What is the secret behind the renowned quality of EIZO FlexScan monitors? It’s

simple, really — we build them ourselves.

While many of today’s monitor brands outsource development and production to third parties, we still design, manufacture, and test our products inhouse. In fact, we’re the last brand of desktop LCD monitors that still makes its products in Japan. By doing everything ourselves, we can develop products with the specific features our customers need, and

bring them to market when our customers need them.

To incorporate the latest technologies in our products and ensure they are enjoyable to use, we invest heavily in R&D. At our corporate headquarters in

Japan we have a newly-built R&D center. Here, all the engineers who develop FlexScan products are in one location, allowing for improved efficiency and reduced development times for increased competitiveness.

Safety and reliability are hallmarks of FlexScan monitors and our quality control process calls for comprehensive testing. For example, we have our own anechoic chambers to confirm that our products comply with international regulations covering electromagnetic interference (EMI) and susceptibility. We also put our monitors through a battery of tests such as long-life testing where they are kept powered on for tens of thousands of hours and their image quality is regularly checked

Achieving the optimum product quality ultimately relies on manufacturing. Our process starts with our people. We train and test them for every task, whether veteran or newcomer, to ensure the job is done right. Their careful attention to detail on the assembly line is instrumental in improving our manufacturing and maintaining our high level of quality.

Automation has its part to play too, and we use it to take full advantage of robotic and CCD (charge coupled device) camera technologies. This allows us to more efficiently perform mechanical tasks such as screw insertion and image adjustment.

A CCD (charge coupled device) camera checks and adjusts the monitor’s color temperature, gamma, white balance, and brightness.

Before shipping, each monitor is inspected individually. Although automated testing is sufficient for confirming many facets of image display, the human eye is still the best tool for judging whether midtones and hues are displayed properly.

Our insistence on designing, testing, and manufacturing our monitors is why they are recognized as the best. It is also why we are confident enough to back them up with the industry’s only five-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Touch Panels
