You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of
this product. They contain important information about safety, use and disposal.
Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of applications
specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner.

Intended use
This hair straightener is intended for straightening human hair only. Under no
circumstances is it to be used for wigs or hairpieces made of synthetic material.
This appliance is intended exclusively for private use. Pay heed to all of the information in this operating manual, especially the safety instructions. This appliance
is not intended for commercial applications.
The appliance is not intended for any other purpose, nor for use beyond the
scope described. No claims of any kind will be accepted for damage arising
as a result of incorrect use. The risk shall be borne solely by the user.

Safety information
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Connect the appliance only to mains power sockets supplying
a mains power voltage of 220–240 V ~, 50/60 Hz.
► Remove the plug from the mains power socket in case of
operating malfunctions and before you clean the appliance.
► Always pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance from the
mains; never pull on the power cable itself.
► Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or damp
during use. Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be
crushed or damaged.
► If the appliance, the power cable or the plug are damaged,
arrange for them to be repaired by Customer Services to
avoid hazardous situations.
► Do not use the appliance outdoors.
► Do not use extension cables – they will make it difficult to
disconnect the appliance quickly in an emergency.
► Never touch the appliance, the power cable or the power
plug with wet hands.
► Do not kink or crush the power cable, and route the cable
so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and
protect it from being damaged. Under no circumstances
should the appliance be submersed in liquids or liquids be
allowed to penetrate the housing. Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. If any liquid
gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the
mains power socket immediately and have it repaired by a
qualified technician.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Unplug the appliance immediately after use. The appliance
is completely free of electrical power only when unplugged.
Never use the appliance near water, and keep it away
from sinks, baths and other similar containers.
The proximity of water is hazardous, even if the appliance
is switched off. Always disconnect the plug from the
mains power socket after use. For additional protection,
we recommend that you install a residual current circuit
breaker with an activation power rating of no more than
30 mA for the power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your
electrician for advice.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Never leave a switched-on appliance unsupervised.
► Never place the appliance close to sources of heat, and
always protect the power cable from damage.
► Do not operate the appliance if it has been dropped or is
damaged in any way. Have the appliance checked and/or
repaired by qualified technicians if necessary.
► This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years
or more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge
if they are being supervised or have been instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance and have understood
the potential risks.
► Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
► Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out
by children, unless they are under supervision.

► Do not open the housing or attempt to repair the appliance
yourself. This can lead to hazards and also invalidates the
warranty. Defective appliances should be repaired by
authorized specialists only.
► The appliance heats up during use.
Always hold the appliance by its handle when it is hot.
Package contents
The appliance is supplied with the following components as standard:

1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the
carton.
2) Remove all packaging material.
3) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section entitled “Cleaning”.
NOTE
► Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage.
► If any items are missing or damaged as a result of defective packaging
or transportation, contact the service hotline (see section "Service").
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty period so
that the appliance can be properly packed for returning in the event of
a warranty claim.

Why use steam for straightening?
The added steam ensures that the hair is straightened gently. Depending on the
hair structure, the hair looks silkier and shinier because of the gentle straightening.
Before straightening
■ The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. The only exceptions
to this are special products that promote the straightening of the hair.
■ Comb the hair thoroughly before straightening so that there are no knots in it.

Automatic switch-off
This appliance is fitted with an automatic switch-off system. After 60 minutes
(+/− 6 minutes), the appliance will switch itself off automatically. If you want to
continue using the appliance, switch it off for a moment and then back on again.
NOTE
► The automatic switch-off is a safety function only and is not intended as a
replacement for switching the appliance off properly using the ON/OFF
switch !
Use
Filling the water tank
NOTE
► Fill the water tank only when you want to generate steam for straightening.
1) Unscrew the top of the fill bottle - and fill it with water. Screw the top back
on the fill bottle -.
2) Pull the water tank backwards and out of the appliance.
3) Open the black rubber closure on the water tank . When doing so, be
careful that you do not tear the rubber tab to which the rubber closure is
attached completely off the water tank . Pull out the rubber tab only far
enough out of the water tank so that the rubber closure opens and the
filling hole is free.
4) Twist the top off the fill bottle - and guide the tip into the large filler opening
on the water tank . Hold the water tank at a slight tilt when filling it, so
that the water runs downwards.
5) Squeeze the fill bottle - a little so that the water runs into the water tank .
6) When the water tank is filled up to the small opening next to the filler
opening, hold the water tank straight again and remove the fill bottle from the filler opening.
7) Close the rubber closure .
8) Push the water tank back onto the appliance so that it clicks audibly back
into place.

Switching on/off
NOTE
► The hotplates must be free of dirt. Clean them before use if required
(see section "Cleaning")

ed with the catch .
Press the hotplates together and pull the catch out.
Now you can open the hair straightener all the way.
1) Insert the plug into a mains socket.
2) Push the ON/OFF switch forwards into the “I” (ON) position.
The indicator light starts to flash red and the appliance heats up.
NOTE
► Steam generation requires a temperature of at least 170°C. At lower tempe-
ratures it is possible that hot water will come out of the upper hotplate .
3) Select the temperature suitable for your hair by turning the temperature
control :
– 150–170°C, low heat level, for fine hair,
not suitable for steam generation.
– 170–190°C, medium heat level, for normal hair,
suitable for steam generation.
– 190–210°C, high heat level, for thick hair,
suitable for steam generation.
– 210–230°C, highest heat level, for thick hair that is hard to style,
suitable for steam generation.
NOTE
► Select a high temperature for thick and strong hair.
► Select a lower temperature for fine and thin hair.
► If you are unsure, start with a lower temperature and increase the temperature
until you find the ideal temperature for you.
4) As soon as the hair straightener has reached the set temperature, the indicator
lamp will light up permanently red.
5) When you have finished styling your hair, push the ON/OFF switch backwards into the “0” (OFF) position. The indicator light goes out.
Pull out the plug and allow the appliance to cool down completely.

Straightening hair
1) Prepare the hair as described in “Before straightening”.
NOTE
►
After the hotplates have been pushed together about 5 times, steam
will be generated automatically because the steam activation is engaged
by each press
. Steam is now dispensed from the upper hotplate . If you
want to work with steam from the start, then press the hotplates
together as often as required until steam is dispensed
.
2) S
tart with the lower sections of hair at the back of your head. Work around
the sides to the front:
Take a strand with a width of approximately 2cm and hold its end tightly
between your index and middle finger of the hand that is not holding the
hair straightener.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Ensure that the hotplates do not touch your scalp. Risk of burns!
Never touch the hotplates or the upper part of the hair straightener
during operation! Risk of burns!
► You need to press the hotplates together approx. 5 times only before
the first time steam is dispensed. After this, steam is then dispensed every
time you press the hotplates together. If you press the hotplates
together too often without straightening your hair, drops of very hot water
will form. Risk of scalding!
3) Clamp the strand near the root between the hotplates and press them
together.
4) Pull the entire strand through the hotplates by pulling the hair straight-
ener quickly downwards from the root to the tips.
5) Proceed in the same way for every strand.
6) Once you have straightened all the strands, switch the appliance off and pull
the power plug from the mains power socket.
7) Allow the appliance to cool down completely.
Press the hotplates together and push the catch back in.

Cleaning
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Always remove the plug from the mains power socket before cleaning the
appliance.
► Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids during cleaning!
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
► Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents. They could damage
the surface.
1) Empty the water tank after each use and wipe it off with a damp cloth.
2) Wipe the housing and the hotplates with a damp cloth.
3) For stubborn soiling, add a mild detergent to the cloth. Wipe off any detergent
residue using a cloth moistened with clean water only.
4) Allow the appliance to dry fully before using it again.
Storage
■ Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface to cool down.
■ You can hang the appliance up by the hanger .
If you do not intend using the appliance for an extended period:
■ clean the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.
■ Store the appliance in a clean and dry location.

waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep
your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault
and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning
of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as
switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against
must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.

■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available
as proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front
page of the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of
the appliance.
■ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department
listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address
that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase

termék része. Fontos tudnivalókat tartalmaz a biztonságra, használatra és ártalmatlanításra vonatkozóan. A termék használata előtt ismerkedjen meg valamennyi
használati és biztonsági utasítással. Csak a leírtak szerint és a megadott célokra
használja a készüléket. A készülék harmadik személynek történő továbbadása
esetén adja át a készülékhez tartozó valamennyi leírást is.

Más vagy ezen túlmenő használat nem rendeltetésszerűnek minősül. Semmilyen,
a nem rendeltetésszerű használatból eredő kárigény nem érvényesíthető.

Biztonsági utasítások
ÁRAMÜTÉS VESZÉLYE
► A készüléket kizárólag az előírásoknak megfelelően tele-
pített és 220 - 240 V ~, 50/60 Hz hálózati feszültségű
csatlakozóaljzathoz csatlakoztassa.
► Üzemzavar esetén és a készülék tisztítása előtt húzza ki
a csatlakozódugót a csatlakozóaljzatból.
► A hálózati kábelt mindig a hálózati csatlakozónál és soha
ne a kábelnél fogva húzza ki a hálózati aljzatból.
► Ügyeljen arra, hogy használat közben a hálózati kábel ne
legyen vizes vagy nedves. Úgy helyezze el a kábelt, hogy
az ne szoruljon be vagy más módon se sérülhessen meg.
► A veszélyek elkerülése érdekében a sérült készüléket, hálózati
csatlakozót vagy vezetéket cseréltesse ki az ügyfélszolgálattal.
► Ne használja a készüléket a szabadban.
► Ne használjon hosszabbítót, hogy a csatlakozó vészhelyzet-
ben gyorsan elérhető legyen.
► Soha ne fogja meg nedves kézzel a készüléket, a hálózati
kábelt és a hálózati csatlakozódugót.
► Ne törje meg vagy ne csípje be a hálózati kábelt és úgy
helyezze el, hogy senki ne léphessen rá és botolhasson meg
benne.
► Ne tekerje a vezetéket a készülék köré és védje a sérülésektől.
A készüléket semmi esetre sem szabad folyadékba meríteni
és hagyni, hogy folyadék kerüljön a készülékházba. Védje
a készüléket a nedvességtől és ne használja a szabadban. Ha
mégis folyadék kerül a készülékházba, azonnal húzza ki a
készülék hálózati csatlakozódugóját a csatlakozóaljzatból
és javíttassa meg képzett szakemberrel.

ÁRAMÜTÉS VESZÉLYE
► Használat után azonnal válassza le a hálózatról a készüléket.
A készülék csak akkor teljesen árammentes, ha a csatlakozót
kihúzta a csatlakozóaljzatból.
Soha ne használja a készüléket víz, különösen mosdókagyló, fürdőkád vagy hasonló helyek közelében. A víz
közelsége még kikapcsolt készüléknél is veszélyt jelent. Ezért
minden használat után húzza ki a hálózati csatlakozódugót.
Kiegészítő védelemként javasolt egy legfeljebb 30 mA érzékenységű hibaáram-védőkapcsoló beszerelése a fürdőszoba
áramkörébe. Kérje villamossági szakember tanácsát.
FIGYELMEZTETÉS! SÉRÜLÉSVESZÉLY!
► Soha ne hagyja a bekapcsolt készüléket felügyelet nélkül.
► Soha ne helyezze a készüléket hőforrás közelébe és védje
a hálózati vezetéket a sérülésektől.
► Ha a készülék leesett vagy megsérült, nem szabad tovább
használni. Ellenőriztesse a készüléket szakképzett szakemberrel és szükség esetén javíttassa meg.
► A készüléket 8 éves kor feletti gyermekek és csökkent fizikai,
érzékszervi vagy mentális képességű vagy tapasztalattal
és/vagy tudással nem rendelkező személyek csak felügyelet mellett használhatják, vagy ha felvilágosították őket a
készülék biztonságos használatáról és megértették az ebből
eredő veszélyeket.
► Gyermekek nem játszhatnak a készülékkel.
► Felügyelet nélküli gyermekek nem végezhetnek karbantartási
és tisztítási munkát a készüléken.

Forró állapotban csak a markolatánál fogja meg.

1) Vegye ki a csomagolásból a készülék valamennyi részét és a használati
útmutatót!
2) Távolítsa el az összes csomagolóanyagot.
3) Tisztítsa meg a készülék valamennyi részét a „Tisztítás“ fejezetben leírtak
szerint.
TUDNIVALÓ
► Ellenőrizze a csomag tartalmát, hogy hiánytalan-e és nincs-e rajta látható
sérülés.
► Hiányos szállítás vagy a nem megfelelő csomagolásból eredő, illetve a
szállítás során keletkezett károk esetén forduljon az ügyfélszolgálathoz
(lásd a „Szerviz“ fejezetet).
A csomagolás ártalmatlanítása
A csomagolás védi a készüléket a sérülésektől a szállítás során. A csomagolóanyagokat környezetbarát és hulladék-ártalmatlanítási szempontok szerint
választottuk ki és ezért újrahasznosíthatók.
Nyersanyagot takarít meg és csökkenti a hulladékmennyiséget, ha a csomagolást
visszajuttatja a nyersanyag-körforgásba. A feleslegessé vált csomagolóanyagokat a hatályos helyi előírásoknak megfelelően ártalmatlanítsa.
TUDNIVALÓ
► Amennyiben lehetséges, őrizze meg az eredeti csomagolást a garancia
ideje alatt, hogy garanciális javítás esetén a készüléket megfelelően be
lehessen csomagolni.

Miért érdemes gőzzel simítani a hajat?
A hozzáadott gőz gondoskodik arról, hogy kíméletesen tudja kisimítani haját.
A kíméletes simítás által a haj - szerkezetétől függően - selymesebb és fényesebb
hatást kelt.
Hajvasalás előtt
■ Haja legyen tiszta, száraz és ne legyen rajta semmilyen hajformázó szer.
Ez alól kivételt képeznek a haj simítását elősegítő speciális termékek.
■ Alaposan fésülje át a haját simítás előtt, hogy ne legyenek benne hajcsomók.

Automatikus kikapcsolás
A készülék automatikus kikapcsolással van felszerelve. 60 perc elteltével
(+/- 6 perc) a készülék automatikusan kikapcsol. Ha tovább szeretné használni a készüléket, akkor kapcsolja ki rövid időre, majd azonnal kapcsolja be a
készüléket.
TUDNIVALÓ
► Az automatikus kikapcsolás csak biztonsági célú és nem helyettesíti
a készülék BE/KI kapcsolóval történő kikapcsolását!
Használat
A víztartály feltöltése
TUDNIVALÓ
► Csak akkor töltsön vizet a víztartályba , ha a simításhoz gőzt szeretne
létrehozni.
1) Csavarja le a töltőflakon - tetejét és töltse meg vízzel. Ezt követően csavarja
vissza a töltőflakon - tetejét.
2) Húzza ki a víztartályt hátrafelé a készülékből.
3) Nyissa ki a víztartályon lévő fekete gumidugót . Ügyeljen arra, hogy ne
tépje le teljesen a víztartályról a gumifület, amin a gumidugó található.
Csak annyira húzza le a gumifület a víztartályról , amíg ki nem nyílik a
gumidugó és szabaddá nem válik a betöltő nyílás.
4) Csavarja le a töltőflakon - kupakját és helyezze a végét a víztartály
nagy betöltő nyílásába. Feltöltésekor tartsa a víztartályt kissé ferdén,
hogy a víz lefolyjon.
5) Nyomja meg kissé a töltőflakont -, hogy a víz a víztartályba folyjon.
6) Ha a víztartály a betöltőnyílás melletti kis nyílásig van vízzel, akkor tartsa
megint egyenesen a víztartályt és vegye el a töltőflakont - a betöltőnyílástól.
7) Zárja be a gumidugót .
8) Tolja vissza a víztartályt a készülékre úgy, hogy az egy hallható „kattanással“
bekattanjon.

Be- /kikapcsolás
TUDNIVALÓ
► A hajvasaló-lapokon nem lehet szennyeződés. Használat előtt tisztít-
sa meg a hajvasaló-lapokat (lásd a „Tisztítás“ fejezetet)
.

észüléket retesz biztosítja.
Nyomja össze a hajvasaló-lapokat és húzza ki a reteszt .
A hajsimító ekkor nagyra nyitható.
1) Csatlakoztassa a hálózati csatlakozódugót a csatlakozóaljzatba.
2) Tolja előre a BE/KI kapcsolót az „I“ (BE) állásba. A jelzőlámpa
pirosan villogni kezd és jelzi a felfűtést.

► Gőz létrehozása csak 170 °C feletti hőmérsékleten lehetséges. Alacsonyabb
hőmérséklet esetén előfordulhat, hogy forró víz folyik ki a felső hajvasalólapból .
3) Válassza ki a hajának megfelelő hőmérsékletet a hőmérséklet-szabályozó
elforgatásával:
– 150 - 170°C, alacsony hőfokozat, vékony szálú haj esetén,
nem alkalmas gőz létrehozásához.
– 170 - 190°C, közepes hőfokozat, normál haj esetén,
alkalmas gőz létrehozásához.
– 190 - 210°C, magas hőfokozat, erős szálú haj esetén,
alkalmas gőz létrehozásához.
– 210 - 230°C, legmagasabb fokozat, erőteljes és nehezen formázható
haj esetén, alkalmas gőz létrehozásához.
TUDNIVALÓ
► Vastag és erős szálú haj esetén válasszon magasabb hőmérsékletet.
► Vékony szálú haj esetén válasszon alacsonyabb hőmérsékletet.
► Ha bizonytalan, kezdjen mindig alacsony hőfokkal, majd növelje a hőfokot
addig, amíg meg nem találja az ideális hőmérsékletet.
4) Amint a hajsimító felmelegedett a beállított hőmérsékletre, a jelzőlámpa
folyamatosan pirosan világít.
5) A hajformázás befejezését követően tolja a BE/KI kapcsolót hátra, a „0“
állásba (KI). A jelzőlámpa kialszik.
Húzza ki a hálózati csatlakozódugót és hagyja lehűlni a készüléket.

Hajvasalás
1) Készítse elő a hajat a „Hajvasalás előtt“ fejezetben leírtak szerint.

►
A hajvasaló-lapok kb. ötszöri összenyomásával automatikusan gőz
keletkezik, mivel a gőzaktiváló minden összenyomáskor működtetve van.

or a felső hajvasaló-lap gőzt ad ki. Ha Ön kezdettől fogva gőzzel
kíván dolgozni, akkor nyomja össze annyiszor a hajvasaló-lapokat ,
amíg gőz nem jön ki belőle
.
2) K
ezdje a hajsimítást a tarkón lévő alsó hajrészekkel. Oldalról előrefelé
dolgozzon:
Válasszon le egy kb
. 2 cm széles hajtincset és csíptesse össze feszesen a
végét a hajtőnél annak a kezének a mutató és középső ujjával, amelyikben
nem tartja a hajsimítót.
FIGYELMEZTETÉS! SÉRÜLÉSVESZÉLY!
► Ügyeljen arra, hogy a hajvasaló-lapok ne érjenek a fejbőrhöz. Égési
sérülés veszélye! Működés közben soha ne érjen a hajvasaló-lapokhoz
vagy a hajsimító felső részéhez! Égési sérülés veszélye!
► A hajvasaló-lapokat csak az első gőzkibocsátás előtt kell kb.
5-ször összenyomni. Ezután a hajvasaló-lapok minden további
összenyomásakor gőz keletkezik. Ha túl gyakran összenyomja a hajvasalólapokat anélkül, hogy közben hajat simítana, akkor forró vízcseppek
keletkeznek. Leforrázhatja magát!
3) Csíptesse a hajtincset a fejbőr közelében a hajvasaló-lapok közé és
nyomja össze a lapokat.
4) Húzza át az egész hajtincset a hajvasaló-lapokon úgy, hogy a hajsimítót a hajtőtől a hajvégekig gyorsan lefelé húzza.
5) Tegye ezt minden egyes hajtinccsel.
6) Ha minden hajtincs sima, akkor kapcsolja ki a készüléket és húzza ki a
csatlakozódugót a csatlakozóaljzatból.
7) Hagyja teljesen lehűlni a készüléket.
Nyomja össze a sütőlapokat és tolja vissza a reteszt .
