains plug quickly if necessary.

4.3 Protection against electric shock

Warning! The following safety information is intended to protect you against electric shock.

• Only plug the appliance into a correctly installed, earthed wall socket.

• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, received a hard blow or fallen into water. In this case, please contact our Service Centre. The contact data can be found in “Service Centre” on page 66.

• The appliance must not under any circumstances be used if it is damaged. Have the device repaired in such cases by a qualified specialist. The contact data can be found in “Service Centre” on page 66.

• If the mains cable for this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a person with similar qualifications in order to avoid a hazard.

• Never use the appliance in the immediate vicinity of a sink, bath tub, shower or swimming pool as splashes might enter the appliance.

• Water or other liquids must never be allowed to enter the appliance. For this reason: –never use outdoors; – never place containers filled with

liquid, such as drinking glasses, vases etc. on the appliance;

– never use in a very damp environment

such as a bathroom.

If nonetheless liquid does enter the appliance, unplug the mains plug immediately and have the appliance repaired by a qualified specialist. The contact data can be found in “Service Centre” on page 66.

• Never insert fingers or any objects through the protective guards into the inside of the appliance.

• Never touch the appliance, the mains cord or the mains plug with moist hands.

• Always pull the mains cord out by the plug. Never pull it by the cord itself.

• Ensure that the mains cable is not kinked, twisted or crushed.

• Ensure that the mains cable is not damaged on sharp edges.

• Keep the mains cord away from hot surfaces (such as stove eyes).

• If you are not using the appliance for a prolonged period of time, remove the plug from the wall socket. Only then is the appliance completely free of current.

• You should avoid using extension cords. This is only allowed under very particular conditions: – The extension cord has to be suited for

the appliance's amperage.

– The extension cord must not be

– No other devices other than this

appliance must be connected to the mains socket, as otherwise overloading of the power supply network could occur (multiple sockets are not allowed!).

• The appliance must not be operated with an external time switch or separate remote control system, such as a wireless remote control socket.

4.4 Protection against the danger of fire

Warning! As the appliance works at high temperatures, please observe the following safety information to prevent fire.

• While the appliance is operating, there must be no flammable objects (e.g. curtains, paper) in the immediate vicinity of the appliance.

• Never use the appliance to dry textiles or other items on, over or in front of the appliance.

• To avoid overheating, the appliance must never be covered.

• When setting up the appliance, maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m from other appliances and the wall.

• Never operate the appliance in rooms where there is a risk of explosion or in the vicinity of flammable gases or liquids.

• The appliance must never be placed immediately beneath a wall socket, as the heat it generates could damage the electrical installation.

• Always check that air can freely enter and escape. Heat might otherwise build up inside the appliance.

• Never leave the appliance running when it is unattended. The presence of odour is almost always an indication of damage. If you notice any such odour, unplug the mains plug immediately and have the appliance inspected. The contact data can be found in “Service Centre” on page 66.

4.5 Protection against injury

Warning! To avoid injury, please observe the following information.

• Ensure that it is not possible for anyone to trip over or to get caught up in or step on the mainscable.

• Stay sufficiently far from the appliance to ensure that the fan cannot suck hair or items of clothing into the appliance.

• Once hot, if you wish to transport the appliance, switch it off, pull out the mains plug, and wait until the appliance has cooled down. Otherwise you could burn yourself on the hot surface.

4.6 For the safety of your child

Warning! Children often cannot assess dangers correctly and are injured as a result. Please therefore observe the following:

• This appliance may only be used under adult supervision to ensure that children do not play with the appliance.

• Always take care to ensure the appliance is kept out of the reach of children at all times.

• The remote control contains batteries. Ensure that they are kept out of the reach of children at all times and are not swallowed.

Ingested batteries can be highly dangerous. Obtain medical assistance immediately if the battery is swallowed.

• Ensure that the packing foil does not become a deadly trap for a child. Packing foils are not toys.

4.7 Handling batteries

Warning!

To prevent a risk of explosion, normal batteries must not be charged, heated or disposed of by burning.

• Never try to open the battery. To prevent injury, if battery acid has

leaked avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of

Note! As the appliance and heating coils are supplied with a thin film of grease, there might be a small amount of smoke and odour the first time the appliance is used. This is not harmful and will stop after a short while. Ensure meanwhile that there is sufficient ventilation.

1. Unpack the appliance from the packaging.

2. Remove the transport packaging.

3. Check that the appliance shows no signs of damage.

4.8 Material damage

Caution! To avoid material damage, please observe the following requirements.

• Never try to revolve the appliance manually as this might damage the motor.

• Remove the battery from the remote control if you are not using it for a prolonged period of time. A leaking battery could damage the remote control.

Warning! Ensure that there is sufficient distance from the wall, fixtures and other appliances. The distance must be at least 1.5m to exclude the risk of fire.

4. Select a location that complies with the safety information (see “4.2 General information” on page 56).

5. Select a location where the flow of hot air is not directly aimed at people, animals or plants.

6. Plug the mains plug into a wall socket that complies with the technical data.

Note: The appliance consumes up to 10 amperes of current (2,000 watts). If you have plugged other power consumers into the same circuit, check

that the maximum load for the installed fuse is not exceeded, as otherwise the fuse will trip.

5.2 Insert batteries

If the appliance is new or the batteries in the remote control are flat, new type AAA batteries must be inserted.

1. Open the battery compartment of the remote control by sliding the battery compartment lid down.

6. Operation

6.1 Displays

The selected function is shown in the display 10.

2. Remove the old batteries if present. Note: Please observe the instructions

for disposal (see “9.2 Disposable/ rechargeable batteries” on page 64).

3. Insert new batteries. Note: Ensure the correct polarity (+/–)

when inserting the batteries. The correct polarity is marked on the battery compartment.

4. Slide the lid back onto the battery compartment.

6.2 Remote control

The appliance can be operated using the control panel 2 or the remote control 23. The numbers in the text below refer to the control panel 2 and/or the remote control 23.

6.3 Switching the appliance on and off

1. Insert the mains plug into a wall socket that complies with the technical data (see “3. Technical data” on page 56).

2. Switch the mains switch 5 to “ON” to switch on the power supply.

The mains switch 5 lights up.

3. To switch the appliance on, press the On/Off button 16 or 22.

The display 10 shows the current room temperature.

4. To switch the appliance off, press the On/Off button 16 or 22.

The appliance will continue to run for a short period and then switch off.

5. To switch the power supply off completely, set the mains switch 5 to “OFF”.

Any values you have set will be lost when doing so.

6.4 Setting the heat output

1. To select a heating setting, press the function selector 11 or 21 repeatedly until the required heat setting appears in the display 10:

– Low heat: The appliance operates at

1,000 watts

– High heat: The appliance operates at

2,000 watts

– Fan mode: Fan without heater.

6.5 Selecting the temperature

1. Select one of the two heating settings.

2. Use the button “+” 14 or 18 to increase the set temperature up to a maximum of 35 °C.

3. Use the button “-” 15 or 17 to reduce the set temperature down to a minimum of 5 °C.

The set temperature is shown in the display 10.

The heater switches off as soon as the room reaches the set temperature. The fan continues to run for several seconds to prevent a build-up of heat. If the room temperature falls below the set temperature, the heater and fan switch on again automatically.

– Frost protection mode: The appliance

will prevent the room temperature from dropping below the frost line.

6.6 Setting the operating time

The appliance has a timer with which you can set the required operating time. The maximum operating time is 23 hours ans 59 minutes. The appliance switches off automatically once the operating time has expired.

1. To switch on the timer, press the timer button 12 or 19.

The display shows 00:00 and the hours flash.

2. Press the “+” button 14 or 18 to increase the hours.

3. Press the “-” button 15 or 17 to reduce the hours.

4. Press the timer button 12 or 19 again. The minutes flash.

5. Press the “+” button 14 or 18 to increase the minutes.

6. Press the “-” button 15 or 17 to reduce the minutes.

7. Press the timer button 12 or 19 again to activate the timer.

The selected operating time is shown in the display 10.

As soon as the set operating time has expired, the appliance switches off automatically.

8. To switch off the appliance while the timer is active, press the On/Off button 16 or 22.

6.7 Swivel function

The appliance has a swivel function. This causes the appliance to swivel to and

fro, distributing the exiting air more evenly through the room:

1. To switch the swivel function on, press the swivel function button 13 or 20.

2. To switch the swivel function off, press the swivel function button 13 or 20 again.

6.8 Thermal cut-out

For your safety the appliance has a thermal cut-out.

If the temperature inside the appliance becomes too high, the appliance switches off automatically:

1. Switch the mains switch 5 to “OFF” to switch off the appliance.

2. Check whether the air inlet or outlet is obstructed and remove the cause.

If you cannot establish a cause and the fault occurs repeatedly, have the appliance repaired or else take it out of use.

3. Wait for the appliance to cool down.

4. You can then continue to operate it normally.

If the room temperature exceeds 50 °C, the thermal cut-out also switches the appliance off automatically. The appliance can then only be switched on again once the room temperature has dropped below 50 °C.

6.9 Safety switch

The appliance is protected against accidental damage by a safety switch.

The safety switch is located on the bottom of the appliance and switches the appliance off immediately should it fall over:

1. Return the appliance to an upright position.

2. Select the required function again (see “6.1 Displays” on page 60).

7. Cleaning

To ensure your appliance gives you lasting service, you should clean it regularly.

Warning! To avoid the danger of an electric shock or burning: – remove the mains plug before

each clean;

– allow the appliance to cool

down;

– never immerse the appliance in

water;

– never allow water or cleaning

agent to run into the appliance.

1. Carefully remove major dust deposits in the air outlet grille 4 with a vacuum cleaner.

2. Remove any remaining dirt with a soft brush.

6. Wipe the appliance with a cloth moistened with clear water.

7. Do not use the appliance again until it has dried completely.

9. Disposal

9.1 Appliance

The symbol with the crossedout rubbish bin on wheels means that within the European Union, the product must be disposed of to a sorted rubbish

collection. This applies to the product and all accessories which are marked with this symbol. Marked products must not be disposed of via the regular domestic waste but must be handed in to a recycling centre for electrical or electronic devices. Recycling helps to reduce the use of raw materials and to relieve the environment. It is therefore imperative that you follow the disposal regulations applicable in your country.

Dear Customer, You have a warranty on this product which

is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. In the event of this product being defective, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty as set out below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period begins with the date of purchase. Please keep the original till receipt in a safe place. This is required as your proof of purchase.

9.2 Disposable/rechargeable batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Flat

batteries must be disposed of properly. Special containers for battery disposal are provided for this purpose at the shop where you bought the batteries or at a municipal collection point. Batteries and rechargeable batteries on which the following letters are printed contain harmful substances as follows: Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury), Pb (lead).

9.3 Packaging

If you would like to dispose of the packaging, please observe the corresponding environmental regulations in your country.

If a defect in materials or workmanship occurs within three years of the date your product was purchased, we will repair or replace the product at our discretion at no charge to you. This service under warranty assumes that the defective product and the proof of purchase (till receipt) are submitted within the three-year period and that a brief description in writing is provided of what the defect is and when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired product or a new one will be sent back to you. There is no new warranty period following repair or replacement of the product.

Warranty period and statutory claims relating to defects

The warranty period is not extended when a service is provided under warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damage or defects present at purchase must be reported immediately the product is unpacked. Repairs incurred once the warranty period has expired are chargeable.

Scope of warranty

The product has been carefully manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and was thoroughly checked before being delivered. The warranty applies to defective materials or workmanship. This warranty does not extend to product parts exposed to normal wear and tear (and which can therefore be considered wear parts) or to damage to fragile parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of glass. This warranty is void if the product is damaged or if it is not used or maintained properly. All the information in the operating instructions should be observed precisely to ensure that the product is used properly. It is essential to avoid intended uses and actions which are discouraged or warned against in the operating instructions. The product is intended for only private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty is void in the event of misuse, incorrect treatment, use of force or interference by anyone other than our authorized service centre.
